"Look! Everyone! Were here! Canalave city!" Alex said as he saw Canalave city ahead of them.
"Yep. Canalave city is here." Diantha happily said as she looked out the window.
"Alright! It's been a while." Alex said happily as soon as they landed. Kathi Lee was speaking to Diantha.
"Now remember, you do have a few hours here. Were expecting to pick you all up at around nine thirty in the dark. However, If none of you make it back in time. Im sorry, I won't hesitate to leave you behind." Kathi Lee reminded her about the warning if they were leaving due to restrictions.
"Okay. I hope we don't get left behind." Alicia said as a promise. Her Shiny Gardevoir was out alongside Alex's Gallade.
"Now be careful out there. I get it's a festival and all but there might be some fans wanting to meet up with you." Kathi Lee said looking at Diantha, wondering about her fans.
"I'll be alright." Diantha said as a promise.
"Have fun Diantha! And stay safe you two!" Kathi Lee said as the helicopter flew away as they looked beyond the festival.
"Thanks Kathi!" Alex and Alicia said as Kathi Lee left, Diantha looked at the lovers.
"Let's get going. Shall we?" Diantha said, they were eager to start joining the festival.
"Yeah. Let's have fun. Shall we?" Alex said as he held Alicia's arm lightly.
"Oh~!" Alicia blushed as they walked together holding hands.
"Alright lovebirds, have fun. I'll go find Cynthia." Diantha said as she began to look for her best friend.
Canalave City Port
"..." As a Big ship has sailed into port, people began getting off the ship to enjoy the Sinnoh Hisuian Festival. Two boys managed to be on board as one of them would know that Alex's journey would soon cross paths once again. His name? Ash Ketchum, A very close friend to Alex who treats him like a brother while the other one. A boy named Goh, ready to join on Ash's journey.
"Wow does this place seem big." Goh said as he and Ash were walking around the stands.
"Yeah, I know right?" Ash said with his partner on his shoulder looking around.
"Groo, Key key!" Grookey said, Goh's partner was Grookey. One of the three starters he had from the Galar Region.
"I heard this city is a re-creation of how the city looked long ago. It's like were in a movie!" Goh said as he was amazed on what he saw.
"This place looks totally awesome!" Ash said as a voice then called out to them.
"Ash! Goh!" Dawn said as Ash recognized her voice, it was her friend from Sinnoh. Dawn Hikari.
"Wow, It's dawn!" Ash happily said as he and Goh caught up with Dawn.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu happily jumped down and high fived Piplup as they were happy to be reunited.
"Great to see you here!" Goh happily said as they met once more.
"Aw, you should've told me you were coming! You surprised me!" Dawn said as she was happy. But instead of her usual clothing, she was in some different clothes.
"Well, You surprised the two of us! Right?" Ash said as he then looked at Goh.
"Yeah!" Goh said with a slight admittance. Alicia saw Ash's face and tugged his shirt.
"Hey! Alex, Look!" Alicia said as she pointed too see Ash, they didn't see him.
"What? WHAT!?" Alex said as he was stunned too see his friend.
"So how have you been?" Ash said, wanting to start a conversation.
"Pretty good. How about-" Dawn started before her conversation was suddenly interrupted by Alex.
"Yohooo!" Alex called as Alex smiled with Dawn and Ash showing shocked faces.
"No way! Can it be!?" Dawn shockingly said being amazed to see a friend.
"Hi Ash! Hi Dawn! It's nice too see you again!" Alex said as he waved his hand.
"Alex!" Dawn and Ash both said as Alex rushed over with his partner Gallade. Goh gasped to see Alex.
"Hi Dawn, Hi Ash!" Alex said as he shook hands with his best friends.
"How have you been? You haven't told me you were coming!" Ash said, being amazed that alex has arrived to the festival.
"Well. I got an invitation letter to partake in this event, we have a couple hours before we head home." Alex said with a reminder as he showed Cynthia's letter that he got.
"We will make the most of it together!" Alicia happily said as they wanted to do a lot.
"Oh yeah, Alex, Alicia. This is my friend. His name-" Ash said as he began to introduce his friend.
"My name is Goh! Nice to meet you!" Goh finished ash's sentence with himself introducing to Ash's old friends.
"Pleasure to meet you Goh. You sound very kind." Alex said as Goh showed a smile on his face.
"Pleased to meet you, honors all mine." Alicia said as she shook hands with Goh who smiled.
"Did you two come along by yourselves?" Ash said in curiosity.
"Well, not ourselves actually." Alex said as he smiled. At that point, Diantha walked into view.
"Why hello, Ash." Diantha said as she arrived, Ash gasped to find the Kalos Champion arrived.
"Ah! Diantha!" Ash said as he and pikachu gasped.
"Hey, Do you know her Ash?" Goh said as he and Dawn looked at Ash. Seemingly surprised that Ash knows the Kalos region champion.
"Yeah, she's the champion of the kalos region. And another special on top." Ash said as he pointed at Alex.
"She's my mother." Alex said as he slightly bowed, Goh and Dawn gasped. A loss for words.
"M-Mother!? You're the Champions Son?!" Goh said in shock and stuttered. Alex covered his mouth.
"Shush. I don't want fans here attracting Diantha for her presence being known!" Alex said as he didn't want to freak out over fans.
"Uh Dawn? What are those clothes?" Goh said as he changed the topic.
"Hahah. Pretty cool, huh? I just borrowed them." Dawn said as she had different clothes and posed.
"Whoah, Neat!" Alicia happily said as she had stars in her eyes.
"Awesome Stuff!" Ash said being amazed on what Dawn was wearing.
"Yup. It's a beauty alright!" Piplup said as he replicated Dawn's movement.
"Awesomeness!" Grookey said as Gallade was amazed on what he was witnessing. A time for being old.
"Wow man!" Pikachu said being amazed.
"Hello, Lil' bro." Gallade said happily as Pikachu and Piplup were happy to see their friend.
"Gallade! We missed you man!" Piplup said happily, he seemed like he wanted to cry.
"Why don't you all borrow some clothes? I'm sure you'll look great!" Dawn said as she made an offer.
"Good idea!" Ash agreed with the offer.
"Then we should have our picture taken!" Goh said with a finishing offer.
"I heard there was a battlefield where last years champion will compete. I'm really wondering if he can show us a Hisuian Pokemon." Alex spoke as he did hear about the battlefield with the pokemon of hisui.
"Sure! Follow me!" Dawn said as she hurried off somewhere.
"Right!" Goh called out as they began to follow her. Diantha slightly smiled.
"Those lot. But what chance am I going to miss out on all of this?" Diantha sighed as her hand was on her hip but she smiled then followed.
"..." Dawn quickly hurried until they found a strange tent as a location.
"Guys, over here!" Dawn said as they found themselves at a tent.
"That's a strange looking tent if i ever seen one." Alicia said, wondering what's up with the tent.
"Come on!" Piplup called out.
"Oh boy!" Pikachu said as the others caught up.
"What's in here? The clothes?" Alicia said, confused about if it was a changing room or not.
"Yup! All in here! For boys and girls too!" Dawn said as it for both sizes.
"All sizes might be for my fit." Alicia proudly said as she was a fashion model. Wonders of what might be inside.
"I wonder. Oh I am excited!" Alicia's Gardevoir eerily said being excited too see what is inside.
"You can borrow whatever you like!" Dawn said as she opened the curtain, it was Cynthia inside, being a different style.
"Hello?" Cynthia said being surprised. Alex and Alicia gasped on that voice they heard.
"Ah! No way!" Alex and Alicia gasped then realizing who it was.
"Hey, It's Ash and Goh. And Alex and Alicia! Nice to see you!" Cynthia said as she greeted the entire group.
"Aha!" Ash said as Diantha caught up to the group.
"Cynthia!" Goh said as Diantha then spoke up.
"We meet again. Dear friend." Diantha said happily to her friend, they met once again. Cynthia smiled.
"Yep. I'm happy you decided to come with your son. I promise I won't make it a waste!" Cynthia happily said, making her promise.
"See, Cynthia has been really helpful throughout the entire Sinnoh Hisuian Festival." Dawn explained to the Sinnoh Champion.
"Are you here on a investigation?" Cynthia asked on Ash and Goh's behalf of their work.
"Yeah!" Ash and Goh replied together.
"This historical exhibit should be quite helpful! Have a good look around you two!" Cynthia offered as she decided to let them in.
"Thanks!" Ash and Goh said, being happy she accepted their offer.
"..." Ash and Goh managed to look around as their buddies started to notice the ancient works of the hisui region, how they manage to keep everything. Dawn looked at Cynthia to ask a question.
"Hey Cynthia? So these lot actually want to borrow your clothes!" Dawn said, asking Cynthia the question.
"Perfect!" Cynthia happily said as Diantha smiled.
A Little Bit Later
"..." Ash, Goh, Alex and Alicia wore the same hisui outfit that dawn wore earlier, them being amazed on their outfit they felt.
"Haha, What do you think buddy?" Ash said, asking his partner.
"Awesome!" Pikachu said in delight.
"This is so great!" Goh said as he was enjoying the experience.
"Wow, They are not tight, nor loose, and very comfortable! I love it!" Alicia said as she twirled in a circle in joy.
"Aw! So amazing! It sticks well to you!" Alicia's Gardevoir exclaimed as Alex looked at Gallade.
"What do you think Gallade? Fancy suit from someone who lived anciently. Right?" Alex said as he looked at his partner.
"Totally. Always fits a spirit that fights well!" Gallade said as Diantha smiled at the group. Then Cynthia spoke to her.
"Um. Diantha. I don't have any more. But I got it shipped here overseas. And it was your perfect fit for you since it works well. You wanna try it out?" Cynthia said as she held a bag, something special to her.
"Yeah but, I don't know if I feel comfortable in here." Diantha said, wondering if it was comfortable to change.
"I got a dressing room right here. I'll help you. You lot can wait here, okay?" Cynthia said, a secret changing room just for her.
"Sure thing." Diantha said as she and Cynthia went in the dressing room, while the group waited for them to be done.
20 Minutes Later.
"Diantha has been changing in that tent for quite a while." Dawn said, being concerned on their time.
"I'm hopeful she's not missing." Alicia said being worried as Alex held her hand.
"She's still changing into her new clothes. Be patient." Alex promised, knowing Cynthia and Diantha were close friends.
"What is taking her so long?" Ash said being impatient for Diantha.
"Don't rush my mother! She's lovely and-" Alex said, scolding his friend until.
"I'm sorry for the long time Ash. I just wanted to look beautifully in this dress." Diantha said coming out of the dressing room with Cynthia.
"Whoah! Mom! That's..." Alex shockingly said as Diantha looked at her son.
"Adorable, right?" Diantha said as she smiled, Ash, Dawn, Alicia, Goh and Alex gasped while Cynthia smiled. Instead of her disguise or champion outfit, Diantha was wearing a beautiful white colored Kimono with flowers as she held her purse low on her right arm, her mega charm did stick out along with her heels. But she giggled a little as she smiled from the groups reaction.
"Amazing as usual, you have your tastes when it comes to fanciness." Cynthia said, loving how Diantha was being dressed. Her friend was beautiful.
"Thanks Cynthia, sorry for not sharing this a long time ago Alex. I wanted to make it a surprise. But, it's out." Diantha happily said as she then apologized for not explaining her situation.
"Well mom, I uh... Love the Kimono! Did, Valerie make it by chance?" Alex questioned as Diantha nodded.
"Yeah. I did ask her that favor." Diantha said as she remembered about asking Valerie a favor before heading out.
"Well! You all look amazing! Especially Diantha, Alex! She's got fancy style!" Ash said as he was amazed, forgetting about rushing her.
"Awesomeness! She's amazing..." Pikachu said in awe.
"And all of you are set! Allow me to be your guide!" Cynthia said as she was ready to give the tour give.
"Wow!" Alex, Alicia, Ash, Goh and Dawn said as they gasped on the artwork.
"That's mount coronet, isn't it?" Dawn questioned, seeing the mountain in the middle.
"Yes. But with it's brutal environment, it is thought to have had a large impact on everything in the area, including Pokémon." Cynthia said, knowing Hisui very well.
"Wow, I never knew Mount Coronet changed the way Pokémon lived." Alex said in curiosity.
"Indeed, Take a look at this image." Cynthia said as the group looked over, seeing a picture of Pokémon.
"Hyup." Pikachu, Piplup and Grookey said hopping off their trainers while gallade and gardevoir looked at the picture.
"Wow. Those are new." Alicia said knowing there were new Pokemon.
"Not new, Alicia. That's a Growlithe, and that's a Braviary. And it's said that the other two are the evolved forms of Basculin and Stantler." Cynthia explained, the growlithe being different with the Braviary. And then mentioning the new Pokemon.
"Wow." Ash gasped.
"I assume they are different from the ones we know of. Right?" Diantha said, Cynthia turned to her.
"You hit the spot, my friend." Cynthia said with a wink.
"Different? Like types they changed?" Alex questioned, how did they change?
"How about this? And this?!" Pikachu said as he mocked the growlithe and Braviary, then the other ones. Pikachu was having fun making their faces.
"I wonder if they still exist. I wish I could catch all of them!" Goh said, wanting to catch them. Diantha did gasp a slight bit as she realized something.
"You know. That does remind me. I was defending my title against a trainer and he used an Avalugg but I gasped to find out it wasn't an ordinary Avalugg, but it was different. Gardevoir and I had to use Mega Evolution since it was a battle like never before. In the end. We did win, but that really caught me off guard with many questions. But in the end it was worth finding out." Diantha said as she had a flashback where she defended her title against a trainer but it wasn't a Kalosian Avalugg, but it was different.
"Wow, talk about a story." Alicia said as Alex looked at Cynthia.
"Do trainers with Hisuian Pokémon still exist?" Alex questioned as Cynthia smiled.
"Yes, but they are rarely seen nowadays." Cynthia said, knowing how rare they are.
"Huh. I do want to see if that trainer has still been wandering." Diantha said, wondering that the trainer she battled was still around.
"Cynthia? Just how exactly did people catch Pokémon back in those days?" Ash said.
"Oh yeah, That's a contradiction. Is it not?" Alex added on. Cynthia shook her head.
"Well. No. For now Ash. Great question, glad you asked. Here." Cynthia said as she then showed them three Pokeballs. Dawn, Ash and Goh took one each.
"These are Poke Balls?" Ash said as he examined it.
"They look off." Pikachu said noticing them.
"Check it out, Pikachu." Ash showed his partner what they looked like.
"Wow!" Pikachu said.
"But they're a little different." Dawn admitted.
"That reminds me. Cynthia, did these kinds of Pokeballs exist back in Hisui?" Alex said as he pulled out Gallade's Friend Ball.
"No. It wasn't there at the time." Cynthia said, knowing that friend balls did not exist.
"So they were made of wood." Goh said, noticing some wood on it.
"That is the kind of Pokeball they used a long, long time ago." Cynthia said.
"Yeah?" Ash, Alex, Goh, Dawn & Alicia all said.
"Yeah?" Pikachu said.
"Yeah?" Grookey said also in the fray.
"Correct!" Piplup happily said.
"We recreated them using designs left by the artisans of the time." Cynthia said as she showed them a drawing of a Hisui Pokeball.
"Those old designs survived?" Goh said.
"Every poke ball has a normal, great ball and ultra ball, those were made from Hisui also. But the designs for them are lost and not found a lot often." Diantha said as she knew the Great and Ultra ball designs were far from found.
"Wow. So those three were only created at the time." Alicia said, knowing three survived.
"Not exactly." Diantha countered with her claim.
"Wait, There are more of them?" Alicia said turning her head to Diantha.
"Besides the classic trio, There are Heavy Poke balls, Leaden Poke balls, Gigaton Poke balls, Feather Poke balls, Wing Poke balls, Jet Poke balls and the once in a lifetime occurrence. The Origin Poke ball." Diantha said, explaining the other hisui Poke balls that existed back then.
"And you can catch Pokémon with those?" Ash said.
"Of course." Cynthia said, letting them try something new.
"I wanna try!" Ash exclaimed.
"Yeah, me too!" Goh chimed in with Ash.
"I do too!" Dawn also chimed in. Alicia seemed like to believe it was fun.
"Can I try this experience? Please?" Alicia pleaded to join in.
"Sorry Alicia and Alex but it's only three for now. But I promise next year. You'll get in on the fun! To make up for it. You both can partake in the Hisui Pokémon Battle." Cynthia said sadly, as she knew there was only three.
"Im not a battler. I know I can master Mega-Evolution but I'm not a skilled battler. Sorry." Alicia said, knowing she can't battle since she isn't experienced.
"Well, I thought you'd say that! So allow me to be your guide as you all experience... The Pokémon Catching Game!" Cynthia said as she then declared the game.
Cynthia's Biome. Canalave City.
"..." The biome was full of Pokemon as Combee, Bidoof, Budew all relaxing as the group came in and saw the place in amazement.
"This reminds me of cerise park!" Ash said as he knew about the place he and goh worked at.
"..." Many of the Pokémon were roaming around happily in the place, enjoying their time.
"Look at all the Pokémon. They're so cute!" Alicia happily said, noticing the Pokemon.
"Can I try to catch them?" Goh asked to Cynthia.
"Not just yet. Now, everybody come out!" Cynthia said as she made her call, three Pokemon came out: Oshawott, Rowlet and Cyndaquil.
"Oh, Hello!" Oshawott said appearing from the bushes.
"What's going on?" Cyndaquil said, following out of the bushes.
"We're here." Rowlet said as he flapped his wings.
"Huh, There are some new ones I've never seen before." Alex said, he never saw these three Pokémon before.
"These three?" Pikachu said, he knew these Pokémon.
"Who're they?" Grookey questioned.
"These three!" Piplup said as he saw them before.
"It's Oshawott, Cyndaquil and Rowlet!" Ash said, he knew these Pokemon. Alex remained quiet to think.
"Hey Cyndaquil." Pikachu said as he walked to Cyndaquil
"Hey THERRRREEE!" Cyndaquil said as his flames on his back of the body came firing.
"Wah!" Pikachu cried as he fell on his back.
"Cyndaquil is from Johto." Goh said, knowing his region.
"I'm better!" Piplup said to Oshawott.
"No..." Oshawott argued as they butted heads.
"Okay bro, calm down." Gallade said as he pulled away Piplup from butting more heads.
"Oshawott is from unova. And isn't Rowlet from Alola?" Goh said, knowing these Pokemon very well.
"Whoaaahhhhh..." Rowlet said as Grookey watched the flying bird from below.
"Cynthia, what's this all about?" Dawn asked, what is going on?
"Is there a memo or riddle for these three being here?" Alicia questioned. Cynthia held a board that contained the starters.
"Well, It's written in the historical record that these three kinds of Pokémon were brought from other regions to Sinnoh!" Cynthia explained, knowing what she was doing.
"That's amazing!" Goh said.
"I wanted to see what influence these three Pokémon from other regions would have on the environment. So I asked them to help me out." Cynthia said as she eyed the three Pokémon.
"I see. So these Pokémon had some sort of change to their heart. And become different evolutions." Alex said as he knew they were different too.
"Really?" Ash said, turning his head to Alex.
"Right! And so, you'll be catching three Pokémon. You can say hello to the three of them right now." Cynthia said as she let them introduce the Pokémon.
"Us?" Oshawott said.
"Catching us?" Cyndaquil said in surprise.
"Oh. This again." Rowlet sighed, knowing what this was about.
"We're gonna be good friends!" Ash promised, knowing what they would do.
"Yeah, Let's take it easy." Pikachu said, knowing let's go easy.
"Only one Poke ball per person. And you only have three minutes to do the catching! Catch one and you'll get a valuable prize!" Cynthia said as she put up and finger then turned to the group with three fingers.
"Of course there is not enough for us." Alicia sweatdropped as she and Alex knew they missed out.
"Three minutes will be more than enough!" Ash said. Wanting to catch them.
"It's a competition!" Goh said, making it more interesting.
"Count me in! And the winner gets all the prizes!" Dawn said, making the prize more better.
"It's a deal!" Ash and Goh said, accepting the offer.
"Yeah, only three Poke Balls for you three. We don't get to have fun, hmph!" Alicia pouted as she turned her head upsettingly.
"Don't pout alicia, maybe next time." Diantha said as she put her hand on her shoulder.
"Of course, your Pokémon Partners can all help." Cynthia said as Alex smirked.
"Have fun." Alex said with a smile on his face.
"Okay! It's off into the thickets you three!" Cynthia explained to the Pokémon as they knew now what to do.
"..." Cyndaquil, Oshawott and Rowlet went into bushes to hide to prevent being caught in the game. It began.
"It's just like hide-and-seek!" Dawn realized, what this catching game was actually a true game.
"Hide and seek." Piplup realized.
"It's time to get ready, Ash, Goh, Dawn... Let's go!" Cynthia said, the Game began as the three trainers ran in different directions.
"Ready for this, Pikachu?" Ash said as he and Pikachu went off looking.
"Yep!" Pikachu followed along, finding the starters.
"Get ready to take first place, Grookey!" Goh said.
"Ok." Grookey said.
"'Kay Piplup! We're gonna win this thing!" Dawn said as she leaped into the bushes, to find one of the three Pokemon.
"..." Ash and Pikachu looked and saw a bush rustle, They leaped only to find a Kricketot instead.
"That's not right." Pikachu said in realization.
"I guess it's just a Kricketot." Ash said, it was not a starter pokemon.
"Hmph, Gah!" Grookey said as he rustled some bushes.
"You see one? Oh, it's just a Cherrim." Goh said as he saw a Cherrim instead of a starter. Then cherrim changed forms and hid in the bush again. Only to bump into Ash's Pikachu. Then fleeing.
"What on earth...?" Alex said as he witnessed a mess. Diantha couldn't help but giggle lightly.
"Where are you? Come on out!" Ash said as he was stealthing through the grass.
"Quick, Piplup. Use Drill peck!" Dawn said, having an idea to deal with the grass.
"Drill Peck!" Piplup said as his beak managed to drill through the grass, passing Ash.
"Wait. It can do that?!" Ash realized. since flying type moves beat grass.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" Goh said as Piplup went under his legs.
"Bpbpbpbpbp GAH!" Piplup continued onwards in the grass before bashing into Oshawott in the back of the head.
"Grah!" Oshawott cried as both Pokemon fell down.
"Grrr. Why you! Take this!" Oshawott cried then became mad as he tried to use his schalp to hit piplup
"Drill peck!" Piplup countered, blocking the attacks.
"Piplup, NOW'S MY CHANCE!" Dawn called before she tossed her Hisui Pokeball at Oshawott.
"Huh? Hmph!" Piplup looked back before jumping to complete the toss.
"No you don't!" Oshawott said as he deflected it, preventing the capture.
"..." Dawn gasped as her toss flew in the air before bouncing off another Pokémon as Ash caught Dawn's Hisui Pokeball.
"What's this?" Ash said as he caught it in confusion.
"Owwww." Rowlet cried as it had a bump on it's head.
"Rowlet?" Ash realized, it was the starter.
"Hey, Ash! Over here!" Dawn called as Ash knew what to do.
"Okay." Ash said as he tossed Dawn's Pokeball back to her.
"Piplup, We'll catch Oshawott this time!" Dawn promised, knowing they can do it.
"Right! Drill peck!" Piplup said as he drill pecked while Oshawott kept blocking with the schalp once more.
"Hold up! I said wait!" Ash cried as he chased after rowlet in pursuit in the grass.
"This isn't a game. This is comedy." Alicia said as Alex realized it too. What was this?
"You bet. What am I looking at?" Alex said as knew this was dumb.
"If that's the case, then i'm catching Cyndaquil!" Goh said as he then stepped on a twig that broke.
"Ah! Take this!" Cyndaquil said as it freaked out and bumped into Goh's head. Goh landed on his back.
"You alright?" Grookey asked, was Goh okay from that?
"I'm good." Goh said as he turned around, facing cyndaquil head to head.
"Hmmpph, Flamethrower!" Cyndaquil cried as he fired off a flamethrower at Goh's face.
"You know, You're pretty bold. Aren't you?" Goh said, blinking surprisingly.
"How about this?" Grookey said as he jumped onto Cyndaquil.
"Mmmpph! Get off!" Cyndaquil cried as he couldn't see.
"Grookey, great work!" Goh said, knowing this was teamwork.
"Go!" Ash called as Pikachu leaped and smacked rowlet while he was in the air.
"Let's wrap this up, Piplup!" Dawn said as she got ready.
"Take this!" Piplup said as he managed to knock away the schalp from Oshawott.
"Poke Ball, Let's go!" Ash, Goh and Dawn
"..." The Poke balls all hit Rowlet, Cyndaquil and Oshawott with them bobbing around instead of wobbling around since they were different, before then. They stopped as they shot little stars coming out of them. They were captured! Gallade, Gardevoir, Pikachu, Piplup and Grookey were surprised about it.
"Now that's how Hisuian Poke balls worked back in the day." Diantha said as she closed her eyes.
"Caught 'em." Ash said as the three of them picked up their Poke Balls.
"Did you see that smoke?" Dawn asked, knowing how that it was different.
"So these are old fashioned Poke Balls." Goh said as Cynthia headed over to them.
"Interesting, aren't they?" Cynthia said as Alex, Alicia and Diantha caught up.
"Yeah!" Goh, Dawn and Ash said together.
"A Rowlet!" Ash said.
"A Cyndaquil too!" Goh joined in too.
"And Oshawott!" Dawn said, giving the last finishing touch.
"We caught all of them!" The three finished together as they caught the pokemon.
"All right, everybody bring out those Pokemon!" Cynthia said as the three of them opened the Pokeball.
"..." The three let Oshawott, Cyndaquil and Rowlet out of their Pokeballs since they were free.
"Thanks so much, you guys!" Ash said as Rowlet landed on Ash's head, much to his joy.
"It was fun!" Pikachu said.
"Yeah! A great Pokémon catching game!" Goh said happily as he petted Cyndaquil.
"Rarrhhhh!" Cyndaquil cried as it fired off flamethrower again.
"What was that for...?" Goh said weakly from the flames.
"You see? Cyndaquil uses Flamethrower on someone when it likes them." Cynthia said, knowing Cyndaquil liked Goh.
"Flamethrowers are a sign of someone liking you? Isn't that too much?" Alex said as he sweatdropped.
"..." Oshawott and Piplup rubbed their heads playfully together, seemingly forgetting that they were rivals. Dawn sweatdropped.
"When did they become such good friends?" Dawn questioned, how did this happen?
"Since you all caught your Pokémon within the time limit, here are the prizes I told you about." Cynthia said as a promise.
"Man i'm psyched!" Ash said excitingly. What were they?
"And the game was a three-way tie!" Goh said, knowing they all got the prizes.
"No one can hoard all the prizes!" Dawn said.
"But what is the prize?" Diantha said as Cynthia held her finger and gave them three books.
"Here you go." Cynthia said, giving them books.
"Huh?" Dawn and Ash said as they took a book.
"Everything I could find about Sinnoh's space-time legends!" Cynthia said as Goh had stars in his eyes, loving the book.
"Fantastic! Thanks so very much!" Goh said happily, While Dawn and Ash were confused.
"Hahah! Good one. What are the actual prizes, Cynthia?" Alex laughed before calming himself down.
"These are the ones." Cynthia said as Alicia suddenly frowned.
"Really. That's the prize after ALL of that?" Alicia said in a frowned mood.
"What's wrong with it?" Cynthia said as she raised her eyebrow. Alex just drooped
"Yeah, Never mind. At least we didn't join." Alex said, admitting they were glad they did not join.
"Still. Could've been a fun game." Alicia said, knowing it was still fun!
"The limitations of you all have shared something. There is a next part. So remember, it's not over." Diantha said, knowing the little tour was not done.
"Wait, what about the next part?" Ash said, overhearing Diantha's words.
"Right, The festival is not ever yet. For this experience not yet." Cynthia said, knowing there was still more.
"Huh? This experience?" Ash said in confusion.
"Come outside and you will see." Cynthia said as she showed the group a battlefield where people were at.
"Wow, A battlefield." Dawn said in amazement.
"It's so cool! Just wow!" Goh said as he examined the area with his head.
"That was when People from Hisui battled." Cynthia said, knowing how the people battled.
"Look at all the cool Pokemon." Alicia said, seeing more pictures of Hisui pokemon.
"There are more. Goodra. Sneasel. Even Liligant!" Cynthia said, seeing the pictures of Goodra, Sneasel and Lilligant being different.
"Yes. More of the same but different." Diantha said as Cynthia was ready.
"Now then, shall we see who's lucky to battle?" Cynthia said looking at Alex.
"Battle? Me?" Alex said, pointing at himself.
"Yes. Since I believe you deserve something amazing. I want you to have an experience!" Cynthia said, wanting to help alex out.
"...Okay?" Alex said blankly as the lights dimmed suddenly.
"Welcome to the once in a year event of the Hisuian Pokemon Battle Festival! Where trainers compete head to head with their trusty Pokemon in the times of old! In the right corner, We have Alex!" The announcer called as it showed the battlefield before the light shined on Alex and his Gallade.
"Hello!" Alex said with a wave of his hand.
"And now, who is up to challenge the might of Alex and his partner. Gallade. Anyone? Come on! Don't be afraid!" The announcer said as anyone was looking at each other..
"I'll go." A strange kid called up.
"Ah?" Diantha gasped, she knew the voice.
"Been a while since we saw each other, Champion Diantha." The strange trainer said, Diantha was surprised.
"Hmm." Diantha said as the trainer looked at Alex.
"You must be the son of Diantha everyone heard about." The trainer said as he looked tall, somewhat at Alex's height with a funky hairstyle, sweats, black shoes and a coat that was black and white.
"Yeah, Who are you?" Alex questioned as the trainer smirked.
"Bucko. Don't worry, My names Wocky. I'll show you that name when I beat you in front of diantha. Go." Wocky said, introducing himself then throwing a Pokeball.
"Grrroooaahhhhh!" Avalugg cried out, but instead of the one Wulfric had. It was differently shaped with sharp fins in front.
"Whoah, What is that? An Avalugg?" Ash said, being confused on Avalugg. What is wrong with it?
"Thats the same one. No doubt about it." Diantha said, this was the same trainer she battled years ago.
"Yes, It is an Avalugg. But it's a Hisuian form Avalugg. It's not pure Ice type, It's an Ice and Rock type." Cynthia said, knowing Avalugg had a rock type with it. This was a Hisui Avalugg. Something different for once.
"Alright. Let's begin. First one to faint, loses! Let's battle fairly and cleanly." The referee said as the battle began between the two trainers.
WOCKY VS ALEX: ONE ON ONE
"Alright Avalugg, Let's get moving with Iron Defense." Wocky said as he maked a shield with his hands as a motion.
"Grrahahhh! Iron Defense!" Avalugg groaned as he then raised his defense. Alex realized since he studied.
"Already playing defense with that high defense mark. This might be tough. Alright. Leaf Blade!" Alex said as he knew he had to strike plenty of times. Then he commanded his move.
"Hrraagghhh! Leaf Blade! Leaf Blade! Leaf Blade!" Gallade called as his blades became green swords and slashed Avalugg multiple times.
"Wow. It must've taken some hits. But it won't go down." Alex realized as Avalugg was tanking the hits.
"Now, Body Slam!" Wocky said as Avalugg jumped.
"Dodge it, Quick!" Alex called as Gallade was a speedy Pokemon thanks to their bond.
"Body Slam!" Avalugg shouted as he slammed but missed Gallade.
"Hrraghh! Grrrrrhhhh!" Gallade said as he slipped past, turned around and charged at Avalugg.
"Gotcha. Ice Fang!" Wocky said then made his command.
"Ice Fang!" Avalugg opened his mouth and trapped Gallade in a Ice Fang and locked it up. Alex did notice but realize Avalugg was open.
"Rapid Brick Break. Try for the head." Alex
"Wait. The head?" Wocky said in a freaked out tone.
"Gragh! Gragh! Brick Break! Brick Break!" Gallade shouted as he hit Avalugg's head multiple times. Breaking it out.
"Grroah, Groaaah, Grrrauughhh!" Avalugg cried in pain, letting Ice Fang go.
"Now, Brick Break. End this now!" Alex said as he commanded the final blow.
"Brick Break!" Gallade said as he jumped and hit Avalugg with another brick break.
"Grrroooaaahhhh!" Avalugg cried out as the smoke covered the area.
"Fighting types are four times super effective against something like Hisuian Avalugg's type." Diantha said, knowing Avalugg had another type to it. As Avalugg was down with swirls on his eyes.
"Avalugg is unable to battle! Gallade is the winner!" Cynthia said as that was the match. Alicia blushed happily.
"He never changes. That winning streak of his continues onward." Diantha said proudly, the streak continues.
"Wow! We did it!" Gallade said as Gallade headed over with a smile.
"Thanks Gallade." Alex said as they hugged each other carefully.
"Hmm, Not a problem." Gallade said as they broke the hug as Pikachu and Piplup headed to Gallade.
"Way to go big brother!" Pikachu and Piplup happily cheered to their friend.
"Now that was awesome!" Alicia said as they did kiss a bit then let go. Both did blush.
"Showing your strongest side once again, Congrats." Diantha said as she was proud for Alex.
"Thanks, Mom." Alex said as he was happy.
"Nice Avalugg. I guess it wasn't enough, return buddy." Wocky said as he returned Avalugg.
"Nice Hisuian Avalugg. You must be the trainer Diantha spoke about to us." Alicia said as she then seemed like this was the same trainer as before.
"Yeah, I lost but hey. Good battle man, maybe I shouldn't doubt ya, good battle?" Wocky said as he put a fist-bump.
"Good battle." Alex admitted with a fist-bump of his own.
"Alright, See you later man. We are gonna have fun." Wocky said as he left.
"And that is our battle everyone! Alex has won! Thank you for tuning in. We will see you next time!" The announcer said as everyone cheered, but in the mountains of Mount Coronet, someone familiar was watching and they were snarling and upset. A girl that was familiar to Alex. Although Alex and Co. Didn't know, they were being watched.
"Tch. Little punks. Thinking they can show up now?" A strange woman voice said as she looked down from the mountains with snarling and anger.
