Title: Agamemnon Contingency

Months ago, I analyzed and categorized all of the members of the Justice League, creating contingency plans and strategies to counter and subdue each individual member. This is in the unlikely, but not improbable event that one of the members of the League goes rogue, succumbs to mind control, is cloned for malicious purposes, or is coerced into committing actions which endangers the public if not the entire planet. Such strategies would also apply, with varying degrees of certainty, to evil or at least criminally inclined versions of Justice League members throughout the multiverse.

Throughout our careers of protecting the Earth and its people from threats within and without the orbit of our world, the heroes of the Justice League have also had to contend with threats hailing from entirely different dimensions, as well as entirely different universes. With help from the likes of Justice League members Cyborg, Doctor Fate, and the Flash, I have been able to monitor entire universes as a precaution against extra-universal threats. In my time examining these alternate timelines, realities, and dimensions, I have come to find a variety of heroes, super villains, and individuals whose powers, if directed against the Earth of our reality, could bring terrible destruction upon it.

Just as with members of the Justice League, we need to have plans in place to defeat any one of these super powered individuals in case any one of them should pose a threat. I do not seek conflict with any reality beyond our own, and on a personal level, I have considerable admiration for many of the individuals that I am about to strategize against. Some of the heroes that I will detail have a dedication to the values of truth and justice that I also believe in. However, this world that I have sworn to defend cannot afford to not be prepared should any extra dimensional threat come its way.

Those who did not prepare for the worst suffered dearly for it. As such, this is a continuation of my contingencies against rogue Justice League members. The difference is that my stratagems are to be directed against possible threats beyond the borders of this universe.

Agamemnon Contingency File 1

Code Name: Elemental Harmony

Aang, known colloquially as the "Avatar," hailed from a monastery of monks known as the Southern Air Tribe. In his world, there are four key elements: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. A not insignificant plurality of humans in the world that Aang hails from are known as "benders." These gifted individuals can use a combination of their will and a spiritual energy known as "chi" to perform hydrokinesis, terrakinesis, pyrokinesis, or aerokinesis. Regardless of the individual element used, benders possess superhuman capabilities, allowing them to engage in combat in a way few people in my world could even conceive of.

However, while the vast majority of element benders can only wield one element in combat, Aang is unbound by this limitation, for he is an incarnation of the Avatar. The duty of the Avatar is to act as a defender of harmony and a bulwark against malevolent spiritual forces beyond the mortal plain. Aang's primary duty is to maintain balance between the various elemental factions, bringing peace and establishing harmony as a result. Rather uniquely, Aang possesses mastery of all four elements, bridging the physical and spiritual realms of his world.

Born into the Southern Air Tribe: one of four monasteries of air benders, Aang was recognized at the young age of twelve to be the next Avatar at a time when the Fire Nation had ambitions of conquering the rest of the known world. Under the stress of training to bear such a burden at such a young age, Aang fled from the monastery, and he and his pet sky Bison, Appa, became encased in ice not far from the South Pole of his Earth. After nearly a century of being trapped in a type of meditative stasis, Aang reawakened, now confronted with a world that had endured decades of war and strife.

With airbending, Aang is capable of flight, using wind currents and cyclones of varying sizes as projectile weapons, and maintaining a comfortable temperature around his body with only minimal covering for exceptional heat and cold. He can also enhance his prodigious agility and defend against very specific types of attack. Having learned airbending since he was very young, Aang's versatility with aerokinesis is a sight to behold.

Waterbending provides Aang the ability to use water for much the same purposes. He can lash out with whips or entire waves for offense or use that same element to defend against attacks that would be neutralized by water. Aside from the element of air, Aang has the most amount of experience with water bending, and some of the feats he has accomplished with it have proven nothing less than devastating.

Earth bending allows Aang to use the very ground beneath him as a tool for use in combat. Although purer elements and materials like platinum are beyond his capacity to manipulate, he can still create landslides, cause small earthquakes, collapse large quantities of rock and soil to disrupt the environment, launch boulders at adversaries, and even create makeshift shelters and shields on the fly. The grand scale feats that Aang could accomplish with this element are deeply concerning to think about.

Firebending is the fourth element at Aang's disposal. It is the only element that is created from the will and chi of its user, and not by simply manipulating existing material. Aang can launch fire at his opponents through a variety of ways. Most commonly, it can enhance his physical strikes, adding an elemental component to physical combat. Although it is the element that Aang has the least amount of experience with, its potential to cause collateral damage is exceptional, if given the right circumstances.

Aside from the four main elements that I have just described, Aang is also a master of an obscure technique known as "energybending." By focusing on two central points of a person's chakras and overpowering their will and chi with his own, Aang can grant them bending powers or remove their ability to bend elements permanently. This was the punishment he dealt to Fire Lord Ozai at the climax of their battle under the burning luminescence of Sozin's Comet: an extraterrestrial body whose mere presence in the sky can boost the raw power of firebenders once every one hundred years.

During meditation, Aang can convene with past incarnations of himself, gaining their insight and knowledge. With thousands of years of experience to draw from, this makes Aang's intellect with regard to martial combat and tactics considerable despite his young age. His connection to the spirit world of his universe can provide him with other means of insight and assistance that few are capable of receiving.

Aang's mastery of all four elements is a precursor to his most overtly powerful ability: the Avatar State. By entering into this semi meditative state, Aang unlocks the power, wisdom, and experience of all previous Avatars over the past ten thousand years. When he unleashes his full potential, he is capable of the same feats as past incarnations, allowing him to wield the elements on a scale that can devastate a small country if not greater.

Psychologically speaking, Aang is a pacifist, and the taking of life, regardless of the context for it, is abhorrent to him. He would prefer to avoid needless violence if it can be helped. These traits both present avenues to subdue him in a worst case scenario where his psychological profile is not dramatically altered.

In my research of element bending, I have come across obscure and even malicious bending arts, such as bloodbending, and metalbending. As such, my contingencies for Aang will take the possibility that he can use such techniques into account. As of recording this file, there is no evidence to suggest that Aang has learned these more specialized forms of bending. However, the intimate influence of his companions and the unpredictable nature of a confrontation with the Avatar demands that I prepare for even these possibilities.

The initial phase of my strategy will be to target Aang's allies. This phase can diverge into one of two ways: containing his companions to deprive him of their support during combat and provide leverage to negotiate with him, or providing a distraction to draw his attention away from using his element bending to pose a danger to others.

To briefly summarize his closest companions and their capabilities: Sokka is a young, non-bending warrior from the Southern Water tribe, whose skills with his boomerang and his specially forged sword are exceptional. Despite his relatively young age, Sokka possesses considerable bravery, fortitude, and strategic intelligence.

Katara, the younger sister of Sokka, is a water bender from the same tribe as her brother. A skilled fighter in her own right, she had a major hand in training and refining Aang's technique throughout much of their journey together. Arguably her most potent abilities are icebending, allowing her to effortlessly freeze and unfreeze ice for offensive and tactical purposes, and water healing, allowing her to mend wounds with the use of a clean source of water.

Finally, Toph, the youngest of the four, is a prodigal earthbender from a prominent family in the Earth Kingdom. A rugged and skillful combatant despite her age and small size, she was born blind, but overcame this limitation early on in her career by adapting the earthbending abilities of a species of mammal known as badgermoles. As a result of this training, Toph can literally feel the earth around her, even when it is unconnected to the ground. Furthermore, her sense of hearing is keen and her sense of touch is so potent that she can feel vibrations in the earth to sense attacks and even determine if someone is trying to deceive her.

Each of Aang's allies is formidable in their own way, and together, they can support Aang through a variety of means. Carefully orchestrating the capture of one or better yet all of Aang's companions, ensuring no harm comes to them, I aim to draw Aang to an environment of my choosing. This would leverage the care he possesses for the wellbeing of his friends: a frequently demonstrated hallmark of his character.

On a side note, I have to respect the capabilities of Sokka, Katara, and Toph. Underestimating any one of them could jeopardize the overall contingency plan. My approach to capture any one of them would heavily incorporate stealth and precision, incapacitating Aang's friends in non-lethal ways to compel him to respond.

The second phase of my strategy, with Aang and potentially his companions isolated from one another, accounts for the very critical factor of the battlefield environment. By drawing Aang to or entrapping him in a location that deprives him of access to large bodies of water, open skies, and abundant earth materials, I can heavily reduce his mobility and his elemental arsenal. Incorporation of technology such as sonic emitters for air, dehumidifiers for any trace amounts of water, electromagnetic fields for the possibility of earth bending, and heat dampeners to weaken pyrokinetic attacks would further reduce the effectiveness of Aang's unique abilities.

To account for the slim possibility that Aang can use advanced techniques like metalbending I will incorporate non-metal materials for my gadgetry and whatever traps I use against the Avatar, preventing him from using the environment or my own assets against me. Additionally, to account for the threat that might be posed by bloodbending, my suit will be equipped with countermeasures that will simultaneously maintain my mobility while protecting my circulatory system from manipulation. Given Aang's moral compass and lack of confirmed training with such a technique means that encountering bloodbending is unlikely, but caution necessitates a defense against even this improbability.

However, for all of my strategies and tactics, the Avatar State represents Aang at his most powerful. The wealth of experience and technical mastery provided subconsciously by his past incarnations combined with the raw power he can wield in this state means that if he is provoked into entering the Avatar State, it will significantly complicate any attempts to neutralize Aang. Therefore, the crux of my strategy is to engage Aang in a manner that will not push him to this last resort.

Delving further into psychological tactics, emphasizing my intention to avoid harming Aang's friends and seeking a peaceful resolution may help him to maintain his emotional balance, keeping the Avatar State at bay. In terms of more tangible means of disrupting Aang, weapons such as flashbang grenades to stop his concentration, and gas pellets that could hinder deep breathing would undermine his attempts to use airbending and firebending techniques, the latter relying heavily on proper breathing to give life to a firebender's flames.

In confronting Aang, I will emphasize the use of dialogue and reasoning over direct conflict. If we cross paths and the safety of the world and the general public is at stake, I will try to forge an alliance between us, recognizing our shared dedication to peace.
