The cabin wasn't much to brag about which normally wouldn't have phased her even as a Russian princess who was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth but she'd never expect Jason Quartermaine to ever be found in such a dully beige place. "You said that you knew him? Me?" Sam shook her judgemental thoughts away, gazing at Jason who sat nervously in front of her. She was at a loss of words; she'd never seen him like this; it was like every bit that made him Jason was gone. "We had the same friends but we never really hung out; you were always too cool for the likes of me." She joked as he frowned. "I'm sorry." Sam raised her brow; he really was different. "Jason, It's fine. We ran in the same crowd; we just never really got to know one another but everyone said you were always the best guy to have around in a crisis."

"Why did you come looking for me?" That was the million dollar question; Sam couldn't help but question who she was working for; if all of Port Charles was somehow behind the danger that Jason was in. "I don't know." She simply said shaking her head. "I know that you're mother; Dr. Monica Quartermaine, she came by the agency where I work as a private investigator and my boss; Mac Scorpio; he sent me to look for you." Sam purposefully mentioned each name, hoping to see some spark go off but unfortunately, his expression remained blank, void of any real emotion. "Jason, do you remember anything?" She asked him, desperation in her voice. He got real quiet before he cleared his throat. "squealing tires; shattering glass, and some guy drinking and driving and then everything before that is blank." Sam nodded; her mind swirling with possibilities. She wished Richard hadn't smashed her phone but seeing how severe the situation was; she understood why he did it.

"Jason, think really hard. This guy; was he young?" He nodded as she shook her head with a smile of encouragement. "Do you recall the name AJ?" She said as he went white; his face frozen. "AJ, what have you done! What the fuck have you done?" Jason yelled as Richard & Rodriguez rushing into the room. "What the hell did you do to.." She snapped as Sam quickly hushed her. "What did AJ do?" Sam calmly asked as Jason, still frozen in the memory playing through his mind. "You murdered your brother! You killed my son!" Jason yelled even louder, tears streaming down his cheek. "Dad, please; I am so sorry. Daddy, please; can you get me out of this." Jason finished; dropping his body down to his knees, swiftly wiping the tears from his face. Sam reached out; stroking his shoulder before standing up, motioning for Rodriguez and Richard to follow. "It was a cover up. Jason's brother AJ was in a pretty terrible car wreck almost to the exact day when Jason went missing; AJ conveniently got away unscathed but he literally wrapped his car around a tree."

They listened intensely as Sam gazed over at Jason before continuing. "The way it was explained to me; though, I wasn't exactly a participant to the family dynamics of the Quartermaines but Jason was always Monica's favorite while Alan always felt the need to rescue his son; both being severe alcoholics. I think Alan covered up the fact that Jason was ever there to protect AJ who was already on thin ice with authorities, nearly killing someone while under the influence would have almost guaranteed him a prison sentence." Sam concluded; all the pieces were slowly starting to fall into place for her but one small detail; who was trying to have him killed. "Do you know AJ?" Richard questioned as she shrugged her shoulders. "I don't think anyone really knew Aj; not really. He was a few years older than all of us; Jason, Me, Robin, Jagger and Brenda. Robin was probably the closest with him but she moved to Paris a few years ago."

Robin was Jason's first true love; and the one who would probably be the most successful at reaching him. "Richard, I know that you don't wanna bring anyone else in but Robin Scorpio would have a much more likely chance at Jason remembering; thery were together for almost two years and were planning on spending the rest of their lives together until he went missing." Richard fiercely shook his head with Rodriguez clearly agreeing with him. "I understand that you think it'd help him and I actually agree that it probably would but at this point; we cannot afford any more outsiders! We can't even afford you but you just had to stone blaze your way into the investigation." Richard glowered at her. A door slamming shut put them all on alert as Jason quickly stood up, Sam rushing over and pulling him away while Richard and Rodriguez checked the window.

"shit." Richard spoke as Rodriguez unholstered her gun. "You guys need to go! We have two men walking towards the cabin; their guns already out! There's a hidden car in the back; take the back road out!" Richard tossed Sam a set of keys as Rodriguez scribbled down an address handing it to her. "This is an associate of ours who can get you forged passports, you need to get him as far away as possible! Here's a burner phone! We'll keep in contact!" Rodriguez handing everything to Sam before she and Jason rushed out the back door, already hearing a struggle as they tore the tarp off the black Cadillac. "Jason, get in!" Sam insisted as she hopped into the driver seat. "Jason, get in the car!" She ordered but he focused on the cabin for a moment before slowly getting into the car. Sam revved the engine; driving through an old, wooden fence; nearly cutting a car off as she sped through the back-roads. "Where are we going?" Jason asked as Sam stared nervously in the rear-view mirror. "We're going to meet with their associates and we are getting you out of the country completely!" Sam hovered between focusing on the road and the rear-view mirror, half expecting a car to be closing in on them but the coast remained clear.

"Do you think their okay?" He asked as she glanced over at him. "Jason, you can't focus on that right now." She sounded cold and heartless but that was how she survived and how she was going to protect him. "I know, they just...They did a lot for me and I just left them like that." Sam, occasionally staring in the rear-view mirror. "Jason, stop. This won't do you any good! The only thing that we can do that won't make their sacrifice in vain is get you to safety." He nodded but she knew that he was clearly torn up. They were quiet for most of the ride towards the pinpoint; she occasionally looking over at him as he fingered with a hole in his shirt. "We need to get you some more clothes." Sam, finally feeling a little at ease as she shooed his hand away from the hole. "I like my clothes..." He dryly said as she nodded. "Fine! be tattered!" She poked at him, a small smile forming on his face. "Jason, it's going to be okay. I need you to believe that, okay?" He stared at her for a moment before turning away. "I've heard that too many times over the past 7 years, Sam and I quit believing it a long time ago."

Sam pulled into an old, creaky farmhouse. "this is it?" she asked, glancing down at the address and back up at the house as an old woman came walking out, a yellow package in her hands. "Stay here." Sam said as she stepped out of the car, still leaving it running while approaching the woman. "Samantha Cassadine?" The old woman questioned as she nodded before the woman handed her the folder. "You are now Victoria Caldwell; and he is your husband, Steven Caldwell! You have your passports, birth certificates and identification cards, now, I am gonna ask that you get off my property. I don't need to get anymore involved in this than I already am." She slowly turned back; walking towards her house as Sam turned back towards the car, getting in and handing Jason the package. "Jason, you ever been to Russia?" He shrugged his shoulders as she nodded. "right.." She nodded. " My family owns a castle there; it's been empty for decades and it is literally the last place anyone would look for us." She said backing out of the long driveway before heading North.
