Hopeful Days III – Hope's Peak Academy

Kyosuke's gaze was harsh, the harshest that Makoto had ever seen on a teacher. "Here's your schedule for the classes." He points to the blackboard behind him. "Student presence is not obligatory." He finishes.

It takes some seconds, but what he said finally clicks in on the heads of the students. "Uh, sir, I believe you may have confused your words there." Kiyotaka says while raising his hand.

"I assure you Ishimaru, I have not misspoken." Seeing their confused expressions, the silver-haired man sighs. "Here at Hope's Peak, students are not required to partake in any classes." He adjusts the collar of his suit and continues. "Students are to focus on developing their talents, classes are completely optional-" The man is interrupt, making him sigh in annoyance.

The Moral Compass gets up from his chair and asks. "B-But then, why do we even have classes?"

Kyosuke sends a cold stare towards the Ultimate, making him shriek back into his seat. "Assignments and tests based on normal high school subjects are still obligatory. So it falls on the shoulders of the students to know how to balance their studies and the development of their talents." Explains the vice-principal. "Tests and assignments aren't the only things you'll be tested on. At the end of each month, you're to write a essay explaining how the development of your talent is going." Closing his eyes, the man says. "Failure to do so, will result in expulsion from the academy."

Show appear on most of the Ultimates faces. None of them knew that you could actually be kicked out of Hope's Peak.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Leon yells from the back of the class. "So you tellin' me that we can actually get kicked out?"

Nodding, Kyosuke confirms. "Yes. That is indeed the case." While the shock settles in on the Ultimates minds, the homeroom teacher grabs something behind the teacher's podium. "Next, I will give you this." Putting a box over his desk, Munakata pulls a small tablet from inside of it. "Those are your e-Handbooks. They very important, so it would be wise to not lose sight of them." He then walks past the students, handing them their tablets. "The e-Handbooks contain your student IDs, a map of the academy and a set of rules that you must follow, so I believe it would be in your best interest to read them all later." Handing Makoto his handbook, Munakata sends him a particularly cold stare, before continuing on his way. "Lastly, all of you have your own workshops, where you will be developing your talents. All except for the lucky students, which share a single workshop." Once he finishes handing the Ultimates their tablets, the teacher makes his way back to his desk and turns to the others. "The location of your workshops are marked down on your handbook's map." Given them all one last stare, the man they would call homeroom teacher shakes his head. "That's all for today, you're all dismissed." He then turns around and walks out of the classroom.

A silence fills the room as the students awkwardly look at their handbooks.

That, aye was a lot.' Thought Makoto while staring at his own picture on the tablet.

"Oh well, I'm gonna check out my workshop!" Kotoko yells while getting up from her desk with a smile on her face. "See ya!" Without waiting, the pinkette just bolts out of the room, making the Moral Compass stand up and yell.

"NO RUNNING IN THE CLASSROOM OR HALLWAYS!" Kiyotaka walks slightly faster than normal, in pursuing of the pink-haired teenager.

After seeing that, most of the other students just quietly get up from their seats and walk out of the classroom.

All but two, one of them being Makoto who was still staring at his handbook.

"Quite the introduction, wasn't it?" A sweet voice says, making the brunette look up from the tablet and towards the owner of the voice.

Makoto's cheeks turn slightly red as he faces the girl in front of him.

Maizono Sayaka – Ultimate Idol

Sayaka looked just like Makoto remembered her, except, somehow more beautiful.

Her long dark-blue hair contrasted so well with her pale, almost porcelain-like, skin.

Shaking his head, the brunette scratches his cheek. "Y-Yeah, I can already tell that Munakata-semsei is going to be quite strict." He blushes even more as Sayaka giggles.

As expected from a idol, her voice is hypnotic, even when doing small things like giggling.

A small, comfortable silence falls as the two teens look at each other.

"It's exciting, isn't it?" Closing her eyes, Sayaka lets out a content sigh. "Hope's Peak, I mean." Opening her eyes, the idol looks at Makoto, who nods.

"Yeah." He stops for a second, just now he began to truly grasp just how grandiose this opportunity really is. "Although I'd say it's quite scary too." Smiling softly, the boy looks up towards the idol, unbeknownst to him, making her heart flutter. "But I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited to be here."

Sayaka opens her mouth to reply, but someone interrupts her.

"Oi Naegi!" The Ultimate baseball star says while walking into the classroom. "Wanna explore the school togethe-" He stops once Sayaka's eyes turn to him. "Ahem, hello there!" Opening a smile, the redhead does a little greeting. "I'm Kuwata Leon, Ultimate Baseball Star!"

Sayaka nods. "I'm Maizono Sayaka, Ultimate Idol." Doing a little bow, the blue-haired girl tilts her head to the side and smiles friendly. "A pleasure to meet you." Before the redhead can say anything more, the idol turns to the Luckster and smiles. "I'll talk to you later, Naegi-kun!" She then excuses herself and walks away.

Makoto blinks. 'I never introduced myself to her-' Then, it clicks in his head. ' She remembers me!'

"Damn Naegi, already going on the advance eh?" Leon says with a smirk, taking the brunette out of his thoughts.

"O-Oh, not really." Waving his arms, the shorter boy blushes. "She was the one that approached me."

The redhead continues smirking. "Yeah, of course she did." He then points to the door. "Anyways, wanna explore the school together?"

Getting up from his chair, the Luckster nods. "Sure, let's go."

With that, the two teenagers walk out of the classroom leaving it completely empty.

While exploring around the campus, Makoto and Leon ended up at the pool, while looking around, the other people enter the building.

"Oh. My. Gosh!" The first person yells, making the two boys turn to face her. "This is like one of those Olympic pools!" The girl says excited.

Asahina Aoi – Ultimate Swimmer

Aoi has brown skin, brunette hair tied into a high curly ponytail and has blue eyes.

The name Asahina Aoi was one that anyone that enjoyed sports knew about. She had won a enormous amounts of swimming tournaments and even was aiming for gold on the Olympics.

By the side of the awestruck swimmer was another girl, but this one was really tall and muscular.

Oogami Sakura – Ultimate Grappler

Sakura has dark reddish skin, pale-blue eyes and long wild silver hair.

Oogami Sakura, also known as the ogre. A girl with a Game that proceeds her, being the undefeated champion of the largest underground arena in Japan. The rumors of her strength as a martial artists are so wild that if video evidence didn't exist, it was easily something that could come out of a fighting manga.

The two girls stand there, until their eyes land on the two boys, or at least Sakura's does.

Aoi was still awestruck by the pool in front of her.

"Are you two using the pool." Sakura's voice is deep and stern, giving her a aura of danger, the slight frown on her face not helping on that matter.

"N-no, we're just exploring." The brunette boy says with a slight tinge of fear in his voice.

The giant woman nods. "Understood." Looking at the two with her pale-blue eyes, the girl bows. "I'm Oogami Sakura, Ultimate Grappler." Her tone is quite polite, which surprises Makoto.

"I-I'm Naegi Makoto, Ultimate Lucky Student." He bows too, partially to hide her fearful expression. "A pleasure to meet you."

"U-Uh, Kuwata Leon, Ultimate Baseball Star." The redhead replies, not hiding his fear as well as the brunette.

Acknowledging them with a nod, the tall girl turns to her dark-skinned friend and calls her name. "Asahina-san."

Just that is enough to make the shorter girl snap back into reality. "Oh yeah, I'm Asahina Aoi, Ultimat Swimmer!" She smiles and does a peace sign, before turning to her larger friend. "Hey Sakura-chan? Do you think we can go for a little swim?" The other girl sighs.

"Even If I say no, you would do it anyway." Sakura says and shorter athlete giggles.

"Let's change! I want to feel the water on my skin!" Excited Aoi runs towards the changing room, not waiting for her taller friend.

Sakura sighs again, then turns to face the two boys. "You two want to swim with us?"

Leon is quick to dismiss it. "N-Nah, we're good, right Naegi?" He turns to the brunette who nods quickly. "We still have the rest of the school to explore." Turning to the exit, the baseball player says. "Let's go, Naegi!" Leon then starts to run.

Shaking his head, the shorter boy runs behind the other Ultimate, leaving Sakura alone.

The taller girl sighs tiredly. "It's always like this." She whispers to herself, before making her way to the changing room.

Makoto and Leon explore more of the academy.

"Man, this place is gigantic!" The baseball star says as the two boys turn a corner. "We have been walking for a while and still haven't seen everything."

The brunette nods. "Yeah, it's bigger than I thought it would be." Looking around, the Luckster eyes shine with excitement.

"Heeeeey! Naegi-kun!" A voice exclaims from behind the two.

Turning around, they see the Ultimate Actress stop in front of them and do a twirl, before posing and saying.

"Exploring the school?" She asks and the brunette nods.

"Yeah, me and Kuwata-kun have seeing a lot, but we are far from done." As he mentions the other boy, Kotoko turns her head to face him and let's out a small 'oooh'.

The redhead laughs awkwardly. ' She didn't even notice me, did she?' Coughing falsely, the other boy smiles. "Kuwata Leon, Ultimate Baseball Star." He introduces himself and the pinkette nods.

"Utsugi Kotoko, Ultimate Actress!" Doing another twirl, the pink-haired girl replies. "Anyways!" Turning back to Makoto, she grabs his hand, making the boy blush. "Have you visited your workshop yet?"

The brunette nods negatively, still blushing at the sudden physical contact. "N-No, not yet."

Kotoko smiles excitedly. "Really? Mine is totes awesome!" Letting go of his hand, the girl closes her eyes and giggles. "Let's go see your workshop!"

Laughing awkwardly, Makoto nods, before turning to face Leon.

The redhead sighs and shakes his head. "Well, guess we'll be going our separate ways now." Crossing his arms, the baseball player continues. "My workshop is very distant from yours."

"I see, thanks for accompanying me today, Kuwata-kun." The brunette smiles and does a little bow. "See you tomorrow." With that, he and the actress walk away, leaving the redhead alone.

"Huh?" Leon sighs, uncrossing his arms. "First Maizono and now Utsugi." He shakes his head. "Better keep my eyes on this guy." The redhead turns around and starts walking to his workshop.

While going to his workshop together with Kotoko, the brunette seems lost in thought.

"Everything alright?" The pinkette asks, making Makoto shake his head.

"I was just wondering something." He replies and she lifts a eyebrow. "I mean, I'll have to share my workshop with other lucky students, so I was wondering about them."

Kotoko blinks, then puts a finger on her chin. "Yeah, you're going to share your stuff with other students." She then smiles. "But hey! Look at the bright side, you won't be alone on the workshop like the rest of us!" Looking at him, she continues. "Also, you guys have the same talent, so you can bond over that."

The brunette nods. "Yeah, at least that." Although it might be weird to bond with someone because of how lucky you are. "We are here." Makoto announces and the two turn to face the door in front of them.

Out of all the workshops, Makoto's one was the only one that was out of the campus, being a small room in the courtyard.

"It looks pretty small of a workshop." Kotoko comments, putting her heads behind her back. "I mean, at least compared to mine."

"Yes, it's also out of campus." Makoto agrees. "Well, let's get in then." Approaching the electric lock on the wall, the brunette pulls out his e-Handbook and slides it under the lock.

After a little 'click' sound, Makoto grabs the handle and pushes the door open.

The boy didn't knew what to expect, but it was surprising normal inside there.

It looked like any other club room, with a long table in the middle, some couches on the side and a white board on the back.

"Hello?" Makoto says entering the room followed by Kotoko. "Is anyone here?"

"So you must be the new lucky student." A raspy voice says from their right.

Turning to face the voice, Makoto's eyes meet with the ones from a girl and she didn't look very pleased.

He didn't knew why, but the brunette had a bad feeling about this.
