Across town; in a secluded old divy bar sits Jack Ramsey; a weaker, more crazed version of himself. Gray etches around a full beard as he sits surrounded by empty shot glasses; and a cigarette hanging from his lips. "How many times am I going to get this call?" A voice called from behind him as he turned to see his older brother standing at the entrace, a tired expression on his face.
"I didn't ask for anyone to call you." Jack murmured while taking another shot; some spilling from his beard. "What do you expect, little brother? I mean, how many times do I have to get a call from Jackie for me to come and pick your drunken, sorry ass up after one two many dives down a bottle of whiskey?" Chris asked sitting down in the stool next to him. "God, you wreak! How long has it been since you bathed?"
Jack shrugged his shoulders while pouring another shot of whiskey from a nearly empty bottle. "Alright, that's enough. Let's go." Chris yanked the bottle from him, helping him up off the stool before Jack shoved him away, punching him in the face. "I don't fucking need you!" Jack screamed as Chris face turned back to face Jack before he lunged at him. "Here we go." He said tackling Jack to the ground as other customers hurried out of the way.
Back at Kevin's house; Lucas again points to Jack in the photo. "Mom, is this my father?" Livvie stared blankly from the photo, back at Lucas. "Lie to him, Lie to him!" Her evil side screamed at her. Livvie had never lied to her son; she'd never had to cross that line as a mother.
"That's just an old friend." She said taking the photo from Lucas. "I know, but you didn't answer my question." She closed her eyes, she knew what she'd have to do. She couldn't let Lucas know that Jack was his father. "No..." She felt the urge to vomit. "No, he's not your father." Livvie breathed out as an expression of sadness came over Lucas' face.
As the fight back at Jackie's continues; Chris punching Jack, only for Jack to punch him back; the two of them crumbling onto the ground with Chris ontop of him. "Jack, enough!" Chris screamed, both of his hands grasping Jack's shirt.
"I can't fucking do this any more with you! I am too old; and more importantly, you're too fucking old to keep doing this shit! I love you, man! You are my brother but I can't help you, if you won't meet me half way!" Chris screamed at him, tears filling his eyes as Jack tossed his head back before raising his hands in defeat.
"Let's get you out of here! & don't you fucking sucker punch me again!" Chris groaned standing up before helping Jack up as they both stumbled out of the bar; the fight appearing evident on both of their bruised and bloodied faces.
"Lucas. I know that this is hard, I didn't know much about my dad till I was older." Livvie offered up a piece of vulnerability as Lucas shook his head. "It's not the same and you know it; I'm not upset about this person not being my dad; I am upset about the fact that he is; and you lied to me about it." Livvie's mouth fell open; she knew that she looked guilty as shit but what else could she say; or do, she'd been caught and old Livvie would have had a whole ass plan worked out for it, just in case.
"Why'd you lie to me? Why?" Livvie swallowed hard. "I didn't.." She lied again, man; she was really making a habit of lying to her kid, something she'd never even thought to do till stepping back into Port Charles, it was like all her bad habits were being pulled back into her, like the poison from a deadly snake, an insult she'd been compare many times over the years. "Yes, you are! Why do you keep lying to me." Lucas cried out, tears filling his eyes.
"Lucas, it's.." A knock sounded on the door as Livvie gave her son one last apologetic glance, he wouldn't even look at her, shame apparent on his face which was something that she swore she'd never put her kid through. Livvie slowly stood up, making her way to the door, another knock sounding, more demanding as she ripped the door open to see Jack Ramsey standing on her doorstep. "Oh my god." erupted from both of their lips as Chris peered up from behind Jack to see the woman he'd swore that he'd never have to see again. "Why couldn't I just ignore the fucking phone call?"
