A/N: Just a heads up, the next couple of chapters are going to have some heavy, dark moments. But just like in DBZ and MHA, the darkness is always proceeded by the light, and good will always prevail.
I hope you enjoy this chapter.
Review responses at the end.
Opening Song:
"Mukoku," by My First Story
A moment before Gohan died, before darkness of the truest kind, unending and cold enveloped over him like a coroner's blanket, his life flashed before his eyes in a single instant. Images and feelings, really; nothing more than still moments of his life condensed into one singular moment.
Ochaco's warm hand in his, and the sweet scent of her scalp under his chin; the smell of books that flooded UA High's hallways; the warmth of the sun and the chill of the wind on his face as he rode on the Nimbus Cloud over Namek City; the shade of Mister Piccolo and Nail's shadows; the flood of relief he felt when he saved a life in danger; His mother's hand brushing his cheek, kissing him good-night; the tender weight of Goten when he was a toddler, riding on his back as they played outside; the fresh scent of the early morning dew covering the Son Farm in Mount Paozu; his father's boyish, cheerful smile…
Mom… Goten… I'm so sorry, was Gohan's last thought as his vision darkened. I love you both so much…
A thick, black curtain veiled Gohan's vision and with a final sigh, Gohan died.
In the Squall Zone, Tokoyami and Koda were fighting their way towards the entrance. Light flooded in from the Zone's destroyed roof, where Gohan had just saved them with the Dragon Fist. The snowstorm had finally ceased, and the exit was in sight. Dark Shadow's gargantuan arm slammed into three ice villains, pinning them against a wall and knocking them out as the two boys raced past them.
It was only when Tokoyami looked over his bloodied shoulder that he noticed that Koda wasn't running behind him anymore. The bulky teen had slowed to a stop, holding a hand to his chest.
"Koda!" Tokoyami called through breathless gasps, sliding to a stop on the snowy ground and running back to the yellow suited teen. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
Koda whimpered and stumbled forward, throwing a hand in front of him to support himself against the wall. He looked up at Tokoyami with haunted, tearful eyes, his lips trembling with emotion.
Tokoyami felt a chill run down his spine.
"What happened?" He asked, placing a hand on Koda's shoulder.
It's Gohan… Koda's voice sobbed inside Tokoyami's head through their telepathic Anivoice link. Tears overflooded his eyes and rolled down his cheeks. He's… gone.
CHAPTER THIRTY – THE USJ INCIDENT III: MARKED BY FATE
Ochaco watched helplessly as Gohan's lifeless body fell back on the ground, his eyes glued onto the ceiling, staring at something far away. His fingers and the tips of his toes twitched and his mouth opened in a silent gasp.
"GOHAN!" She heard herself shrieking in that surreal moment. "GOHAAAAN!"
The boy that had caught her in his arms when they had first met so long ago, the caring and warm, inteligent and sometimes airheaded at the same time, strong-willed, indestructible and vulnerable best friend she had shared so many memories with in the short six months since they'd known each other, the guy that she'd admittedly started having newfound romantic feelings for, the beautiful soul that had so much life and optimism for the future just an hour ago… was gone.
He was gone.
"You…" Ochaco heard herself screech, turning her attention to the masked villain. The creature stood over Gohan's body, unmoving, staring down at Gohan.
"YOU!" Ochaco roared through gritted teeth, her voice breaking. Enraged tears sprang to her eyes and rolled down her pink cheeks. The air picked up around her, whipping her hair under her helmet violently. "YOU TOOK MY GOHAN!"
"Uraraka! Stay back!" Eraser grunted, but Ochaco was already flying towards Nomu with one arm reared back. Her left palm grazed Nomu's black cloak, and a flash of pink showered over him, canceling out his weight. Nomu glanced up in surprise as Ochaco's punch landed on his mask.
"RELEASE!" She shouted as her fist connected. The rushing pull of gravity amplified the force of Ochaco's punch and Nomu was sent hurtling back with a wounded howl, crashing into a pillar of the Squall Zone, knocking it down on top of him.
Nomu burst out of the debris, vaporizing it with a ki blast and looked up. Ochaco was floating high up above him with a dozen large pieces of debris, steel, and wall suspended and floating, highlighted by the pink aura of her Quirk. The sparkling pink aura sizzled and Ochaco let out a gutteral roar as she brought her hands together, tears streaming down her reddened eyes.
"RELEASE!" The heavy debris rained down on Nomu, pinning him back down to the floor and piling up on top of him.
Shigaraki stared in horror as his prized creation was buried alive under the rubble.
"No! Nomu, get out of there!" He shouted.
Ochaco landed next to the pile of rubble and picked up a wall, activating her Quirk on it and flying back up into the sky with it.
"This is for Gohan!" She yelled, lifting the wall high above her head. "AAAAHHHHHHH!"
With a scream, she plunged back down towards Nomu, intent on smashing the wall over his head.
A bright blue beam of light lanced out from the rubble and vaporized the wall she was holding. Ochaco glanced up in surprise to see a bright scarlet light form around Nomu. With herculean strength, Nomu burst out of the rubble in full flight, straight towards Ochaco. Before she could even register what was happening, Nomu punched her through the wall she was carrying. Ochaco roared in pain as her body broke through the wall. Nomu was already waiting on the other side and he kicked the girl back down to the ground.
The black boot smashed into Ochaco's helmet, shattering it and sending the girl crashing back down to the ground, sliding to a stop at Shigaraki's feet.
"Well, well, now. What have we here?" Shigaraki laughed, stepping up to Ochaco. Ochaco coughed violently, unbuckling her chin strap and tossing the broken helmet to the side. She tried to pick herself up, but legs wouldn't move.
My legs! She groaned, feeling an unnatural warmth running up her right leg. Something had definitely broken. Shigaraki's shadow cast over her and she tilted her head to look up at him.She shot a hand out to touch the villain with her fingertips. Without warning, Shigaraki kicked her in the stomach, hard.
Ochaco cried out in pain and rolled over several times to land on her back, clutching at her stomach, stoking Shigaraki's bloodlust. He walked up to her again and stomped a red shoe on Ochaco's cheek and leaned down, supporting his elbows on his knee to look her in the eyes. Uraraka couldn't bear to look into those hideous, soulless red eyes.
"Hey, I recognize you!" Shigaraki squealed excitedly, the corners of his mouth rising and pulling back on his patchy, pale skin. Ochaco coiled back, repulsed by the nightmarish villain's disgusting, hot breath. "You're one of the brats that took down my Majin at the Marketplace this morning, aren't ya?"
"I'm not…" Ochaco grunted, gasping for air under Shigaraki's shoe. "...scared of you!"
"Oh yeah?" Shigaraki's voice dropped down to a low, vicious growl. His trembling hands reached up to his neck and began to scratch away so hard that he drew blood.
"Not scared of me, she says? No?!" He wound his leg back and kicked Ochaco across the face. "Well, you should be!"
Ochaco howled in pain as the kick rolled her onto her back.
"Your little boyfriend wasn't afraid either, was he?" Shigaraki kicked her in the stomach again and again, enraged foam spewing out of his mouth. "And now look where that got him!"
Ochaco was several feet away from Gohan's still body. Breathlessly, she ignored the throbbing pain from her body and flipped over onto her belly, crawling towards him with her elbows, dragging her broken leg behind. Her head was spinning and her eyes were half opened.
Shigaraki laughed.
"Oh, I hope you kissed your parents good-bye," He walked up to her and dropped to his haunches. "Because when I'm done with the both of you, they won't even have a body to bury!"
Before she could reach Gohan's body, Ochaco's head slumped down, exhausted, as Shigaraki opened his palms and moved towards her. Her eyes unfocused and finally closed as Shigaraki moved in to kill her.
A deafening explosion erupted from the entrance behind them, kicking up a plume of dust. Everyone glanced up to see the giant figure emerge. His blonde hair was swept back in a mullet, except for two spiky bangs that stood straight up.
Every massive step he took echoed down to the plaza. Standing in front of the villains was the unmistakable Symbol of Peace, All Might, dressed in his yellow pin striped suit and white shirt.
The students that had made it to the entrance, Sato, Shoji, Jiro and Kaminari stared up at their champion, unable to contain tears of joy and relief as he passed them.
"Have no fear, students," All Might growled. "You're safe now, because I am here."
"Hey now!" Shigaraki laughed, brushing his ugly gnarled fingers through Ochaco's hair. "Took you long enough. Too bad, you're not fast-"
A flash of white light blurred past Shigaraki and by the time he blinked again, Ochaco, Aizawa and Eighteen had been carried off to safety, by the entrance. Ochaco groaned and Shoji picked her up and carried her to safety behind some rocks.
"Rest, Uraraka," Shoji said, setting her down and making a makeshift cast for her broken leg with some fabric and debris. "We're safe now."
"You were saying?" All Might taunted, turning to Shigaraki.
"Wow! All Might in the flesh," Shigaraki clasped his hands, rising to his fist. "You really are so cool. But not fast enough. One of your kittens has met a most unfortunate end."
All Might turned to see the direction in which the villain was pointing and gasped. Gohan laid motionless behind Nomu, who had risen to stand over his body.
"What have you done?!" All Might bellowed. His worst fear had been realized. Gohan, his student, the happy child of his best friend, was gone - and for all of his years of service and fame as the Symbol of Peace and Justice, there was nothing that he could've done to save him. "No! Gohan!" He dashed forward, but Nomu kicked him away, landing in front of Gohan's body again.
"Get the hell outta my way, you bastard!" All might shouted and swung at Nomu, who simply caught his fist in his hand.
Shigaraki cackled with glee.
"Yes!" He squealed. "That's exactly the pained, humiliated reaction I wanted to see from you before you died. All Might, let me introduce you to the bioengineered Anti-Symbol of Peace. His name is Nomu, and he's going to kill you."
All Might thrust his free fist forward, but Nomu caught it too. All Might pulled back and slammed his forehead on Nomu's mask. The Nomu stumbled back, pulling All Might with him and delivering his own head but across All Might's wide skull. The mask reverberated with a metallic hum and All Might was knocked back.
Blood trickled down All Might's pointed nose, but he wiped it with his thumb and leaped back up to his feet. The only thing he cared about was retrieving Gohan's body.
But no matter how much he tried to get past the masked villain, Nomu was just too powerful. All Might growled in anger, slamming a fist on the ground.
"You better hurry up, All Might," Shigaraki taunted. "You failed one student, but you still have time to save the others. If my soldiers haven't taken them out already, that is."
"No!" All Might bellowed. "Your rampage ends NOW!"
Nomu swung a hand forward and All Might caught it, spinning him around wildly and punching him so hard that Nomu flew several miles in the opposite direction. But when All Might turned towards Gohan's body, Nomu had reappeared in front of it with a blur of light.
Nomu's fist cracked against All Might's chiseled jaw. It was such a powerful blow that All Might stumbled back, seeing stars for a moment. All Might shook his head and swung an arm forward, striking Nomu in the chest.
The two fighters then jumped at each other, unleashing a flurry of punches at each other. A powerful gust of wind picked up around the two brawlers as their blows sped up to blinding speed. Slowly but surely, Nomu began to push All Might back. All Might felt a twinge of pain shoot up from his abdomen to his mouth, filling his tongue with the iron taste of his blood. He was nearing his limit now.
And to his dismay, Nomu looked like he was just getting warmed up. But still, he couldn't give up now. He had to press on beyond his limits, for the sake of his students and his friends. He needed to retrieve Gohan's body. The boy deserved to be laid to rest beside his father, at least.
Suddenly, it seemed like he was sinking. He glanced down to see a warp gate opening beneath his feet. Disengaging from his toe to toe stance with Nomu, All Might leaped back. Nomu followed and All Might unleashed a gust of wind force that smashed into Nomu and sent him falling back to the ground.
All Might landed nimbly on his feet, ready for the next assault.
"Cheap tricks and sneak attacks, villain? And here I thought you were so proud of your little toy for being able to fight me alone."
"It does seem as if you two are pretty evenly matched," Shigaraki commented. "How about a level up, Nomu? Time to take things seriously. Time to kill the Symbol of Peace."
(...)
In the fire zone, Ojiro somersaulted forward through the smoke-filled air and landed on the burning hot asphalt, rolling on his shoulder and leaping back up to his feet. Mercenary Tao was relentless. He charged straight at him through the smoke. Ojiro wrapped his tail around Toru and jumped into flight. As he ascended, Ojiro swung his hand forward. Several blasts of light shot out of his palm, but Tao stomped on the ground, kicking up a manhole cover and jumped up to ride on it in pursuit of Ojiro.
As the blasts reached him, Tao easily sliced through them with his bare hands, rising up to meet Ojiro in the air.
"You desecrate that sacred Gi with that damned Triclops' symbol stamped on it!" Mercenary Tao bellowed, leaping off the manhole cover and striking his fists out at Ojiro with incredible speed. Ojiro managed to block or parry the first three strikes before Tao swung a leg out, connecting the bridge of his foot with Ojiro's chin and kicking at his chest with his right, sending the tailed boy reeling back.
Tao backflipped and hooked his left leg around a flag pole, securing his hold on it with his right boot.
"Hmph," Tao grunted. "One look at that appendage hanging from your lower back and I can tell – the only thing weaker than his laughable teachings are his students!"
"Don't you dare talk about Master Tien that way, Tao!" Ojiro yelled back. His hands balled into fists and the air picked up around him, vibrating violently. "He's the greatest teacher a pupil could ask for. And even though I still have a long way to go, I'm far from the useless little boy you and Master Shen gave up on all those years ago. You'll see! I'll show you the fruits of my labor!"
Tao laughed.
"Come and show me then, boy," Tao taunted, leaping forward off the flag pole to meet him. At the last possible second, Ojiro swung his tail around to his side.
"Toru, now!" Ojiro called, swinging his hands together over his forehead. "SOLAR FLARE!"
"Warp refraction!" Hagakure shouted. "Say Cheese, Gramps!"
The light from Ojiro's attack, amplified by Hagakure's reflective Quirk overwhelmed the Tao, blinding him instantly. He howled with surprise and rage, and his eyes burned with the sting of involuntary tears. Ojiro swung a leg up, kicking Tao in the chin and spun, delivering a sharp blow with his heel over the top of Tao's head, sending him flying back down to the ground. At the same time, three of Ojiro's clones ran out from the tops of the buildings and jumped on top of the blinded villain, pummeling him on the ground as Ojiro flew away with Hagakure safely tucked in his tail.
"Woo-hoo! I hope that hurt, ya slimy old geezer!" Hagakure taunted, shaking a fist at the merc.
"Hey, don't call him that!" Ojiro said. "It's rude!"
"So what? Gramps talks a big game, but he can't even fly!"
"That's… a fair point," Ojiro laughed.
With his tail securely wrapped around Hagakure's tiny waist, Ojiro floated them both down to the ground, hiding behind a large chunk of rubble. As soon as they touched down, Ojiro weakly unwrapped his tail and slumped to the floor, panting.
"Ojiro, are you alright?" Hagakure asked, concerned. She dropped down to her knees beside the tailed boy and removed one of her gloves. Ojiro tensed up as soon as he felt the back of her hand press against his forehead.
"OMG! You're burning up, dude! Here, drink this – it's not exactly cool, but it'll help," she yelled, reaching into the invisible bag she was wearing and producing a warm bottle of water, handing it over to Ojiro. "We can't keep moving like this. We should find shelter and hide for a while!"
"Thanks, Hagakure," Ojiro panted and took the water bottle, his face streaming with feverish sweat. "It's just the heat. I have an advantage in air, but the higher I rise, the hotter it gets. I'll be fine. Besides, I can't just run and hide. I have to help the others."
He took a long gulp of the warm water. It was hot and nauseating to drink, but it satiated his thirst for the meantime. He crushed the plastic bottle in his hand.
"That's what Gohan would do," he said, wiping his wet lips with the yellow sleeve of his Crane School gi. "No matter how many times he gets knocked down, he keeps getting back up, right?"
"Yeah, but isn't that because of his Quirk?" Hagakure said, worriedly. "You said it yourself. He's a Saiyan. The more he gets hurt, the stronger he gets, right?"
Ojiro smiled.
"Heh. That's what they say about Saiyans. But no, that's not it. Gohan's different. You've noticed it, haven't you? He's kind and noble; tenacious and brave. As long as someone is in need, he finds the strength to keep getting back up. I learned this when we faced him in the Combat Trials, when we got our Z-Class Licenses, and when we faced off against the League's Declaration of War. Gohan's a real Hero, Toru. And I'm going to be just like him."
He stood up and swiped the sweat off his forehead with his clenched fist.
"After all, I'm a Z-Fighter too, right?" He laughed, wincing in pain.
Wow! Mashirao is so cool, Toru sighed, grateful that nobody else could see her blushing face as she stared at Ojiro.
Back in the center of the Fire zone, just a couple of blocks away, Yurin wrestled one of Ojiro's clones to ground and straddled herself on top of his lap, pinning him to the ground with one hand and producing a razor sharp kunai in her other. Yurin laughed maniacally, stabbing the clone with several swift strokes, until the clone stopped struggling and his arms fell limply to the ground. After a few seconds, the clone disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"That's three down," Yurin smiled dreamily at the bloodied kunai. "Ahh, this is so much fun!"
Yurin took off running, passing by Tao, who had managed to retake the advantage against the clones. Yurin sprinted past him and ran up a ramp overlooking a major road and down below, she spotted Ojiro, kneeling down next to a pair of floating gloves.
Yurin leaped off the ramp, bringing back the glistening Kunai.
Before Yurin could land the killing blow on Ojiro's back, a warp gate opened up in front of her and swallowed her up. She landed with a thud in the main plaza. Several villains littered the broken floor around her, unconscious.
Tomura Shigaraki was pacing around with his hands behind his back, watching as Nomu and All Might clashed at the center of the plaza.
"Hey! What the hell did you bring me back for?" She bellowed at Shigaraki, swinging her bloodied sleeve around angrily. "I had him!"
"I need you to wake up the fallen Majin," Shigaraki hissed. "These damned brats are much stronger than we thought, and our forces are going to need the Majin's help to take them out before they have a chance to regroup and help All Might."
"WHAT?!" Yurin howled. Her teeth gnashed together and she let out a whiny, angry yell. "Ooh, fine! I'll re-energize them, but then you better send me back to finish off Mashi!"
"Don't give me orders, woman!" Shigaraki roared. "I'm in charge here, don't you forget that!"
Yurin gritted her teeth but turned away from Shigaraki's wild eyes.
"Soldiers of the League!" She shouted. "To me!"
Nomu blasted All Might away and turned towards his master.
"Rise, my beloved Majin!" Yurin yelled, lifting her palms towards Nomu and the downed Majin. "RISE!"
"She's got a Majin Quirk! But then that means-" All Might's eyes widened and shifted over to Gohan's body.
"No, stop!" He shouted at Yurin, jumping to his feet. "You don't know what evil you're about to unleash! STOP!"
But Yurin ignored him. Tiny orbs of white light shot out of her palms and enveloped the fallen villains, who began to stir and grunt. With newfound energy, the dozens of mind-controlled villains picked themselves up, surrounding All Might. Nomu himself gave off a roar, unleashing a bright red aura with his renewed strength.
Some of the orbs landed on Gohan's body and were instantly absorbed through his nostrils.
"NOOOOOOO!" All Might yelled as Gohan stirred. His eyelids flew open, his pale dead eyes brightening with scarlet life.

ARMY OF VILLAINS COMPOUND
ALDERAN CITY
EIGHT YEARS AGO…
Seven year old Gohan whimpered as All for One slammed a well polished shoe on top of Piccolo's head. A fountain of purple blood rushed out of Piccolo's severed right arm, but it wouldn't regenerate anymore. All for One had just taken his Quirk.
"Stop! Please!" Gohan pleaded. "You're hurting him! Mister Piccolo can't heal without his Quirk!"
"Sorry, but no. Mister Piccolo here needs to learn a lesson," All for One laughed. "Never bite the hand the feeds."
"You… knew all along, didn't you?" Piccolo grunted under Shigaraki's shoe.
"Of course I knew," All for One scoffed. "From the moment you introduced this child into my compound, I knew you meant to overthrow me. The grandson of my greatest enemy, Bardock. Nothing would bring me greater joy than to destroy this cursed bloodline of monkeys once and for all… and yet…"
He passed a hand over the boy's bowl-cut hair.
"I think I have better use for him…"
"What are you planning to do, you sick bastard!" Piccolo growled.
"I really admire your eye for raw talent," All for One chuckled. "It would be a shame to see such a powerful, gifted young man die before his time, when that power of his could be put to better use."
"I swear!" Piccolo shouted. "If you lay one finger on him."
"I have neither the time nor the patience for idle threats," All for One said, coldly, holding a finger up and pointing it at Piccolo. "Die."
"NO!" Gohan shouted, falling to his knees. "Please don't kill Mister Piccolo. I'll do anything that you ask!"
"Anything, you say?" All for One smiled. "Gohan, in this life, there are two types of people – those that rule and those meant to be ruled. Why live like a farmer, when you are a god among men? No. You must follow me. Accept my Mark and become my servant. I promise, I am a generous master. It's the only way you can save your friends… your family. You will have riches beyond compare, not to mention power beyond your wildest dreams. Your family won't have to suffer anymore. You will be a god among men. And you can have it all," All for One extended a hand out to Gohan. "If you will only kneel."
Gohan's gaze shot between All for One's extended hand to Piccolo's eyes.
"Don't listen to him, Gohan!" Piccolo grunted, his pupils dilating as he came to and out of consciousness. "Your Dad and All Might are coming for you. You have… to run!"
"Mister Piccolo…" Gohan cried, taking a step back. His tiny shoulders heaved with every sob and his eyes were wide with fear. His long black bowl-shaped hair quivered with his trembling shoulders.
All for One sighed.
"Oh well," he shrugged and pointed a finger back down to Piccolo's head. "It seems like your little friend doesn't value your life after all, Piccolo. But who can blame him? You're nothing but a monster after all."
Piccolo grunted and managed to smile at Gohan.
"I… can live with that," he laughed.
"No," the white-haired Shigaraki said, pointing his fingers at Piccolo's back. "You won't."
Red tendrils shot out of his fingers, slicing into Piccolo and burying into his flesh, deeply. Piccolo roared with pain as the tendrils began to flash.
"Stop it," Gohan whispered, eyes wide with terror. He lifted his tiny hands up towards Shigaraki. "Stop hurting him, please!"
"It's too late now, boy!" All for One shouted over Piccolo's blood-curdling screams. "Your friend's going to die – and it's all your fault!"
"NOOOO!" Gohan sobbed, falling to his knees, covering Piccolo's face protectively. "Stop it, please! Okay… I'll do it. I'll do what you ask. I'll accept your Mark."
"Gohan… No!" Piccolo shouted. "Why did you do that?!"
"Because," Gohan sobbed, tears rolling down his eyes. "You're my friend."
Suddenly, a painful, piercing sensation gripped Gohan's head and he fell back screaming.
"AAAHAHAHAHA!" All for One cackled, watching the boy writhe in pain. A black M burned into the boy's forehead and underlined his eyes.
"All for One!" A loud voice boomed in the distance.
All for One turned to glance outside of the large glass window at the motley crew of heroes flying barreling straight towards them.
"Great," he sighed. "He is here."
Outside of the black tower, All Might shot straight towards them, followed by Goku, Vegeta, Krillin, Tien, Bulma, Edgeshot, Crimson Riot and Gran Torino. Police cars squealed to a halt outside, surrounding the compound, and Bulma's mechanized drones flew in, firing upon the compound below.
But it was too late. All for One had what he wanted – an indestructible weapon that would bring about the end of Hero Society.
It was over.
Gohan's screams stopped and his hands fell to his side. The boy floated to the ground to stand behind his new master. Thick black lines underlined his eyes and the Majin Mark blazed in Gohan's forehead.
"GOHAN!" Piccolo yelled, reaching out to the boy.
"Do you understand now, you traitor?" Shigaraki cackled. "I win. It should have been you standing by my side at the precipice of my grand victory. But don't worry, I'll make sure to put your delicious healing Quirk to good use!"
"Win… win?" Piccolo coughed out blood, slipping out of consciousness. "No… now you lose… EVERYTHING!"
"Watch as your successor destroys your finely laid plans. Kill them, my boy!" All for One howled victoriously, like a proud father, pointing to the approaching heroes, including Gohan's father. "The Heroes… the Police… the Civilians. Kill them all and fulfill your destiny as my successor! Rise up and tell the world what you are!"

THE USJ,
MAIN PLAZA
PRESENT TIME
"I am a Soldier of the Army of Villains," Gohan said, absentmindedly. His body slowly lifted into flight, like a rag puppet. Gohan cried out in agony as the stylized black Mark began to trace over his forehead. The dust around him began to kick up. "When my Master calls- Nrrrrrahhhh! I… obey."
"Gohan – NO!" Ojiro shouted and leaped forward, but the warp gate closed just before he could reach it. Ojiro landed on the burning asphalt road with a grunt. Ignoring the sting of fresh cuts, Ojiro pushed himself up, but the warp gate was already gone.
Back in the main plaza, Tomura stared in awe.
"Oh? What's this?" he hissed. "It looks like a supporting character has just joined our party! Ohh, this is perfect! SIMPLY PERFECT! AHAHAHAHAHA!"
Gohan's power swirled around him in the form of a thick black and red aura. His hands tightened into fists and his body began to rise in flight. As his Majin powers manifested, his wounds began to close back up, his torn muscles and broken body began to heal itself.
The class stared in horror as Gohan's dead body was reanimated before their very eyes. Gohan's dead eyes opened, staring up at the ceiling at the full moon and the stars shining through the hole in the roof. Shoji tightened his hold over Ochaco protectively.
"Gohan!" All Might yelled, jumping towards him, but Nomu tackled him to the floor, pummeling him with punches.
"Class Rep!" Sato yelled, running off the platform towards him, but he was too far away to reach him in time. Gohan's body rose high into the air, feet pointing downwards, hands opened and extended out.
"I am a Soldier of the Army of Villains. When my Master calls, I obey. I exist only… to kneel…" Gohan stopped, blinking several times. As the Majin Mark's power coursed through his body, healing every broken bone, tendon and muscle in his body, an itch started from the base of his skull, little more than a twinge of heat, at first.
Gradually, the heat began to spread across Gohan's neck, and an ugly red rash shot out from the base of his scalp. At first it began to itch, then it began to burn.
Gohan's breathing became shallow and desperate, and his hands reached up to claw at the rash spreading down his back.
Guttural growls escaped his mouth, like a wounded, terrified animal as the Majin Mark continued to heal his broken bones.
Shigaraki smiled giddily up at the sight of the teen, unaware of what was happening before his very eyes.
Gohan was screaming now, his fingernails tearing at his flesh in desperation as the itch shot down across his spine and towards his lower back. Soft tissue, collagen fibers and bone marrow in Gohan's spine that had long ago been severed began to regrow, to heal, to reattach, shooting down Gohan's spine in a spiral.
Gohan threw his head back in an animalistic howl as the newly healed Saiyan tail erupted out of his lower back and shot out with a burst of energy that whipped around him, ending the Majin transformation. Gohan's ki swirled around him, lifting up a cloud of dust. With his head reared back, his glowing red eyes staring widely at the full moon's blutz waves, Gohan's body began to transform.
"Ohh, goodie!" Yurin squealed. "I get a new Majin to play with!"
"Hold on," Shigaraki hissed. "This one's different. He's no Majin…"
Gohan's teeth grew into fangs and he snapped them wildly, clutching at his metamorphosing head. His nose and jaws elongated into a leathery snout and light brown fur burst out, covering his entire body. Gohan's ears straightened and elongated to that of an ape's.
Gohan shook violently, growing in size. The monstrous ape that he was transforming into grew and grew and grew, until the tuft of hair at the top of his head brushed the ceiling of the USJ. The creature was several times larger than the one Gohan had faced in the Squall Zone.
In the Mountain Zone, Scarface shot a ki blast from each hand at Todoroki and Yaoyorozu, who leaped out of the way. As soon as he heard the creature's ground-shaking roar, they all turned to see the Great Ape.
"Legendary Oozaru," Scarface whispered to himself, eyes wide with terror. "Decimator of Worlds."
He turned to Todoroki, who was laying on the ground, staring up at the Ape.
"Boy!" he shouted. "Do you know what this means? There's only one Bloodline that can produce an Oozaru this size! He's royalty!"
Todoroki picked himself up and stared at the gargantuan ape. The crest of his father's Royal Family was stamped onto the upper left armor plate of the Ape's Battle Armor.
His eyes widened and he exchanged a panicked look with Yaoyorozu.
"That's Gohan!" They said in unison.
In the Collapse Zone, Videl kicked a villain in the stomach with her knee and grabbed him by the back of his costume, spinning him around and tossing him to Bakugo, who pinned him down to the ground and unleashed an explosion at point blank, knocking him out.
Suddenly, the earth began to shake. Entire buildings that were on the verge of collapse tumbled over.
"What's happening?!" Videl shrieked.
"Some sorta earthquake, or somethin'" Bakugo shouted back. "Come on, let's get the hell outta here!"
Gohan let out an earth-shattering roar that shook the entire USJ building as the towering Oozaru's transformation finished. The Oozaru landed on the ground, cratering it. The mindless Saiyan Ape's rage was powerful enough to overcome the Majin Mark's influence over it's brain.
Shigaraki gasped in realization.
"He's a Saiyan, too!"
"Ooh! I wanna ride him!" Yurin squealed excitedly, running towards the ape with her hands spread out. "Come to Mama, my precious Majin!"
"Wait, you fool!" Shigaraki yelled. "Don't!"
Yurin activated her Quirk, shooting the orbs of light at the Oozaru. The Ape turned his attention to Yurin and roared with furious rage, slamming his fists down on top of her.
Yurin disappeared under the monster's fists. The impact sent a shock wave that blew all of the nearby villains away and knocked down all of the buildings around them.
"RAAAAAAAAH!" The ape reared back with a blood-curdling roar, pounding his enormous fists on his chest and for the first time in a long time, a chill of sheer terror shot down Shigaraki's spine.
"No…!" he whispered. "NO! It's not fair! You cheated, dammit!"
Several meters away, All Might coughed as he set Yurin down safely. Yurin held her hands together on her lap as All Might set her down on the floor. Her red eyes were wide with fear.
"What… is that thing?" She asked, her lips trembling.
"Do you understand what you've done, now?" All Might said, rising to his feet and turning back to face the Oozaru. "That thing is the end of the world, and you just unleashed it upon us all."
Without another word, All Might dashed forward so fast he vanished from Yurin's sight. The girl brought her trembling hands to her chin. She rose to her feet and watched as the Great Ape began to decimate the League of Villains.
Off to All Might's left, Tokoyami and Koda were emerging from the Squall Zone, chased by the ice villains, when Koda screamed, pointing at the giant Ape.
"Get back!" All Might shouted.
The ice villain squad led by the saiyan villian, Shorty, took aim at the monster and opened fire, but the blasts bounced off of the monster's thick hide harmlessly. The Oozaru roared and swatted a hand out with blinding speed. The ice villains didn't even have a chance to escape as the giant simian hand landed on top of them, ending their cries.
As more villains joined the assault on the Oozaru, the Ape reared back, his head shaking. His tail straightened out rigidly and began to pulse. A vibrating purr began to emanate from the Ape's abdomen.
VROOM. VROOM. VROOM. VROOM.
With every pulse, the tail quivered and the Oozaru's belly throbbed.
The villains continued firing at the Ape with all of the firepower they had.
VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! VROOM! VROOM!
All Might's eyes widened, recognizing what was about to happen.
"No!" He yelled, dashing towards the two students. "Everybody run! RUUUUUUUN!
VROOM!VROOM!VROOM!VROOOM!VROOM!VROOM!VROOM!VROOM!
The Oozaru leaned back and shot forward, opening it's mouth wide, unleashing a colossal wave of bright blue fire upon the villains. All Might grabbed Koda and Tokoyami and dashed for the entrance.
"Take cover!" He yelled at Jiro, Kaminari, Shoji and Sato. They all leaped behind the stone pillars that lined the entrance to the USJ.
A handful of villains obeyed All Might's warning, but majority of the League did not. Those that did not listen were instantly vaporized by the creature's fiery blast as it swept through the Main Plaza. The Oozaru shook its head, bringing the scorching flames to bear upon the villains in the other zones.
The students screamed out as the flames burst above them, singing their costumes, but leaving them otherwise unharmed.
The Oozaru's flames finally stopped and it roared triumphantly, beating his chest. In one fell swoop, three quarters of the League of Villains had been completely destroyed, consumed by the flames of the mighty Oozaru.
The Ape looked back down at the scorched plaza. Standing defiantly amid the calcinated remains of the villains was Nomu. The fire had burned off most of the black clothes, and what remained was in scorched tatters. Nomu's arms were crossed over in an X as he stood protectively over Shigaraki.
Shigaraki looked around the plaza. All of the villains that had been standing by his side were gone, reduced to ash in mere seconds.
"NO!NO!NO!NOOO!" Shigaraki hissed, scratching his neck. "It wasn't supposed to be this way! I had no idea they had such an overleveled character in their party! This is a disaster, Nomu! A disaster!"
The Oozaru roared and threw himself into a charge on all fours.
"Nomu!" Shigaraki screamed, picking himself up and running away like a coward. "Get him!"
Nomu's eyes narrowed and he brought his fists up by his side.
"Kaioken TIMES-" but the Oozaru's massive fist landed on top of him before he could finish transforming.
Nomu lifted his hands and caught the Ape's fist, but the Oozaru overpowered him and pummeled him to the ground. Before Nomu could get back up, the Oozaru grabbed him and threw him up into the air with his right hand and snapped his left fist out, crashing it against Nomu and sending him flying back.
The dozen or so Namekian Majin that Yurin had sent to terrorize the Shipwreck zone flocked around the Oozaru, but the Ape swiped most of them with one hand and brought them into his snout, chewed them up and swallowed them.
Yurin stared up in horror as her Majin were eaten alive by the unstoppable beast. It was clear that this creature was indomible and unstoppable. In less than a minute, it had completely destroyed the League of Villains. She needed to run while she still had the chance.
"Nomu!" she shouted. The masked Saiyan picked himself up and took off flying towards her, but the Ape's massive elbow slammed into him, pinning him on the ground.
"Noooo!" She sobbed. "Not my Nomu!"
She glanced around at the remaining villains, who were dropping like flies before the Saiyan Ape.
"Tambourine!" Yurin called. One of the surviving winged Namekians heard her call and flew down to pick her up. Yurin jumped in his arms and the Namekian flew them out of the USJ with its master unharmed.
This isn't over! Yurin sobbed. I will be back. And I will have my revenge!
Nomu picked himself up on trembling arms. He looked up at the Great Ape, who was eating the last of the Majin Namekians. He brought two fingers up to his forehead and vanished, reappearing near the Ape's left ear. He whipped a mighty kick that did little more than annoy the creature.
The Ape roared and swatted at him again, but Nomu began to vanish and reappear again and again, appearing in random places around the Ape, finally appearing underneath him. An orb of bright blue light had been growing in the palms of his hands, and now it was ready to unleash.
Kaioken KAMEHAMEHA!" Nomu shouted. "TIMES TEN!"
A red tint bathed the blue ki blast as it shot out of Nomu's palms and lanced out at the creature, but the Ape reared its head back and answered with a fiery ki blast of its own that repelled Nomu's powerful Kamehameha and sent it spiraling back.
Nomu screamed as his body was engulfed by the fire of both ki blasts, twisting unnaturally in the fiery light before getting sent flying back, burying further into the ground. The Oozaru pounced on top of Nomu and began to pummel him with his fists.
Sato glanced up from his hiding spot and cheered, lifting an arm into the air.
"Alright!" he cheered. "Way to go, Gohan! Teach that guy a lesson!"
"That's not Gohan anymore," All Might said, clenching his jaw. "He's transformed into a vicious creature that only acts on instinct, and whose only instinct is to destroy. After he's done with the villains, he'll come after us, and then he will unleash his rage on the world."
Jiro gasped.
"But, sir, that's Gohan in there! Isn't there anything we can do to get him to see what he's doing?"
"The only way we can stop him is to cut off his tail," All Might said. "But you'll be dead before you can even get close. The only other way is to wait for the moon to set and the sun to rise, but by then, it will be too late. You saw what he was capable of in three minutes. Want to wait around and find out what he can do in eight hours?"
"There must be something we can do!" Shoji said, holding Uraraka close to his back in a net created by his multi arms.
"I will face down this threat and buy you enough time for you to escape," All Might said. "You all need to get out of here and run as fast as you can. There is nothing more we can do."
The six students glanced at each other worriedly.
Koda gulped and stood up bravely.
"Yes there is," he said.
"YOU CAN TALK?!" Jiro shouted, surprised and angry at the same time.
"Young Koda-" All Might began.
"Gohan is my friend," Koda said. "He saved me so many times and showed me that he's a real hero. Now, it's my turn."
"Yes, but what do you mean?" All Might asked. "Gohan's mind is gone."
"No, it isn't," Koda shook his head. "Gohan's still in there. I can feel it. He's scared and confused, and he's lashing out, but I can help him."
He turned to Tokoyami.
"We both can," Koda said, and Tokoyami nodded. "But we're going to need Uraraka's help."
"Ochaco's too hurt right now," Shoji protested. "Besides, why's she so important?"
"Because," Koda said. "She's his best friend. If any of us can reach him and pull him out of this state, it's her."
"It's too risky," All Might shook his head. "You'll be putting yourself in danger. I can't allow it."
"I'll be fine," Ochaco said, standing to her feet. "It's like Koda says. Who saves the heroes that need saving? Gohan needs me right now. I'm going to save him."
Up ahead, the Ape was jumping on top of Nomu's body, crushing down on him with all of his weight. As soon as the Majin Mark would heal his broken bones and ruptured organs, the Ape's weight would simply destroy them again. Nomu's gargling screams could be heard across from the plaza towards the entrance.
The Ape huffed in a laughing manner and beat his chest victoriously, roaring over his fallen enemy.
Far across the plaza, Koda, Uraraka and Tokoyami bravely stepped forward into the Oozaru's line of sight. Enraged, the Oozaru roared and charged at them. Tokoyami and Ochaco placed a hand on Koda's shoulder and Koda raised his hands in the raging Ape's direction.
Translucent rings of light began to shoot steadily out of Koda's hands and these grew in size as they traveled the distance towards the Ape and enveloped him.
Gohan, Koda said calmly. Please calm down, my friend. You've done enough. But you're putting your friends in danger. We need you to stop, please.
The Ape roared, but his charge slowed to a standstill. It slammed its fists onto the ground in rage and confusion.
Gohan, Tokoyami joined in telepathically through Koda. I know you must be really scared right now. I know what it's like to live with a monster inside you. But you don't have to fear it, Gohan. It had it's moment. Now, let it rest. Be at peace. You don't have to fight it alone anymore.
The creature roared again, but it wasn't a feral, furious roar like before. It was pained and hollow, like a lost animal pleading for help.
Please, Gohan, Ochaco pleaded, her voice reaching the Ape through Koda's Anivoice Link. You saved us. You don't have to fight anymore. You can come back. Don't worry, I'll keep you safe. I won't let them hurt you anymore.
The Ape's nostrils flared and tears flooded his eyes.
Ochaco tapped her chest with her hand and lifted off, flying towards the Ape slowly.
"Uraraka!" All Might shouted, but Koda held up a hand.
The Ape's hot breath came out in huffs that washed over Ochaco as she approached the creature. The Ape stared at her with those terrifying glowing red eyes and lifted up a giant palm on which Ochaco landed. The Ape brought the girl close to his face and sniffed her.
Ochaco walked up and placed a hand on the creature's snout.
"I've got you, sweetheart. Please come back to me," She pleaded, her eyes filling with tears. "I love you, Gohan."
Her tears landed softly on the Ape's snout and rolled down into the creature's tongue.
"O… cha… co…" The Ape uttered. Ochaco gasped and looked back up. The nightmarish red glow in the Ape's eyes vanished, revealing Gohan's dark pupils. Slowly, the Ape began to shrink in size and the ghoulish Apelike features began to recede, as did Gohan's brown fur.
As the Ape reverted back into its base form, it took a step back as his body became smaller and smaller. Ochaco caught Gohan in her arms as he transformed back into himself and slowly floated him down to the ground.
The students around them all rushed over to help Gohan, who, despite being completely healed by the Majin Mark, would not wake up.
"We did it," Ochaco breathed, falling back. Shoji caught her again and held her up gently. "We saved the world!"
"Holy shit," All Might heaved a sigh. So he can control it, unlike back then, when he was just a kid… But is it worth the risk? No, we have to remove the tail before he has a chance to transform again.
All Might moved forward to grab ahold of Gohan's new tail, when something moved, catching his attention. A few yards away, Nomu picked himself up off the ground. The students stepped back nervously as the creature stood, facing away from them.
"You, the one called Nomu," All Might called out, his mighty voice booming off of the debris around them. "Your little League of Villains has been beaten and the police will be here any second now. Stand down."
Nomu turned, ripping the tattered cloak off and throwing it into the wind. Five spiky bangs of black hair immediately bounced up from under the hood, leaning to Nomu's right, followed by three smaller bangs that stuck out to the left side of Nomu's head.
Without the bulky cloak and the ridiculous cape, Nomu's frame became much more slender. Strong, well toned muscles in his neck, back, chest and arms bulged from under the black bodysuit as Nomu stood to his full height. He was nowhere near as tall as All Might, but Nomu had a fair height to him, about as tall as Aizawa, perhaps.
Nomu turned back to face him, and All Might gasped in horror.
His deep blue eyes watered and he took a step back, holding his breath in.
"No…" All Might gasped. His stomach turned and his throat closed up and it felt as if he was drowning with every breath he took. "No… it can't be. It can't be!"
All that remained of the Majin mask was the forehead area that snaked down over Nomu's left eye, covering his cheek bone and half of his jaw.
Nomu's Majin Mark blazed once again and his right eye glowed under its influence.
All Might brought a massive hand to his mouth and took a step back, unable to contain the horrified tears that were freely flowing. Standing before him was a ghost, a man that Toshinori had known once before, a lifetime ago, it seemed.
This was the boy whom his beloved Master Gine had entrusted in his care; the boy he'd looked after and grown up with for many years; he was the boy with an unwavering smile, no matter what life threw at them; the boy who had grown into a fine young man, into a mighty hero-in-secret, into a loving father and husband. And he was a young man whom Toshinori had buried a long, long time ago.
As Nomu approached him, his eyes narrowed into a murderous scowl, and no matter how much All Might wanted to deny it, he simply couldn't. The truth was there in front of him to bear.
Nomu was Goku.
Ending Song:
"Let Me Hear" by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
A/N: Was going to have Midoriya's scene here, but it's comedic and didn't sit with the tone of the chapter. So for that reason, I'll include it in the next chapter. No after credit scene this time! Sorry if the chapter feels a bit rushed. I had been planning on fleshing it out a little more, but I was rest of get it out before I start my new job tomorrow.
Wtf! Majin Gohan?! All Might and Piccolo have some explaining to do. Maybe there was a reason why Gohan was able to live for so long without his heartbeat back then... and why they had to find someone to repress his memories and seal off his mind...
So, Gohan's tail is back! This time, he has somewhat control over the transformation, since I wanted to make it more like a super power, something that Gohan can learn to dominate and train in the future.
The tail will definitely come in handy in the future! But now that Oozaru Gohan is hibernating, who will defend the class against Nomu? Find out in the next chapter!
And speaking of Nomu, some of you had already guessed at his true identity, which was awesome. But how did AFO manage to turn Goku into a Nomu when Goku was clearly dead and buried all of these years??? Well, I've been placing clues throughout the chapters and will be piecing the pieces in the next chapter...
And wait- didn't Goku have a brother or something?????! What ever happened to him? If All Might helped raise Goku then what happened to him? Hmm. Stay tuned ;)

Man, this has to be the craziest chapter yet! I love the part where Gohan used his Dragon Fist and who knows how it's all gonna go down with Nomu now in the ring. I'm definitely anticipating the next one
Hey!!! Sorry I missed including this review in my last chapter, JGX! It's so good to hear from you, my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed the update. Even though Nomu massacred my boy in the first round, our boy got him back on the rebound! Now as Nomu prepares for a final round against our heroes... he's gonna get a run for his money, to say the least! Next chapter it's going to be nonstop action. Stay tuned!
Great to hear from you again! Thanks for your kind review!

Welp, Gohan is neck broken, and Goku is gonna be so pissed off when he gets out of mind control and make the villains a painful reminder of when not to make a Saiyan angry
Hey Yeo! Thanks for the review! You're absolutely right. Even though it hasn't happened yet, it's never a good idea to piss off and manipulate a guy that can snap you in half with his bare hands. The villains poked the bear and got what they deserved.
Thanks for your review! I enjoyed reading it :)

Muy bueno

i wonder since the tail is somthing pure blood have in this story Gohan had it as a child would that means he's closer to one then other half breeds kinda like he won the genetic traight lottery and only got recessive or mostly recessive genes for chichi. Also does yurin have a wired yandere type crush on nomu/what is most likely goku. I really liked how videl bonded with bakugo and the bit woth the really really hard carrot was funny is gohan going to end up with scars like his history of trunks self since while healing is more of a thing than it is in normal mha it's less than in regular DBZ/DBS. Seeing that gohan beast knew the makakonsepo (special beam cannon) is this gohan going to learn that here ? Once again this was a fun if not dark chapter
Hey X3!! Thank you for your review. I'm glad you liked it. About the tail, yes he is much closer to the real deal, since his grandfather, Bardock, was hurled forward in time, where he met Gine and had Raditz and Goku. So as a result, they're much closer to Purebloods than modern day Saiyans.
That's why his Oozaru form is legendary- he's much much much larger and more powerful than normal. Same could be said about Shoto, since he's Vegeta's son, but of course Shoto rejects his Saiyan side. I'll dive more into it in next season's Endeavor arc. But that's the general idea behind the tail. I want Gohan to keep it in this fic and have him work on strengthening his Oozaru side. And for the Special Beam canon, I have a special place in this fic for it a bit later on!
And for Yurin's relationship with Nomu, you are spot on once again! Yurin is super messed up in the head in this fic. I had intended for her to have a strange crush on Nomu to the point where she falls in love with him, since he is the one that killed her in the past, and she wants Nomu to suffer the way that she has, so that Nomu reciprocates her feelings. Yeah, like someone else commented, that B is crazy and needs professional help - Stat!!
Thanks for your awesome reviews and insight. It's always fun reading your reviews!
Hmm
Calling it now, its Goku isnt it? But it would be nice if nomu is someone else like say a certain long haired guy(heh)
Anyways the chapter was brutal, yurin is sick, she needs to be in a mental institution lol, and yes the villains are screwed, I hope
Also I see your plans for the fic for Gohan and Fuyumi eh, niceeeeeeee, I'll be looking forward for that
Yep! You were right! Or is it? He certainly looks like Goku hehehe what happened there? You'll find out by the end of the USJ arc.
And don't worry, we'll be seeing a certain long haired guy before the end of this arc as well. I've written him in a way that I've not seen written before in these fics. Still the same guy, but his role is very different. Don't worry.
itz gonna be Rad...
Sorry, I just couldn't help myself hahaha
Thanks for your review, my friend!
Xeno Gohan
It's Goku, BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that's gotta be heart wrenching for Gohan if nomu was Goku
also Yurin needs a bullet in her head, SHE NEEDS TO BE PUT DOWN, I REPEAT, SHE MUST BE PUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY
man, is this the point where Gohan will unlock ssj or or or false ssj? Looking forward for that next chapter
I know what you mean! Poor kid. This encounter with death and fate is going to leave him marked, especially now that he will know that All Might and Piccolo had kept something from him when they told him about his past.
And if Nomu is in fact who he looks like, will there be any way of saving him? Find out in the next chapter!
Yeah Yurin is all sorts of crazy! Someone needs to lock her up and throw away the key!
False SSJ will be Gohan's next step, but in order to reach this next step in his evolution as a warrior, he'll need guidance from someone who's been through that path before. You'll see :)

That's it for review responses. Stay tuned for the next chapter, my friends!
