Newtopia City

Out of the castle and walking through the streets with Lady Olivia, Anne followed beside her, concealed with the cloak the said newt gave her. Thanks to the big hood, long sleeves, and body, the cloak covered most of her body and face so no Amphibian sees her appearance. Right now they've arrived at an area of Newtopia that's stocked with several establishments.

From where they are, Anne can see many of these establishments in view. Supply shops, pet stores, clothing marts, restaurants, you name it. There are also small business carts near the sidewalks that sell fast food, trinkets, and so on. There's also a store that sells handcrafted tails used as either a tool or a prosthetic.

"Huh...This is pretty nice." Thought Anne as she was astounded by the sight of these places...Until she bumped into Olivia. "Hey-" She was suddenly hushed by the blue newt who had pressed her gloved finger against her lips. "What...Gives?" Boonchuy managed to mumble through the finger before being silenced again.

"Anne, keep your voice down." Whispered Olivia who looked around, making sure nobody was close and listening to them. She then looked back at Anne. "May I remind you that you're in public, we don't want to draw any attention!" She gave a serious look to Boonchuy who nodded, whispering back. "Yes, yes...Sorry." Anne then adjusted her hoodie to keep herself hidden. She followed Olivia who entered a jewelry store full of rings, necklaces, brooches, and other items that contain rare gems.

"Anne, come look at his." Said Lady Olivia with a smile as Anne walked over and looked at the jewelry, one of which the former picked up and showed to the latter. "You think this would be great on me?" Boonchuy looked to see Olivia pick up a silver necklace with 5 purple gemstones embedded in it. "Uh...Yeah, it'll look good on you." Anne gave a little smile, earning an equally small blush from the newt who picked another piece of jewelry while holding the necklace.

"What about this one?" Olivia showed Anne a jade green brooch in the shape of a rose with an indigo gemstone implanted in the center. Giving a hum, Anne examined the brooch. "I'd say it's perfect to wear for special occasions." After hearing this, Olivia started to pick another one to potentially purchase.

30 Minutes Later

After a half-hour of expressing her opinions on the jewelry she was shown, Anne started to get bored. She's been waiting for Olivia to finish looking at it all, but she was getting bored waiting. Seeing Olivia was occupied, observing the many expensive items, Anne looked out the window from behind at the other markets and eateries that are in view.

"Mmm...Oh, what the heck." Anne thought before heading to the jewelry store exit. "I won't be gone for long." Back outside in the city, wandering off through the streets, the human in disguise took a look around. While doing so, she noticed a group of Amphibian children, most of which are newts, were running around playing what appears to be Tag. "You're it!" The one from behind shouted to the one in front of him. With a laugh the one that's now, it started to chase his friends with his hands out.

This made Anne chuckle at the sight, reminding her of back home when she was their age. Moving on to avoid any apprehension from those around, she came across a shop full of camping supplies. Entering it, she began to take a brief look around from near the exit, spotting tents, spits, canteens, ropes, and backpacks. Just as she was going to leave, something caught her eye that made her stay a bit more. "Hm?" She begins in thought, seeing what she usually doesn't see on display in stores.

"Huh...They sure have a lot of weapons here."

Yes, all types of weapons are shown. Blunt, sharp, throwing, and even firearms, though they are only a variety of slingshots and crossbows. As cool and amazing as they are, Anne doesn't have any need for them. Other than being out of the forest, Newtopia seems to be full of civilized Amphibians.

Leaving the shop, she resumes looking around before letting out a gasp. Approaching a glass window she looks down in awe. On the other side of the glass, there were several small creatures that resemble puppies and kittens. The only difference is that they have more than one tail, two ears, two eyes, or four legs. Despite this, their extra body parts barely bothered Anne whose eyes glisten from under the cloak.

"Ooh...So cute!" She exclaimed in thought with her hands against the glass, watching as the small kitten and puppy creatures ate or played. She really wanted to take one or a few with her but knows she couldn't. If she did, there's a significant possibility that those in the castle do not condone pets and might become suspicious. Stepping away from the glass, Anne waves bye to the pets and leaves, knowing it's for the best.

Not long after walking away, Anne made it to a store she became the most interested in...Not as most interested in as the pet store but somewhat close. A mart that sells clothes made of the finest materials, such as self-repairable attire sewn by invisible threads or armor made of reinforced steel. "Hmm...I might be stuck here for a while." With a shrug, Anne enters the store. "Might as well see if there's something good."

Meanwhile

Back at the jewelry store still looking around, Olivia spotted another fascinating item. It was a gold chalice, decorated with small blue gemstones around the center body with a single red diamond in the center of them all. "I must buy this." She thought before grasping the pricey cup. "What do you think Anne?" She waited but received no response. "Anne?" She turned and gasped, dropping the chalice, which shattered on the ground.

"Oh no..."

Anne was nowhere in sight, which brought immediate concerns to Olivia, she didn't even hear her walk away or leave the area. "I have to find her and fast." Before leaving, she quickly took out a bag of Coppers and placed it on the counter for the cashier, who was stunned after Lady Olivia broke the chalice. "Sorry." She apologized before running off to look for Anne, thankfully she's going down the same way Boonchuy did.

Reaching where some of these Amphibian kids were playing, Olivia noticed two shoeprints on the ground, both of which are Anne's size. Following them, she reached the supply shop where the tracks entered. Looking around, she noticed what looked like a thin piece of brown string on the ground. Picking it up and looking closely Olivia smiled a little to see it was curly hair, likely belonging to Anne.

Leaving the shop, Olivia continues in the direction she hadn't gone through yet. While walking, she slowed her pace a bit, spotting two handprints on the window of the pet store. Thanks to their size, it was easy for her to tell they belong to Anne. "I'm getting close." Olivia thought while tracking the shoeprints right where they finish.

Meanwhile

Back with Anne in the clothing store, she was in the area selling clothes that look to be around her size, though she hasn't had luck finding the right pair. Most of the clothes she checked were not her type. Not only were they too small, but some of them also had a hole in the back, mostly for Amphibians with tails.

Anne couldn't help but sigh. "Seriously how many pants with holes do they need?" She asked in thought before spotting a category of clothes almost the same size as her, just slightly bigger. Not only that, some of the shirts have long sleeves and pants without any holes at the bottom. "Sweet!" Boonchuy expressed under her breath with a grin, seeing some newts near the area that're missing tails from either a past injury or a rare birth defect.

Making it over to those clothes, she checked a price that was put underneath a pile of shirts that gained her attention. "40 Coppers?" She read quietly with a raised brow. "What are Coppers?" Suddenly she felt something strong grip around her waist before pulling her away. This lasted until she was brought into a changing room. Looking down Anne notices it was a blue tail wrapped around her waist, looking up she sees it was Olivia, who wasn't very happy.

"Uh-hehe...Hi...Cutie?" Anne looked nervous at Olivia who took a deep breath to calm herself. "Anne...Don't wander off like that on me again." She began with a serious tone in her voice. "You could've gotten lost without my guidance. Worse...You could've been exposed by someone if they offered to help..." Olivia paused for a moment, recalling what Anne called her, and advises her. "And don't call me cutie...Especially in public."

Anne chuckled. "Ok, ok, jeez...But you look cute when you're mad." This made Olivia sigh with a blush appearing on her cheeks. "Just stay close to me. If someone sees and exposes you there's no telling what'll happen and how everyone will react. We can't risk it." After hearing this, Boonchuy scowls a bit. "Fine, whatever. I didn't want to be in this world anyway." She crossed her arms and looks away as her expression softens. "I just...Want to go home."

"I know Anne." Olivia nods. "And I'm sorry...But if you want to go home, you have to listen and keep a low profile. If not..." Pausing, the blue newt looks around the changing room. This confused Anne a little until she realized, Olivia was listening cautiously, making sure nobody was eavesdropping on them. After almost a minute of silence and hearing nobody, she tells Boonchuy. "If not, well...There's a reason why Newtopia's shielded by barriers."

Anne doesn't need to be told why this place has a barricade around it. The same day she arrived in the forest not far from here, she witnessed some creatures that were anything but docile. "Ok, fine, I get it." She then asked while looking away. "Can we please finish shopping and go back to the castle?"

It wasn't hard for Olivia to see the sadness in Anne's eyes, even while she was looking away. Placing a hand on her cheek, she gained Anne's attention as she looked at her. "Anne...I know we just met, but I don't want you to be removed by the guards if everyone found out a human was snuck into Newtopia." Olivia informed and shook her head. "They don't know what you are and will assume you're a monster in disguise. Even if you did nothing wrong they won't hesitate."

This made many thoughts come to Anne's mind of what can occur if she were exposed and caught. Would they capture her, run her out of Newtopia, or worse? All of this was making her feel very uneasy to the point she was expressing that uneasiness, which Olivia noticed. "None of that is going to happen to you." She assured as Anne looked at her as she continues. "I'm going to get you back home before any of them knows you're here. I promise that."

"Ok..." Anne raised her hand and applied it to Olivia's cheek and smiled. "Thanks...Cutie." Instead of reminding her not to call her that, Olivia smiled and responds. "Welcome, Anne." The newt then approaches the door. "Since we're already in a clothes store we can get you nice-" Olivia felt a sudden tug that made her stop in place, preventing her from leaving the changing room.

Looking back she sees that her tail is still wrapped around Anne, who stared at the tail with her arms over it. "Anne, let go of my tail." Olivia requested with slight annoyance, only for the human to raise her hands, looking at her. "I'm not holding it. Your tail's kinda...Getting tighter?" To Anne, it feels like a giant snake was trying to squeeze her.

This confused Olivia for a moment before she let out a gasp. Putting down her bag on the changing room bench, she grabbed her tail and tried to pull it free from Anne, but that hardly did anything. Instead the tail increased its strength and tightened a bit more. Letting go out of defeat Lady Olivia felt her tail ease up, returning back to its normal strength, confirming her suspicions as she blushed heavily. Having felt this too Anne looked puzzled, having no idea what was going on.

"Is everything ok?

"Yes...Everything's fine...Just my tail." Olivia responded to Anne. "It's something Newts unintentionally do to those they like, love, or care for." She suddenly covered her mouth, realizing what she said to Anne, who blushed a little and chuckled. "Wow...It's only been almost a day and you already like me?" She teased, earning a glare from Lady Olivia, whose blush reddened as her tail tightened again, surprising Boonchuy.

"No-no it's not!" Olivia began with shock, looking away to hide her blush. Anne tried to speak but was incapable to utter a word, feeling air being squeezed from her lungs. Unfortunately, Lady Olivia wasn't aware of this yet as she shook her head. "I-It's nothing like that! It's just-I'm only..." She glances at Anne for a moment and then looks back, seeing now that she was unconscious.

Realizing her tail had suffocated Anne, Olivia's eyes were wide and her pupils shrunk. "Oh no..." Easing the grip of her tail, she watched as Boonchuy slumped a little. Keeping her composure, Lady Olivia grabbed Anne's arm and applies two of her fingers to her wrist. Seconds passed and feeling nothing, the blue newt began to feel dread. "No-no-no-no-" Suddenly she felt a slow beat, and then another that was slightly faster.

Olivia looked at Anne, seeing she was beginning to breathe, much to her relief. "Oh thank frog..." Olivia muttered, still showing a bit of concern for the human. Anne's alive and breathing but she's still unconscious, if she doesn't wake up the situation will become dire for them. Not wanting to take those chances, Olivia prompted herself to wake her.

Seconds Later

"Anne..." The said human heard a voice calling her name as it calls her again. "Anne..." This time it was clearer and familiar, just enough for Anne to recognize who it was, and started looking around the darkness that surrounds her. "...Olivia?" Suddenly she felt a sudden tremble.

"Wake up!"

Becoming conscious, Anne let out a groan and opened her eyes, only to see a blue blur in her sight. Shaking her head, her vision begins clearing up, and so did the blurriness of her eyesight, revealing Olivia who sighed. "Thank frog you're awake." She then smiled. "For a moment I...Thought..." The blue newt's voice died down as she sees Anne was still squinting and looking around as her sight was wobbling a little.

"Are you ok?" Olivia asked with concern in her tone. Anne focuses on her and before she could give an answer, Olivia raised a hand. "How many fingers am I holding up." She kept three of her fingers up in front of Anne, letting her identify them closely, just enough to determine how many are up.

"...Three. I think?"

Olivia sighed in relief. "Good, I didn't cause any internal damage." After having that thought, she apologizes to Anne. "I am very sorry that happened. I was just...Protecting you. It's why my tail refuses to let go of you." The blue newt blushed from saying this and continues, looking at Anne. "You're one of the few humans..." She paused and corrects herself. "Possibly, the only human here. And I wouldn't forgive myself if I failed to keep you safe."

Anne looked at Olivia, seeing from her expression she was being honest, in fact, what she said isn't wrong. Considering this is a world where Amphibians are the only ones civilized, she's conceivably the only human in this world. This would make her an endangered species...In some way.

"Hey, it's ok. I understand." Anne placed her hand on Olivia's shoulder, getting her attention as she looks up. Giving an assuring yet small smile, Anne continues. "I'm not going to let that happen...Never forgiving yourself I mean. And I'm not going to let anything happen to me under your supervision." She then declared. "From now on, I won't run off on you again. I'll stay close, not run into trouble, and keep myself incognito."

This brought a smile to Olivia. "Thank you." She then looked at her tail which still kept itself coiled around Anne's body, refusing to budge from her. "But...My tail won't let go of you. So...We're going to have to stay like this for a bit until it's ready to release you." In response, Anne shrugs with a smile. "Eh, I don't mind." She then began to rub it with her hands. "It feels so smooth." Suddenly Olivia slapped her hands away from her tail.

"Don't." Warned Olivia with a blush, earning a giggle from Anne who obliged. "Alight fine." After saying this, the two soon walked out of the changing room. Lady Olivia was the first to step out as Anne came out last, following the newt through the clothing store, making sure to keep her face hidden. After doing this, her eyes became wide in amazement underneath the cloak's hoodie. Thanks to Olivia's tail keeping a grip on her, it was so high up that her dress was lifted in the back. This not only revealed the blue newt's blue legs to the human, it almost exposed her undies too.

With a sigh, Anne looks away. "No-no-no...Respect her privacy, Anne. Don't...Look." She thought to herself, but couldn't follow her own thoughts and looked at it again. Suddenly she turned away as Olivia turned and asked happily. "So, what clothes would you like to pick?" Her question surprised Anne a little before she began to look around.

"Hmm...You know...I saw some clothes I like." Anne points in the direction of the clothes she's fond of. "Come." With a nod, Olivia follows Boonchuy, who kept an ease of a walk so she wouldn't pull the newt's tail as go to a part of the store. Once there, Anne immediately picked out the clothes that looked right for her size...And didn't have any holes.

The clothes Anne pulled out were long sleeve gray shirts with a purple and orange shield stitched in front with an N in it, standing for Newtopia. She also had purple pants that had legs that reached her ankles, and thankfully pockets just like the pants back on Earth. And Surprisingly enough, the store sells shoes, which Anne had confirmed from the pair of black boots she was holding.

Examining the articles of clothing Anne picked, Olivia gave a smile and hummed. "Exactly choice...But get some more clothes, you might need them if you're staying here for a while." With a chuckle, Anne nodded to Olivia in agreement before looking through more clothes that are her liking.

Minutes Later

Having picked out the many clothes she would need and making it to the cashier, Olivia began to pay for the clothes, at the same time Anne sighed. "I still can't believe you're being so nice to me." It has been almost more than a day since they met yet Lady Olivia is treating her like a close friend. After exiting the store, Olivia noticed a guard who was patrolling and waved to him, getting his attention before presenting the bags. "Take these back to the castle, please."

With a salute, the guard takes the bags and ran back to the castle with them as Lady Olivia looks back at Anne. "That's because I trust you, Anne. I insist, remember?" She asked, which Boonchuy recalls and lets out a sigh, wondering to herself how she had almost forgotten that. "Yeah, I know. Thanks." She gave a smile as they resume their walk. Soon enough she noticed that there were a couple of newts that were holding each other by their tails. Some even had them wrapped around each other at the waist, which made Anne look down at the blue tail around her waist.

Gently, Anne rubbed Olivia's tail with care and was unable to hold back a smirk when she noticed the blue newt herself was blushing. The human continued to rub the newt's tail as they walk, making her sigh. "Why bother? She acts like a child." Olivia thought before looking at her tail that Anne rubbed. "I'll let it slide...Though, it feels...Nice." She kept her smile, but at some points, they came to a stop as Lady Olivia wanted to take a look at what was on display in some of the jewelry stores.

That all stopped when a sudden grumble vibrated around Olivia's tail. She looked to see it was coming from Anne's stomach as she was hungry, which brought some concern to the newt. "Anne? Are you hungry?" She asked before adding. "You just ate breakfast." Anne chuckled nervously because of this. "Yeah...Sorry, ever since I got here I've been getting really hungry...For some reason?" Suddenly she let out a grunt, holding her stomach which growled again.

To her luck, Olivia noticed they were close to some of the food carts in the area. Pulling Anne close with her tail, she walked over to the cart and began to order the food from it. Curious, Boonchuy looked at the cart and nearly puked in disgust, but managed to hold it in as she asked. "What...Is...That!?" The food the cart was serving looked very off from what she can see.

By appearance, the food looked like hotdogs, at first glance, but when you look past the natural orange-looking buns, it is not. The hotdogs were green, and as for the chili sauce on top of them, they were chunky but very blue. "Those are Hotbugs or in this case. One of the many delicacies in Newtopia." Olivia had answered, gesturing to the food. "They're made from freshly ground Glorious Beetles, and the sauce is made of peppers and Blue Bottle Flies."

Anne looked at the...Hotbugs for a moment and then sighed silently. "Fine, whatever..." She muttered before telling Olivia. "I'll eat it back at the castle." Hearing this, Lady Olivia faced the food cart owner. "We'll have some Hotbugs please." She paid the Amphibian who gave a nod and began getting them Hotbugs, wrapping them up separately and putting them in a bag. He then handed them the bag as Olivia tells Anne quietly. "I understand you're not used to eating insects, but I can guarantee, it's better than it looks."

Looking at the Hotbugs in the cart and back at the bag, Anne smiled a little. "Well...I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it." Hearing this, Olivia opened the bag, letting Anne grab a Hotbug and unwrap it. She didn't waste time and took a bite out of it, eating it. Suddenly her face turned green a little, but she managed to swallow the piece down and managed to keep up her grin, giving a thumbs up. "Y-Yup! It's good..." Olivia couldn't help but giggle from this as she thought. "She's so kind and optimistic."

Soon

Not long after getting the food they got, the two continued their walk through Newtopia. Olivia looked at Anne while gesturing to the bag. "You can continue eating when we head back to the castle. I don't want you to reveal your face by mistake." Boonchuy didn't mind this, for obvious reasons, and nodded. "No problem." Just then they came across an intersection with the lane and an alleyway.

"Hmm...Well, there's no harm in taking a shortcut." Thought Olivia who walked toward the alleyway with Anne following, but expressing slight nervousness. It was a bit dark, but she can see some Amphibians that don't look as nice as the ones she's seen. "Uh...Olivia? Are you sure this place is safe to go through?" She whispered to the newt who turned to her. "Of course it's safe. Newtopia is the safest pla-" Before Olivia can finish, she stopped along with Anne as the path they were going down was blocked by 5 cane toads. From behind 5 rough-skinned newts blocked the way back.

"Well-well-well look what we have here. Two lovely newts strolling in our alley." Said the giant cane toad, looking at the others, including the newts minus Olivia, who backed away and glared. "Their alley?" She questioned in her thought in disapproval and spoke. "I'm Lady Olivia and-"

"Shut it!" The giant toad demanded, clenching his fists and pointing at her. "We don't care who you are pretty! This is our alley and you can't pass unless you pay the toll." He then grinned. "And we accept more than Coppers...If you know what I mean." The Cane Toad licked his lips, eyeing either Anne & Olivia or the bag of Hotbugs with desire, earning chuckles from the other toads and newts.

Looking over at Olivia, Anne can see the look of fear on her face and in her eyes, driving her to find a way to get out of this. Looking around for anything, she noticed a knocked-over garbage can full of greenish-orange mush. As gross as this is, there's no other option, she needs to get Olivia and herself out of here.

Before any of the Amphibians could react around them, Anne swiftly grabs handfuls of the garbage. "Duck!" Olivia listened and crouched as with precision Anne throws the greenish-orange mush at the face of the cane toads before doing the same to the newts. But she didn't just blind them with the garbage as it began to sizzle, revealing to have some sort of hot sauce in it.

"Gah!"

"It's burning my brain!"

"Get it out! Get it out!"

"MY EYES!"

Clapping her hands together to remove the junk mush, Anne quickly picks up Olivia in a bridal manner. "Hold on tight!" In response, Lady Olivia gave a nod as her tail tightened around Anne, who then jumped on top of the big toad before leaping off. She ran fast down the alley as the rough-skinned newts and cane toads cleared their eyes from the mush, revealing their now bloodshot eyes. "After them!" Commanded by the big toad, he and the others chased after the two.

Looking back while running, Anne noticed that the toads and newts were chasing after them. Thankfully from that garbage, she threw at the bad Amphibians, 4 of the 10 couldn't see where they were going. A newt tripped and rolled into a coral tree, a toad ended up crashing into a potted plant of...Whatever it was. And both ended up falling and entangling into each other's arms, legs, and tails. "That messed with their vision more than I thought." Said Anne, which Olivia heard but remained silent.

Seeing this as an advantage, Anne began to make sharp turns, left and right, making it difficult for the rest to follow. This was having the newts and toads either run off course, into an inanimate object or an animate object. Such as carts, buildings, coral plants, and even others who weren't so happy with the sudden shove. The only one that remained was the giant toad, who was showing signs of fatigue, huffing, and wheezing.

"Get...Get back here!" The cane toad demanded, waving his fist in the air before stumbling and falling into a nearby fountain. But Anne didn't stop, she kept running until she and Olivia were completely out of sight. Looking around she spotted a large coral tree against a building, and immediately climbed it with one hand while holding Lady Olivia with the other. About a minute after reaching the top, the two ducked, spotting the group arriving from below.

"Where'd they go?" Asked a rough-skinned newt toward the giant cane toad who answered. "They had to of kept running!" He looked around before pointing at a trail going down a slight slope. "That way! Come on!" They didn't waste time and ran down that path, unaware that they lost Anne and Olivia.

Seeing that the coast was clear, Anne carefully climbed back down with Olivia still in her arms, who she soon put down carefully. "Are you ok?" Anne asked worriedly, at the same time Olivia gasped and began breathing, holding her chest as she nods. "Y-Yes...Thank you." She looked at the human with a smile, assuring she was ok.

Anne smiled back and suggests. "We should head back now." Olivia nods to her as they both return to the castle. While fixing her hood, Anne looked at the blue newt, whose tail is still wrapped around her, and asked. "Who and what were those guys?" Hearing this question made Lady Olivia sigh, knowing she would have to explain to her about those ruffians.

"Those were the Toxicants. They're a group of toads and newts that maintain the most natural and deadliest toxins in Amphibia." Olivia began as she explains. "They were known to travel and linger around to rob and commit other forms of illegal and...Unspeakable activities." She shivered a little at that last part, knowing that could've happened to them.

"I see..." Anne began with a nod before telling her. "Let's keep going." In agreement, Olivia began walking with the human following since her tail is still around her. At the same time, Anne stood close to the blue newt, just to keep her safe. This made Boonchuy question herself in thought. "Keep her safe? Why am I thinking that?"

Minutes Later

Making it back to the castle, Anne made sure her face was hidden in the hoodie of her close as she and Olivia made it back to her bedroom. When they got in Anne happily took off her cloak. "Finally!" She exclaimed as she prepares to leap onto the bed, startling Lady Olivia. "Anne wait my tail-!" It was too late as Anne jumped and landed on the bed back first with a sigh.

That sigh ended as Olivia landed on top of Anne by accident. This made them face each other with a very small opening between them, making Anne chuckle nervously while Olivia blushed and glared at her.

"Sorry..." Anne apologized, earning a sigh from Lady Olivia. "Let's just stand and wait for my tail to let go of you." She gets up while lifting Boonchuy so they can both stand. Olivia goes over and grabs the bag she dropped. "In the meantime..." She opened the bag and placed the Hotbugs on a platter, which rested on top of a fancy tray on a table, except for one which she held. "Eat."

Looking at it and seeing it was the one she tried, Anne grabs it and looks at Olivia's tail before smiling. "Strong tail." She complimented, earning a blush from Lady Olivia who looked away. After that, Boonchuy began to eat her Hotbug, however, it was difficult. Each time she took a bite, she'd have the urge to puke and force herself to swallow. Not because it was bad, but because she was literally eating minced bugs.

"W-Want a bite?" Anne asked, raising what was left of the Hotbug to Olivia, who giggled and raised her hand. "I'm good, thank you. And you still have 7 more Hotbugs to eat." She gestured to the said 7 that were still on the platter. Seeing this was enough to make Anne's face turn completely green.

2 Hours Later

Having finished up the Hotbugs minutes ago and spending a few more minutes keeping them down, Anne was on the bed with Olivia. The latter was sitting on her bed, reading one of her books, waiting for her tail to let go of the former. While it appears they are reading together at first, they are not. Not too long ago Anne had dozed off and fell asleep, laying on the right side of Olivia's bed.

Looking over at Anne in her slumbering state, Olivia couldn't help but smile. The entire time she read her book, not once did the human snore, toss, turn, cry, mumble, or kick in her sleep. "Such a peaceful sleeper." The blue newt then turned to read one more page of the book before closing it a few minutes after. Turning her attention to her tail, Olivia noticed that it had loosened up from Anne's waist and torso.

Carefully and gently, Olivia removed her tail from Anne and gave a sigh of relief, seeing it had not tried to recoil around her again. "Thank frog...Finally." Lady Olivia thought while rubbing her tail, which she questioned quietly. "Why did you have to embarrass me in public like that?" She then paused with an expression that says: What am I doing?

"...Why am I talking to my tail?"

With that thought, Olivia got off her bed and stood up to fix the skirt of her taffeta dress. With it all down she walked out of her bedroom and locked the door from behind to let Anne rest and avoid being spotted by others by mistake. Having made sure the door was locked, Olivia left, walking down the hall to accomplish her duties for the King.
