Vale
Vale was just under attack by grimm that was led into the city by the white fang. Everything was calming down until a rip in the sky appeared above Vale.
"What's that?!" a girl in a red and black dress shouted as she pointed at the sky. This girl is Ruby Rose leader of team RWBY.
"Team RWBY consisting of Ruby, her BFF Weiss Schnee, the ex-white fang member Blake Belladonna, and Ruby's half-sister Yang Xiao Long.
"I'm not sure Rubes but it doesn't look good." Yang said also looking at the rip in the sky.
Soon something black shot across Vale landing in the distance but before anyone could go see what it was a pure white humanoid figure fell out of the rip in the sky which immediately closed.
As soon as the humanoid figure hit the ground dust kicked up in the air making people cover their eyes.
When the dust settled, people looked where the figure fell only to be terrified at what they saw.
Standing up from the crater it made was a creature that stood on two legs, it looked almost human if it wasn't for three things, those being the creature was white with what looked like black markings on its body and face, it had a skull like mask that had two horns like a grimm and most noticeable was the gaping hole in its chest.
"W-what is that thing?" Jaune the leader of team JNPR asked in fright.
The creature grabbed its forehead with one hand and growled a little, it looked like it was confused as it looked around seeing the crowd of huntsman and huntresses with some of them in-training looking at it in fear as they readied their weapons.
"I don't know Jaune, but it looks like some human/grimm hybrid." said Pyrrha as she got ready to fight.
The creature was still growling as it starred at its hands in shock, then it tried to pry its helmet off but to no avail.
After a bit of struggling the creature bent down holding its head with both hands, that was when it let out a blood curdling screech in the air.
The screech was so loud windows shattered and the huntsman and huntresses covered their ears.
For those that looked they could see the creature's mouth open with steam coming out.
The creature looked around looking for something.
The huntsman and huntresses didn't dare attack, seeing as the creature had intelligence. Everything was still until the creature was attacked by Cardin leader of team CRDL.
Cardin's mace hit the creature from behind making the creature real in pain but there was no serious damage delt.
This angered the creature, and it swung its arm back, smacking Cardin through a building.
This had the chain reaction of having every huntsman and huntress attack the creature.
First the rest of team CRDL went to attack, the creature being more aware of the threat around it dodged the attacks of the team and easily knocked the three out.
Then teams RWBY and JNPR rushed the monster with Pyrrha, Nora, and Yang taking the vanguard, Blake, Weiss, and Ren took the middle ground and Jaune and Ruby took rear.
Pyrrha tried to cut the monster to no avail, so she did her best to distract the monster where she could as Yang would punch the monster and Nora hit it with her hammer, but nothing seemed to work until it started to be hit by dust rounds.
The creature howled in pain as Jaune yelled "It's weak to dust Pyrrha fall back switch with Weiss!"
"Roger that!" Pyrrha yelled back but it seemed that the creature could understand them because as soon as Pyrrha went to jump back and switch places with Wiess the monster charged and grabbed Pyrrha before she made it to safety.
"Pyrrha!" RWBY and JNR yelled in worry as the creature wrapped its arm around the champions neck threatening to cut her neck open with its clawed hand.
The creature growled at them as Ruby cried out "Let her go you monster!" this got a reaction out of the monster as its eyes narrowed that was when the creature and Pyrrha was picked up by a purplish force.
The huntsman and huntresses in-training looked and saw Glynda Goodwitch with her riding crop out trying to separate Pyrrha from the monster, but the monster had an iron grip even when Glynda tried to telepathically pry its fingers off of Pyrrha.
Then the creature dug its clawed fingers from its free hand into Pyrrha's shoulder causing her to scream in pain.
This made Glynda's eyes widen as she lost focus and dropped the two.
Teams RWBY and JNR was about to rush the creature when Glynda yelled "Stop!"
This caused them to stop as the creature was standing Pyrrha was still in its grasp passed out, that was when the creature jumped from building to building moving faster than most towards the border of Vale at a fast pace.
"Come on he's heading towards the boarder!" Ruby yelled as she sped off towards the monster to save her friend.
"Ruby wait!" Yang yelled only for Ruby to be long gone.
Before the rest of team RWBY and JNPR could run off Glynda stopped them saying "Do you even know where they are going?"
This made Yang get mad and yell "We can't just leave with that monster!"
"I agree, that's why I have contacted Ozpin, and he is sending a bullhead to pick us up and will be helping us with getting the students back."
Halfway to the border of Vale
The monster was walking with the champion over its shoulder when a red blur flew past it.
"Let go of are friend!" Ruby shouted and the creature tilted its head and looked at her confusingly.
"Wha-" Ruby only started to say only to stop as the creature pointed behind her.
She was hesitant but looked and saw nothing and looked back only to see the monster, it took her a couple of seconds to realize that she had rushed off leaving everyone behind.
"Umm, Uh oh." Ruby said meekly as the monster looked at her with pity.
That was when the creature threw Pyrrha at the distracted rose knocking her flat onto the ground.
When Ruby sat up, she saw that the monster was gone she looked behind her and saw the creature around two yards away heading towards the gates of Vale.
"Hey, get back here!" Ruby yelled at the monster as it left her in the dust.
That was when a bullhead could be heard flying over her only for it to stop a few feet away and lowering itself down for Yang, Blake, Weiss, Jaune, Nora, Ren, Glynda, and Ozpin to get off.
"Ruby!" WBY yelled and this made JNR yell "Pyrrha!" as they ran over towards the two of them.
"Guys help Pyrrha is still unconscious and isn't healing!" Ruby exclaimed as she looked at Pyrrha noticing the claw mark on her neck.
As everyone gathered around to check on Pyrrha Ozpin observed the area and noticed the clawed footprints heading towards the gate of Vale.
"Glynda leave miss Nikos to the students the creature is heading towards the gates of Vale!" Ozpin shouted in a panic as he ran back into the bullhead quickly followed by Glynda.
"Wait, what abou-" Yang started to say but was interrupted by the bullhead taking off.
Vale's Gate
When Ozpin and Glynda got to the Gates of Vale, they saw the creature fighting the huntsman and huntresses on guard at the gate and the creature was winning.
From what Ozpin could see, the creature was using some sort of martial art to fight off the huntsmen which made him question how intelligent the creature was.
Then the creature ran towards the gate and did a roundhouse kick to it leaving a footprint on the metal gate surprising everyone there.
This gave Ozpin in idea "Glynda open the gate."
"Are you insane!" Glynda yelled as she glanced at Ozpin.
"That creature wants out of here and it trying to break the gate down to do so, so I rather open it and prevent its destruction." Ozpin said sternly.
This got a nod out of Glynda as she used her semblance to open the gate and Ozpin ordered the huntsman to stand down as they all watched as the creature looked surprised at the gate opening but didn't waste a second to run past the gate and into the wilderness.
With the Creature
The creature was running as fast as it could through a forest with his thoughts traveling a thousand miles a minute until he tripped over a puddle.
The creature looked at the puddle and saw its reflection causing the creature to grab his head and let out a screech.
"What is happening to me, where am I, where is Zangetsu." the creature thought while panicking only for a voice to interrupt his thoughts.
"Geez King calm down will ya, I'm trying to sleep." A demonic voice in the creature's head mumbled out.
"Wait if my hollow is still with me does that mean-" The creature started thinking only to be interrupted by an old man with shades.
"Yes, Ichigo I am here." The old man said.
"Zangetsu what, what has happened to me and why is your blade gone?" The now named Ichigo asked his zanpakuto.
"Ichigo, I'm sorry but when your hollow healed you after your fight with Ulquiorra, Ulquiorra opened a garganta and through you in it before he died. The void tore your body apart and in a desperate attempt to save you your hollow turned you into a Vasto Lorde again, but the damage was already done." Zangetsu said solemnly.
"What's that supposed to mean!" Ichigo shouted.
"It means that under all the bone like armor you have is nothing but a mangled body." The teens hollow said annoyed traying to sleep again.
Ichigo was shocked but remembered something and asked, "Couldn't my hollow powers heal me?"
"No, you see Ichigo the void didn't just tear your body up since you were in your soul form, we had to use all of our reserves to hold you to gather and protect what was left of you. It doesn't help that this place is very low on reishi, making it impossible to heal you." Zangetsu said seriously.
"I-I see." Ichigo said losing hope.
"Ichigo before I sleep, I would like to tell you that there is a few more things to be warry of first your Hierro will need to be manually activated because neither your hollow our I will be awake to do it for you, second I'm sure you noticed the humans use some weird ammunition that can penetrate your Hierro be careful not to get hit be these bullets, third you will have to rely on you regular speed so you don't waste what remains of your energy, and lastly my blade is in the city we were just in if you are to retrieve me you will need help it might be hard but I'm sure you can figure it out." After Zangetsu said this, he yawned and went to sleep.
Ichigo kept his head down with his long hair covering the sides of his mask and balled up his hands before letting out a breath of steam from his mouth he got up and started walking away from the city he just escaped from with one thought on his mind "I'll get Zangetsu back no matter what."
