At this point, we are introduced to not only Treasure Planet, but its many dangers and its marooned inhabitant(s).

In most Treasure Island adaptations, Ben Gunn is the only person alive on the island. But this story shows that Treasure Planet is much more dangerous than in the Disney film.

After the crash, Hopps helped Wilde lift the boat up.

Asha got on her knees and pushed her hair behind her ears. She was dizzy and shaken up from the landing.

Star crawled out from the boat and staggered into Asha's palms.

"Oh, my goodness," said Hopps. "That was more fun than I ever want to have again."

Wilde smiled and chuckled at Hopps' comment.

"Yeah, even though those monsters broke my ribs" groaned the fox.

"Asha," said Hopps. "The map, if you please?"

Asha pulled out the map from her pocket and held it in her palm.

She smiled with relief that it was safe with them and hopefully they could get to the treasure before the pirates.

But with Wilde injured after saving Hopps, there was no way that they were going anywhere.

To make matters worse, the planet seemed alive.

Even with oxygen tanks on, there was heavy toxins that Wilde and Hopps had trouble ignoring.

"The air is no where breathable unless we get to higher ground" Wilde guessed.

"Well, that's not stopping them" Asha remarked, noticing another longboat coming down toward the planet.

And it was in deed the pirates, searching for survivors.

Seeing her family's old friend hurt and the captain refusing to leave him, Asha knew she had to do something.

"Do you wish for me to scout ahead, Captain?" she asked Hopps.

"Yes, just be very careful" replied the rabbit, handing Asha her gun.

"Aye, Captain."

Wilde wanted to come, only to yelp in pain. Hopps had to be the one to examine their own doctor.

Asha took one last look at the adults, and walked away with Star toward the forest to find shelter.

Asha trekked through the jungle, sliding down on a large branch that went downhill with Star following close behind. They walked and looked around the strange desolate planet.

The tall, thin trees were in the shape of giant mushrooms with eyes, and the ground was covered with moss and mini fungi bushes.

Asha stopped walking and turned around.

There were footprints on the ground! Were there more pirates?

She examined them.

The tracks were cold and seemed to count twelve to thirteen humans and one weasel.

"No, they couldn't be Gutt's crew" Asha said to herself. "His crew were mainly animals."

Star gulped as it saw skeletons resting on the trees. It flew to one skeleton with a red cap and a blue striped shirt.

"What is it, Star?" asked Asha.

She gasped at the sight of the skeletons of the crew whose footprints she had examined. They were human, but they been killed sometime between Gutt's last visit and her arrival.

"They looked like they've been eaten and spat out."

The planet is dangerous than what we know now thought Asha, worriedly.

She then noticed shredded, tattered red cloth, broken heeled boots and a destroyed plum feathered hat.

Star circled around the skeletons, nervously.

Within the bushes, something popped out and examined the unsuspecting Asha.

The young girl stopped and heard a rustling sound in the bushes.

She turned around to see the bushes rattling and realized that she was being watched.

Asha warned Star to be quiet, took out her pistol, powered it up, and cautiously walked towards the bushes.

The cautious Asha peered down in the bushes, wanting to see what was hiding in them.

Suddenly, a one eyed weasel jumped out of nowhere and landed on Asha, knocking her down.

"Whoa! Who or what are you?!" she panicked.

"Buck" the weasel responded, examining Asha.

"Huh?"

"The name's Buck. Short for Buckminster. Long for Buh."

Buck tried to peek under Asha's dress, but she kicked him away.

"Don't you know anything about privacy?" snapped Asha.

Buck ignored her and decided to examine Star, making the little star uncomfortable.

"Rather light" he said, before turning to Asha. "What are you doing here?"

"My crew and I are seeking for shelter" the human girl replied.

"You mean there's more of you?"

"Yes, a rabbit and a fox."

Buck laughed in surprise.

"Good one" snorted the one eye weasel.

Asha cocked an eyebrow at Buck as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Begging your pardon, girl" he said. "It's just I've been marooned for so long. I mean, solitude's great."

"For Heaven's sakes after a hundred or so years, you totally lost your mind" Asha remarked.

"Ah, yes. After I married a pineapple. An ugly pineapple. Ah, but I loved her."

Star circled its finger and made a whistling sound as if to say "cuckoo-cuckoo! cuckoo-cuckoo!"

Asha nodded in agreement.

"Well… it's nice to meet you, Buck" she said, unsurely but kindly. "but Star and I have gotta go."

"Where are you two going?"

"To find a place to hide and there's pirates chasing us."

"Oh, pirates! Don't get me started on pirates! I don't like them."

"I hate them myself. They took my father away and destroyed my mother's home."

But Buck rambled on and on about pirates until he mentioned Captain Gutt.

"This overgrown ape had such a temper!"

Asha halted when the weasel mentioned the infamous pirate captain.

"Wait, wait, wait, you knew Captain Flint?" she asked.

Buck sat by the skeletons and sharpened his giant tooth like knife.

"Well… he was a captain and I was one of his guys, you know the story" he rambled.

"But that means... but wait. But then you gotta know about the treasure?"

"Treasure?"

"Yeah, Gutt's trove? You know, loot of a thousand worlds."

To make Asha's point clear, Star drew a treasure chest full of gold coins on the moss.

Buck was confused, it was either he was not remembering or he thought Asha was crazy.

"I think I remember" said the one eyed weasel. "Treasure! Lots of treasure buried in the centroid of the mechanism."

Asha stepped back, freaking out.

"And there was this big door opening and closing... Captain Gutt wanted to make sure... nobody could ever get to his treasure... so I helped him..."

He suddenly paused.

"That's all I can remember."

Asha and Star groaned.

"Well, do you remember this?" Asha asked again, holding the map.

The weasel sniffed the sphere, trying to find the familiar smell.

But Buck shook his head. "Sorry, I smell nothin'!"

Star shrugged as if to say "it was worth a shot" to Asha.

"Buck, can you at least show us a place where we can stay?" Asha asked.

"I do" he answered. "Now, get your crew and let's go!"

"But what about the skeletons? Whose crew were they?"

"I don't know. Some guy that tried to find the treasure, but the toxins got to them overtime. I believe his name was Captain Brook or Captain Crook. He's the only one alive here."

"Where is he?"

The weasel shrugged his shoulders and walked off.
