The Original Order reads Harry Potter Book 1.
This story is quite different from what I usually write since I never written one before, so I wanted to give it a try and see how it would turn out.
This is a Harry Potter reaction story where the Original Order of Phoenix, plus the Tonks family and Narcissa Malfoy, read the Harry Potter books. There will be many truths revealed, many emotions – namely anger, surprise, shock, horror, sadness and distrust – and many facts. The story will take place in 1979, two years before the end of the First Wizarding War.
I'm going to copy the storyline and words from the Harry Potter books but I'm going to be changing sentences and words throughout the story. For example, I'm going to change Hagrid's words from 'Fer the las' time, it's nuthin!' to 'For the last time, it's nothing!' The same thing will happen to Fleur's and Krum's words, including Madam Maxime's. I'm also going to have the Order state their opinion after a sentence is done.
I hope you guys enjoy the first ever Harry Potter reaction story. Once I'm done with this, I'll start writing the next book.
Enjoy the chapter.

Chapter One: Prologue.
Civil war was ravaging in the Magical World of Britain. A war that was between the Light side and the Dark side. A war that was filled with bloodshed, fear and death.
The war was created by a man named Lord Voldemort, Leader of the Dark and the most ruthless Dark Lord in all history, second to the previous Dark Lord, Gellert Grindelwald. He and his followers – the Death Eaters – strike down all people who opposed his idea about Purebloods being above Half-bloods and Muggle-borns. He and his followers also strike down and torture Muggles for fun and sadistic pleasure, just to show the world who dares defy him.
More people joined the Dark Lord to make the world a better place for the Purebloods, but they only joined the Dark Lord because of his power, like Bellatrix Lestrange. She joined the Dark Lord because she values power above all, not the Pureblood supremacy clause she didn't care about, and because of her brilliant dueling skills, along with her battle tactics, she'd earned the title of being Voldemort's Second-in-Command.
The war had gotten to the point where every magical person had gone into hiding under Fidelius Charms, in fear of being killed by the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters.
But not anyone went into hiding under Fidelius Charms.
There were brave people in Magical Britain fighting against the Dark Lord and his followers, namely the Light fraction, but due to the fact the British Ministry of Magic is greatly corrupted by the Dark fraction, only a small handful of people were fighting them, which was being led by two people the magical people looked up as guidance and hope.
The first brave person fighting against the Dark Lord and leading the Aurors in the Ministry was a man named Bartemius Crouch, Head of the Magical Law Enforcement. He was a very determined and stiff man of fighting against anyone who uses Dark magic and bringing peace to the Magical World, even if he had to kill the Death Eaters instead of bringing them in for questioning. This was a man people should never mess with.
The second brave person was the one everyone was relying on. Not only this person can go toe to toe with Voldemort in a duel, but he is the only one – perhaps in the whole world – the Dark Lord ever feared. This person's name was Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Defeater of Gellert Grindelwald, Leader of the Light, Chief Warlock, Order of Merlin, Grand Sorcerer of Light magic and Supreme Mugwump.
Dumbledore was known to be a second coming of Merlin and a grandfather figure to everyone in Magical Britain because of his infinite knowledge, his impressive magical power, his cheery expression, his dueling skills and his infinite wisdom of words. Whenever a person has a problem, they would go to Dumbledore for guidance, and he would explain how to solve it but in a riddle way, much to the people's confusion and slight annoyance.
There are differences between Voldemort and Dumbledore and those differences makes them leaders. While one person believes the survival of the fittest, meaning that the weak should obey the strong or be perished, and magic should belong to all Purebloods instead of Muggle-Borns and Half-bloods, the other person believes that the power of love, along with other positive emotions, can make a person powerful enough to fight against a black-hearted person, and people working together as a group can create bonds that will never break.
That is what makes Voldemort and Dumbledore different than each other. Voldemort believes in the survival of the fittest, while Dumbledore believes the power of love and bonds. It is those differences that caused them, a former student and teacher, to fight each other.
Like Bartemius Crouch leading the Aurors, Dumbledore leads a large group of people to fight against the Dark Lord, but these said people are not registered in the Auror Crops, despite some of them are who had just graduated Hogwarts. No, these people belong to a secret, yet illegal, group Dumbledore created when the war began. This group is called the Order of the Phoenix.
The Order of the Phoenix consisted of twenty-four members who are powerful, skilled and intelligent, and those members names were Albus Dumbledore, the founder of the group, James and Lily Potter, Alice and Frank Longbottom, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Minerva McGonagall, Edgar Bones, Arabella Figg (A Squib), Aberforth Dumbledore (Dumbledore's younger brother), Alastor Moody, Dedalus Diggle, Elphias Doge, Emmeline Vance, Fabian and Gideon Prewett, Marlene Mckinnon (Sirius's fiancée), Mundungus Fletcher, Rubeus Hagrid, Dorcas Meadowes, Sturgis Podmore, Filius Flitwick and Peter Pettigrew.
Every once a week, the Order of the Phoenix would head towards their headquarters, gather around in a long table and report what they learned and found to Dumbledore, who would sit at the head of the table, looking serious and grave as he absorbed what he learned from his comrades. Whenever the meeting the Order is finished, the people would leave to do their missions Dumbledore instructed or go back to the Ministry to cleanse the corruption. Some members of the Order can't join the meeting since they either have stores to run (Aberforth Dumbledore) or keep an eye out in the Muggle World (Arabella Figg).
In fact, the Order of the Phoenix were having a meeting right now, but instead of reporting what they found and learned, there was a heated argument between Lily Potter and Albus Dumbledore.
"Dumbledore, we need to start fighting against the Death Eaters with lethal spells, not just Stunners." Lily Potter, a tall, beautiful, young woman with long, flaming red hair, pale skin and piercing dark green eyes, said fiercely, as she glared at Dumbledore. "We are at war, not a schoolyard."
"My dear, you know we cannot use lethal spells." Dumbledore said calmly to the red-hair woman. He was a tall, very old, thin man with long, silver hair, pale skin, a crooked nose and brilliant, twinkling blue eyes that were behind a pair of half-moon spectacles. He also had a beard that was long as his hair. "The idea of using lethal spells on Voldemort's followers," Everyone in the room, except Lily, flinched slightly from hearing Voldemort. "Will make us no better than them. We will be committing to a path we fear to take." Everyone in the room agreed with Dumbledore's logic, except Lily and, much to everyone's surprised, Moody. If they started using lethal spells, then they would become murderers.
"People are dying, Dumbledore!" Lily exploded, her famous temper from school coming to life. "We are just sitting here, talking about what's happening in the world and not doing a damn thing! We're not even fighting the Death eaters! It's only a matter of time before Voldemort takes over Britain and we'll be killed!"
"We will stop him, Li-flower." James Potter, a tall, young man with messy, unruly jet-black hair, fair skin and hazel eyes that were covered by glasses, spoke up. "We just need to step up our game and focus on taking down the ruthless Death Eaters."
"Yeah, what he said." Sirius Black, a tall, well-built, handsome young man with shoulder-length, lustrous black hair, fair skin and grey eyes, agreed with his brother all but blood.
"Aye." Frank Longbottom, a tall, burly-built, handsome young man with short, blonde hair that was spiky in the front, fair skin and blue eyes, also agreed.
"Lily, I understand you want to take out the Death Eaters because what they done to people. I want to take them out too, but do you really have it in you to become like them, a murderer?" Marlene Mckinnon, a tall, beautiful, young woman with long, wavy brown hair, tan skin and brown eyes, asked quietly, getting Lily's attention. "Everyone in this room who knew you during Hogwarts can tell you hate Death Eaters, but do you really wish for them to be dead? That isn't like you at all, Lily."
Lily didn't respond to her friend's question at once and proceeded to think about it, which caused the room to become silent. As she thought about it, Marlene's question if she had it in her to kill someone was right. She would never kill someone, even if she hated them. It wasn't like her at all, to wish someone dead for the crimes they committed. Marlene was right, Lily wouldn't sink so low to become like a Death Eater.
"No…I wouldn't wish for the Death Eaters to be dead, Marlene, despite me hating them." Lily finally said, as she looked at the table with an unreadable look in her dark green eyes. Her voice was quiet, yet still loud for everyone to hear. "But I just want this war to end so that me and James can think about…"
"The future." Alice Longbottom, an average height, round-face woman with short, black hair, fair skin and kind blue eyes, said softly. "We all want to think about the future, Lily, but we can't because of the war. We need to stop You-Know-Who." Since the war gotten to the point every magical person had to hide, everyone was calling Voldemort either You-Know-Who or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
"But how can we stop him?" Remus Lupin asked the question everyone in the Order wants to know. He was a tall man with pale skin, brown eyes and light brown hair. He had a few lines going across his face, due to the stress of being a Werewolf. "He's getting much stronger than any wizard as the days pass by, knowing all our plans to stop his followers and attacking more Muggles. Not to mention, he's gathering more Magical Creatures as an army, such as Werewolves, Giants and Dementors."
"There must be something to tip the balance in our favor." Fabian Prewett, a tall man with bright orange hair, a small beard, fair skin with freckles on his face and brown eyes, spoke up, getting everyone's attention. "Something that give us the advantage to win the war. We are never going to win the war if we just rely on Stunners."
"I agree with you, brother." Gideon Prewett, a tall man with bright orange hair, a mustache, fair skin with freckles on his face and brown eyes, agreed with his brother. "We need to fight back with equal force like the Death Eaters, even if it goes against Dumbledore's wishes to not kill them. No offence to you, Dumbledore, but I want my family to live."
"And I can assure you, young Gideon, that you and your family will live." Dumbledore promised the orange-hair man with serenity in his voice.
"But back at the main topic, how do we stop him?" Minerva McGonagall, a tall, elder, stern-looking witch with black hair, pale skin and green eyes, asked with a bit of stiff in her voice. This was a woman that no one should ever cross at all.
"Would it be better if we learn about You-Know-Who?" Emmeline Vance, a young woman with short, brown hair, pale skin and light lilac eyes, asked curiously. "If we learn much about him, we can figure out how to defeat him." Her idea of learning about Voldemort was met with complete bafflement from everyone in the room, except Dumbledore, who looked thoughtful at the idea.
"Emmy, that's completely impossible." Sirius stated, ignoring the glare he was receiving from Emmeline. "We already know much about You-Know-Who, he's a murdering, insane psychopath."
"But I read a quote one time when I was at Hogwarts, and it was quite useful. It goes by this: 'In order to defeat your enemy and bring peace to the world, one must learn his enemy's secrets.' That's what gave me the idea to say this."
"That is a splendid idea, my dear." Dumbledore said cheerfully, his blue eyes twinkling. "But there is a flaw with that, how do we learn about Voldemort's secrets?"
"Well, it's not like a pair of books will appear on the table and tell us about him." Lily sarcastically said, crossing her arms across her chest and leaning back a bit in her seat. She was annoyed, yet still baffled, with Emmeline's plan about learning Voldemort's secrets. How can the Order learn his secrets if they don't even know him? It's what Lily said before, books don't appear out of thin air.
As soon as Lily said that, a bright flash of light suddenly appeared in the room, directly on the table where the Order was sitting, causing everyone to cry out in alarm and draw their wands. They didn't dare cast a spell because they didn't want to hit someone, but that didn't mean they're going to lower them. After a few moments, the bright flash of light disappeared, making everyone let out a sigh of relief before looking over to see what was on the table, only to widen their eyes from what they saw.
What the Order was looking at was a series of colorful books that showed a picture of a young boy who looked exactly like James but having bright green eyes like Lily. There was also a note on the books, probably explaining what these books are and how important they are to read. Now, everyone would ask questions about why this boy looks like James and have Lily's green eyes, but they gotten their answer when they looked at the title of the books, each one having the same name. Harry Potter.
There was a long period of silence in the room, no one found the right words to speak. Actually, no one even had the chance to speak, all because they were still staring at the books that were laying on the table with shock expressions on their faces. Eventually, it was James who broke the long period of silence.
"You were saying, Li-flower?" James asked in an amused, yet shock, tone. "About a pair of books not appearing on the table and telling us You-Know-Who's secrets?"
Lily didn't have the heart to send a snappy retort back at her husband because she was shocked from seeing a set of books appearing from thin air. Her eyes were comically wide, and she looked like a gaping fish. However, she did manage to get her mind straighten out to say two and two words only.
"Shut up."
Alright, that is the end of the prologue chapter for the Original Order reads Harry Potter Book 1. Next chapter will be the very first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Let's see how everyone will react when they find out that Voldemort is defeated.
