Shinachiku Uzumaki received a task from his aunt Karin to organize a storage area within one of Orochimaru's laboratories. His best friend Ryu Uchiha and Ryu's sister, Haruko were also there to help him. The storage space held an array of items, including scrolls, blueprints, lab apparatuses, and some inexplicably eerie objects.
Observing Haruko engrossed in reading some scrolls, Shin cautioned, "Haruko, Aunt Karin explicitly instructed us not to open those scrolls; we don't know what forbidden jutsu might be inscribed in them."
Shrugging, Haruko replied, "Shin nii-san, I can't help it. I'm a curious teenager. Your aunt knows that, so she probably predicted we'd at least take a peek at these scrolls."
"Even so, Aunt trusted us on this, so we shouldn't break that trust," Shin insisted.
Mockingly, Haruko retorted, "More like she enslaves us. Your aunt always says this work is classified just to make you say yes."
"Let it go, Shin. She can't understand those scrolls anyway; they're written in ancient text," Ryu added with a smug smile.
"You're so mean, nii-san. Just wait; I'll master the ancient writing this year. I'll soon understand all this text."
"Woah, you opened some scrolls too, Ryu?" Shin questioned worriedly.
"What? I just took a peek too," Ryu confessed.
Shin sighed, "You two are indeed siblings."
As they neared completion of their task, they stumbled upon a peculiar golden-old jar.
"Look at this jar; it looks expensive," Haruko said as she shook it.
"Be careful, Haruko; you don't know what's inside," Shin warned.
Undeterred, Haruko declared, "There's definitely something inside. I'll open it."
Inside the jar, they discovered yet another scroll. "Another scroll? Hmmm, this must be special since it was inside. Let me take a peek," Haruko suggested, and Ryu and Shin, equally curious, agreed.
To their amazement, the text on the scroll was crafted in gold. As Shin began to read, the text suddenly started to glow.
Shin awoke to find himself outdoors, puzzled about what had happened. The last thing he remembered was a bright light and being with Ryu and Haruko. Searching for his friends, he sensed Haruko's presence not too far away. She lay on the grass.
"Haruko, wake up."
"What happened? Where are we? Where's nii-san?" Haruko asked.
"I don't know yet, but this place looks familiar."
"I think so too."
"Let's look for Ryu. If he's already awake, he's probably lost. You know how poor his sense of direction is," Shin said.
About to use his sage mode to locate Ryu, Haruko whispered, "Nii-san, there are three individuals near us."
"I know; I can sense them too. But I don't think they're enemies; their chakra feels familiar and warm," he assured her. "We don't mean any harm; please show yourselves," Shin called out.
...to be continued.
A/N: Hi, thank you for reading. In my other stories, I mentioned that I wouldn't be writing anymore due to my struggles with grammar. However, with the help of the internet, I now feel more confident. Thanks once again.
