More fire...more destruction...seaborn everywhere...the smell of death in the air. Yua was running through the chaos, but every direction she turned, more and more seaborn appeared, and their numbers were multiplying. Drawing her sword, she felt herself being surrounded by seaborn. She raised it and looked for her first target. One of the monstrosities lunged at Yua, and she cut it in half using all her strength.

Another one did the same and met the fate of its kin. More and more seaborn kept attacking Yua, and for every one she defeated, another one took its place. Eventually, fatigue set in, and she took a knee; Yua could no longer defend herself. One of the seaborn lunged at her and struck...

"AHHHH!" Yua screamed. Waking up in a cold sweat, Yua struggled to breathe; the nightmare felt all too real. Yua was experiencing a full-blown panic attack, and she desperately needed help. Remembering that Hoshiguma was only a few doors away, Yua got up out of her bed and made her way toward Hoshiguma's room.

Hearing loud banging outside, Hoshiguma was woken up from her slumber. "Who on Terra is doing that at this time in the morning?" she thought. Getting more and more annoyed as the banging continued, she shouted, "All right, all right! I'm coming, calm down!" Getting up out of her bed, she headed to the door, ready to chew out whoever was causing the commotion.

The desire to chew out whoever was responsible died however when she opened the door, Yua was there and she looked absolutely horrible; the girl was sweating profusely and she was struggling to breathe. Forgetting her annoyance, Hoshiguma asked Yua, "Yua, what's going on? Are you okay?" The poor girl tried getting her words out, but with the way she was struggling to breathe, she couldn't say anything.

Yua felt lightheaded; she felt it was getting harder to stay upright. Her vision started to go blurry, and Hoshiguma could see the girl about to collapse. She caught her before she hit the floor. Seeing that Yua was about to pass out, Hoshiguma picked her up and started taking her to the nearest medical center. "Stay with me, Yua," she said. "I'm going to get you some help!" was the last thing Yua heard before she passed out.

After an unknown amount of time, Yua eventually came too. The first thing she saw was a white ceiling; turning her head to the side, she noticed a green-haired oni sitting in a chair, her eyes shut. "Hoshiguma?" she thought, remembering what had happened as best she could and realising Hoshiguma must have carried her to a medical center.

Noticing the young girl waking up, Hoshiguma opened her eyes and saw her. When she saw her awake, Hoshiguma asked, "Yua, are you okay? What happened this morning?" Yua remembered the nightmare she had; it felt so real. Knowing she could trust Hoshiguma, she simply told her, "It was a nightmare. It felt so real. I thought I was going to die." Leaving out the part about the seaborn.

After she had told her the two of them heard footsteps entering the medical center, when both occupants turned their heads towards the sounds they saw two people; Doctor Kal'tsit and Doctor Gavial. With both Doctors here, Doctor Kal'tsit ushered Hoshiguma outside with her while Doctor Gavial went to check on Yua.

Once outside Kal'tsit asked Hoshiguma "What happened with the girl? Do you know why she ended up in that state?" Hoshiguma replied "She said she had a nightmare." "Interesting," Kal'tsit thought. "For a nightmare to cause this she must have been through quite a trauma; what are you hiding girl?" This girl had really piqued Kal'tsit's interest, she had to find out what she was hiding, but doubted she would get her answers directly from Yua.

Kal'tsit saw an opportunity however, knowing that Yua trusted Hoshiguma she could use her to get answers from the girl. Instead of asking Hoshiguma to get answers from Yua, Kal'tsit decided to give Hoshiguma an offer. "Hoshiguma, I see potential in this girl, rather than have her go through a combat test with Dobermann, why don't you be her mentor?"

Hoshiguma was incredibly puzzled by this, why would Kal'tsit ask her to be this young girl's mentor? Did she really see that much potential in Yua or did Kal'tsit have ulterior motives? Whatever the reason, Hoshiguma really did like Yua, and she wanted her to succeed as an operator; seeing this as a benefit, Hoshiguma replied, "I accept to be her mentor, Doctor Kal'tsit." Nodding at this, Kal'tsit accepted Hoshiguma's answer, "Good, hopefully Yua will tell her eventually, I will find out your secrets, girl." Kal'tsit thought to herself.

While this was going on, the lung was being examined by Doctor Gavial. Doctor Gavial spoke to Yua. "Hoshiguma brought you here early this morning; you were passed out in her arms. Mind telling me what happened?" Yua explained that she had a really bad nightmare, like with Hoshiguma she left out the part about the seaborn. Gavial realized that it must have been a panic attack she suffered, and a bad one at that. Thankfully, she had something to help her with that. Going to a nearby medical drawer, she pulled out two boxes and presented them to Yua.

"Here are some stimulants and sleeping pills; they should help you with panic attacks and your sleeping." Taking the boxes given to her Yua thanked Doctor Gavial. After this, Doctor Kal'tsit and Hoshiguma returned to the office. Hoshiguma paused for a moment before telling Yua what she had discussed with Kal'tsit, "I have something to tell you Yua. I'm going to be your mentor; Doctor Kal'tsit recommended it."

Yua was confused, she couldn't understand why Kal'tsit wanted Hoshiguma to be her mentor. Did Doctor Kal'tsit really have high hopes for her? She didn't mind being taught by one of her surrogate aunts. Seeing no reason to object, Yua replied, "I would be honored to be your student, Hoshiguma. I look forward to it." Hoshiguma then said, "Right, as soon as you are well enough, we will begin your training, understood?"

Yua nodded; she couldn't wait to be taught by Hoshiguma. When she was in a good enough state, she would give it everything, she had to for the future.
