I took them about a day to find the swamp, but once they had finally arrived, they could tell just by looking at the water that it was poisoned. As they came closer to the edge of the swamp, Linkette scanned the swamp for a way across. After a minute or two of serching, her eyes landed on a path of lily-pads poking out of the water. However, when Linkette and Saria tried to jump on one them, the lily-pads would sink and they would have to scramble back to shore. If they were to have stayed on the lily-pads any longer they would've drowned.
"Oh my StarClan! How the heck are we going to get across if we can't even stay on the lily-pads?" Saria asked Linkette while sighing in frustration. She looked at Tatl for advice.
"What do we do now?" she asked the cream-colored fairy who flew in front of her face.
Tatl shrugged and came to land on top of Linkette's head. "Why not use your fairy form to get across?" the fairy suggested after a few moments of silence.
Linkette nodded her head with a thoughtful look on her face, she then turned her attention to Saria. "And you could use your magic to get across."
Tatl blinked and turned to Linkette in surprise. "Wait what?" she asked, shocked at what the crimson-haired girl had just said. "Your friend has magic?" Linkette nodded.
Saria rolled her eyes and Linkette and Ember giggled. "Weren't you listening when the Great Fairy back in Clock Town called her the Forest Sage?" Tatl blushed in embarrassment and said nothing.
Linkette sighed again and turned her attention back to the purple-colored swampy water. "Enough goofing around!" she scolded her fairy companion. "Let's get across this swamp and go onward from there."

Upon entering the Woodfall Temple Linkette was glad that she was still in fairy form, as they saw Saria would have to use her magic again to make the plants carry her across the chasm to the door, collecting a stray fairy in the air, and one from a chest before making it to the next room with a pool of poison water.
"Ugh! That Stench!" Tatl said. "This place stinks just like that poison swamp!"
"Well the temple was buried under the swamp. What did you expect?" Ember asked, causing Linkette and Saria to giggle and Tatl to blush, and ignore them as they headed down a wooded ramp with Saria getting practice with a sword by killing Deku Baba's, getting a stray fairy from the last one before getting another in a pot across the room after Saria used her powers to take the carnivorous lily pads, and have them carry her over there.
In the next room, they saw a door on the other side that Linkette went into alone while Saria recovered her magic on the central platform. Inside Linkette had to use her fairy form to hide under a leaf of a plant and wait for the snapper to go over it where she changed back sword first so it was impaled on the sword. This revealed a cheat with the Dungeon Map.
Linkette then returned to Saria who had recovered and even gotten a small key from a chest on the side of the room. They then returned to the second room and went through the locked door on the other side, Linkette staying in fairy form for travel over the poisonous water where they saw more poisonous water and found a stray fairy in an empty beehive and another guarded by a skulltula, after they moved a light stone block.
Saria then used a Deku Stick to run a flame from a lit torch to the empty one letting them in the next room, where Linkette took Hylian Form and her and Saria tricked the dragonfly enemies to get close (and not electrocuted) and killed them with their swords, revealing a chest with the Compass.
Back in the previous room, they ran a flame to the empty torch that lead to the floor above and from there to burn down a spiderweb, lettingnthem upstairs.
"Be careful…" Ember and Tatl said together. "I sense a lot of evil here!"
"Really?" Linkette asked changing back to fairy form and shivering at the evil she now sensed. She then turned back to human and took out her sword and helped Saria kill the Black Boes and Deku Baba's in the room revealing a chest with a stray fairy.
They left the room by lighting the torches no longer protected by enemies, and in the next room Saria used her powers to cross to the exit while Linkette used her fairy form to get across, collecting a stray fairy in a bubble on the way. In the next room Saria got a fairy in a bubble before heading to a door with a switch that revealed two ladders to the lower floor.
In the next room they found another stray fairy in an empty beehive and headed to the only other door on the path where they found a Dinolfos.
"Well this will be easy," Saria said. "At least if I use the secret technique Impa told me about in the other timeline."
"Really?" Tatl asked with skepticism. In her tone. "What serve yourself to it?"
"What secret?" Linkette asked flying in front of her.
"You'll see," Ember said, pulling Linkette away as Saria used a Deku Nut to stun the Dinolfos, allowing a free hit, and repeating until it was dead.
"That," Saria smiled at them as a chest with the Hero's Bow appeared as Saria studied it. "You know, I was the one to make the fairy bow you found in the forest temple back home, called that because it could change size to be used by a fairy or Hylian without losing any power. I think I can use the same spell on this to give your fairy form a ranged attack."
"Thank you!" Linkette said trying to hug Saria's face, but only being big enough to hug her nose.
"Your welcome," Saria said before casting the spell, before having to rest again.
Once ready they left with Linkette shooting the eye switch across the room to make the lower platform rise up and down as they travelled to the other side and through the door to the next roo where a gekko was waiting. Linkette used her fairy bow to shoot it twice while Saria distracted it.
It then summoned a giant snapper and started riding it around, only for Saria to use the plants to stop it, sending the gekko flying off where Linkette shot it again, while it tried to hide on the ceiling and walls. This repeated until it was defeated turning back into a frog, and unlocking the door to a small room with the boss key. After they finished they headed back to the switch that revealed the ladders and Linkette used the bow to shoot through a fire to light the empty torch on the deactivated windmill, activating it, and somehow cleaning the water of poison before getting a stray fairy from the chest revealed by a switch next to an empty torch they had to light to open the next room. In that room they found the last four stray fairies in bubbles while looking for the closest plant to the boss room to get Saria over there, and enter with Li kette taking human form.
Upon entering they heard a strange sound as a tall tribal blade dancer with a body covered in tattoos dropped down from above, wielding a gigantic sword several times the size of Linkette, and Saria. This was Odolwa.
Knowing they couldn't be hit by a sword that size if they wanted to stay living, Saria used the plants to first trip Odolwa then tie him down while Linkette hit his weak point on the back of his head over and over.
They had almost won when Odolwa managed to get free, and went after Saria for tying him up with plants. This caused Saria to freeze only for Ember and a newly transformed into her fairy form Linkette to fly in front of his face.
"HEY LISTEN!" they shouted trying to be as annoying as Navi could sometimes be as Odolwa flinched, causing him to trip again landing with his weak point right in front of Saria who recovered and used her sword to finish him off.
"You two are crazy!" Tatl said seeing what they had done.
"Had to help Saria somehow," Ember said landing on Saria's head.
"And we couldn't stop him before he got to her, so we tried to distract him the most effective way we knew how." Linkette added landing next to Ember, and pausing. "Wow Saria has comfy hair. Also good job Saria."
"Thanks Linkette for both," Saria said as Tatl joined them, before Saria went to collect the mask known as Odolwa's Remains in the exit portal causing them to be sent to a tall tower in the sky.
"What's that?" Tatl said seeing a giant figure in the distance.
"It seems to be saying something," Ember said.
"I can hear it," Saria said. "But I can't understand it."
"Must be because you're not a fairy, I can understand it. It's teaching us some sort of melody," Linkette said taking out the instrument the Ocarina of Time transformed into when Linkette was in fairy form, and learning the Oath to Order. "It's saying call us, so we must have to call them to stop the moon from falling. Especially with their size."
They then returned to the temple in the now cleaned swamp.
"The four people Tael talked about," Tatl said. "Do you think one of them was the spirit that was sealed inside the mask? Now just keep up the pace and save the other three. Hey… all that stuff I did to you. I apologize… sorry, there I apologized! So don't hold it against me okay? Our next stop is the mountains! We've just gotta do something about that Skull Kid!"
They were about to leave when they noticed a female Deku Sprout in a room blocked by vines behind them that Saria removed.
"Whoa! Who are you?" she asked.
"I'm Saria, this is Ember, Linkette, and Tatl." Saria said.
"Pleased to meet you," she replied. "I am the Deku Princess, I thank you for saving me. Now I need to get home before father does something hasty. I would ask you for help getting there, but only Deku Sprouts can enter, and you don't smell like you found a way around that. Plus the fairies are too small to carry me so I'll have to go on my own. Good bye!"
With that she left while Saria, Linkette, Ember and Tatl, decided to return the Stray Fairies to the Fairy Fountain, they passed earlier, meeting the Great Fairy of Wisdom, who doubled their magic meters before they left.
