Ben's battle with 4 members of the Spriggan 12 was about to begin. He was very excited to see more of their magic that he rarely found in Ishgar. Mages of their caliber were also very rare in Ishgar. They can rival God Serena, Ishgar's former strongest mage.
"Show me what you got, motherfuckers." Ben taunted them with his hand.
"Damn cocky bastard. I'll crush that arrogance of yours." Ajeel said, extending his hand towards Ben.
"Ant Lion!" Ajeel shouted before Ben suddenly felt his body being sucked into the ground.
He looked down and saw that the solid ground had turned into sand that sucked things down like an ant lion's nest. Ben had seen this spell before, but the power was far lower than this. The suction of Ajeel's spell was much stronger than the one he faced in the past.
Average mages won't be able to pull their feet out of the sand trap. The bind is so strong that they will be sucked into the pit without any chance to escape. But that's not a problem for Ben who can pull his feet out any time he wanted.
Doing that wouldn't be cool though, so Ben relied on another method to get out. He heated up his feet and spread the heat throughout the sand pit. Then under the surprised eyes of the 4 members of the Spriggan 12, the sand quickly turned into glass starting from Ben's feet and spreading until the border.
Ben easily pulled his feet out because the glass around his feet was still melting because of the heat. He can't leave the pit immediately though because suddenly an explosion went off out of nowhere right in front of his face.
Neinhart used his Blast Magic to produce the explosions. It's a very strong explosion despite having a small effect. The force behind the explosion was enough to badly injure a S-Class mage.
"Hooh, a Blast Magic that doesn't involve fire, how rare." Ben said from inside the dust and smoke.
Ben is just standing there, right in his initial position. His face was covered in dark red fire that protected him from the blast. Even Ben would be injured by that, he's not a invincible fortress that can't get hurt.
Although the blast wasn't strong enough to push Ben away and break his fire mask. As a Sun Magic user, Ben had dealt with too many explosions throughout his life. So even if the explosion was made from a different element, he could easily deal with it.
"That was a good explo-" *BOOM* Ben can't finish his sentence because another explosion went off on his back.
Then some more explosions go off around him for a while. Neinhart didn't want to give Ben any chance to fight back. Wall joined in and fired a lot of missiles combined with electric bullets from a mini rail gun he created on his shoulders.
Their attacks last for a while before they stop. But then, a lot of sand suddenly rises around Ben's location like a storm. The sand then falls on Ben's location and formed a small mountain. Ajeel then pressed the sand until the mountain turned into flat, solid ground.
"Eat that, motherfucker!" Ajeel yelled while raising his middle fingers.
"Sorry, I don't eat sand." Ben said, suddenly appearing right beside Ajeel.
The 4 members of the Spriggan 12 were surprised and jumped away from their spots. He had teleported since Neinhart set off a lot of explosions around him. Although he could defend himself from all their attacks, he didn't want to spend his magic power doing it because he could just get away.
"Aiyoo, why are you getting away from me that fast? I swear I didn't bring a deadly disease with me." Ben jokingly said.
But the 4 don't consider it to be a joke and immediately attack him again. Ben sighed before grinning while moving forward to fight them. But then a loud chirping sound came out of nowhere and Ben suddenly jumped away from his position.
He took out his comm device that looked like a smartphone. On the screen is Mest's face and a green phone symbol on the bottom. He slid the phone symbol and put the smartphone up to his ear.
"Hello?" Ben asked.
"I've completed my task." Mest said through the phone.
"Alright, head to the hideout immediately. I'll finish my job here." Ben nodded.
"Understood." Mest replied before ending the call.
Mest was also in Vistarion right now because Ben asked him to come here. Last year after the Council was attacked by Tartaros, Mest returned to the guild. Almost everyone didn't remember him as Doranbolt because he manipulated their memories.
Makarov was the only one that knew it, or so they thought. Ben wasn't affected by Mest's memory manipulation because he is much stronger than Mest. Besides, his A.I, Quorra can block any kind of mental attack, making Ben completely immune to mental spells.
Without any other choice, Makarov explained everything to Ben. Besides, as a former guild master and Fairy Tail's strongest pillar, Ben has the right to know about it. Ben didn't mind it and accepted Mest easily after confirming that everything Makarov said was true.
For this job, Ben took Mest with him because he had better Teleportation Magic than him. Also, there is a job only Mest can do, so Ben took the guy with him. That job had just been completed, so they will initiate the plan.
"Well, sorry folks, it seems I can't stay here for too long. There's something important I need to do. But don't worry, I will leave you a gift." Ben said as he took out a black lacrima ball.
Ben waved his hand a little while grinning before he disappeared. The black lacrima ball didn't disappear with him though and it fell onto the ground. His disappearances confused the Spriggan 12 and they tried to find him because they think he will launch a surprise attack.
But suddenly, they heard a telepathic call from Zeref. "Get away from that lacrima ball, now!"
The 4 members of the Spriggan 12 were confused, but they still got away from it because their emperor ordered them too. Zeref rushed them because they walked back, so they ran with confused expressions on their faces. It's a good thing that they followed his order, because suddenly, the black lacrima ball exploded. The explosion and fire was black, even the smoke was black.
It wasn't just a strong explosion, it was a massive explosion that covered half of the city. The 4 members of the Spriggan 12 were still caught in the explosion, but they were far away, so they didn't suffer a lot of injuries. Their bodies are also very strong and they were merely flung back by the impact.
"What was that?" Larcade asked.
"I know that, but why was it black and why didn't we just block it?" Larcade asked again.
Zeref suddenly appeared among them and said, "That bomb was constructed from his Sun God Slayer Magic. Even if we did seal that bomb, it would take hours. The bomb would explode before we finished."
"How are you so certain?" Irene asked.
"Because I know him too well. He won't prepare something that could be easily handled. Even Teleportation Magic might not work on him." Zeref answered.
"Do you mean that he might've made it very sensitive to magic? So even a slight amount of magic touching it would trigger an explosion?" Irene questioned.
"There is a very high chance of that being the case. He's so meticulous with everything he does that I'd rather fight Acnologia than him right now." Zeref admitted.
His subordinates were surprised to hear that statement because for years Zeref always said that Acnologia was the biggest threat in this world. But now, he said that Ben was even more dangerous than Acnologia.
But when they think about it, Zeref's statement started to make sense. Even if Ben wasn't as strong as Acnologia, he had the potential to be a lot more dangerous because of his brain. Acnologia only fought with instinct, but Ben can come up with strategies that even Zeref couldn't predict.
The Spriggan 12 are extremely concerned now because they've seen what Ben was capable of. Irene was the most concerned among them because she is a Dragon Slayer just like Ben. Just from watching him, Irene knew that Ben was a human, completely human unlike her and Acnologia.
She knew that Ben used Sun Devil and God Slayer magic to suppress his dragonization. But she still couldn't understand how that was possible. She had searched for the method to become a human again for hundreds of years, but she was never successful.
When she heard about Ben, she immediately researched his method. From that research though, she found out that the rate of success was extremely low if not impossible. If other Slayer mages tried that method, they will 100% die from the clash of their Slayer magic.
That's why Irene said, "He surely is terrifying."
