Come Stay A While

By SMYGO4EVA

Willow sat down at the trunk of the tallest tree she could find, exhausted from the school day. In her tiredness, she didn't notice Skara sitting just a few feet away from her.

"Oh, I'm sorry, is this your spot?" Willow stammered. She then began to stand up away from the other girl. "I can find another place to sit down."

"Huh? Oh no, it's alright," Skara said. "I just felt like sitting here, is all"

"I really don't mind, I can find another spot to rest at—"

"Relax, it's alright, really."

There was a small pause, and Willow sat back down, with Skara smiling slightly.

"I'm not going to play a mean trick on you, or anything," Skara replied. "I'm reading this cool new book, and I just had to get started."

Willow moved closer to Skara, who held the book in her hands. "Hmm, may I?"

Skara nodded, and she gave Willow space to read next to her.

"It still bleeds. Ooh, sounds ominous!" Willow said aloud.

"And mysterious." Skara replied. "Let's keep reading."

"Okay." Willow agreed, and she and Skara began to read the pages of the book, together.

(A/N: This was my first time writing for The Owl House, so forgive me if there are some character inconsistencies.)
