Pavel
Pavel had been friends with Abe for as long as he could remember. They grew up in Turkey together and both had lost their fathers at a young age. What sealed their friendship and Made Pavel so loyal to him was when he saved his life. Pavel was doing all he could to help support his family after his father died. He had gotten into a bad deal with a loan shark and couldn't pay him back. Abe was very interested in what this man was doing, loaning out a small bit of money to people who are desperate and then in return making a much bigger profit. He also admired how afraid people were of him. He wanted in on what he was doing.
So that's just what he did, he worked his way in and eventually became that man's second in command. He made sure that Pavel's debts were "paid" in full. Pavel couldn't have been more grateful because that man was known to collect his debts one way or another. He knew he would come after his family if it wasn't fully paid back.
Abe eventually took over the man's business, once he did Pavel become his right hand man/ bodyguard. He did whatever Abe asked him to do, no questions asked. And for that Abe made sure his family was well taken care of.
So this trip to NYC wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it was. Pavel noticed Abe acting really strange before he told him to get the car. He was jittery and sweaty and that wasn't like him. When they got in the car Abe gave him the address of the apartment building. He told them they were paying a visit to someone named Jesse Zecklos. Pavel had heard that name from Adrian, when he was searching for properties that his family might own.
The car ride was silent for the first few minutes, Abe kept looking at a file that he had brought with him. Pavel, having enough of the silence and tension in the car, asked Abe what was going on. Abe was reluctant at first then he said the name Janine Hathaway. Pavel hadn't heard that name in over twenty-five years. Janine was the woman that Abe met shortly after his divorce to Adrian's mom. Adrian was just a baby at the time they met and Abe was raising him on his own. Pavel liked Janine because she was one of the only other people besides himself that could put Abe in his place.
He remembered when one day Janine just up and left without a trace. To say Abe was completely devastated was an understatement. Abe was wrecked and spared no expense looking for her, only stopping because it was having a negative effect on Adrian. Pavel always wondered what happened to the fiery red head.
Pavel was shocked when Abe told him what he had just found out, he had a daughter. Said daughter was the victim of Jesse Zecklos, the person they were on their way to pay a visit to. Pavel knew exactly what was going to happen when they got there and was happy to help. Once they "took care" of Jesse, Abe was going to have a lot to figure out now that he knew he had a daughter. And Pavel would be right by his side like always.
