Mark left the wall, coming over to place his hands firmly, but not roughly, on April's shoulders.

"Our assignments may get rough, but it won't be because I add to them. Still if you can't trust me, I can't trust you. Look in my eyes - what will it be?"

April looked deep into the blue eyes - she didn't feel threatened. She didn't feel intimidated. What she saw was sincerity.

The smile that formed on his face was warm.
