DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN ONE PIECE

The vials provided to Law couldn't have been a bigger mystery. For the past week he holed himself up in his medical area trying to see examine the strange substance. Not only were the colours overall unnatural, there was nothing that reacted with it. He knew that Aurelia said that human blood didn't work but he had to double check that. Bepo's blood, raw meat's blood, other chemicals he had around, nothing provided a good result. He didn't even think it was physically possible for a human to release these.

After many tests and a lot of waiting he concluded that he needed to get fishes' blood. It was the only thing that the female doctor said would work and something he didn't have on board. Since it was his first mate's favourite snack they only had dried versions. No blood. And like Aurelia had stated, it wasn't the best option to be injecting that into people. There had to be something in the fishes' blood that made it able to break down the illness that he couldn't see yet.

He could have easily asked his crew to give him a portion of the fish that they regularly caught from the sea. Instead he found himself returning to the village. He reasoned with himself that it was best if he learned all that he could from the woman that had been studying it for longer.

In all honesty? Her answer to the question about his homeland resonated with him. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her than she led on and he was determined to find out what that was before they left.

Stopping by her home he found it was empty again. She must have been around the village, doing check ups. The village was still as empty as the first day so there really was no one to ask. It made sense given that the cause was still unknown. Even when someone delivered the supplies to his crew they dropped it off and ran away before anyone could really see them. At least it was a good sign that they were taking the illness seriously rather than messing around. He's seen plenty of people ignoring scientific evidence for their own convenience.

A house door away from Law opened up and out walked his target. Same as a couple days ago she carried a large satchel and didn't change the style of lab coat and mask. She looked in his direction, walking a bit closer.

"Mister Trafalgar. To what do I owe this visit? Is everything okay?"

"I was looking into the vials that you provided. The only thing I can say is that the properties are not of a psychedelic. However, I haven't been able to test out fishes' blood yet. In order to learn everything, I'm going to ask you to recreate exactly what you did." She resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him. 'Wordy brat just admit you're stuck and need my help.'

"That's not a problem with me. You came at the perfect time too. I was about to go fishing if you want to join. Give me a second to grab a few things." She went in and out of her home, returning with two buckets.

"You fish for the blood yourself?"

"Yeah. It's not complicated so might as well do it myself. I like to think of it as a break from all the sick people. Come on." She led the way into the forest.

The path was outlined by the crushed vegetation. Since it was a short trip Aurelia thought it would be beneficial to talk with him more. Get on his good side with some small talk. "Mister Felix is not with you today. I do hope that he is okay."

"He's alright. Hard to say if either of us have been infected though. I've been keeping a close eye on our conditions. So far, nothing has popped up."

"I think that you'll be fine then. From what I've seen the infection happens nearly within a day. If neither of you have shown any effects, then you should be good to go. Still good to avoid the village though." There was no reason for Felix nor Law to have gotten sick. They would have stayed away from her fake cause and she didn't inject either of them with the venom. It would have been harder to convince Law to allow her in if they were all sick as hell.

"That's good to know. I'll tell Felix and the rest of the guys later. They've been treating him like a ticking time bomb." For the most part they trusted Law to take care of himself. Felix, on the other hand, had to be served at a distance. Even using a stick to push his food towards him and locking him in a spare room. It was amusing to see but a hassle when they were screaming to each other to communicate.

"Rightly so. I don't know your level of medical skills but we should not promote reckless behaviour. Even if you are a pirate." She scolded him.

"Don't doubt my medical skills Lia-ya. From my assumption you learned from a standard medical school?"

"A lot of self study but yes. Why do you ask?"

"Because studying from books is nothing compared to real life experience." 'Oh I so want to punch that smug face of yours right now. I did not work my butt off at school just for you to tell me it's nothing, you shit ass pirate.'

"I suppose that's true. To each their own though. If I wanted I could have worked in a hospital, helping in many cases. Rather than coming to this random island with a confusing illness."

"A determined doctor such as yourself, why travel around so freely?"

"I grew up travelling. After getting my doctor's license it only felt to continue that way. Staying around one hospital was suffocating in a sense. There was nothing really holding me back either."

"Not even family?" It's been a long time since she talked about them.

"An adoptive father but he's always been just around. He wasn't opposing to me going out so I went on my merry way."

"Adoptive?" He heard her step stutter. There was a moment where her walk became rigid before she returned to her normal pace.

She tighten her hold on her buckets' handles. Aurelia could have told a fake story in order to satisfy him. Something as simple as a natural cause would have been fine. But for something like this? She couldn't lie about this.

Law could tell that this was a sensitive topic to her. He knew how it felt to have past shadows haunt. He didn't really have a reason to pry more that he was fine with her silent answer.

"What are you going to do after this island then?" She realized that this was his attempt to change topics.

"Who knows. Probably hop on another ship and see where the wind takes me as I always do. I've never really had a big goal. What about you? Being a pirate must bring a new adventure with every turn."

"It's a thrill that's for sure. Never know what's going to appear on the next island."

"I know that feeling. Traveling by myself can be scary at times but overall, I'm happy where I am right now." She was happy next to the man she had been hunting for so long. Being a solo assassin was way easier than being with a bunch of people.

"I didn't take you for a thrill taker."

"There's a lot that you don't know about me, Mister Trafalgar."

"Like what?" She stopped walking, causing him to look at her. They made eye contact.

"I can kill you." It reminded him of her comment a few days ago.

"Is that going to be a common joke between us? I don't think any other doctor would find it appropriate."

"Eh you're a pirate too. You should get used to worse words being thrown at you." She patted him on the shoulder before skipping ahead. 'I love that he's so stupid.'

There was something in the way she joked with him that he found fun. Normally people would either pick fights with him or run away. She poked at him like they've been friends forever. Not even all of his crew was fully like that yet. A part of him wondered why she was so comfortable around him. He ended up brushing it aside as she was a doctor in the Grand Line. She's probably had a wide spectrum of people treated.

"We're here Mister Trafalgar." Strange enough the only way she was formal with him was in refusing to refer to him by his first name. Almost like she was used to calling him by that.

Stepping out of the forest they arrived at a small cove. There were a few nets already set up that Law figured to be from the villagers. They were stretched out at the opening of the cove that they had to go to the side. She crouched down to check on the nets while Law kept his distance. Aurelia knew that it was because of the potential for sea water to splash on him. It would be too boring to just push him in but it was funny to see that the grown man was avoiding the otherwise harmless water.

She looked back at him. "Mister Trafalgar? Are you going to let me do all the work? Not very gentlemanly like to do."

"You really don't know anything about me, do you?" 'I know a lot, you fucking idiot.'

"No? Are you that famous?" Being in the Worst Generation, Law could confidently say that he was infamous.

"Have you ever heard of a devil fruit? I have one, making me unable to touch sea water." 'You just go around telling people your weakness? Or is that because you think I'm harmless?'

"How interesting. I have seen a lot of people with devil fruits but I didn't think you would have one. Alright, just leave the fish to me. You wanted to see exactly what I did anyways. Just sit tight like a pampered child."

She silently went to work, scooping up some water first. Aurelia could tell that he was watching her intently from the back. There were a few that swam close enough for her to use the net to pull them into her buckets. 'I should have chosen something he could touch. Then I wouldn't have to pick up these slimy fishes.'

"I am curious. How did you figure out that fish blood works?"

She jutted her over to a cave in the wall. "There's a well down there that contains fresh ground water for the village. I came down here to get some since majority of the villagers couldn't. I got the idea when I saw the nets. When I first got the blood samples I wanted to try human blood as a transfusion. But with everyone, including me, having been infected at least once there wasn't any change. Fishes were the only other thing with blood around and miraculously, it worked. Consumption of the fish itself, not so much."

He hummed in response. It didn't take long for her to get a sufficient amount of fishes. It's not like they actually needed it. She just chose something that would be harder for him to get without her help. Would have been helpful if these damn fishes were in on the plan too.

"I think that should be enough for the two of us. We only need the blood so we can give it to feed the villagers. And your crew too. I would keep them in the water to keep them as fresh as possible." He liked the sound of that. Surely Bepo would be happy with some fresh fish as well.

She handed one of the two buckets to him to carry. She knew that he could carry water as long as it didn't touch him and no way in hell was she going to carry these heavy ass things herself.

Walking back to the village they didn't speak much. Aurelia was sure that she left a good impression on him that she didn't want to waste more energy on talking to him.

"Dr. Frost! Help!" The two of them snapped hearing someone yell out for her.

Not wasting a second, Aurelia threw her bucket onto Law before taking off. The water splashed all over him making him incredibly weak. She snickered watching him fall as she ran back into town. Good thing she was far enough for him not to hear her.

Back at the village, there was one of the villagers running amok. They slashed at all the houses and even some people while yelling incoherent things. Anyone would think that the hallucinations were getting to them but she specifically did not give this villager the venom for this exact moment.

She had to show Law that she could take care of herself. That she could be of use to him more than solely her medical knowledge. What better than a good old fashion fight?

"Hey you! You need to calm down!" They made eye contact showing that they were both ready to start the fight.

She took out her trident from her bag. The prongs spreading apart at the same time as the handle extended. She looked around seeing that the ropes were in place for her to take. 'I don't want to prolong this. Let's just damage some surroundings and then restrain them. If anything Trafalgar will see the buildings and put the two together.'

The deranged villager charged at her with their sword. She let them swing down at her to block with her trident. She leaned in slightly. "Let's have some fun today."

A chill ran down their spine. It was all in her eyes. The intent to kill. All the villagers were aware of Aurelia's plan but most did assume that she was an actual doctor taking on a mission to track down the Surgeon of Death. Only did this person realize that she may be a bigger threat than the pirate.

They backed off in fear. But orders were orders. If they broke it they had no idea what her father would say. So they readied themselves again. They could see Law trying his best to rush over that this was going exactly as she planned. If they were the one to ruin it, they wouldn't be forgiven nicely. Aurelia could see in their posture that fear was being set. It never got old to her.

She readjusted her hold on the trident, signing to them to come at her. They still had to act as if they were out of their mind that they ran diagonally while looking up to put on the image that they couldn't walk straight. At the last second they tried to slash at her side. She held up her trident in a poor way. The sword clashed causing her to go flying back a bit. With the help of her jumping backwards for some extra flare.

Her back slammed into one of the house's wooden fence. It broke on impact that caused many of the villagers to scream out their concerns. She didn't use her haki in case he would be able to tell. This small injury is nothing in her grand scheme. 'Ah man! I'm going to have to pay for this fence!'

They came screaming at her again. 'Okay I know you're acting crazy but you need to fix your form. How do you expect to serve under my father if your feet are positioned so wrong? And that hold on the sword hurts to see more than to get hit.'

Aurelia rolled away, staggering to get back on her feet. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Law watching them. He didn't look like he wanted to intervene unless it was absolutely necessary. 'Just watch Trafalgar. One day this will be between us. But for now let's just finish this already, I'm bored.'

She stopped the sword in between her trident's prongs. With a twist of her wrist she sealed their movements. She could see a brief moment when they started to panic. Pulling forward she managed to get the sword out of their grip, tossing it to the side. With her other hand she grabbed their arm. Throwing it behind their back she easily knocked them off their feet. She pinned her weight on them.

"Someone throw me that rope!" She shouted out. A random villager listened, tossing her the rope that they planned in advance. With a bit of tying, Aurelia had all their limbs secured behind their back. She got a roll of bandages from her bag, gagging them. A common practice for restraining patients so that they won't bite their tongue off. Not necessary in this case but good for show.

She let out a sigh now that it was all done. "You're going to be okay. Let's get you back to your home."

A few of the villagers came up to help carry the struggling body back to a secure location. 'That wasn't too bad. Father needs stronger, better actors though.' She scanned the area. 'I'm going to have to pay for both the fence and poison, aren't I? I can lie to Father and say that the rat venom did cause someone to go crazy? As if he would buy that.'

Her eyes landed on the pirate watching intently. It was still hard to tell what he was thinking but he was watching her. And that's the only thing that mattered. "Mister Trafalgar!"

She went back up to him to retrieve the fish she abandoned. Luckily there was still a safe amount of water in but he didn't touch either of them. She picked up one of the buckets, wiping the handle with her lab coat's sleeves. "Did the sea water touch you? I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking about that."

"Only a bit. I'll be fine. You had more pressing matters at hand." He looked back at the villagers going back into their houses. It was the first time that he saw any of them. Their faces were sunken in with red eyes. Signs of exhaustion. And given the short clothing they had, he could see the signs of self caused injury. Must have been from them fighting hallucinations.

Law then turned back to the female doctor. She had her own injuries from the fight and dealing with her patients. Despite that, she didn't show much reaction to it. Slamming against the fence, it hardly effected her that he could tell that she was used to physical confrontation.

"Where did you learn to fight?"

"Travelling around the Grand Line by myself can bring dangerous situations. You pick up a few things here and there."

"That looked more than just a bit here and there. Near the end it was like you shifted character." She thought that she revealed too much but he didn't add on. He glanced at the weapon in hand. "Your weapon, is it cursed?"

"Cursed? Not that I know of. Why?"

"No reason." He blamed his tiredness for playing with his mind. 'So he's strong enough to sense seastone. He did get his fruit young so he must have had to adapt early. Looks like he hasn't been exposed enough to recognize it though.'

Another way she prepared herself to fight him was in getting her trident to be fully made of seastone. She didn't want to reveal this just yet. Having a member on your ship with a weapon that was dangerous in two ways would be asking him to suicide. She may not pose a threat in his mind but this weapon could ring warning bells in his head.

Aurelia put it away in her bag rather than on her belt like she was used to. Until she gets the official offer to join the Heart pirates, she'll stick to the image of being an independent doctor.

Law weakly moved towards the bucket on the ground. Been a while since he felt what sea water felt on him. He tried to lift the bucket up but he couldn't find the strength to do so. 'I may have to experiment with his resistance to sea water. But that was absolutely hilarious Trafalgar.'

"Wow that stuff really does affect you. You're not fit to carry this back to your ship."

He sighed. Out of all the things that could take him down, it had to be water. "You're right. I'll head back to the sub to change and come back."

"Nonsense. I can help carry this one back to your ship. It's partially my fault that you got wet too." She loved seeing how tired he was. Proud pirate reducing himself to getting help from a small doctor to carry a bucket. She was so happy that he mistaken her attitude to be her willingness to help.

Aurelia didn't take an answer as she headed out towards the Polar Tang. She did have to walk slowly so that he didn't get left too far behind. The sea water was making him lethargic but at least he could walk. If she had to carry his lanky body and the bucket she might as well throw all the water on him and drown him at sea. She did want to kill him, but not in a cowardly way of throwing sea water. The only reason why she did this time was to ensure he stayed out of her demonstration battle. When he dies its going to be the most painful thing he's ever experienced. She would settle for nothing less.

Law hated the feeling of his wet sweater clinging to his skin. Didn't help that it was sea water. It made his whole upper body heavy that he didn't even have the energy to just take off the clothing. In cases like these he would often be in danger of someone trying to attack him. He didn't feel that way around the female doctor. Taking his time to get back to the Polar Tang in this position was unfamiliar.

"Woah." She paused once seeing the submarine in full view.

"Lia-ya, welcome to the Polar Tang." Aurelia stood in awe of the submarine. When reports said that it was bright yellow they meant bright. She tried her best to take in as much information as she could. It was funny to think this giant machinery has invaded so many people. 'Too bad I can't put a tracking device on this thing. It'll make things so much easier.'

"It's remarkable. How does it work? How far deep can it go? Can sea kings detect it? How often do you do maintenance? What's the fuel? The maximum time until you have an empty tank? What's the maximum time can you be underwater? Is it armed?" She was like a kid seeing a toy in a window.

"I'm afraid that's all classified." 'Tch, whatever.'

"No fun." She placed the bucket down as Shachi and Penguin were making their way down to greet the two. 'Oh wow they really do wear those stupid hats. I thought that was just to cover half their faces in wanted posters.'

"Captain, is this- you're drenched! How are you feeling?!"

"I'm fine. Bring this bucket to the medical bay for me."

"Aye aye!" They both tilted their bodies to get a better look at the female doctor standing behind the bucket. It was rare for their captain to bring someone back.

She bowed to them first. "Nice to meet you two. I'm Dr. Frost Aurelia. Mister Trafalgar has been helping me in curing the island's illness."

"Ahhh. Nice to meet you too, Aurelia-chan. I'm Penguin and this is Shachi. If we can ask, is Felix going to be okay? He keeps saying that he's fine but we're worried that his health would suddenly plummet, ya know?"

"Worry not. Even if he does get sick, younger healthy villagers tend to recover faster. He hasn't shown any effects from what your captain says so he should be fine." They both let out a sigh of relief. "If that's all I'll be on my way. Probably should check up on that rampaging villager too."

Law blocked her from leaving. "Hold on. You were just attacked by a psychotic patient. Let me do a check up on you."

'I could use this as an opportunity to look at the place from the inside. But then again I'm sick of seeing your face today.' "I can handle myself, Mister Trafalgar. Not my first rodeo. If anything you look like you need a doctor more than me. Get changed and study the fishes. That's all I ask."

She bowed to them again, quickly getting away from him. He would have been more insistent if it wasn't for his wet clothes. She was glad that she was able to at least see the Polar Tang in the flesh. 'Now he has everything he needs to solve this illness. Question is if he can do it without any more hints.'

Law stared at all the test tubes he used. Even with the fish's blood he wasn't any closer to figuring out what was causing the illness. The samples would solely bind with the fish's blood and return back to the normal red colour if there was enough. It would have been easier if he knew if there was something special about these fish. Or the cause of it all.

"Captain," Bepo knocked from outside, "I have your dinner. Can I come in?"

"Yeah." Law leaned back into his chair with his arms crossed. The polar bear walked in with a tray of food. The aroma helped with his forming headache. He had to hope that wasn't a sign that he was catching the illness.

Bepo set it far away enough that his experiment wouldn't bother it. He was used to seeing his captain stay up late. It didn't ease his concerns watching him study this mystery for so long. Since getting to this island, his only thoughts were on the illness. If he didn't solve it in the time left, the navigator had to question if they would leave.

"How is the study going?"

"Lia-ya was right. It almost seems miraculous that she found out that these random fish are able to reverse the effects."

Frost Aurelia was a popular topic within the sub nowadays. Felix told all the guys about how Law showed his interest in getting her name and in the illness. It escalated both when he returned late at night saying he was going to try finding out the cure and when she helped walk him back after dealing with a crazy villager. Law didn't say much about her that left the majority of the crew with their imagination. Most just pictured her to be a smart woman that was passionate with her work.

To Bepo he found that he was more interested in how Law was acting around the whole situation. Including Shachi and Penguin, they've known each other since they were kids. According to the boys that did briefly meet her said that they could see a clear difference in how he treated her compared to other women. It wasn't in a sexual nor romantic tension but one where he respected her work and opinion. She was the one to find out about the fish blood that he wondered if Law would have been able to if he was in her position.

Bepo leaned towards the bucket of fishes. Law raised his eyebrows seeing how serious his first mate was. It was different from his usual attraction to his favourite food. "What is it?"

"I'm sorry." He stepped away but was still looking at the bucket. "It's just... this water smells funny."

"The water? Don't you mean the fish?"

"No, the smell is coming mainly from the bucket so it should be from the water." Law went to stand next to him. He didn't smell anything unusual about it. Maybe a bit stinky though. He didn't think much of it this entire time, assuming that it was because it was a small bucket so the smell should have been from their waste. Now that he thought about it, he didn't replace the water for a while.

Something in his mind clicked. If he was focusing on the fish, he completed ignored that the water could have an impact on its condition.

"What does it smell like to you?"

"Like... Very strong washrooms."

"Washrooms." Law went over to get a dropper and a few test tubes. This time he focused on the water rather than the fish. He put a few drops on a slide to observe under the microscope. He saw him frown looking through the microscope. But he was starting think more. Aurelia mentioned that the cove was where they got their water and fish. The two could be linked.

"Bepo, get the blood vials off my desk and two more droppers. We're going to the island's cove."

'It's the butt crack of dawn! Who the fuck is knocking on my door?!' Aurelia was angrily awoken when she heard someone banging on her door. 'I swear if it's one of Father's men I will kill them with my bare hands.'

She yanked open her front door without checking who it was. In front of her was Law. She was convinced that this was a dream. She slapped her cheeks to stop her from attacking with her sleep deprived brain. 'You really are asking to be murdered by me. At least he had the decency to knock this time.'

"Morning Mister Trafalgar. No offense but you look as exhausted as I feel. Can I offer you some coffee or tea?"

"I found out what was causing the illness." 'Seriously does this boy not know how to create small talk? Relax a little.'

"Really? What is it?" He held out three vials in front of her. Each one had a different colour. A dark red, murky and clear water. She looked closer at them. 'He actually did it. I mean this was the easy half of it.'

"What am I looking at exactly?"

"Blood mixed with a water residing, iron eating bacteria."

"Iron eating? Are you saying that the cause of all of this is because of an iron deficiency?"

"Yeah. There was a strong smell of waste from the water that the fish were in. Going back to the cove, we inspected the fresh water source."

"Wait. The fresh water? Not the salt water?"

"There was a strong smell of waste from the water that the fish were in. We were focused on the fish but not the water. I suspected that something happened in the water or a nearby island that caused the bacteria to build up there in the cove. But people don't consume salt water that the only reasonable way everyone would get sick is through the fresh water." 'Look at him using his brain a little. I didn't even have to poison the salt water for him to realize.'

"The cave with the fresh water must have gotten contaminated over time so that when it was drunk by the villagers, their iron levels went down, causing them to get light headed enough to hallucinate. I presume that the purple waste was merely the body getting rid of the purple bacteria en masse after nearly all the iron was eaten. When they got better their iron levels went back to normal, drank the water, repeat the cycle. That's why my crew aren't sick. We didn't step foot on the island making us rely on the ship's filtration for drinking water. The only reason why fish blood worked was because there was a natural surplus of iron in their blood compared to ours, returning them the original colour of red faster."

She had to stop herself from laughing while he gave his explanation. 'Ooo so close Trafalgar but not quite. Ah well. I'll give this to him.'

"Now that you mention it, because of all the late nights I've been drinking mainly coffee. I boiled that water which could have killed the bacteria off. If what you say is true, then all this village needs to do is boil the water or get a filtration device."

"Exactly. And lucky for you, since the log pose still has a few days left to set the my crew said that they were comfortable with building a basic one for the village. In exchange for more supplies." Behind him, a small group of men in boiler suits were watching. She recognized all of them as low ranking wanted pirates.

"I'll have to talk with the village head but I'm sure they'll approve. We have a deal." She placed her hand out. He took it, giving it a firm shake.

"Alright. Let's get to work."

In the remaining week the Heart pirates' mechanics built 2 filtration devices for the village. Each day they would get fed and were given all the materials they needed to work and for their future expedition. Since they confirmed that the illness wasn't contagious, no one hesitated to interact with people regularly.

Though some 'villagers' were still weary about the pirates, a lot of them got along as normal. As per Aurelia command of course. The Heart pirates were their supposed saviours after all.

Since Law had 'found the cause', the 'villagers' 'recovered' fast enough that Aurelia had more time to relax with the crew. She tried her best to integrate herself in the group without seeming too clingy. And the best part was that no one suspected a thing. Their captain didn't say anything against her so it looked good in her favour.

Today was the Heart pirates last night on the island before their log pose set. A grand party was in play to bid farewell. Food and booze was abundant and everyone's energy was high. Not a problem in the world.

Law watched his crew from afar. He wasn't one to party much but he was glad that his crew was enjoying their last night. It was important to treasure these times that he just watched while eating his meal.

"Your crew is very energetic compared to you. They're going to reduce my patients back into their beds at this point." Aurelia sat down next to him. She offered him a cup of clean water. He graciously took it.

"They aren't your patients anymore. Thanks to your hard work, they are in good health."

"With your help. Thank you Mister Trafalgar." She almost threw up giving her fake gratitude.

"It was an experience for me as well, Lia-ya." He looked over to her watching his crew. They danced lively with the healed villagers that made the both of them laugh. Somehow, looking at her, he could picture them all together. In the future, on a different island, the same people laughing over their adventures. This past week has already shown how well they get along.

"Now that your log pose has set and the illness has been figured out I should have expected you to head out as soon as possible. It feels a bit odd after spending all this time with the guys. I'll try to keep my eye out for news about you so take care of yourself. If you ever need extra hands in an operation just come find me."

"While that is a noble proposition, I have one for you as well."

"Huh?" Law couldn't have been sure of his decision.

"I want to offer you a position on my crew." Aurelia was genuinely speechless. A chance to kill him. To be close to Trafalgar Law on a regular basis. A chance to study everything about him. Including all his weaknesses. Not having to rely on random strangers to learn where he was. What he was doing was going to happen in real life time for her own eyes to see. She didn't think this day would come.

"Me? A pirate? But I'm- I don't know the first thing about being a pirate. I'm only a doctor, Mister Trafalgar."

"I know. And while all of my crew do have basic first aid training I would like to have at least one other trained doctor on board in case of any emergencies. That would be you, Lia-ya. If you choose to accept. We leave tomorrow morning. Give me your answer by then."

She didn't have to think too long about her answer. When morning came the Heart pirates gave a warm welcome to their newest member, Frost Aurelia.
