Our heroes are still taking route 3 to finally arrive at Turffield for Ash's Gym Challenge, it seems to be a quiet walk, until suddenly the ground underfoot disappeared.
"Ouch, that hurts," Ash said.
"Where are we?" Roan asked.
"In a pit," Chloe answered.
"I already know who our pit diggers are," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Hello little twerps," Team Rocket said in unison.
"Team Rocket!" Said Ash, Roan and Chloe in unison.
"What do you think of our pit?" Meowth asked.
"We hate it," Chloe said.
"And we hate you guys!" Roan said.
"Oh we hope you don't find it too dirty," James joked.
"I hate when you make those stupid word jokes," Chloe said.
"It's been a while since we dug a pit," Jessie said.
"Makes me think of the good old days," James said.
"Wow you guys are so much older than I thought," Roan said.
"Hey twerp be careful what you say," James said.
"And for the record, I'm not old," Jessie said.
"I'm done with this," Roan said, as he grabbed Scorbunny's Pokéball. "Now Scorbunny!"
"Bunny," squeaked Scorbunny.
"Use EMBER!" Roan commanded.
"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny cried as he used his Ember move.
Scorbunny's Ember hit Jessie hair and it got on fire, Jessie started to scream and run, James and Meowth tried to calm her down and to extinguish the fire
"Scorbunny see if you can find something to get us out of here," Roan said.
Scorbunny looked around and found a piece of rope and walked towards the pit with it.
"Bunny," squeaked Scorbunny showing Roan and the rest the piece of rope he found.
"A rope," Chloe said.
"Scorbunny tie one end of the rope to something and throw the other end into the pit," Roan said.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
Scorbunny tied one end of the rope to the tree and threw the other into the pit. Ash, Roan and Chloe climbed out of the pit. James and Meowth had extinguished the flame in Jessie's hair.
"Okay little twerp now you've to prepare for trouble, nobody messes with my hair," Jessie said
James grabbed Cramorant's Pokeball. "Cramorant!" James began.
"Pikachu THUNDERBOLT!" Ash commaned.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu cried, as he released his Thunderbolt
The Thunderbolt blasted Team Rocket into the air, Ash, Roan and Chloe continued walking. Team Rocket landed somewhere else on route 3.
"Okay this is just humiliating," Meowth said.
"We've never been blasted off so fast," James said.
"Those little twerps are gonna pay for this, especially that Gym twerp, for what he did to my hair, Jessie said.
"It's not as bad as it looks," James aid.
"Where's my brush, I gotta fix this quick," Jessie said.
Jessie realized her brush was nowhere to be found.
"My brush is gone," Jessie said.
"You probably lost during our blast off," James said.
"Oh no what do I do now?" Jessie asked.
"Hat," a unknow Pokémon cried.
"What was that"? Meowth asked.
"Sounded like a Pokémon," Jessie said.
A small Pokémon came running up with Jessie's brush on its head.
"Hat, hat," the Pokémon cried.
"My brush thank you," Jessie said, as she took back her brush.
"Hat," cried the Pokémon
"James what kind of Pokémon is that?" Jessie asked.
"Let's see," James said as he grabbed his search machine and looked op the Pokémon. "It's a Hatenna."
"Thank you for bringing my brush Hatenna," Jessie said.
"Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
"Come let's find balloon," Meowth said.
"Yes, we have to plan something good to get back at the twerps," Jessie said.
"Let's go," James said.
"Bye, Hatenna," Jessie said.
"Hat, Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
Team Rocket left to find their balloon, leaving Hatenna behind.
After walking for a while, Ash, Roan and Chloe arrived at the entrance to Galar Mine 1.
"If we go in to the mine, we will ended up at route 4," Chloe said.
"Don't you think we could get lost in the mine?" Roan asked.
"According to the guidebook, we should follow Carkol and we'll get through the mine just fine," Chloe said.
"Carkol?" Ash asked, as he grabbed his Rotom-Phone to look up the Pokémon.
Carkol is a Rock and Fire Pokémon. By rapidly rolling its legs, it can travel at over 18 mph. The temperature of the flames it breathes exceeds 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit.
"So if we follow this Pokémon we able to go through the mine, without any problem?" Ash asked.
"That's what guide says," Chloe said.
"Let's go inside," Ash said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe entered the cave while Team Rocket was spying on them.
"Okay what's the plan?" James asked.
"We ambush the twerps and steal their Pokémon," Meowth said.
"Good plan," James said.
"Bad plan," Jessie said.
"Why?" James asked.
"Let's face it our arsenal of Pokémon isn't very good," Jessie said.
"What do you mean?" James asked.
"Look at what we have Wobbuffet can only do two attacks," Jessie said.
"Wobbu," Wobbuffet cried.
"Meowth is just a worthless fighter," Jessie said.
"Hey, I take that as a serious insult," Meowth said.
"So our best Pokémon is that stupid blue bird of yours and what has he done for us," Jessie said.
"Well...," James began.
"Exactly," Jessie said.
"So what do you suggest we do Jess?" James asked.
"I say we go catch ourselves some new Pokémon," Jessie said.
"What kind of Pokémon do you want to catch?" James asked.
"I don't care, as long as they're strong," Jessie said.
"James you can look up on your search machine what Pokémon there are that mine?" Meowth asked.
James grabbed his search engine and looked up what Pokémon could be found in Galar Mine 1.
"The Pokémon that can be found there are Rolycoly, Timburr, Woobat, Diglett, Drilbur and Roggenrola," James said.
"That isn't much better than we have," Jessie said.
"Let's follow the twerps then, knowing them they surely lead us somewhere," Meowth said.
Team Rocket also entered the mine.
Ash, Roan and Chloe walked through the mine, following the Carkol Yamper ran ahead into the mine.
"Yamper stay close, don't go too far," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked, as he ran further into the mine.
"Let's hope there aren't any bird Pokémon in the mine," Roan said.
"Indeed I have no desire to get lost here," Chloe said.
"Yamper!" Barked Yamper.
"Yamper come back," Chloe said.
Yamper came running back with a stick in his mouth, he dropped the stick at Chloe's feet.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"What have you found Yamper?" Chloe asked.
Roan picked up the stick. "It's a stick," Roan said.
"It looks like a cane," Ash said.
"That's Professor Magnolia's cane," Chloe said.
"What?" Asked Roan.
"Are you sure about that Chloe?" Ash asked.
"Very sure, I know Professor Magnolia and recognize that cane," Chloe said.
"So Professor Magnolia is here," Ash said.
"Professor Magnolia would never go anywhere without her cane," Chloe said.
"But how did Yamper get it? Where's the Professor?" Roan asked.
"Yamper can you take us to where you found the stick?" Chloe asked.
"Yamp, yamp," barked Yamper.
Yamper ran in the direction where he found Professor Magnolia's wand, Ash, Roan and Chloe followed him.
"Yamp, yamp," barked Yamper.
"Is this where you found the stick?" Chloe asked.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"I don't see the professor anywhere," Roan said.
"Professor Magnolia!" Chloe shouted.
"Professor Magnolia where are you!" Ash shouted.
"Pika, pika!" Pikachu cried.
"Professor please give an answer!" Chloe shouted.
Pikachu's ears began to move, he jumped off Ash's shoulder.
"What is it Pikachu?" Ash asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu squeaked.
"Do you hear something?" Chloe asked.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"Maybe he hears the professor," Roan said.
"Pikachu keep listening carefully and follow the sound," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
Pikachu kept listening for the sound he heard and ran towards it, while Ash, Roan and Chloe followed him. Further, Pikachu stopped walking and saw Professor Magnolia lying on the ground of the mine, A Pokémon was next to her was.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Look it's Professor Magnolia," Chloe said.
"What kind of Pokémon is that next to her?" Roan asked, he pulled up his Pokédex.
Skwovet, the Cheeky Pokémon. A Normal type. Hiding and building up food stores is Skwovet's signature behavior.
"Skwo," squeaked Skwovet.
"Pikachu must have heard Skwovet," Ash said.
"We need to see if Professor Magnolia is okay," Chloe said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe rushed to the unconscious Professor Magnolia.
"Professor Magnolia," Roan said.
"Professor wake up," Chloe said.
"Uhhh," moaned Prof. Magnolia
"Professor, it's me," Chloe said.
"Chloe...?" Prof. Magnolia asked.
"Yeah, it's me Chloe," Chloe said.
"Where am I?" Asked Prof. Magnolia
"You are in Galar Mine 1 Professor," Ash said.
"Oh, yes," Prof. Magnolia
'What happened, Professor?" Chloe asked.
"I'm here for my research, I went to investigate the mine and from then on I don't know anything," Prof. Magnolia said.
Chloe opened her bag and took out a bottle of water and a cookie. "Here Professor take this," Chloe said, as she handed the Professor the water and the cookie.
"Thank you Chloe," Prof. Magnolia said.
Professor Magnolia drank the water and ate the cookie.
"Are you alright again Professor?" Chloe asked.
"Yes, thank you for the water and cookie," Prof. Magnolia
"Skwo," Skwovet squeaked softly.
"Is that your Skwovet?" Roan asked.
"Yes, it's," Prof. Magnolia
"Skwo," Skovet squeaked softly again.
"The poor thing has a sore throat, he's probably been calling for help for a long time," Ash said.
"I have something for his sore throat," Chloe said.
Chloe opened her bag and took out a berry and gave it to Skwovet and then she gave him some cough medicine.
"So your throat will feel better soon," Chloe said.
"Skwo," squeaked Skwovet.
"But you still need to have some rest," Chloe said.
"And take that into your Pokéball," Prof. Magnolia said as she pulled out a Pokéball. "Skwovet return."
Skwovet returned to it's Pokéball and the Professor but the Pokéball away.
"Is there anything we can do for you Professor?" Chloe asked.
"My camp not far from here, would you come and walk there with me?" Prof. Magnolia asked.
"Sure Professor Magnolia that's no problem," Ash said.
Ash and Roan helped Professor Magnolia up and walked with her and Chloe to her camp.
"Thank you for your help," Prof. Magnolia said.
"No problem," Roan said.
"Chloe how are you?" Prof. Magnolia asked.
"I'm doing great," Chloe said.
"Your father told me you have started your journey," Prof. Magnolia said.
"That's right, I'm traveling with Ash and Roan now," Chloe said.
"You remember us, don't you Professor?" Roan asked.
"Sure I remember you guys," Prof. Magnolia. "How are you?"
"We're going fine, Professor," Roan said.
"That's good to hear," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Professor if you don't mind me asking, what are you investigating here?" Ash asked.
"I'm here looking for the Wishing Stars," Prof. Magnolia answered.
"Wishing stars? What are they?" Ash asked.
"The Wishing Stars are an important element to Dynamax," Chloe explained.
"Exactly, and after much research, it could be very possible that the Wishing Stars are here in this mine," Prof. Magnolia said.
"And that's what you were looking for, before we found you?" Roan asked.
"Yes," Prof. Magnolia said.
"But Professor, where did you come here all by yourself? Why did no one come with you?" Chloe asked.
"I may be old, but I can still do many things, like finding the Wishing Stars and I'm going to do that too," Prof. Magnolia said.
"You should get some rest Professor," Chloe said.
"I'm not leaving without finishing my research, I have to do that as a professor," Prof. Magnolia said
"We can help you with your research," Ash said.
"Yes, you know my interest lies in the secrets of Dynamax, so I'd be happy to help," Chloe said.
"It also seems like a great adventure," Roan said.
"Thank you for your help, you're good kids," Prof. Magnolia said.
"I'll make us all some food and then we'll go find the Wishing Stars," Choe said
And while Ash and his friends were enjoying a delicious lunch with the Professor and their Pokémon, they were also spied on by Team Rocket.
"Very interesting this, these Wishing Stars," Jesse said.
"Indeed," Meowth said.
"But what did that old professor said it was for?" Jessie asked.
"I thought she said it was about Dyamaxing," Meowth said.
"And the Wish Stars are the key to that," James said.
"How do you know that James?" Meowth asked.
James pulled out a journal and showed it to Jessie and Meowth. "It's all here in this journal and this article was written by Professor Magnolia," James said.
"Who is Professor Magnolia?" Jessie asked.
"That's that old Professor over there," James said.
"We need to get those Wishing Stars, think of how powerful we will be when we have access to that Dynamax thing," Jessie said.
"We'll rule the Galar region," James said.
"You know what would be an even better idea?" Meowth asked.
"What?" Jessie asked.
"If we make sure the boss gets the Wishing Stars, so he has access to Dynamaxing," Meowth said.
"How do you envision that?" James asked.
Team Rocket Fantasy.
Meowth: "Imagine the boss already has a whole army of Pokémon, but they are not strong enough to take over the Kanto region, then we will give him the Wishing Stars and his army will become much, much stronger. And will the boss finally manage to take over the Kanto region, and then he says..."
Fantasy Giovanni: "I have to thank Meowth and his friends, because now with these Wishing Stars I have the key to rule Kanto."
"He will be so happy then," Jessie said.
"And then it won't just be Kanto, he'll rule the whole world," James said.
"And in return, he'll give us each a region and we'll rule it," Meowth said.
"The Queen of my own region," Jessie said.
"We will be the rulers of the world," Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet," cried Wobbuffet.
"The twerps and the Professor are gone," James said.
"They probably left when we were fantasizing," Meowth said.
"Let's go see if we can find them again," Jessie said.
"And hopefully lead us to the Wishing Stars," James said.
Ash, Roan, Chloe and Professor Magnolia walked through the mine looking for the Wishing Stars, Ash and Roan had been carrying items that Professor Magnolia might need.
"Professor Magnolia?" Ash asked.
"Yes," said Prof. Magnolia
"Can I ask you something?" asked Ash.
"Sure, go ahead," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Why are they called the Wishing Stars?" Ash asked.
"Because many people believe they can make dreams come true," Prof. Magnolia explained.
"Like somebody's greatest wish?" Roan asked.
"Exactly," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Are we close, professor?" Chloe asked.
"If my calculations are correct, the Wishing Stars should be in this area somewhere," Prof. Magnolia
"I don't see anything," Rona said.
"Maybe they're underground or in the wall," Chloe guessed.
"That's very possible," Prof. Magnolia said.
"All right, Roan and I will search the wall and Chloe and the professor will search the ground, Ash suggested.
Ash and Roan grabbed a pickaxe and used the tools to search the wall, Chloe and Professor grabbed a shovel and started digging. Ash punched a hole in the wall and saw a something, he smashed the wall further and saw a strange looking stone in the wall.
"Professor Magnolia I think I found something," Ash said.
"Professor Magnolia walked up to Ash. That's a Wishing Star," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Really?" Ash asked.
"Yes, so they are here after all," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Let's see if there are any more," Roan said.
Ash, Roan, Chloe and Professor Magnolia took a big part the wall down and found more Wishing Stars.
"Do you think you now have enough Wishing Stars for your research Professor?" Chloe asked.
"More than enough," Prof. Magnolia said.
Two mechanical hands appeared and grabbed the Wishing Stars, Ash, Roan, Chloe and Professor turned and saw a big robot with a big R on its belly, the robot continued to grab the Wishing Stars.
"What is happening?" Prof. Magnolia asked.
"That robot is stealing the Wishing Stars," Roan said.
"Who would do something like that?" Prof. Magnolia asked.
"Oh I think we'll get the answer to that soon," Chloe said.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie said.
"And make it double!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said.
"To unite all people within our nation!" James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said.
"Jessie!" Jessie said.
"And James!" James said.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight!" James said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth
"Of course you guys are behind this Team Rocket," Chloe said.
"Who's Team Rocket?" Prof. Magnolia
"Hey old bag, didn't you just listen to our great motto?" A offensive Meowth asked.
"A talking Meowth!" A surprised Prof. Magnolia said.
"Don't be impressed by it Professor, that Meowth and its companies are always trying to steal Pokémon from others," Chloe said.
"A Pokémon trying to steal other Pokémon, how very odd," Prof. Magnolia
"And they don't just steal Pokémon," Roan said.
"Return the Wishing Stars," Ash said.
"Don't think so, these Wish Stars will make us powerful," Jessie said.
"With these Wish Stars, we will soon have an army of Dynamaxed Pokémon and only Team Rocket will have control over them," James said.
Roan grabbed a Pokéball. "I don't think so," Roan said. "Go Scorbunny!"
"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny squeaked.
"We will stop you, Grookey I choose you!" Ash said, as he summoned Grookey
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Cramorant stop them", James said, grabbing Cramorant's Pokéball and summoning him.
But Cramorant didn't go to battle and bite James in the head.
"Serious every time!" James said, as he pulled Cramorant of his head. "Go and battle!"
"Grookey use BRANCH POKE," Ash commanded.
Grookey grabbed his wand and headed for Cramorant, ready to attack, "Grookey," chattered Grookey.
"Cramorant use AIR SLASH," James commanded.
"Quick Scorbunny use QUICK ATTACK," Roan commanded.
"Bunny," squeaked Scorbunny.
Scorbunny ran towards Cramorant and used Quick Attack just in time, before Cramorant could use his attack on Grookey.
"Thanks Roan," Ash said.
"You're welcome, I've got your back," Roan said.
"Then let's get the Wishing Stars back together," Ash said.
"Yeah," Roan said.
"Grookey use SCRATCH!" Ash commanded.
"Scorbunny QUICK ATTACK!" Roan commanded.
Scorbunny ran towards Cramorant and suddenly he was surrounded by fire and hit Cramorant.
"What was that?" Roan asked.
"FLAME CHARGE," Prof. Magnolia said.
"FLAME CHARGE?" Roan asked.
"That's an attack," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Awesome Scorbunny has learned a new attack," Roan said.
"I have an idea to get the Wishing Stars back, you guys can try to distract Team Rocket for as long as possible," Chloe said.
"We should be able to do that," Ash said.
"Yamper, you'll help Grookey and Scorbunny," Chloe said.
"Yamper," barked Yamper.
"For my plan, I'll need Pikachu's help," Chloe said.
"Pika?" Pikachu squeaked.
"Come on, Professor," Chloe said.
Chloe snuck away with Pikachu and Professor and sneaked behind Team Rocket's robot, while Ash and Roan kept fighting.
"Professor do you perhaps have a Pokémon one that can lift a lot?" Chloe asked.
"Yes, I do," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Good, because we'll need it," Chloe said.
Professor grabbed one of her Pokéballs, "Now Machamp," Prof. Magnolia said, summoning her Machamp.
"Machamp," cried Machamp
"A Machamp," Chloe said, as she grabbed her Rotom-Phone and opened up her Pokédex.
Machamp, the Superpower Pokémon. A Fighting type. Machamp's four arms move reflexively, which makes it very fast and allows it to deliver rapid-fire punches.
"What's your plan Chloe?" Prof. Magnolia asked.
"That basket is attached to those straps, if we break those, Machamp will catch the basket with the Wishing Stars," Chloe said.
"How do you break the straps?" Prof. Magnolia
"For that, I need Pikachu's help," Chloe answered.
"Pika?" Pikachu squeaked.
"Pikachu with your IRON TAIL we can break those straps," Chloe explained. "Can you do that?'
Pikachu nodded with his head. "Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"Okay Pikachu IRON TAIL," Chloe commanded.
Pikachu jumped up and broke the straps, the basket of Wishing Stars fell down Machamp caught it.
"Something isn't right," Meowth said.
"What is it?" Jessie asked.
"Where is that twerpette?" Meowth asked.
"I'm right here," Chloe said, as she and Professor Magnolia appeared next to Ash and Roan.
"She got the Wishing Stars", James said.
"No fair, she took them from us," Jessie said.
"They weren't even yours to begin with," Chloe said.
"All right, Pikachu you go," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu cried, as he used Thunderbolt.
Team Rocket got hit by the Thunderbolt and were blasted out of the mine and landed somewhere outside.
"Twice in one day, we lost to those twerps," James said.
"So our wishes didn't come true after all," Meowth said.
"Oh no," Jessie said.
"What?" James asked.
"By being blasting off again, I've lost something," Jessie said.
"What have you lost?" Meowth asked.
"My mirror," Jessie said.
Hatenna came running up an object on her head. "Hat," cried Hatenna.
"My mirror," Jessie said, taking back her mirror.
"Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
"Thank you," Jessie said.
"I think this is the same Hatenna who brought you back your brush," Meowth said.
"I think you're right," Jessie said.
Hatenna jumped onto Jessie's lap and got a smile on her face. Jessie grabbed a Pokéball from her pocket, without being able to say anything the yet, Hatenna pressed the on tip of the Pokéball with her hat and entered the Pokéball. The Pokéball shook three times and then the light dimmed.
"I think I caught a Pokémon," Jessie said.
"So one of our wishes came true after all," James said.
The next day. Ash, Roan and Chloe had spent the night at Professor's camp and were about to leave.
"Thanks for letting us sleep here Professor Magnolia," Chloe said.
"No problem, thank you for helping me find and protect the Wishing Stars," Prof. Magnolia
"No problem," Ash said.
"As thanks I have something for you three," Prof. Magnolia
Professor took out three Dynamax bands and gave Ash, Roan and Chloe each one.
"A Dynamax band," Chloe said.
"Now you also have access to Dynamaxing," Prof. Magnolia said.
"Thank you for this Professor," Roan said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe put on the band and said goodbye to Professor and walked towards the exit of the mine, Professor Magnolia also left the mine.
Later that day. Two figures dressed in knight wears, entered the mine, near the place where the Wish Stars were found.
"Here G021 speaking, G022 and I are in the mine and we found the Wishing Stars," G021 said.
Author Note: I decided to come up with my own evil team in the FanFiction. There was not really an evil team in the Sword and Shield game, Team Yell was not even an evil team. For my team, the grunts are dressed as knights (based on the 1st grunts of Team Plasma) I chose this because I think it fits.
