Midoriya was on the edge of a building, looking at the horizon, watching the city lights shine bright into the silent night. He didn't recognize the place, in fact he couldn't quite remember how he got there.

He just has a lingering feeling, one that has been by his side, ever since his destiny got written on the pedestal of lost dreams. When his hope of becoming hero were shattered for the first time. Moreover, he often had the chance to shut down that part of himself, his brightest moments would overshadow the dark ones, but this time he couldn't fight it. His shadows were surrounding every inch of his body and soon he would not be able to withstand it.

So he was there on the edge of the building ready to end it all, the pain, the false hope, the longing dream to become a hero.

Only the night would be witness of this madness, only the moon would be his companion as he falls into the abyss.

As his fingers slide along the railing gently, no longer feeling the cold metal, the door was abruptly open as one of his friends screamed in despair his name. Midoriya stopped his actions, grasping the handle again unconsciously, yet he didn't move from that edge.

-Midoriya... Midoriya, please come down, would you get off the roof?... everybody is worried about you... we care Midoriya... please come down-

Midoriya recognized that voice.

He couldn't see Todoroki in the eyes, it would just show the desperation of salvation. He had no intentions on letting his friends be involved in this situation, after all it wasn't fair.

But then again nothing was fair in this world.

Todoroki was scared, in a sense, he lacked the cognition for this type of setting, he just wanted Midoriya to be safe, to come down to that warm sentiment that both shared.

He sighed, he really wasn't the best person for the job, but he'll do it for Midoriya. The battle that was about to commence was just one of the many riddles in this ill-fated world called life.

-Midoriya listen... whatever is going on in that head of yours I can't control, I can't imagine the guilt you must been feeling... but listen Midoriya this is not your fault... you don't have to resource to this because you can be a hero too... no that's not it... YOU ARE A HERO MIDORIYA! YOU ARE MY HERO!-

Midoriya found meaning within those words. Acceptance.

Why is that?

Was he forgetting something important?

He kept his eyes glued into the city, such a big place and a big world. Such irony when we think we're the biggest thing of them all, when in reality we can't be more than a mere peck in a world full of stardust. On paper it was just disgusting, how many people have died and been killed over the days, nevertheless the world kept moving in that sweet air of comfort.

As his mind wonders into the distance, Todoroki kept calling out to him.

-Listen, Midoriya, I care about you, more than I care for my own life so if you go I'm going. Jump and I'm jumping, because in truth there's no me without you-

Todoroki got trough Midoriya somehow, as he turned to finally meet the heterochromatic eyes. Todoroki extended his hand, and slowly got close to take Midoriya's, who extended his hesitantly.

-You were hurting all this type, hiding it behind that smile of yours, your pain was the one that moved you onward, because it didn't matter how many disbelieve in you... you just kept moving, Midoriya... you've survived more than this and even if it got to the point where you can't anymore, you are not alone. You have me, you have Uraraka and Iida. Life is an ironic tragedy but its not always that way. And you know it better than anyone because you choose to care for others knowing full well that at the end the hurt one would be you-

Their hand's were inches away from each other, it seemed like Todoroki would get his friend back.

-HA! You really think you deserve to live?-

A third voice reached Midoriya, the voice of his distance past, one that marked his way of being.

-K..Kacchan...-

-Bakugo?-

Todoroki made the attempt of finally joining hands with Midoriya, but once his eyes where imprinted into the third person, he quickly backed off. Taking Todoroki's chance of getting him out, and once again the door was closed. He looked at the same direction as Midoriya, was Bakugo really there?

-Tell me nerd, how much longer will you make us all wait? You have no reason to stay here. You crave the spotlight, but you yourself need salvation. How could you ever expect to become a hero like that... wait right, you can't? Why was that Deku?-

Midoriya stood there as memories from his meaningless creation invaded his now broken spectrum, such as helplessly trying and holding onto a fantasy dream. Remembering the times, where the only thing constant were their insults and bear down over such a useless being.

-Its helpless, Deku, there's nothing for you here now. So end it all now, its a pointless resistance for you-

Midoriya looked back and forth between his two friends. Was he worthy of continuing a life? One that would be fill with regret and guilt, would he be able to withstand the dangers that awaited for the purpose of becoming a hero? He was useless! How could he do something as important as saving someone?

"YOU ARE MY HERO"

Remembering those words gave him a feeling of missing. Like he was forgetting something.

In the end of the day it all came down to jump or not jump, but... what was he forgetting? Why was everything so confusing?

Midoriya laid his head in the handle, it was pounding, it was killing him, an effect at the worst moment possible.

Was he supposed to live in a damned world who took all of his rights and dreams? Or shall he die and see how the next life would come out to be?

-Midoriya... listen to me...- Midoriya locked eyes with Todoroki once more -...you may feel like everything is ending, like there's no purpose and everything is made of conjecture and gloom but you need to find a it, find your purpose, find it and hold onto it, you can't just leave without giving that a try-

-How can you know that?-

-Because my reason to live is you-

Midoriya felt as a path through his mind was open, as he recollected memories of the past, but these instead a reason to stay alive. It wasn't just Todoroki's kindness, it was more than that. His mother's love, All Might and his legacy, his friends support, the missing piece... Was he supposed to trust the new sentiment? Was it all even real?

-Deku, just do it already, you want the attention so just jump-

-Midoriya... please come with me-

-You know you're worthless, and know there's no escaping it-

-Don't listen to your thoughts, Midoriya...-

-Be real and just jump, you dense motherfucker-

-You know you're worth something-

-You're no more than a nerd who doesn't know his place, you'll get killed anyways so do us all a favor and jump-

-You're more than just a mere nerd-

-You know that I'm right nerd, I'm always right... so listen to me, I told you the truth-

-The truth is just how you see things... no one can tell you what your truth is-

-Be done with this now and get out the roof...-

-Be done with this now and jump off the roof..-

-Please Midoriya... can you hear me? I'm talking to you-

-Goddammit bastard... can you hear me? I'm talking to you-

Midoriya stood in the edge of a building, not sure how he ended up there in the first place.

As he wondered in the world of the death, as he walked in the world of the living, in that moment in that roof he had a revelation.

Life might just be an eternal abyss that will never ceases to exist, but there's still hope. A loop... one that will go on because once the feeling holds onto you it doesn't matter how many battles you win, you will never win the war. There's just a way to numb it, a peace treaty between both sides. The only way to actually live in the vast universe we call home.

Midoriya knew... his reason... his way... he'll become a hero... he'll surpass the hardships or die standing. There was still something that unable him from continuing. So he would discovered what that was... he would live.

He wanted to live.

He looks at Todoroki with cristal eyes, he was crying... "You're my hero" he thought. As he started to climb the handle, he missteps and falls.

-MIDORIYA!!-

Todoroki does not hesitate on following, if they had to die they would die together. Todoroki grabs quickly Midoriya's arm and wraps his hands around Midoriya's body. His only job was to ensure Midoriya's safety, he didn't care what happens to him.

-I'm sorry Todoroki... I didn't want to get you or any of the others into this... I... I...-

Midoriya could verily talk since he was sobbing pretty hard, he was falling from a building he didn't knew and he dragged another person with him, he was the worst, maybe he did deserved to die. Todoroki just gave him a little smiles and placed a kiss on his forehead.

-Listen to me Midoriya... this is not your fault, I made a choice... so let's walk together into the unknown... let us heal from the past that's been getting in our way... see the life as a meaning to triumph and see the beauty of this that we call life, because at the end of the day Midoriya... everything comes down...-
