A Few Hours Later

Waking up and opening her eyes, Anne sat up from the bed and let out a yawn. "Ooooh yeah..." She finished at the end of her yawn with a satisfied smile. "What a great nap." She began to rub her thumb against Olivia's tail, only to feel cloth and her own flesh. "Huh?" She turned and to her shock, Olivia wasn't next to her, in fact, she isn't even in her room. "Cut..." Shaking her head, Anne corrects herself. "Olivia?" She received no answer nor any sound in response.

Getting up from the bed, Anne walked over to the door leading to the guest bedroom she sleeps in. Opening the door and checking, she saw no sign of Olivia there either, making her raise a brow. "Huh...Maybe she went to do her...Job?" After a second, she gave a shrug. "Eh, whatever." She looked down until her waist was in view.

"Though, I miss feeling her tail around-" Anne ceased muttering and shook her head, looking stunned. "Whoa-whoa-no why am I thinking that!? Gross!" She thought with a blush. Shaking off that, she walked over to her bed and sat down before grabbing her backpack. Unzipping one of the zippers, she pulled out her phone. Turning it on, the screen glowed, revealing the time. "3 PM?" Anne scratched her head a little. "Geez, how long did I sleep?" She asked herself, feeling as though she slept less.

Laying down on her bed, she looks up at the ceiling, pondering what to do now. She can't leave the room to explore Newtopia, especially after what happened only hours ago. Turning her head, she spotted the bag containing the clothes Olivia bought for her. "...I forgot about that." Thought Anne before sitting back up. "Might as well try it on." Sitting up, she goes and grabs the bag of new clothes.

Removing her shirt, skirt, and shoes, she began to put on the new clothes. First was her long sleeve gray shirt that has the stitched purple and orange shield in front with an N stitched in the center of it. Second, was her pants which were as purple as her skirt. And last was her black boots, perfect for muddy days.

After getting the new clothes on, Anne walked in front of a mirror and began to take a look at herself in the new attire, humming. "...Not bad." She smiled at this, checking herself out a little more. After that, something came to her mind as she looked down at her hands. The time she spent in the forest, she can recall the dangerous creatures in it, specifically big insects. This along with the cane toads and rough-skinned newts that are roaming or in hiding somewhere in Newtopia.

This all made Anne sigh. "If I'm going to be stuck her for a while, then I need to train in order to defend myself...And protect...Olivia?" That thought made her blush a little before she added. "Afterall...She's my friend." This made her smile as she got down and began to do pushups as a start. Unfortunately due to her arms being feeble, she struggled to do at least one pushup. "Come on-Come on! Just...One...!" Anne pushed herself up until she was able to do one before going down to do another and repeat.

A Few Minutes Later

Despite the drudgery, Anne was able to do a couple of pushups, along with pullups and situps, each one harder than the next. "My arms..." Groaned Anne, now laying on the bed, exhausted. "It's only been a few minutes and my arms hurt...Ugh!" She thought, looking at the ceiling again as her eyes started to get heavy. Slowly, as seconds passed, her eyes began to shut, sealing her sight from everything as she falls asleep.

Later: Anne's Dream

Walking through the hallways of her School, Anne hummed heartily as she stopped at her locker and turned the dial. Opening it, she was surprised when it was immediately shut by her friend, Sasha, who looked annoyed. "Oh...Sasha hey! What's up?" Anne asked, looking a little nervous, due to being afraid around her sometimes.

"You didn't show up last night to the party. Where were you?" Sasha questioned with her arms crossed and a glare. "I-I can explain..." Anne began anxiously. "You see, I was helping my mom at the restaurant. She needed my assistance since-" Her friend cuts her off. "Ok-Ok enough. I don't want to hear your dumb excuses." As she looks down at her phone, Anne let out a sigh.

"Sasha, listen, my mom needed me, I couldn't defy-"

Anne was suddenly pushed hard to the floor by her friend, making her drop her books. "I said I didn't want to hear your excuses!" After repeating, Sasha then told her. "If you don't show up again, there's going to be serious consequences!" Sasha then added with anger in her tone while kicking away her friend's books. "You're pathetic! Weak!"

This left Anne absolutely shocked and spooked by this, watching as Sasha walked away, all the while telling her. "Now get and let's go! Don't make me repeat myself again!" Suddenly Anne started to shake, feeling her own tears leave her eyes and trail down her cheeks. Wiping them away, she slowly picked up her books while getting up. "O-Ok...S-Sasha." She stammered, following Sasha from behind. Some of the students present in the hallway giggled and laughed, pointing fingers at her as she began to sob. Suddenly there was a flash.

Out of the Nightmare: Guest Bedroom

Anne suddenly gasped, having jumped out of her sleep, she sat up, breathing heavily after experiencing that nightmare. It wasn't real...Yet it felt like it was. Looking down at her hands she could see they were shaking out of fear as tears began to trail down her face, for real this time. "I...I can't do this..." Anne muttered as she got off the bed on her hands and feet before crawling into the corner. "I...I want to go home..." She faced the corner and curled up, hugging her legs, shaking as she slightly and quietly cries, repeating to herself.

"I want to go home...I want to go home...I want to go home..."

Meanwhile

In her office sitting at her desk, Olivia read her favorite book. It's rare she uses the office but when she does it's to get some peace and quiet whenever she was alone and on break. Just as she gave a happy sign the door was suddenly kicked open with a slam. "Ah!" Olivia jumped with her heart beating rapidly. Looking at the opening she watched as a figure emerged from it, revealing the General of Newtopia, Yunan Longclaw.

Yunan's a tall newt with white-blonde hair, yellow eyes with black pupils, strawberry-pink skin with a light pink underbelly, and dark red spots on her long tail. She was dressed in Silver Newtopian-Issued Armored with some intricate swirls and a military insignia pinned to the chest and high black boots. On each arm, she has a gauntlet, each containing two long blades that stick out from the back of the hand.

"It is I, General Yunan! Scourge of Sand Wars. Defeater of Ragnar the Wretched. And the youngest-"

"Enough!" Yunan paused as ordered by Lady Olivia. After a moment of silence, a sigh escaped Olivia's lips. "How many times do I have to tell you, not to kick the door like that?" Annoyance was present in her tone, which Yunan ignored, giving a wide smile. "Forgive me, my Lady! But I came to you after hearing about the incident that arose in the city!"

Olivia looked confused until she realized what she meant. Her heart started to race, believing the General might be talking about Anne. "W-What incident?" She asked, trying her best to hide her fear until Yunan held her by the shoulders, now looking concerned. "Are you hurt, my Lady!?" Yunan asked, trying to see if Olivia had a bruise or any other injury on her. "I heard that group of toads and newts tried to hurt you, but you got away! You were saved, thanks to that friend of yours!"

As she smiled wide, Olivia looked relieved at the information and nods. "Yes I-I'm fine, but-" Yunan cuts her off. "Don't worry my Lady, I'll search for those miscreants and bring them to justice!" Yunan declared, adding. "As soon as I meet your friend and congratulate-" Quickly Olivia cuts her off. "No!" She shouted, making Yunan pause again, but this time she looked surprised. Immediately, Olivia cleared her throat. "Sorry...Y-You can't."

"Oh...Why not?" Yunan asked in confusion, making Olivia think of a reasonable excuse. "I uh...It's because...S-She's not from around here." She gave a smile, doing her best to hide her suspense. "And she just left town! She won't be back for...Forever, so yeah." Olivia kept her wide smile, hoping General Yunan bought the lie as she looked at her. "...Oh alright then." She gave a shrug. "I did also hear one of the guards mention your tail was wrapped-"

"Ok-Ok-Ok that's enough!" Olivia walked over and pushed Yunan out of her office. "I'm very busy so I need you to go right now! Bye-Bye!" She then shut the door with her back against it. Hearing General Yunan walk away, Olivia relaxed and kept leaning against the door. "That was close..." She muttered to herself in thought. "I really need to be more careful. I don't want anything bad to happen to Anne if she was to be revealed." Walking over to the window, she looked out it and saw it was noon, which she thought. "Speaking of Anne...I should go check on her." Heading back to the door, she opened it and walked out of the office, heading back to her room.

A Few Minutes Later

Having made it to the door to her room, Olivia unlocked it with her key and opened the door. "Are you awake..." She walked in only to stop, seeing that Anne wasn't on her bed anymore. "Anne?" Olivia looked at the guest bedroom door and opened it, only to see it was empty as well, with no human in sight. "Maybe she's in the bathroom?" She thought, turning her attention to the bathroom door which was closed.

"Should I-" Before she can even decide what to do, she began to hear a light sobbing. This confused Olivia who walked on the other side of the bed and opened the door. It only took a second for her to spot Anne in the corner of the bathroom with her hands on her knees, shaking. She was curled up, facing away from the door, rocking back and forth. This quickly worried Olivia who approached Anne.

"Anne? What's wrong?" Olivia asked softly before facing Anne, which surprised her. Boonchuy's eyes were wide, pupils nearly microscopic, and a traumatized expression on her face, repeating. "I want to go home...I want to go home...I want to go home...I...I need to go home!" She shouted before repeating again, this time saying need instead of want.

It was apparent to the still-worried Olivia that Anne was suffering a mental breakdown...But from what? And how bad was it to make her act like this? Knowing she needed to do something, Olivia sat next to Anne. Slowly and gently brought her into a soothing hug with one hand on her back and the other on top of her head, patting her calmly on the back. This made the human mumble her repeats now as she was being consoled by the blue newt.

"Shhh...It's ok Anne, I'm here...I'm here..."

Olivia soon felt Anne slowly hug her back, now crying on her shoulder, now silencing her own mutters. In return, Olivia used her tail, letting it wrap around Anne until it was around her with care. Her tail brought Anne close to Olivia, letting the latter hold the former closer to her to further comfort her.

3 Hours Later

"Ooh...My head..."

Anne had carefully opened her eyes as she sat up, rubbing her eyes and the back of her head. It didn't take long for her to feel Olivia's tail wrapped around her again. "Wha-?" She looked down at the tail before realizing Olivia was holding her closely. They were on the bed in her bedroom. Though confused and a bit sleepy, Anne remained calm and looked at her Amphibian friend.

"Cu-Olivia?" Anne began, correcting herself again. "What happened?" She asked with a yawn. "I found you in the corner of the bathroom...Crying..." Olivia answered. "You were repeating that you wanted and needed to go back home, so I comforted you." This was enough to help Anne remember what had happened that lead up to this.

"Oh..."

Anne looked away in sadness, hiding her expression from Olivia, who managed to catch a glimpse of it. Lifting Anne up with her tail, and keeping her close, Olivia sat up and next to her on the bed. "Anne...Tell me what's wrong." She asked with concern for her human friend. After a second, Anne looked at her, still expressing unhappiness. "I'm weak..."

"Weak?" Olivia confusedly repeated the word. "Anne, what do you mean?" Anne looked at the ground for a moment before speaking. "After I got here I did exactly what I knew about survival in the wilderness. Yet everything I tried either fell apart or backfired...From the times a creature approached me, I couldn't defend myself. Heck, I couldn't even stay and defend the both of us against those toads and newts in the city." She shook her head in disappointment, now looking at her hands.

"I was weak, and even pathetic, I...I just want to go home! I don't belong here! I didn't even want to come here in the first place!" Anne grabbed her backpack and, with all her strength, throws it against the wall, making Olivia jump a little. After seeing the pack hit the ground, Olivia held Anne in her arms, consoling her again.

"Please calm yourself, Anne." Olivia began. "You're nowhere at fault for those past events, and you're neither of those egregious things you said of yourself." She began to face Anne, telling her as she looked in the eyes. "You survived long enough for me to find you. You saved my life from those criminals...And even averted what could've potentially caused anguish and mayhem throughout Newtopia."

Anne was left surprised by what Olivia had expressed to her. Thinking over what she told her made her realize she was right. After what she's been through and what happened between them and those deadly Amphibians, she proved she wasn't weak, pathetic, or any other negative condition. Anne survived days in that forest with whatever resources she could find, use, and consume. She came up with a way blind the bad Amphibians with no dismay or pity and carried Olivia like nothing for them to escape together. And even stopped them from hurting Olivia in any way.

"Your r-really mean it?"

Olivia nodded. "Of course Anne. Never would I lie about one's courage." This made Anne chuckle. "T-Thanks Olivia..." She gave a sigh of sadness and looks down, gently laying her head on Olivia's chest. "I just wish I could see my parents again...And my friends." Holding her and patting her back, Olivia guarantees. "Anne...We'll do what we can to get you back home and reunite with your friends and family. I promise."

Anne smiled at Olivia. "Thank you." She began to snuggle into the blue newt's arms, feeling cozy with her tail around her hips. At the same time, Olivia returned a smile and blushed, noticing how Anne appreciated being held in her arms. "She looks...Peaceful." She thought, seeing how calm the human was now. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted when she caught a glimpse of a bright glow.

"Hm?" Looking up, Olivia saw that the glow was coming from Anne's backpack on the floor, right from the large opened pouch. "What's that, glowing from your backpack?" Anne stared at her backpack before realizing what she was talking about. "Oh that." Sitting up she grabs her bag and pulls out the source of the light. "It's my phone."

"Uh...Phone?" Olivia tilts her head in bafflement, looking at the rectangular device. "Yeah...It's sort of a way to call and communicate with anyone at any time around the world...Well only on Earth, since there aren't phones here." Anne chuckled when she finished as Olivia kindly took the phone away from her to inspect. "Interesting..."

After checking the back of the phone, Olivia faced the screen to herself and noticed what looked like a black background with a triangle standing on its side. Poking the shape slightly, it along with the background faded to reveal a video. "Gah!" Reacting in shock, Olivia throws the phone to Anne who caught it before holding a pillow. "What was that!?" The blue newt asked as her tail quickly let go of the human and wrapped it around herself.

Anne couldn't help but let out a little laugh. "Hey-Hey, it's okay. It's only a movie. Look." She shows her phone to Olivia, who brings her attention back to the screen with slight caution. She watched as two humans in the video came to view, throwing punches, kicks, and blocks before knocking each other back with a flip. After they landed on their knees, Olivia was left amazed.

"Wha...What am I looking at?" Olivia questioned Anne, who responded. "It's a movie you're watching. It's one of the many sources of entertainment on Earth." Seeing that Olivia was still looking at the movie in awe, Anne giggled before asking. "You want to learn about movies?" Olivia nodded to Anne, who continued. "Tell you what. Wear something comfortable, because we'll watch a movie on here from beginning to end right now."

"Oh, um..." Though bewildered by this...Movie, Olivia gave her a nod. "Sure!" Standing up, she walked out of the guest bedroom back into hers before closing the door behind her. Unaware that the door wasn't closed all the way, Anne looked back at her phone to rewind the movie and get it set. At the same time, Olivia peaks through the small gap between the door and doorframe to look at Anne.

"Man, I can't wait! She's gonna love this..." Anne said to herself before giving a hum. "Just hope she doesn't mind romance." Hearing this made Olivia give a warm smile. "At least she's feeling much better." With that thought in mind, she quietly closed the door completely and prepared herself. Removing her gloves, brooch, and shawl, Olivia grabbed her taffeta dress and pulled it down. Letting the dress drop to the floor, her bra and undies were now exposed.

Going over to her dresser, Olivia opened it and took out a sleeveless green nightdress. Putting it on, the nightdress was only able to reach her thighs, not only that, it was also transparent, leaving her undergarments visible underneath. Approaching her mirror, Olivia began to examine herself in the reflection from front and back. Satisfied, she held her seashell scrunchy and removed it, letting her hair loose before going over to the door leading out to the hallway.

Carefully, Olivia opened the door only a little to see if there was anyone, besides the King, outside in the halls. To her luck, a guard who was on patrol showed up at the right time near her doorway. "Excuse me?" She waved, getting the guard's attention as he approached, and gave a salute as she asked with a pleased grin. "Can you get me a maid?"

Later

Sitting on her bed, Anne waited, looking on her phone through the movies she downloaded while still on Earth. Letting out a happy sigh, she looked up at the wall. "I'm feeling much better now...Olivia really knows how to cheer me up...She's smart, beautiful an..." Anne paused for a moment before giving a grin. "Oh, who am I kidding? She's hot!" Immediately she covered her mouth, realizing she shouted instead of in her thoughts, and glanced towards the door to Olivia's room.

Anne kept her sight on the door, hoping Olivia didn't hear her exclaim that she was hot. After a minute or no response or the door opening, she let out a relieved sigh. "She didn't hear me, thank...Say, where is she anyway?" Anne questioned in thought, noticing the time. "It's been 20 minutes and she's not back yet." Just as she was about to get up, the door opened, revealing Olivia, who was pushing in a cart with food on it.

"Sorry, I'm late." She apologized. "I was waiting for the maid to bring us grub to eat." When Olivia finished with a smile, she noticed Anne was looking at her with wide eyes. It left her confused for a second until she noticed she was looking at her transparent nightdress, making her blush. "Anne...My eyes are up here." She pointed up to her eyes, making Anne gasp at the realization and look away. "Sorry-Sorry!" A blush appeared on her face from embarrassment. "Didn't mean to look at you like that!"

"It's alright Anne." Olivia giggled before admitting. "You look pretty stunning yourself." As she pushed the food cart close, Anne responds. "Oh, uh...Thanks...Glad you like it." She fixes her shirt, sweating a little due to Olivia wearing a nightdress that shows her undergarments underneath. The newt herself sits next to Anne on the bed, looking at her with a smile, causing her to look away.

"Be cool, be cool!" Thought Anne, before speaking to Olivia, trying her best to keep eye contact. "Ok, so the movie we're watching is an action-adventure romance." Pressing start a circle appeared, spinning as Anne places her phone on the cart with the screen facing them. "Trust me, you'll love this." Just then, the movie started to play, allowing the two to watch.

Later

Halfway through watching the movie, Olivia asked several questions about the movie. Questions such as if these were other humans too, those are locations on Earth, why people were fighting, and where they're going. Gladly, Anne was happy to answer all of her questions to help her understand the plot of the movie. After answering all of them, it didn't take long for Anne to realize the food Olivia had brought looked identical to what's sold at theaters.

Popcorn that was as red as a cherry, purple Nachos with cheese and peppers, Corndog bites...Or Cornbug bites since they use bugs for meat here. There was even soda as well, at least what they have close to soda, it's still fizzy, but with a different aroma. While the Nachos and Popcorn have a similar taste to the ones on Earth, the Cornbug bites and Soda weren't.

The bites were sickeningly crunchy like the Hotbugs she had, and the Soda was a bit bitter and slightly slimy. Because of this Anne had to take her time to chew the Cornbugs and sip the Soda to ensure she doesn't vomit during their movie night. Sometimes even having to eat the Popcorn and Nachos to help wash down what was making her gag.

Within an hour the movie nears the end, having shown the couple reuniting after being captured. Taking back the contained artifact taken from the evildoers. And defeating them while decimating their lair. As it was reaching the conclusion, Olivia decided to glance over at Anne to see what she's doing.

When she did, she let out a giggle with a blush, seeing that Anne was checking her out. "She's so cute." Thought Olivia before leaning her head and resting it on Anne's shoulder, surprising her. Olivia then wrapped her tail around the human's waist, earning a smile from her. They remained like that up until the movie made it to the end with the credits rolling.

Turning off her phone and putting it to the side, Anne asked. "Soo...What do you think?" She turned to look at Olivia who gave her answer. "Well...It was fantastic! I really enjoyed the...Movie was it Anne?" Anne nods to her to confirm. "I never knew you humans can make such entertainment like that."

"Yeah." Anne chuckles and continues. "There's a lot of things you don't know about my home...But I'll tell you all about it soon." Seconds after telling Olivia this, she looked down at her hands that were together and then away as she began to frown a little. This didn't go unnoticed by Lady Olivia. "Are you okay?" She asked before guessing and telling her. "I enjoyed the movie, really I-" Anne cuts her off. "No-no, it's not that, I...I just miss my family."

Before Olivia could express anything, Anne spoke. "But...I'll be ok." She gave a grin, to assure the newt just that. Olivia returned a similar yet warm expression before using her tail to bring Anne into a hug. This was shocking to the human who soon returned a hug. "Thank you, for helping me."

After hugging, the two released from each other's arms. "You're welcome, Anne. But..." Olivia placed her hand on Anne's shoulder. "If that were to happen again, I'm here to aid you." This caused Anne to look away with a blush from her obligation to help her. Thinking to herself, she turned back to Olivia. "H-Hey can...Can you stay here with me for tonight? I...Don't want to be alone."

While surprised, Lady Olivia can see Anne doesn't want to be by herself again, especially after what happened just a few hours ago. "Of course Anne." Olivia gave a nod to Anne, much to her relief as she doesn't want to face that nightmare again. "Thank you..." She suddenly felt a familiar feeling and told Olivia. "But, I have to use the restroom." Silence filled the room as Anne looks down. "So..."

Olivia feels taps on her tail and looks to see Anne patting it since it was still wrapped around her. "Oh, sorry!" Gasped Olivia, blushing heavily as she pulled her tail away. "Hey, it's cool dude. Like I said before, I like it." Said Anne, calming Olivia before getting up and heading to the bathroom. Once inside with the door closed, she went over to the sink and sighed before looking at the mirror and then her hands.

"I have to try and train harder tomorrow...I must..." Thought Anne as she started to clutch her hands into fists. "I really need to get stronger in order to defend myself...To defend Olivia." With those thoughts, she turned the sink on and began washing her hands with soap before splashing her face with the water. Once her hands and face were washed, she walked back out of the bathroom.

Later at Night

In bed, Olivia was sleeping peacefully, facing away from Anne who is wide awake and unable to go back to sleep. She let out a sigh of disappointment because of this. "Huh?" Suddenly she felt something wrap around her waist, making her look down at her midsection. As suspected, it was Olivia's tail. Looking over at her, Anne noticed that she was still asleep, snoozing calmly.

With a smile, Anne began to rub the tail and whispered. "Thank you." For some reason, Olivia's tail was giving her consolation by doing this. Soon enough, Anne felt her eyelids become heavy and in seconds close shut, causing her to fall into a deep yet peaceful sleep. After a minute or two passed, Olivia, revealed to be awake, looked over at her with a pleased expression. "You're welcome." She whispered softly before shutting her eyes, going back to sleep.
