It was a beautiful day, a perfect day to be outside. But that doesn't apply to everyone yet, 10 year old daughter of Professor Cerise Chloe is still asleep in her bed. Chloe was awakened by the sunlight shining in through a small crack. Chloe sat up straight in her bed and rubbed her eyes.
"Morning Yamper," Chloe said.
Chloe got out of bed and walked over to the chair where Yamper was sleeping and rubbed his tummy.
"Wake up sleepyhead," Chloe said.
"Yamp," Yamper barked
The little Yamper slowly woke up while Chloe changed her clothes. After Chloe changed her clothes, she left her room, Yamper followed her and the two went downstairs.
Chloe walked into the living room and her parents and younger brother were already sitting at the table. Before Chloe sat down at the table she walked over to the two Boltund, one had a red bandana around his neck and the other was more feminine with a pretty pink bow around her neck.
"Good morning Koda and Suki," Chloe greeted as she patted the two Boltunds on their heads.
"Morning darling," Talia said.
"Chloe sat down at the table. Morning mom," she said.
"Did you sleep well Chloe?" Prof. Cerise asked.
"Yes, dad," Chloe replied.
Chloe was just scooping up some breakfast for herself, when Yamper came walking in with plate in his mouth and set it down right next to Chloe's chair.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"What is it, Yamper?" Chloe asked.
"Yamp, Yamp," Yamper barked.
"He's hungry," Parked said.
"And you know that Yamper will only eat what you serve him," Talia said.
"I know that mom," Chloe said.
Chloe got up and got some food for Yamper. Chloe put the food on the plate, gave Yamper a pat on the head and he started eating.
"Chloe are you planning to go outside in this beautiful weather?" Prof. Cerise asked.
"Yes, I'm," Chloe said.
"What are you going to do, sweetheart?" Prof. Cerise asked.
"I plan to go to the Wild Area," answered Chloe.
"The Wild Area? Prof. Cerise asked, being surprised at hearing Chloe's activity.
"Yes, I'd like to research the Power Spots that are out there," Chloe said.
"I don't know if that's such a good idea Chloe, the Wild Area is super unpredictable and that could be dangerous," Prof. Cerise said.
"Don't worry dad, Yamper is coming with me, so I won't be alone," Chloe said.
"Yeah, but..," Prof. Cerise began.
"Dad, I'm a trainer now," Chloe said.
"And a beginner trainer, who barely trains her Yamper," Prof. Cerise said.
"It'll be okay dad, just trust me," Chloe said.
"Oh Phillip don't be so difficult and let Chloe go to the Wild Area," Talia said.
"Okay, you can go," Prof. Cerise said.
"Thank you dad," Chloe said.
After breakfast, Chloe packed her bag, then went through the barn and got her bike. Chloe placed Yamper in the basket at the front of the bike.
"I'm going now," Chloe said.
"Have fun, sweetheart," Talia said.
"Thank you, mom," Chloe said.
"And be careful out there," said Prof. Cerise.
"I will, I promise," Chloe said.
"Yamper, you watch over her," Prof. Cerise said.
"Yamper," barked Yamper.
"I'll be home for dinner," Chloe said.
"See you tonight," Talia said.
"Bye," Chloe said.
Chloe got on her bike and was now on her way to the Wild Area with Yamper. Professor Cerise and his wife waved goodbye to their daughter and watched her ride away.
After quite a bike ride, Chloe had reached the Wild Area. Chloe parked her bike against a tree and Yamper jumped out of the basket.
"You go and play Yamper, and I'll go and study a Power Spot," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"And you behave Yamper," Chloe said.
"Yamper," barked Yamper, as started running through the Wild Area.
Chloe walked up to one of the Power Spots and studied it and made notes in her notebook. Unfortunately for Chloe, her research was interrupted by Yamper's barking.
Chloe looked in the direction where the barking was coming from a saw that Yamper was running after a Pidove.
"Yamper no, you know you are not allowed to chase after the Pidove or the other any bird Pokémon, Chloe said.
"Yamp?" Yamper baked, with an innocent look on his face
"No, leave that Pidove alone and come here," Chloe ordered.
Yamper ran to Chloe and the Pidove flew away.
Chloe petted Yamper over his little head." Good Yamper," she said.
After a while Chloe decided to take a lunch break, she grabbed a picnic blanket from her bag and laid it down on the grass. Chloe grabbed the lunch for her and Yamper and together they went to lunch together.
"Do you like it Yamper?" Chloe asked.
"Yamper," Yamper barked happily.
"That's nice, that you like it," Chloe said.
After the lunch, Chloe went to study the Pokémon that lived in the Wild Area. She also went to play nicely with Yamper. After a few hours, Chloe was ready to go home, she packed her things and walked towards her bike.
"Yamper, we're going home," Chloe said.
"Yamper!" Yamper barked, in a protesting way.
"I know you like playing here, but we really have to go now," Chloe said.
"Yamp," a disappointing Yamper barked.
"If we don't go now we'll be late for dinner and maybe nothing left for us," Chloe said.
Yamper ran straight back to Chloe and jumped into her arms.
"That's what I thought, I know that you don't want to miss a meal, "Chloe said.
"Yamp, Yamp," Yamper barked.
"Come on, we've got a long ride ahead of us," Chloe said.
Yamper licked Chloe's face and she got a smile on her face. Chloe gave Yamper a kiss on the head. Chloe was just about to put Yamper in the basket, until she heard something.
"What was that?" Chloe asked.
"Yamper?" Barked Yamper, as he also had no idea what the sound was.
"Hello, who's there?" Chloe asked.
There was no answer and so Chloe decided to ignore the sound. But then the sound was there again and Chloe turned around and saw a horde of Pidove and Tranquill standing behind her and they didn't look happy.
"I've a bad feeling about this," Chloe said.
"Yamper," a scared Yamper barked.
The Pidove and Tranquill tensed their wings and flew toward Chloe and Yamper, ready to attack them. In fright, Chloe dropped Yamper from her arms.
"I was right, yery bad. Run Yamper," Chloe yelled.
"Yamper," Yamper cried.
Chloe and Yamper ran as fast as they could, trying to escape from the Pidove and Tranquil. During the running Chloe lost her Rotom-Phone
"Yamper, quickly use your NUZZLE," Chloe said.
Yamper turned to the Pidove and Tranquill and used Nuzzle. A few Pidove and Tranquill were hit and fell to the ground.
"Yes, it worked," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
But the Pidove and Tranquill quickly regained consciousness and were now even angrier.
"Or not," Chloe said in disappointed
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
The Pidove and Tranquill started using Gust against Chloe and Yamper. Chloe picked up Yamper and ran away as fast as she could.
"I now think we made them even angrier," Chloe said.
"Yamper, barked the scared little dog Pokémon.
"We need to hide and fast," Chloe said.
Chloe kept running and she didn't exactly look where she was running, all she could think of was finding somewhere to hide from the Pidove and Tranquill. Then Chloe saw a bridge and ran as fast as she could to it. Chloe hid under the bridge with Yamper.
"It's going to be okay Yamper," Chloe said.
"Yamp," Yamper barked.
"We'll stay here until the Pidove and Tranquill leave us alone, and then we'll hurry to the bike and get out of here," Chloe said.
But unfortunately for Chloe and Yamper, the Pidove and Tranquill didn't leave as fast as they hoped and still had to keep hiding under the bridge.
The next day, Ash and Roan are walking towards the Wild Area and the two are still continuing their journey, but of course they don't know yet that Chloe is in the Wild Area.
Roan took off his bag and set it down. "Breaktime," Roan said.
"Do you necessarily want to take a break now? We're almost at the Wild Area," Ash said.
"We were up super early and I want to take a short break now," Roan replied.
"Okay, then," Ash said, as he sat down and Pikachu jumped of his shoulder.
"Go, Scorbunny," Roan said, grabbing Scorbunny's Pokéball and summoning his partner.
"Scor," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Scorbunny, I'd like to share a special moment with you," Roan said.
"Scor?" Scorbunny squeaked.
Roan opened his bag and took out one of the chocolate bars he had got from Raihan. "This is the best chocolate in all of Galar and I would like to share it with you," Roan said.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked happily, jumping up and down.
"And of course with you and Pikachu as well," Roan said.
"Thank you Roan, that's so nice of you," Ash said.
"Pika, pika," Pikachu squeaked.
Roan gave everyone a piece of chocolate. The four of them all took a bite and immediately liked it.
"This is really good chocolate," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Scor," Scorbunny squeaked.
"It's Galar's best chocolate," Roan explained.
"Scor, Scor, Scorbunny," Squeaked Scorbunny, jumping up and down.
"Would you like another piece of Scorbunny?" Roan asked.
"Scor, Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked holding up, waiting for Roan to give him another piece of chocolate.
"Of course, I'll give you another piece," Roan said.
Roan was about to give Scorbunny another piece of chocolate, but suddenly something fast flew by and snatched the piece of chocolate from Roan's hands.
"Hey!" Roan yelled.
"What was that?" Ash asked.
"Someone stole the chocolate from my hands," Roan said.
"A Pokémon?" Ash asked.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu squeaked pointing towards a three.
Ash and Roan turned to the tree to which Pikachu was pointing and the two saw a Rookidee sitting on a branch, eating the chocolate.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Ash asked, as he grabbed his Rotom-Phone and opened up the Pokédex app.
Rookidee, the tiny bird Pokémon. It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokémon benefits from every battle-even a defeat increases its strength a bit.
"And a chocolate thief, too," Roan said.
"Wow, what a cool Pokémon," Ash said.
"What? That chocolate thief?" Roan asked.
"I'm going to catch that Rookidee," Ash said, grabbing an empty Pokéball.
But before Ash got the chance to catch the Rookidee, it flew away.
"Ah, there goes my chance to catch it," Ash complained.
"Pika, pika," squeaked Pikachu, trying to comfort his trainer.
"And there goes my chocolate," Roan complained.
"Scor, Scor," squeaked Scorbunny, trying to comfort his trainer.
Ash and Roan sat on the ground disappointed, Ash for not being able to catch the Rookidee and Roan for the Rookidee flying away with his chocolate. Suddenly a car came speeding along and stopped right in front of Ash and Roan and out of the car stepped Professor Cerise.
"Please help me," Prof. Cerise begged.
"Professor Cerise," Ash said.
"Ash and Roan it's you," Prof. Cerise said.
"What's going on, Professor?" Roan asked.
"My daughter Chloe and her Yamper, they didn't come home last night," Prof. Cerise explained.
"What exactly happened?" Roan asked.
"She was supposed to go to the Wild Area for some research, but she didn't come back," Prof. Cerise explained.
"Do you think she's still in the Wild Area?" Ash asked.
"I don't know, I can't reach her and my wife is super worried," Prof. Cerise said
"Don't worry professor, we'll help you find Chloe," Ash said.
"You are willing to do that?" Prof. Cerise asked.
"Yes, we will," Ash said.
"Pika, Pika," squeaked a determined Pikachu.
"Thank you, guys," Prof. Cerise said.
"Do you have a picture of her?" Roan asked.
"Yes, I've one on my phone," Prof. Cerise said.
Professor Cerise grabbed his Rotom-Phone and sent a picture of Chloe to Ash and Roan.
"We'll make sure we find Chloe," Ash said.
"Thanks you guys so much," Prof. Cerise said.
Professor Cerise got back into his car and drove off. Ash and Roan headed towards the Wild Area to look for Chloe.
In the meantime very somewhere else, Team Rocket was busy getting their balloon ready, until they were disturbed by a Pokémon that walked into their camp.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?' Jessie asked.
"Let me see," James said.
James grabbed his machine and looked up which Pokémon was in the Pokémon located in Team Rocket's camp.
"It's a Cramorant and it's a water/fly type," James read of his search machine.
"I just think it's a strange looking Pokémon," Meowth said.
"I want it to go away," Jessie said.
"Maybe it's hungry," James said.
James grabbed a piece of bread and walked over to the Cramorant.
"Are you hungry?" James asked.
The Cramorant looked at the bread and opened its beak, but instead of taking a bite out of the bread, the Cramorant grabbed James' nose.
"Ouch! Get this Pokémon off my nose!" Yelled James.
James ran over to Jessie and Meowth, and the two of them tried to pull the Cramorant off of James' nose.
"Get if off me," begged James.
"We already trying to do that," Jessie said.
Jessie and Meowth managed to get the Cramorant off James' nose and he ran off into the woods. James turned around the Jessie and Meowth and the two were a bit startled by James' nose, that was now bright red.
"And?" James asked.
"It could be worse," lied Jessie.
"It could be worse? His nose is as big and red as that of a Gurdurr," Meowth stated.
"Ouch my nose," James said, touching his nose.
"Stop complaining and get on with clearing the camp," Jessie said.
"But my nose," James complained.
"We know now that your nose hurts, but that's no reason not to help clean up," Jessie said.
James sighed deeply and continued to clean up the camp with Jessie and Meowth.
A few moments later Ash and Roan were at entrance to the Wild Area and now they had to come up with a plan to find Chloe.
"How are we supposed to go about finding Chloe here? She could be anywhere, because the Wild Area is huge," Roan said.
"Thanks to Raihan, we found Pikachu in no time," Ash said.
"Thanks to his Flygon, which can fly, we don't have a Flygon or a flying type for that matter," Roan said.
"So we need a Pokémon that can fly," Ash said.
"But we don't have one because all we have is Pikachu and Scorbunny," Roan said.
"So we need to find a Pokémon that can fly," Ash said.
"How are we gonna find one?" Roan asked.
Ash looked at Roan." I do have an idea," Ash said.
"What's your idea? And why are you looking at me like that?" Roan asked.
"Do you have any chocolate left?" Ash asked.
"Yes, lots of it," Roan said.
"Can I've some?" Ash asked.
"What are you going to do with it?" Roan asked, getting a chocolate bar out his bag.
Ash picked up the chocolate and held a piece high in the air.
"Hey Rookidee I've got that yummy chocolate here again! Come and get it!" Ash shouted.
"What, are you going to use my chocolate bar for that?" Roan asked.
"Yes," Ash simply said.
"How can you be sure that same Rookidee will come for it? How do you know it won't try to get it?" Roan asked.
"I honestly hadn't thought about that," Ash replied.
Ash put his hand down again and was about to hand the chocolate back to Roan, until something flew by and snatched the chocolate out of Ash's hands.
Ash looked up and saw Rookidee sitting in tree with the piece of chocolate. "The Rookidee," Ash said.
"My chocolate," Roan said.
"Are you ready Pikachu?" Ash asked.
"Pika," Pikachu replied, with a determination in voice, letting Ash know that he was ready to battle the Rookidee
"Wait a minute Ash, how can you be sure this is that same Rookidee?" Roan asked.
"Looked at its beak, it's covered in chocolate," Ash said.
Roan looked closely at Rookidee's beak. "You're right, it's the same one as before," he said.
"Now Pikachu, use QUICK ATTACK! Ash shouted.
Pikachu ran towards the tree where Rookidee was sitting and ran up through the tree trunk and attacked Rookidee. And a fight ensued between Pikachu and Rookidee.
"For such a small Pokémon it that does have a lot of energy, it just doesn't quit," Roan said.
"That's great. What spirit," Ash said.
"I would do something quick before Pikachu gets too tired and you lose your chance at catching the Rookidee," Roan said.
Ash realized Roan was right and moved to action. "Pikachu finish it off and use your THUNDERBOLT!" Commanded Ash.
"Pikachu!" Squeaked Pikachu, using it's Thunderbolt.
Pikachu launched the Thunderbolt towards the Rookidee and the little bird Pokémon was hit and fell down.
"Now Pokébal!" Shouted Ash.
Ash threw an empty Pokéball at the Rookidee and it went in. The Pokéball fell to the ground. Ash looked at the Pokéball and saw how it shook 3 times and finally stopped and Rookidee didn't broke out the Pokéball.
Ash got a big smile on his face and ran towards the Pokéball. "Yes, I just caught a Rookidee," Ash cheered, holding the Pokéball in the air.
"Pi, Pikachu," Pikachu cheered.
"Scorbunny!" Squeaked Scorbunny, as he cheered for Pikachu and Ash.
"Congratulations Ash," Roan said.
"Rookidee I choose you," Ash said, summoning his newly caught Pokémon.
"Rooki," chirped Rookidee.
"Here let me help you first," Ash said.
Ash grabbed a potion out his bag and sprayed Rookidee with it and the Rookidee got startled because of the sting.
"Rookidee you're my first Pokémon I've caught in the Galar Region," Ash said.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"And I need your help right away," Ash said.
"Rooki," Rookidee chirped.
Ash grabbed his Rotom-Phone and pulled out the picture of Chloe, he showed the picture to Rookidee. "This Chloe and her Yamper, and they are somewhere in the Wild Area, we need your help to find her, he explained.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"Can you help us find her?" Ash asked.
"Rooki," chirped Rookidee and nodding its head.
"Okay, Rookidee find Chloe," Ash said.
Rookidee flew off and went into the Wild Area to find Chloe and Yamper.
"Come we will also go into the Wild Area to look for her," Ash said.
"Yes and let's hope we can find her," Roan said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Scorbunny," squeaked Scorbunny.
Ash, Roan, Pikachu and Scorbunny ran into the Wild Area to look for Chloe and Yamper.
In the meantime, Chloe and Yamper were still hiding under the bridge and had stayed there all night, the two had fallen asleep. Chloe slowly opened her eyes and looked around at where she was. When she realized where she was she was very shocked.
"We're still here," Chloe said.
"Yamper, Yamper barked," slowly waking up.
"I thought this nightmare was over," Chloe said.
"Yamp, Yamper," barked Yamper sadly, as he also wasn't to happy with the situation.
"I'm gonna call dad and he will come get us," Chloe said.
Chloe went looking for her Rotom-Phone, but couldn't find it anywhere.
"Oh no, oh no, no, my Rotom-Phone, I lost it," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"I can't call for help," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"It's going to be all right Yamper, I'll figure out a way to get us out of here," Chloe said.
Chloe took Yamper in her lap and tried to reassure him. Suddenly Yamper's tummy began to rumble.
"You're hungry, huh?" Chloe asked.
"Yamp," Yamper barked softly as his face began to turn red out of embarrassment.
"I'm also hungry, I'll go see if I have any left in my bag," Chloe said.
Chloe put Yamper down and grabbed her bag. Chloe opened her bag and looked for food, but unfortunately she could not find anything.
"I've no food left," Chloe said.
"Yamper," barked Yamper in disappointment.
"We've to get out of here," Chloe said.
Chloe crawled out from under the bridge and looked around and there was no sign of the Pidove and Tranquill.
"The coast is clear Yamper, now we're going to get to my bike as fast as we can and get the hell out of here," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"Now we just hope we can find my bike," Chloe said to herself.
Chloe and Yamper came out from under the bridge and started looking for Chloe's bike. After walking for a few minutes, Chloe and Yamper still couldn't find the bike.
"I'm afraid we're lost Yamper," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"I also ran off without looking exactly where I was going," Chloe said.
"Yamp, Yamper," Yamper barked.
'I'm not giving up Yamper, I promise you I will get us out of here," Chloe said.
Chloe and Yamper continued walking. At the same time, Rookidee flew above where Chloe and Yamper were walking, Rookidee spotted the two and flew back in the direction of Ash and Roan.
In the meantime Ash and Roan were also in the Wild Area looking for Chloe.
"This could go on for hours like this," Roan said.
"We can't give up, we made a promise to Professor Cerise that we would find his daughter," Ash said.
"I don't want to give up. I just wonder if we're able to find this way," Roan said.
"We've to try something," Ash said.
"Rooki!" Chirped Rookidee, as the bird flying towards Ash and Roan.
"That's Rookidee," Ash said.
"Let's hope that Rookidee has found Chloe, Roan said.
Rookidee came flying and landed on Ash's arm. Did you find Chloe and Yamper Rookidee?" Ash asked.
"Rookidee nodded his head. "Rooki," Rookidee chirped.
"Can you take us there?" Roan asked.
"Rooki," Chirped Rookidee
"Okay, Rookidee take us to Chloe," Ash said.
Rookidee flew off and headed in the direction where he last saw Chloe and Yamper.
"Let's go after Rookidee," Ash said.
"Yeah," Roan said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
Ash, Roan, Pikachu and Scorbunny ran after Smokey and hoped that he would indeed lead them to Chloe.
In the meantime, Chloe and Yamper were still looking for the bike. But their search was disrupted by Pokémon cries, which Chloe knew all too well,
"They found us, Yamper," said a fearful Chloe.
"Yamp," howled Yamper.
Chloe turned and saw a whole herd of Pidove and Tranquill standing behind her and they looked angry, even angrier than before.
"This doesn't look good for us Yamper," Chloe said.
What's in store for Chloe? Will our heroes find Chloe and Yamper in time before the Pidove and Tranquill do something to them?
