After leaving Usagi to Mamoru, the other Sailor Guardians are rocked by what Ryo tells them, and now that they have Mamoru back, events that were supposed to happen are now have been shifted, and revealed to Ryo. What does Ryo tell them? And how will this rock all of them?

(Friday Night)

After Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, and Ryo left Mamoru's apartment building, they had lingered downstairs outside of the building.

The girls looked up at the building. They were having the same lingering thought. They were worried about Usagi and Mamoru. They knew they could trust him. They felt that instinct he would protect their princess without a doubt; it was just what he had put her through to get to this point.

"Give him a break," Ryo told them. "Usagi has a pretty good head on her shoulders." He looked at each girl.

"Ryo," Ami said.

"You saw the way he was holding on to Usagi," Minako said. She couldn't stop thinking about Mamoru's expression when he was holding her. Something told her she would never forget that look.

Rei mused on it herself. "It was like a lifeline," she added.

"He needs her," Makoto said, "every bit of the fact she needs him."

"Ryo, we do understand," Ami said. "It just doesn't stop us from worrying."

"Do you think he loves her?" Ryo asked.

"Yes," Rei answered without any hesitation as she was also thinking about what she had told Mamoru upstairs. "And it scares him. Even while he holds her, it scares him."

"Speaking of love," Ryo said. On the walk to Mamoru's apartment, he had been going back and forth about whether or not he should tell the girls about this. After leaving Mamoru's apartment and going down the elevator, he had decided he was going to let the other girls know about what he had foreseen. "There's something I need to tell you about Kunzite and the other generals."

"Three of them have been defeated," Minako said. All of the Sailor Guardians have been briefed on how the other generals have been defeated and how the others had found each other.

"And the last one will be punished," Makoto said as she punched her fist against her other palm.

"There's something you need to know about them," Ryo said. He was hesitating again because he didn't want to lose Ami, but he felt it wasn't right to keep this from her, from all of them, really.

All of the girls stopped looking up at the apartment building and looked over at Ryo.

"What's going on?" Ami asked him with worry.

Ryo gathered his courage and spoke the truth. "In the Silver Millenium, the four of them were Prince Endymion's Shittenou, and like Mamoru was in this life, they have their own lives and have been brainwashed," he said.

"Say what?" Minako asked as a memory from her past life started to emerge.

"Is that true?" Rei asked at the same time as Minako for the same reason.

Ryo turned and looked up at the apartment building, not exactly answering the questions. "He will have a thought as to why he wasn't brainwashed in his last life like he was in this life, this time. He would be right," he told him, knowing they wouldn't understand what he was saying.

"And there is another reason why you brought them up," Minako said. "What is it?" She needed to pin him down and needed to know the answer that was rolling around in her head, and she couldn't stand it. Not anymore. She couldn't deny it anymore and was afraid of it.

Ryo looked at Minako and realized with his premonitions, she knew what it was, and it scared her. He looked at Ami, and he knew what possibilities may be.

"What do you remember?" Ryo asked Minako. He turned to look at Minako. He had sensed she was the first one to piece her memories of her past life together.

Minako's eyes widened realizing that with that simple question it was true, but she still had to ask. "It's true, isn't it?" she asked. "In the Silver Millenium?" After what had happened at Tokyo Tower, Miniko had been having dreams about Kunzite. She had dreams about laughing with him, him holding her, and him being with her. She had remembered loving him so much that it hurt her heart.

"Kunzite?" Ryo asked.

Minako couldn't answer. Her heart had traveled to her throat. The only way she could answer his question was nodded.

"It's true," Ryo confirmed, sorry for the fact he was causing her heart to ache.

Minako had collapsed, at that point, on to her knees and burst into tears. If the other girls hadn't known better, they would've thought it was Usagi.

"Minako?" Rei said with concern as she crouched down in front of her.

Ryo turned back to Ami. "Just like Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity, you four had fallen in love with each of his Shitennou," Ryo answered and then turned to all four of them. "I don't suppose the four of you after Tokyo Tower memories start to surface in your dreams?" He turned back to Ami.

Ami just stared at him. "Zoisite," she said. She couldn't help but say his name because she too was having dreams about him being a library, and he would be there helping her. She could remember their deep discussion about science and history and the stars. All of the possibilities. She could remember their first sweet kiss in that library and the feeling he gave her.

"Jadeite," Rei said. Even before the events of Tokyo Tower, she had already felt a connection to him.

"Does the name Nephrite mean anything?" Makoto asked. She looked at Ami and Rei as they were Sailor Guardians before her. She knew they would know that name.

Ami and Rei looked at each other. "Naru," the two of them said at the same time.

"What does Naru have to do with this?" Makoto asked curiously. She couldn't quite comprehend what their friend would have to do with this, and she knew that Naru is in a relationship with Umino.

Ami knew that Makoto knew the timeline of each of the generals, but she had issues remembering which generals went where and couldn't remember their names. "Nephrite was the general that was defeated right before you had joined us as a Sailor Guardian," Ami told her.

Makoto's eyes went wide. "I remember now," she said. "Didn't Naru fall hard for him?"

"And him with her," Rei confirmed who was still crouched down in front of Minako; she was worried about her friends, this revelation, and her own feelings. She thought about when he had died in Naru's arms. It was so hard to see their friend in so much pain, and they couldn't do anything. Even thinking about Jadeite and her dreams which are now memories, she could remember how much balance they had provided each other. She couldn't burn him, and he couldn't freeze her. She remembered how many times that had been mentioned in their previous life, but most of all, she remembered her own feelings for him. She remembered loving him.

"Is there a way we can resurrect the three Shitennou and rescue Kunzite?" Ami asked Ryo, knowing that was the reason he said something in the first place.

"I don't know," Ryo admitted. "I haven't seen that possibility yet, Ami." Since the last time he saw Ami, he had gotten a better idea of how his premonitions work.

"Wait," Makoto said. "How exactly does your power work?"

Ryo looked at Makoto. "All I see is the possibility of the premonition," he told them, "so if something hasn't happened or an event that needs to happen, it won't give me the outcome." He hoped they wouldn't ask him to elaborate on that because there was more, and he preferred if he would explain it only once. Though he didn't mind giving them a brief description.

"So if we do this," Makoto started. "All four of us will have to make a choice."

Ami looked at Ryo and knew what Makoto meant. She knew it was more her and Rei's decision as she had been eyeing Yuuichirou after what had happened at Tokyo Tower. She just hoped it was the right decision. "Ryo," she started, "I don't know what we will do, but it is our mission first and foremost to protect our princess."

"Just as it is their responsibility to protect their prince," Rei finished.

"If not for us," Makoto said, "then definitely for him."

The girls and Ryo nodded. "He needs them," Minako said, agreeing from her shock. "For now, though, let's get some sleep, and we'll meet back up here." She wanted to brief Artemis about what had transpired tonight, and she knew what would be the best way to get that same information to Luna.

"Agreed," the other three girls said.

Ryo nodded, knowing that he was needed for the time being.

The girls separated and made their way home to get some sleep. The only ones who had lingered a little longer were Ami and Ryo.

"Walk me home?" Ami asked him.

Ryo smiled at her and offered her his arm.

Ami took it. "You know you didn't have to say anything," she told him.

"Of course, I did," Ryo said, knowing Ami knew that about him. He knew most men wouldn't have said anything, but he knew that wasn't him. He would rather play by the rules and make it an even playing field. He knew if they were able to resurrect them then Ami and the others wouldn't have to die. "It wouldn't have set well with me if I hadn't said something."

Ami looked up at Mamoru's apartment one more time. "Do you think everything is going to work out?" she asked him.

Ryo smiled. "I have realized that knowing the future doesn't bode well because once when one future slips past I see how it would've turned out," he told her. "If Usagi hadn't saved Mamoru tonight, everyone would've died." He knew he opened up a can of worms and wondered how exactly he could explain what he meant. "Not just the Dark Kingdom, but you, the other Sailor Guardians, the princess, and the prince. You would have sacrificed your lives."

"Would it have been worth it?" Ami asked.

Ryo knew what she was really asking about. "Yes," he told her, being careful not to mention the true power of the Legendary Silver Crystal, "but I didn't know until after she had saved us what that future was. It gives me limitations, Ami; I wish I had all the answers."

Ami closed her eyes and let her instinct and her mind war with each other. She knew she would always remember the way Usagi had lit up when Mamoru said her name and the way Mamoru held her as they walked to his apartment. "I understand," Ami said.

"There's something about this ability, Ami," Ryo said. "If we don't find a way to resurrect the generals or save Kunzite, everyone will die." He looked at her and wondered if she understood what he was telling her. "Do you understand what I'm saying, Ami?" Before she could comment or answer, he continued. "I see the worst possibility the clearest because that is if I do completely nothing at all."

"Ryo," Ami said, realizing he was scared for her, for her friends, for Mamoru, and for his generals. "You're doing something. You're helping us. The worst possibility isn't going to happen. Trust me."

Ryo nodded. "Okay," he said. He walked her the rest of the way home.

Luna sat on Usagi's bed. She felt something was off and couldn't quite place why she felt that way.

She heard the phone ring and hopped off the bed. She slunk through the slight open door and heard the tail end of the conversation Ikuko, Usagi's mother, was having with Minako. "Just tell Usagi to call home when she wakes up tomorrow, Minako," Ikuko said. "Thank you. Have a good night." She hung up the phone and stood in front of the phone for a full minute.

Luna walked over and looped herself around Ikuko's legs. She hoped to get information about where Usagi was. She knew Minako would have told Ikuko where Usagi was finally sleeping. She needed to know what had happened tonight, to understand why Usagi was finally able to sleep.

Ikuko looked down and saw Luna. She had reached down to pick her up to hold her. "You feel it too, don't you, Luna?" she asked. "Worried about Usagi? Who hasn't been eating, who hasn't been sleeping. Something is off."

Luna wasn't surprised to know that Ikuko had realized there was something going on with Usagi. She knew how Ikuko felt about Usagi, and she knew that wouldn't ever change.

Ikuko didn't know why she was confiding in a cat, but she just went with it. "That is why I am not going to make a big deal that she's sleeping over at Minako's. She's finally sleeping, hopefully peacefully, so I will take that victory," she said, nuzzling Luna and feeling calmer.

The minute Luna heard and realized that Usagi fell asleep at Minako, she felt relieved, and perhaps a little puzzled about the events. She knew; however, she would get answers from Minako.

"I wonder if there's something going on with a boy, but I won't be able to say anything to Kenji," Ikuko continued. She thought about the star locket, how beautiful the piece was, and wondered how expensive it must have been. She wondered the first time she saw it if a boy had given it to her, and the way Usagi held the locket and carried it with her she knew it must have been a boy. It hurt her heart just a bit to realize her daughter had given her heart to someone else. "Whoever this boy is, I want to give him a piece of my mind for the way he is making Usagi worry about him."

Luna knew that Usagi's parents had a good marriage, so there was a good foundation. Though she knew Kenji, and she didn't want to know what Kenji's reaction would be if Ikuko would toss that theory at him.

Ikuko sighed. "I hope Usagi knows she can confide in me," Ikuko said as she laid Luna back down on the ground. "Thanks, Luna."

"Meow," Luna said as you're welcome. She watched as Ikuko walked back into the kitchen to finish washing the dishes. She knew Minako would give her a report.

Luna turned and looked for an empty window. When she found one that Shingo had left open early in the day, she dashed over to it and went through it.

It took her a little bit of time to get to Minako's house as she had only been there twice. When she had just gotten there, Minako was just returning home.

"Luna," Minako said with surprise.

"Where's Usagi?" Luna asked with worry.

Minako supposed it was a good thing Luna was here, so she can explain it to both of them once instead of twice. "With Mamoru," Minako said. "She's safe with him because she got through to him." She really hoped that was the case and her instinct told her that it was. She was still worried though, and she didn't know if it was the friend or the Sailor Guardian sides of her. "I want to brief Artemis as well, Luna. Come inside." Minako had unlocked the door and let Luna go in first.

Minako had hoped for a shower when she returned home, but she saw with the arrival of Luna, it wasn't going to be possible. Her shower was going to be delayed because with Luna here, Artemis was going to demand answers. She wasn't worried about either one of the reactions because what had happened happened, and Usagi was reunited with Mamoru and were both safe. At least for a little while longer.

"Minako," Artemis said when the bedroom door opened and saw Luna behind her. "Luna?" He looked up at Minako and watched her expression. He stood up on the bed realizing something dire happened tonight. "What happened?" he asked Minako.

Minako knew then she was really going to have to wait for her shower, and she sighed.

"Minako, you mentioned Mamoru?" Luna probed.

"Mamoru?" Artemis said. He was even more confused as he knew that under the influence of Beryl, he had aligned himself with the Dark Kingdom. Then it dawned on him that maybe Usagi finally got through to him.

"Before the two of you bombard me with questions, I will tell you all of what I know that happened tonight," Minako promised, trying to keep their questions to a minimum. "And after you can ask all the questions you want, alright?"

Both Luna and Artemis nodded. Luna hopped on the bed and laid down next to Artemis while he sat; however, they both looked at Minako expectedly.

Minako went through the events about what had happened. She told them the events as she knew them. She couldn't stay sitting as she told them, so she had paced more out of the fact she was still worried about Usagi. When she finished, she turned to look at Artemis and Luna. "And that's what happened," she told them.

"The generals were your past loves? Prince Endymion's Shitennou?" Luna asked. "I hadn't even considered that being even a possibility. There are four of them, four of you."

"I didn't remember until you said it," Artemis confirmed. "I want to talk to Ryo myself, and I want to know exactly how his ability works."

Minako nodded. "He wants to be able to do his part," she told Artemis. "He is aware there is a possibility that he may lose Ami to Zoisite because of this, but I get the sense he knows more about his ability and has more knowledge about the future than he's letting on." All Minako could think about was how she loved Kunzite and how intense her feelings were in the Silver Millennium. She knew she wouldn't ever love someone like that in this life unless it was with him.

"So we're going to meet at Mamoru's apartment tomorrow morning?" Luna asked. "Does anyone have his phone number?"

"Uh… Rei may have it," Minako said.

Luna and Artemis both sweatdropped. "Does Mamoru at least know about this meeting?" Luna asked.

"No," Minako answered and started to laugh nervously. She walked to the bathroom still laughing as she closed the door behind her.

Luna and Artemis sweatdropped again. "Why didn't any of the girls think about letting the two most important know about this important meeting?" Luna asked Artemis.

"I have been wondering for months how they function as a team so well," Artemis told her.

Luna looked down. "They have been doing it for Usagi," she told him. "She is their center, and the reason why none of them are alone anymore. For how many flaws Usagi has, she still draws people to her."

"Usagi balances them out," Artemis said, musing. "I can see that because they are too preoccupied with keeping her safe, they tend to forget to tell her about things."

Luna gave Artemis him a look. "I noticed," Luna said. "It started after-"

"What happened at Tokyo Tower," Artemis finished. "They were giving her a break because of-"

"What had happened to Mamoru," Luna finished.

Artemis had watched Luna throughout Minako's explanation. He believed she was going back and forth on whether or not she should check on Usagi with her own eyes. He knew she wanted to give Usagi privacy, but at the same time, she was worried about Usagi's peace of mind. "Luna, if Minako says she's safe with Mamoru, I believe it," Artemis said. "I don't argue over Minako's instincts."

"I'm her advisor, Artemis, and she's the princess," she told him. "We can't just let that go."

Artemis knew what Luna was saying, and it made sense to him because he felt the same way about Minako. "They may have known each other for months, Luna, but they need time without us butting in while they figure out what they are feeling," Artemis said.

"Artemis," Luna said slowly. "I know how Usagi feels. She loves him with her whole heart, and if he doesn't want her, she will let him go. That will break her."

Artemis shook his head. "I don't think so," he said. "I think you need to give Usagi more credit for knowing her heart. She'll bend, but she won't break." He looked over at the bathroom. "Minako, Ami, Rei, and Makoto will make sure of it. Even Naru."

"I promised Queen Serenity that I would protect her," Luna said, remembering the promise she made to the queen.

"Sometimes, Luna, we have to let them spread their wings," Artemis said.

Luna thought about Ikuko and thought about Ikuko's heart. She knew the woman loves Usagi with the heart of a mother. She did mother Usagi, but she had seen that Ikuko let Usagi spread her wings. "I understand," Luna said.

"It's late," Artemis said. "Stay the night here."

Luna conceded and nodded. "I have to trust Usagi and let her have this reunion," she said. She had trusted Minako's account, but she couldn't help but worry. She set it aside and laid at the edge of Minako's bed. She closed her eyes and prayed for sleep to come.

Artemis watched Luna promptly fall asleep. He realized early on that she had been doing the same thing as Usagi. She hadn't been eating nor sleeping well. He hoped she slept well and laid down next to her. He thought about what they should talk about during their meeting tomorrow. He thought about what was important and what wasn't. He definitely wanted to know how Ryo's ability worked and how they could use it to their advantage.

After Minako had stepped into the shower and knew for sure Artemis and Luna weren't listening, she let the shower head just pound on her body. She was still trying to figure out what her feelings for a certain Shitennou, the current general they were fighting, was her true love.

Minako thought about all the dreams and memories she had of Kunzite since the events of Tokyo Tower. She hoped there was a way to win him back and resurrect the others.

"Kunzite, I won't give up," she said out loud as if he was there. "I promise I will find a way to get you back."

xXx

Makoto opened the door to the apartment she had to herself. She walked in, closed the door behind her, and went straight to the balcony. She needed fresh air. "Nephrite, if we pull this off, how do we explain about you being back? How do we explain this to Naru?"

Makoto thought about her sweet, determined friend. She could see why anyone would fall in love with Naru. She thought about the fact she knew there was a decision needed to be made. It was going to be hard, if they do pull this off, to watch him walk away from her to be with Naru. "What am I supposed to do?" Makoto asked. She had never been so lost before.

However, Makoto knew her friends would help her figure out what needs to be done. She believed that with her whole heart. She just hoped it was enough.

Rei sat in her miko clothing in front of the fire. She prayed for a vision of the future hoping to get a glimpse of Ryo what believe would come to pass. She tried to concentrate, but her mind kept wandering to Jadeite. She knew he was the reason she was unable to concentrate.

Rei heard the door open and turned to see the second part of her worry, Yuuichirou, walking in.

"Rei?" Yuuichirou asked, surprised to find her in here at this time of night. He sat in front of the fire with her without waiting for an invitation and started to pray.

"Yuuichirou," Rei said.

"What's on your mind?" Yuuichirou asked.

"How did you know I'm worried about something?" Rei asked, countering his question.

"I know you," Yuuichirou said. "When you're worried about something, you come here to think and to pray."

Rei sighed. She didn't know she was that transparent with him which made this decision even more impossible to make because Yuuichirou pays attention. If she could just tap into what she needed, then she wouldn't have to worry about making the wrong decision.

Rei gave in and asked, "How do you make a choice between two impossible options?"

"Ah," Yuuichirou said. "That makes sense."

"I ask for advice, and you only say that?" Rei fired back at him, angrily. When she would have gotten up and stomped away from him, he grabbed her hand instead.

When Rei looked at Yuuichirou with arrows in her eyes, he continued, "I wasn't finished."

Rei snatched her hand back. "By all means," she said, annoyed. "Continue."

"You have to follow your heart," Yuuichirou told her, simply.

Rei rolled her eyes and knew instinctively Usagi would have given her the same answer. "It's still an impossible decision," she told him, but she did walk away a little calmer.

Ryo had dropped Ami off at her apartment building about an hour ago, and she was getting ready for bed. Her mother still had yet to be home, but that was the life of a surgeon.

Like the other Sailor Guardians, Ami was also thinking about her love from her past life, Zoisite. She thought about the dreams and memories she had of him. Like Ryo, she remembered that Zoisite had also quietly challenged her.

Like Rei, she felt like she was making an impossible choice. How could she pick between the two if they are able to pull this off?

"One step at a time," Ami said. She knew Ryo had given her all of it, and he was probably hoping he would help her with the explanation tomorrow. She wasn't happy he had kept most of it from her friends, from her teammates. She hated that she understood the reason why, but it gave her time to think about it.

Ami laid down in bed and thought about the things that Ryo had told her on the walk home. She hoped for sleep and would take what she could get.
