Chapter 6

Obito stared at the cloned rinnegan eye, it wouldn't be as powerful as a natural one, specifically Nagato's eyes. He would've preferred Madara give him one of his eyes, but the old bastard didn't trust him with it. Only the essential ways to create an artificial or cloned one.

Now he knew where Nagato's eyes were, and getting them was officially impossible. So, he would have to stick with a clone. An artificial one would take less time to make, but he wanted an actual chance to beat the Hokage.

"Obito, there's been a…development, it's a game changer." Zetsu said.

"Define a game changer."

"Well…"

He proceeded to explain the ship, the aliens, and the Kage summit. Obito was completely silent as he took it all in. His goal was now officially on hold, this really was a game changer. A new threat might just be on its way, and now they had to prepare. Getting this eye was first, and they'd figure it out as they went on.

2 Weeks Later – Konoha – Kage Tower

If they wanted something then they would have to negotiate. He wasn't going to be threatened nor would he be bullied into submission. At the moment however, he was staring at this marriage proposal. From Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri.

"You aren't actually considering these women are you?" Sakura asked. "It's clear what they want, and it isn't just access to the tech." – "They're desperate."

Sakura proceeded to look over the candidates while Naruto couldn't help, but find this amusing.

"Kurotsuchi, the Tsuchikage's granddaughter of all people, that's a sign of desperation."

"She clearly held a grudge against my dad for what he did in the war."

"Samui from Kumo, that blonde cow right?"

Naruto held in his laughter.

"And Karui, that angry looking red head, she came here with Samui."

"What about Mist?"

"The Mizukage, she's old enough to be your mother so…"

"Not an option, I'm not exactly into older women, well not that much older." He explained. "Political marriages like these are nothing new." – "At best it improves relations, and we develop some sort of affection for each other."

"At worst you become stuck in a loveless marriage full of resentment, and possibly infidelity."

It was really up to him, and the woman how this would go. Accepting was a definite risk, and having a child would complicate things. The thought of caring for a child of his blood did excite the blonde. But, that was for later.

"Marriage aside, I'd like your report on that runaway cat." He said.

Sakura's expression became serious, she understood the code, and how serious it was.

"The little monster has killed 7 people so far, and has fled beyond the shinobi borders." She stated. "It's headed west."

This wasn't good, not good at all. Something had been let loose after he got his hands on Honerva's journal. Whatever it was it was big, and had somehow escaped the prison the First Hokage created for it. Honerva created a monster, one with immense power, enough to fight a tailed beast. Now it was out there, roaming the world.

"The west, that's where 'they' live." He let out a sigh of exhaustion. "If they trace it back to us then at least one of them will use it as an excuse to declare war."

"They've really made it clear how much they hate us, and how much they want our resource rich land." he said. "I have people watching the Land of Whirlpools so they don't try anything."

He'd made an official claim to it as his people's homeland so no village would touch it lest they incur his wrath. Even so he had to take responsibility for this. He would put this marriage thing on hold, and deal with this first. He would leave a special clone behind so nobody noticed that he was gone. Then again he wouldn't technically be gone.

He was definitely going to get hell from everyone once he returned, but he would take it. After all this was his mess to clean up. If anyone died, it was his fault. His and Honerva, the latter created the damn thing. And, he had no idea how to beat it. Even so, Naruto Uzumaki was called unpredictable for a reason.

4 Days Later – Western Kingdom Ruins

The western kingdom was in complete and utter ruins. There were no survivors in sight, only the bodies of the dead. Naruto clenched his fists in anger; this was his fault. His and that thing in front of him, it stood at 320 feet tall. It looked to be completely made of a black metal, and fleshy bits. Its arms were skeletal as was its face, but there were blue crystals jutting out.

It had no legs and simply floated though Naruto didn't yet know how. Honestly he didn't really care, the only thing he cared about was killing this thing.

'Naruto, my chakra, you might actually need it this time.' the fox spoke with concern. 'This thing is powerful.'

The blonde said nothing as he went into sage mode. The beast then charged, clawing at the ground as it did. Its mouth opened and it let out a roar.

"A last resort but…I might." He said before dashing forward.

Jumping forward onto the beast's arm, he ran up and punched it in the face. The punch forced the beast to stop as a small part of its head was now dented.

"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Five hundred clones came into existence and immediately ran forward. Each one creating massive rasengans with some having rasenshurikens. Leaping into the air some aimed for the flesh bits of the beast while others leapt higher.

Naruto wasn't done though as he ran along the beast's face, and punched where he could as hard as he could. This went onto for a few seconds before the creature spun around and threw him off. The vortex created managed to destroy the clone's that had been coming down. This caused their attacks to dissipate.

The beast wasted no time in lunging forward to crush him like the others. Naruto was fast enough to dodge, but the shockwaves knocked him off balance which forced him to put distance between them. This didn't help as the beast opened it's mouth and fired bullets made of chakra at him.

"Shit!"

Once more he was forced to dodge, but this time he had to go faster. The chakra bullets weren't as fast as the alien bullets, but they were still fast.

"Wind Style: Gale Rider!"

Leaping into the air he proceeded to fly around the beast. The bullets stopped but then came an intense beam of chakra that violently crackled like electricity.

"A bean if course it has a fucking beam!"

'That beam and those bullets are like the ones we tailed beasts create!'

"So what, I'm fighting a fake tailed beast?"

'Maybe, but I think those specific attacks are copied but flawed.' – 'They don't pack the same punch.'

Naruto flew down and then up as the beam turned into bullets that actively sought him. Speeding up he flew closer and then around the beast, this caused the bullets to hit it instead.

"Alright let's try this!"

His sage mode deactivated and his rinnegan blazed it with an intensity that not even Nagato could wield. Gathering his chakra around his body he pulled it, stretched it, and gave it form. This was a jutsu he'd created for three specific purposes.

Defeat Madara Uchiha, defeat the other Kage he ever had to fight them, and defend his people. Now standing as tall as his foe, Naruto stood as a massive fox with nine tails and golden fur. It wasn't transparent in any way, no, this was fur and flesh with chakra/quintessence blood.

"Sun Scorching Fox!"

Rushing forward with surprising speed, he tore its right arm off with fangs sharp as blades and as hot as the sun. The beast roared in pain as a purple substance spurted out of the wound. Turning around it shot at Naruto with chakra bullets only for them to hit the ground where he'd been.

"Sun Spark!"

Heat and pain was all the monster felt as a ray of fire infused chakra tore through it without mercy. This wasn't even his strongest attack. Not by a long shot, but it was enough to finish the monster.

This was the power of Naruto Uzumaki. This was the power of the Rokudaime Hokage, and he was only going to grow stronger. But this didn't change what happened, nothing could undo this tragedy. An entire kingdom gone, millions of lives snuffed out because of him.

Then something opened and the universe shifted ever so slightly. Things were never going to be the same.

1 Month Later – Konoha

Reverse engineering the alien technology had been difficult at first, but then it began to make sense. The mathematics, engineering, power sources, and space began to make sense. Same with their weapons.

"We've been able to make better melee weapons by integrating their designs with our own."

"Good and what about the shields?"

"They were easy enough, give us a few months and every shinobi in Konoha will be equipped with one."

"That's good to hear." – "How about the ship?"

"That's a bit…"

"A bit what?"

"It would take us a year or two to make our own, but we can get this one working again." The scientist explained. "It wasn't damaged so if possible we could use it."

'Ruling the stars.' the fox said. 'This is how it starts, but what does ruling the stars mean exactly?'

"Let's put that on hold for a bit, at least until we fully understand their technology." Naruto said. 'Not sure but it might involve fighting more aliens.'

He didn't want to instigate any fights, but exploration of the stars was complicated. People wouldn't sit still, they would want to know what was out there. Just like he did, well still does really. There would be life altering consequences if he decided to pursue this, in fact the other villages wouldn't stay silent.

'Our advancement is pissing a lot of people off and it isn't just the hidden villages.' he silently mused. 'Madara might try something, and if he does.'

Naruto clenched his fists.

'I'll put him into the ground permanently.'

Madara Uchiha would die by his hands. Some of this was revenge driven, but he didn't care. He would protect everyone even if it meant delving into Honerva's more dangerous techniques. He wouldn't become like her though. It was unlikely, right?
