Chapter 3 The Dark Knight and Princess of the Stars
AN: WHAT'S UP!
Wayne Manor - Bat Cave
We see at the main computer, that Alfred was typing over a few things to show the sudden return of Bruce Wayne was very troubling. He frowned and didn't like the fact that his master's former childhood friend, Tommy - Hush was wearing Bruce's face like that to take over everything. The elder bulter was told about this shocking news by young Jason not so long ago and had already gone over some protection programs that Bruce set up a long time ago.
Best to be prepared.
"This could be a problem," Cassandra frowned with her mask off and looked at Jason who took off his mask & face guard.
"I know...so the Sirens were right. Hush is back in town and using Bruce's ID for everything down with the very company," Jason agreed to this sudden bad news and knows that Hush is very dangerous.
"Doing an alliance with the Sirens is the best option to go up against Hush who would be using Bruce's company and technology. Hmm, Alfred, have the new security programs coming along?" Jason asked.
"Pretty good, Master Jason. Master Bruce had an idea that Clayface or someone might use his identity. The manor down to the cave is locked down. Eliot may have taken the face but not the DNA and doesn't know the passwords. I don't think he would risk himself being exposed by coming to Wayne Manor," Alfred explained, showing on bat-computer the new programs that Bruce set up all those years ago and were active now.
Jason and Cassandra nodded their heads, being impressed by that program and knowing that Bruce was always ten...no twenty steps ahead of everyone. That brought some sad memories for the pair but shook it off and focused on the case.
"You can't trust them," Cassandra warned, not sure about trusting the Sirens fully.
"Perhaps but this is serious, Cassandra. I never came across, Selina but Bruce had told me that when she's being serious about something, trust can work and works two ways. Ivy, as long you don't harm her plants or babies, I think everything will be fine. And from what I remember, Hush screwed both Cat and Ivy, many times over during that heist of sorts," Jason explained, making good sense.
"What about Ms. Quinn?" Alfred asked, wondering about the young master's thoughts on the former sidekick of the Joker.
"A victim and someone I pity actually," Jason admitted with a frown and surprised the pair greatly by that.
"That's...a deep surprise there, Master Todd. I would expect you would have some hatred for Ms. Quinn due to your similar history," Alfred said as he got up from the chair and walked with the pair to the worktable.
"Harley...didn't much harm me when I was...well you know. She took pity and tried to do her best but wasn't enough. I'm willing to work with her and other sirens to stop Hush from further using Bruce's good name to drag it all into the ground in blood. I won't allow that," Jason said with his eyes narrowed and clipped his utility belt back around his waist before putting his mask & face guard back on.
Alfred nodded his head and was impressed that Jason to not have that rage in him, being a bit more open-minded and yet still on this path of darkness in the abyss. He could only hope Cassandra, himself, and others to help the young man rise. Just as Bruce did all those years ago.
"That's good to hear, Master Jason," Alfred nodded his head.
"Yeah...I will thank Ben who those lessons on controlling my anger," Jason remarked as he got his face guard on fully.
"Ah, Mr. Turner does have good lessons," Alfred smirked in agreement and would have to thank Ben the next he saw him for helping Jason out.
"Tough as nails," Cassandra commented.
"Yeah...he was," Jason or now Batman agreed, walking over to the batmobile to get ready for one last patrol for the night.
"Should I save dinner, Master Jason?" Alfred asked.
"Yes, Alfred, do that. Cassandra helped Alfred out with putting the last of new defense out," Batman informed.
"Got...it," Cassandra nodded her head in agreement and kind of didn't like to see Jason going out alone but knew slow steps would help him down the line.
Alfred placed a comforting hand on Cassandra's shoulder and said, "I'm sure, Jason can handle himself."
"Yes...but he's hurting," Cassandra said with a sad frown at her grandfather figure.
Alfred sighed and nodded in understanding as the pair watched the black batmobile take off for another patrol tonight. Gotham will always need a Dark Knight but the man behind the mask needs support and healing. Perhaps someone will help Jason with that.
Time Skip
We see Batman (Jason) driving the Batmobile in silence and at good speed to get the attention of GCPD or anyone. He was focused on the road and frowned underneath his mask as he saw another quiet night in Gotham. Granted, he never got the phone numbers of the Sirens to call them and see if they have any leads he can start with onto Hush. Though, maybe Bruce still has Selina's phone number.
"It's worth a try," Batman thought before something and someone caught his attention from the front of the mobile's window.
The New Dark Knight saw someone flying in Gotham before unleashing this bright orange and green flare of energy in the shape of a bat's outline in a quick motion before leaving behind a green streak of light to follow. This caused the bat to follow this person and have a pretty good idea of who it was.
"I wonder why she's here? We haven't spoken since she went back to Dick...hmm," Batman thought, humming in thought before parking the car and climbing out before pulling a grapple gun to get to the rooftop much faster.
Batman spread the cape out, acting as a glide and slowing down his force as he landed on the rooftop before looking up to see who was indeed in Gotham now.
The said person was a tall and muscular Amazonian beauty, with deep orange skin that gave her a pure exotic look, her hair was long, dark red with its ends seeming to turn into glowing orange flames, and her eyes were completely green in color, pupil, and sclera, while unique it seemed to fit her charm, with soft and lustful lips and a face that could be described as eternal beauty.

"I decied to come here after some problems between me and Friend Nightwing," Kori informed with a frown and crossed her arms as her hair flowed with the wind, making her more beautiful than mad.
"I see...do you want to talk about?" Batman asked in concern due to the history he had with Starfire during the Outlaws and so on before the said group broke up due to some issues in a way.
Kori's frown turned into a smile and glad of that kindness, seeing the very Jason she met a while ago on the beach and grow close with.
"And I thought being Batman means you have to be all dark," Kori joked, couldn't help it.
"Maybe...but not to an old friend," Batman admitted, not seeing himself to be dark to Kori, Cassandra, Alfred, those that teach him, and rare few others.
"Good...Friend Nightwing and I talked to each other before the first Batman died, some impronat stuff like your people called 'taking it slow in marriage' or 'where our relationship should go backward to be just friends'. I...I just couldn't believe that and how he pushed me away so much after the Bat's death," Kori explained with a sigh and some tears that dared to come out from her green eyes but was stopped when the new Dark Knight held her close & cleaned those up.
Batman was frowning on that and saw how Dick was being a dick on this. He was pushing a girl away for was waiting for him and for what? Something stupid and he's not ready? Granted, Jason had a few old flames but he never used them and mostly they ended things on a good note...much like between him & Kori. Though, both had lustful dreams about that to be honest, moving on.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Kori. Do you need a place to stay?" Batman asked.
"Thanks, that would be most helpful, Friend Jason," Kori smiled before hugging the new Dark Knight and causing him to grunt a little due to her Tamaranian's strength hugs can be a bit too strong for anyone's liking.

His eyes widen before relaxing, remembering this taste and heat rising in him. Unknown to the pair, a pair of golden eyes flashed in the shadow with interest before disappearing and leaving the Dark Knight & Princess pair to themselves as they broke the kiss to breathe fresh air.
"That was...wow," Jason admitted with a smirk as the pair were still locked to each other.

After taking the face guard and informing Alfred & Cassandra that he was going to be coming home tomorrow morning as he had to help an old friend of his. That caused some raised eyebrows but tomorrow, it will be explained.
