Later on, as Dipper and Mabel were sitting down to have dinner with their parents, Dipper didn't say anything. He wasn't in the mood for talking, he was still upset over what just happened earlier. "Dipper, don't do this to yourself, what happened wasn't your fault" said Mabel. "Nobody is going to hold what happened against you." Dipper didn't say anything, and just walked upstairs.
After she was done eating, Mabel walked upstairs and into the bedroom she shared with Dipper. "Bro bro, don't worry, everything is going to be just fine" said Mabel. "The entire town of Gravity Falls saw my penis, they'll never look at me the same way again, especially Wendy" said Dipper. "She isn't going to feel awkward you, what happened was a total fluke, it won't happen again" said Mabel. Dipper didn't say anything, and just buried himself underneath his covers.
That night, as the family was fast asleep, they were woken up by the sound of police sirens. "Oh God, I really hope the cops catch that guy" said Dipper. "I already had a bad day, and now some law breaker is trying to ruin my night." A police officer then shouted through a bullhorn. "MABEL PINES, YOU ARE UNDER ARREST, COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!" Everyone in the house was horrified when they heard those words. "What?" asked a very shocked Mabel. "What's going on?" "I haven't done anything." "Oh my God, please tell me this is just someone pulling a prank" said Dipper.
Not wanting to piss off the cops, Mabel walked downstairs and slowly opened the front door. Upon seeing several police officers pointing guns at her, Mabel put both hands in the air. "PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD, AND WALK BACKWARDS TOWARDS US!" shouted one of the officers. Mabel did as she was instructed, and was horrified the whole entire time. She was then placed in handcuffs, and her rights were being read to her. "You have the right to remain silent." "Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law". "You have a right to an attorney." "If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you." After being patted down for weapons, she was then put in the back of a police car. Her twin brother and parents could only watch helplessly, as the family member they loved was being driven away. None of them could sleep at all for the rest of the night.
When Dipper turned on the news the next morning, what he found out was not pleasant. Shortly after he and Mabel left Gravity Falls, an expensive first class plane from Puerto Rico was flying into a nearby airport. A missile then hit the airplane, causing it to to catch on fire, and fall short of the airport. It ended up crashing into a passenger train, and everything exploded on impact. Thousands of people were killed, and millions of dollars worth of property damage were destroyed. After doing some investigating, the police were able to find a missile launcher. The fingerprints on the weapon, perfectly matched Mabel's. Now Dipper was even more upset. The person that he had been with since birth, the one he cared about more than anyone else, was now on the verge of spending the rest of her life in prison. He felt as though his life was absolutely ruined.
Authors note: Even if you know full well for a fact that you didn't do anything wrong, you should still do exactly what the police tell you. If you don't, you could get hurt.
I have never been to law school, but I do know this. If a police officer does not read you your miranda rights, the prosecutor can't, for most purposes, use anything the suspect says as evidence against them at trial.
