Chase walked into the Lookout, putting on a semi-fake smile, the pup's main concern was whether the pups were actually hiding something from him or it was just a ruse to make the pup a paranoid mess.

"Hey, Chase! How'd your little date go with Skye?" Zuma asked sarcastically as he started drinking water from his bowl.

"It was good, we played tag and went for a walk on the beach." Chase answered as Zuma spat his water out, sending him into a coughing fit.

Rocky snickered at the pup's expense, he patted Zuma's back and asked a question to Chase.

"Wait, you two really went on a date?" Rocky asked. "Wow, looks like you owe me some pup treats, surfer." Rocky smiled at the Labrador who was done coughing.

"Yeah,yeah." Zuma agreed with a slight attitude.

"So did that clear your mind on whatever you were thinking?" Zuma asked as he received a slight jab from Rocky.

"Yeah, yeah it did, it really helped a lot." Chase replied.

"You want to tell us what exactly was bothering you?" Marshall asked in a supportive tone.

"Well, does it matter now? I'm feeling better than I was earlier." Chase replied.

Rocky and Marshall looked at each other, sensing a half truth, yes he was feeling better but it looked like it was still fresh in his mind.

"I guess you're right, you pups want to play Pup Pup Boogie?" Marshall asked as he changed the subject.

"You pups go ahead, I'll be in my pup house." Skye replied as she walked out of the Lookout.

"What's wrong with her?" Zuma asked to the pups. "Did something happen on your date Chase?"

The pups now eyed the German Shepherd, who looked down on the ground.

"What happened Chase?" Marshall asked.

Chase sighed, he had to give them an answer, at least it wasn't invading his personal life that much.

"We almost kissed and I denied it ok?" Chase said rather quickly as he faced to the side. "Can we just play some Pup Pup Boogie?" Chase pleaded.

"Sure, come on, you and I." Marshall motioned for the pup to come to the dance pads.

Some time passed and the pups were still at it, Rocky decided to check on Skye to see if she was feeling alright after what happened.

"Dude, where are you going? The match is almost over." Zuma asked to the mix.

"Oh, I'll be back fast, I just want to check on Skye." Rocky stated.

"Oh ok dude, don't take too long." Zuma said.

"I won't!" Rocky assured as he left the Lookout.

As Rocky left to check on Skye, he heard some rattling in Chase's pup house, as he got closer, he saw Skye snooping around Chase's pup house, the pup walked up and confronted the Cockapoo.

"Skye? What're you doing?!" Rocky called out.

"Oh! Rocky! Um...I was just...looking for something." Skye replied as she placed the pendant back where it was.

"Looking for something? What's so important that made you do this?" Rocky asked.

Skye couldn't handle the guilt anymore, she had to tell the truth.

"I was just worried about Chase, I wanted to see if he had something in his pup house that would—."

"What're you two doing in my pup house?" Chase cut the pup off, causing them to freeze at the sudden appearance.

"Chase, just relax, it's not what it looks like." Rocky defended.

"Oh yeah? Why are you two here? Answer the question." Chase coldly said.

The pups didn't respond.

"Now!" Chase yelled as he got closer to the two pups.

"I...I—." Skye was cut off.

"I just wanted to find out what's been bugging you lately." Rocky took the blame.

"Really?" Chase didn't believe a single word. "So you think that gives you the right to snoop around my pup house, invading my personal stuff?! I can't believe you would do something like this!" Chase yelled.

"Chase, we just want to know what's been with you these past couple of days! You've been so defensive over the smallest things!" Rocky replied as the rest of the pups came out, hearing the commotion. "We want to help you."

Chase didn't care, he was just that angry at the two pups.

"You got three seconds to leave my pup house before I do something I might regret." Chase sternly said.

Rocky stood still with Skye behind him.

"Three." Chase started to count down.

"You're really going to attack me?" Rocky asked.

"Two." Chase unsheathed his claws.

"I'm not moving until you tell us what's wrong with you!" Rocky stated.

Chase realized that the mix was right, Rocky was a stubborn pup and Chase was really going to hurt him over something like that? He figured if he told them, they could finally leave him alone.

Chase calmed down and finally answered.

"You want to know what's wrong? You really want to know? Fine! I've been like this because of someone I lost! Someone I cared about! And in that line of work, that sort of stuff was good for one thing! Getting you killed!" Chase finished as he took heavy breaths.

The pups stood silent at the sudden outburst.

Chase looked as the pups watched, having guilty looks across their faces.

"It's always around this time that I think back, maybe I could've changed things..." Chase quietly said to himself.

Skye was the first to speak up to Chase. "We're...we're sorry Chase, we won't bug you about this thing anymore." Skye apologetically assured as she nuzzled up against Chase.

Chase didn't respond back, rather he went inside his pup house and shut the door, leaving the pups alone.

"That could've been approached better, just saying." Zuma stated with disappointed look.

"I hope you're happy with your answer Skye." Marshall left as the others went inside the Lookout, leaving just her and Rocky alone.

Skye felt bad for overwhelming the pup to that extent, making him finally tell them why he's been like that for the past couple of days, but some things still didn't add up, the pendant she found and that strange pup that Chase said he encountered, what were the meanings?

Skye still had to investigate, she hoped that she didn't have to make him have another outburst like that.

Rocky placed a paw on Skye.

"You really shouldn't have gone through his stuff like that. You're welcome for covering for you by the way." Rocky said.

"Why did you even do it for me anyway?" Skye asked in a sad tone.

"That's what friends do, sometimes, I want to help Chase as much as you do but you have to let him talk to us first, not the other way around." Rocky comforted the pup.

They hugged for a while before their pup tags rang, indicating Ryder needed them.

Skye walked away from Rocky, still looking down.

"Hey..." Rocky called out. "Cheer up Skye, we'll solve this together, you just got to be patient." Rocky assured the aviator pup as they went in the Lookout, meeting up with the pups except for Chase, who came shortly after.

The pups hopped out of the elevator and got lined up.

"Paw Patrol, ready for action Ryder sir!" Chase yelled out his signature phrase.

Most of the pups were still upset with Skye but ignored it since they had a mission to do and to the pups, mission comes first.

"Thanks for coming so quickly pups, the electricity at Katie's short circuited and caused her kittens to run away, now she doesn't know where they are and it's up to us to find them." Ryder brought out his pup pad and swiped on the screen. "For this mission I'll need, Chase, I'll need you to block the roads and help find those kittens."

"These paws uphold the laws!" Chase said his catchphrase.

"I'll also need Rocky, I need you to fix the power at Katie's parlor." Ryder swiped to the pups logo.

"Green means go!" Rocky barked.

"And lastly, I'll need Zuma and Skye to check around the bay and dock areas." Ryder finished.

"This puppy's gotta fly!"

"Let's dive in!"

"Alright! Paw Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder finished saying his catchphrase and the pups went down the slide one by one and heading to Katie's Parlor.

~~~~~~~~
Ryder and the pups arrived at Katie's Parlor and hopped out of their rigs, Chase went to set up the cones on the road nearby.
As the pup threw the set of cones on one side of the road, he saw a Great Dane looking at him then walk away shortly after he spotted him.
"Chase?" Ryder called out.
"What? Oh sorry Ryder." Chase apologized as he placed the other set of cones on the other side of the road.
"Katie, which direction did the kittens go?" Ryder asked.
"I'm not too sure Ryder, but I think they went around the beach and City Hall." Katie replied.
"Ok, don't worry, we'll find them. Zuma, Skye, go check out the beach." Ryder ordered.
"You got it Ryder! Come on Skye!" Zuma called out as he went towards the beach.
"What shall I do sir?" Chase asked.
"You and I will go check out City Hall. Come on let's go." Ryder got on his ATV and the two decided to split up around City Hall.
~~~~~~~~

Chase slowly drove around the area, telling passerby's to watch out for the kittens when driving, as he did this, he spotted one of them and hopped out of his rig, chasing the little kitten.

The kitten was a slippery one, dodging Chase and causing the Shepherd to crash into a garbage can.

Soon after chasing the kitten, Chase finally lead it to a dead end.

"Nowhere to run." Chase said with breaths in between. "Ryder, I found one of Katie's kittens."

As Chase approached the kitten, he heard a voice calling out to him that sent shivers down the his spine.

"Long time no see, huh Chase?"
