I-Expo Tower (Night)

Wolfram began his assault by slamming the floor, causing a tremor that launched all four Pokemon back a few dozen feet. While dazed, none of them took too much damage.

"Keep calm, everyone." Marnie said. "Grimmsnarl, use Bulk Up!" Grimmsnarl flexed its muscles, causing them to double in size. Wolfram responded by slamming a metal tendril down onto the Dark-Type. Thanks to Bulk Up, however, the Pokemon was able to take the hit without fainting. "That was a close one. Everyone, spread out!" Marnie shouted, prompting the Pokemon to split up.

Dominic and Leon's Charizard both took to the air, and Rose's Copperajah briefly retreated to a safer spot on the battlefield.

"Blast Burn!" Dominic yelled.

"Use Fire Blast!" Leon commanded. Both Charizard let loose their fire attacks, landing a direct hit on Wolfram's real body. Angered by the double attack, the villain launched shrapnel at Dominic's Charizard while it was immobile.

"Defend it with Heavy Slam!" Rose shouted. His Copperajah leapt into the air before falling on the shrapnel, canceling out the attack. The Steel-Type then fell to the ground, only to be saved by Leon's Charizard.

"Use Dragon Claw!" Dominic commanded. Using Blast Burn again was too risky until he was sure Wolfram couldn't take advantage of the recoil.

"Fire Blast again!" Leon joined.

"Use Iron Head!" Rose shouted. Fire Blast struck first, with Dragon Claw and Iron Head landing at the same time a split-second after Leon's attack.

Furious, Wolfram tried crushing all three of them with a giant tendril of metal. "Grimmsnarl, use Darkest Lariat!" Marnie shouted. Her Pokemon jumped up high, then struck the tendril with both arms. The tendril shattered, but sent Grimmsnarl shooting into the ground. Marnie rushed over to her partner to see it knocked out. "Thank you Grimmsnarl, you saved everyone." she said, calling back her Pokemon. She then got out another Dusk Ball. "Moltres, your turn!" She threw the ball into the air, releasing a bird Pokemon covered in an evil aura.

"Rose, can you help keep Charizard safe during its recharge?" Dominic asked.

"Of course." Rose responded.

"Then let's try this again. Blast Burn now!" Dominic shouted, prompting Charizard to land behind Copperajah and use its Ultimate Move again. The attack hit Wolfram dead-on, and before he could counterattack, Marnie stepped in.

"Moltres, use Fiery Wrath!" she yelled. The Legendary Pokemon's wings spread wide as it fired its wicked aura at its opponent. The sudden feeling of fatigue made Wolfram too tired to launch a counterattack.

"My turn!" Leon said. "Charizard, use Solar Beam!" Charizard gathered solar energy from the night sky before firing a beam of pure light, striking the metal behemoth while he couldn't move.

"We aren't getting anywhere like this." Dominic noticed. "We can hurt him, but at this rate, our Pokemon will run out of energy before we can beat him."

"Dominic, take this!" Leon shouted, throwing something for the boy to catch. The blonde looked in his hand to see a Dynamax Band. "It's the prototype Professor Shield and Chairman Rose were working on! Use it to Gigantamax Charizard!"

'Gigantamax?' Dominic thought to himself. Using Dynamax would be a tremendous help in this battle. "But it won't work here!"

"Trust me, it will!" Leon said, holding out an Ultra Ball.

Understanding what the man meant, Dominic turned to face his partner. "Charizard, are you ready?" The Flame Pokemon turned back to its trainer, but before it could respond, a tendril of metal slapped it out of the way. "CHARIZARD!" Dominic cried out. From where he was standing, he could already tell that Charizard was unable to battle further. "You did your best." the boy said, calling back his Pokemon. As he pocketed the Poke Ball, he got out a Cherish Ball. With a deep breath, he threw it into the air and released one of his strongest Pokemon.

When the ball opened, a gigantic skeletal dragon appeared, clad in crimson light. In its chest was a glowing core, and its body appeared to shine like the stars in the sky.

"Ohoho! You're so screwed now!" Marnie shouted. She'd seen this Pokemon in battle before when Dominic battled against Leon for the first time. Its name was forever etched into Galar's history because of how it impacted the region. The Legendary Pokemon.

Eternatus.

The Gigantic Pokemon roared, causing Galar Particles to spread into the air and into the ground. "Eternatus, are you ready?" Dominic asked, to which the Legendary Pokemon responded with a soft growl. Smiling, Dominic placed the Dynamax Band on his wrist and raised his arm to the sky. "Eternatus, the time for Eternamax..." Dynamax energy flowed from the band and directly into Eternatus' core. The Pokemon roared as it flew into the sky until it was completely shrouded by dark clouds. "IS NOW!" Dominic finished.

The sky began to rage, throwing bolts of scarlet lightning that scorched the battlefield. Sensing the danger this new opponent posed, Wolfram launched several tendrils of metal to pierce through Eternatus' body. His attack landed, causing the clouds to disperse. When they did, Wolfram saw that Eternamax Eternatus was completely unharmed.

"Use Max Flare!" Dominic shouted, grinning madly. Flames gathered around Eternatus' face before it launched a giant ball of fire at its opponent. Wolfram tried defending himself with a wall of thick steel, but Max Flare still did immense damage due to the heat alone. As an aftereffect, the sunlight from the night sky intensified.

"Use Solar Beam!" Leon commanded. Charizard absorbed solar energy and blasted Wolfram with a beam of light far stronger than the one that came before.

"Follow up with Max Ooze!" Dominic yelled. Eternatus shot the ground with globs of sludge, forming a vast sea of poison that crashed against Wolfram's metal body. The poison then formed pillars of liquid that rose up to strike the villain's true body. As an aftereffect, Charizard, Copperajah, Moltres, and Eternatus gained a power boost.

"Moltres, use Fiery Wrath!" Marnie shouted. The Malevolent Pokemon once again fired its aura at Wolfram, engulfing him in fatigue. Unfortunately, he didn't flinch this time.

"Okay, end the show with Max Wyrmwind!" Dominic commanded. Purple energy swirled around Eternatus before it was fired at its opponent, forming a gigantic tornado that violently beat him before dispersing. As an aftereffect, Wolfram was slightly weakened. Eternatus then returned to its normal form, spreading Galar Particles with Eternamax Eternatus' disappearance. 'Looks like the same rules apply for Eternamax.' Dominic learned. Eternamax Eternatus could only last 3 turns.

"Dominic, now!" Marnie yelled. Understanding what she meant, the boy gave the command.

"Eternatus, use Eternabeam!" the Champion shouted. Eternatus flew close to Wolfram and changed into its Eternamax form before firing several beams of infinite energy. It took everything Wolfram had to keep himself from succumbing to the attack. When the onslaught finally ended, Eternatus returned to its normal form and breathed heavily, exhausted.

In that moment of weakness, Wolfram formed tendrils of steel that grabbed Eternatus. He then slammed the Legendary Pokemon into the ground repeatedly. Eventually, Eternatus passed out from a combination of fatigue and the pain.

"I'm sorry." Dominic said, calling back his Pokemon.

"As a hero, I cannot stand by any longer while my students fight my battles." All Might said, determined. He jumped forward, evading Wolfram's attacks until he was face-to-face with the villain.

"Not yet, Symbol Of Peace!" Wolfram yelled, grabbing the hero by the neck. It was time to use that gift his benefactor gave him.
