Our heroes are still on route 5 and took a break to have a nice cozy lunch with all of us.
"Lunch is ready," Chloe said.
"Okay then, Grookey and Rookidee it's time for lunch, Ash said as he summonded his Pokémon.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
Roan took the Pokéballs of Scorbunny and Toxel from his pocket.
"It's lunch time for you too!" Roan said.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Toxel," Toxel hissed.
"Okay Sobble, come on out!" Chloe said.
Chloe tossed Sobble's Pokéball in the air to summon him.
"Okay everyone, say hello to Sobble," Chloe said.
But none of the Pokémon waved or saw anything and simply stared off.
"Why don't you guys say hello?" Chloe asked.
"Maybe it's because no one is standing there," Roan pointed out.
Chloe turned around and saw that Sobble was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly feeling something grabbing her leg, Chloe knelt down carefully.
"Sobble you don't need be afraid, these are your new friends, you are now a member of our family," Chloe said.
Sobble made herself visible again. "Sobble," he clicked.
Sobble turned toward the other Pokémon, still hiding slightly behind Chloe's leg.
"Guys say a hi to Sobble," Chloe said.
The other Pokémon began to greet Sobble warmly, Sobble slowly came out from behind Chloe's leg and liked that the rest of the Pokémon were friendly to him.
"Sobb, Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"We're going to have a nice lunch now," Chloe said.
The Pokémon began to cheer, Chloe scooped up food for everyone, while Ash and Roan handed everything out.
"Enjoy your meal," Chloe said.
And as always, Chloe had made another delicious meal, Ash and Roan liked it, and the Pokémon were enjoying her meal as well. When Sobble finished, he walked over to Chloe with his empty tray.
"What is it Sobble?" Chloe asked.
"Sobb, Sobble?" Sobble clikced.
"Would you like some more?" Chloe asked.
Sobble nodded his head. "Sobble," he clicked.
"Then I'll give you some more," Chloe said.
Chloe grabbed the tray and walked over to the pan and scooped up some more food for Sobble. She walked back and handed the tray back to Sobble and he started eating right away.
"Enjoy your meal Sobble," Chloe said.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"I'm glad you like it, Chloe said with a smile on her face.
Chloe happily watched Sobble eat and was pleased that he was becoming more comfortable with her. After the lunch, the dishes were done and the three friends decided to stay and set up camp here for tonight.
"Okay, guys let's go train for the next gym," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Do you know who the next Gym Leader is yet, Ash?" Roan asked.
"Well according to the guide it's Nessa, she's a water-type expert," Ash said.
"You finally read the guidebook," Chloe said.
"Yeah, I don't want to look like an idiot," Ash said.
"I'm proud of you," Chloe said.
"And do you know how many Pokémon she uses?" Roan asked.
"She uses three Pokémon, so that's perfect because then I can use all my Pokémon," Ash said.
"And you have a good advantage, Pikachu and Grookey are both very strong against Water-Types, Chloe said.
"Yep, but you should never underestimate anyone, even if they are at a disadvantage, Ash said.
"Plus Nessa is probably used to trainers using Pokémon at an advantage, so I'm sure she has a strategy for that, Roan said.
"I think so, too," Ash said.
"So what's your plan for now?" Roan asked.
"I saw a field not far from her, that seems like a good place for some special training," Ash said.
"Good luck Ash," Chloe said.
"Thank you," Ash said. "Come on guys."
Ash's Pokémon walked with him and headed toward the spot he had chosen.
"Okay soon is our second Gym Challenge and this time all three of you will fight," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"Groo," Grookey chattered.
"We don't know what kind of Gym Mission awaits us and what Pokémon Nessa will use, But one thing I do know and that is that you are hard workers and you are going to give your all, Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"So let's get to work!" Ash said.
Ash's Pokémon responded enthusiastically and participated well in the training. Two hours later and the training was still going well. Grookey was super enthusiastic.
"You are doing a great job Grookey," Ash said.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
Grookey turned his attention on the training again and suddenly did an attack he had never done before.
"Grookey?" Grookey chattered.
"That looked like RAZOR LEAF," Ash said.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"That's great Grookey you learned a new attack," Ash cheered.
"Groo, Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"I think that's enough for today, let's go back to camp and get some rest," Ash said.
All three Pokémon nodded their heads and walked with Ash back to camp.
"Hey how did the training go?" Chloe asked.
"Great, Grookey learned a new attack," Ash said.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"That's great," Roan said.
"Good for you Grookey," Chloe said.
"Groo," Grookey chattered.
"And what are you going to do now Ash?" Roan asked.
"Now we get some rest," Ash said, as he sat down on the ground. "Pikachu, Rookidee and Grookey have earned it."
"We were just relaxing here, too," Roan said.
"Maybe we can all play a game now?" Ash suggested.
"Actually, I had something else in mind," Chloe said.
"What do you want to do Chloe?" Roan asekd.
"Roan, I would love to have a double battle with you," Chloe said.
"You want a battle against me?" Roan asked.
"Yeah, your Scorbunny and Toxel against my Yamper and Sobble," Chloe said.
"Why?" Roan asked.
"We both have two Pokémon now and I'm curious to see how a battle between us will go," Chloe said.
"Okay, I'll do it, I accept your challenge," Roan said.
"I'll be the referee," Ash said.
Roan and Chloe got up and ready for their battle.
"This double battle is between Roan and Chloe, you each use two Pokémon, the first one whose two Pokémon are unable to battle loses," Ash explained.
"Okay," Roan said.
"Roger that," Chloe said.
"Who's gonna make the first move?" Roan asked.
"How about we attack at the same time," Chloe suggested.
"Sounds good to me," Roan said.
"All right then, let the battle begin!" Ash said.
"Scorbunny use EMBER and Toxel use NUZZLE," Roan commanded.
"Yamper use NUZZLE and Sobble use your WATER GUN," Chloe commanded.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Toxel," Toxel hissed.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
The four Pokémon's attacks collide in the air and deal damage.
"Toxel use NUZZLE on Sobble," Roan commanded.
"Tox," Toxel hissed.
Yamper protect Sobble by using BITE on Toxel," Chloe commanded.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
Yamper ran to Toxel and used his Bite attack on him, Toxel tried to shake Yamper off, but Yamper kept holding on.
"Okay Sobble use BUBBLE on Scorbunny," Chloe commanded.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked
"Jump up Scorbunny and then use your DOUBLE KICK," Roan commanded.
"Scor," Scorbunny squeaked.
Scorbunny jumped high into the air, avoiding Sobble's attack and then used his Double Kick on him.
"Sobble," Sobble cried.
"Oh no Sobble," Chloe said.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Are you okay?" Can you go on?" Chloe asked.
Sobble stood up and nodded his head. "Sobble," he clicked.
"Good," Chloe said.
"Yamper still got Toxel, I need to do something," Roan said. "Toxel use ACID."
Toxel used his attack on Yamper and he let go.
"Yamper are you okay?" Chloe asked.
"Yamp, Yamper," Yamper barked.
Chloe and Roan are both doing well in this battle, really curious to see who will win," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked as he agreed with his best friend.
Roan and Chloe continued their fight and in between, Team Rocket's balloon floated above the camp of Ash and his friends and were spying on them.
"What are they doing?" Jessie asked.
"They're having a Pokémon battle," James said.
"Probably to train or something," Meowth said.
"Who is the blue Pokémon that has the twerpette?" Jessie asked.
"Let me look it up," James said.
James got out his search machine and looked up the Pokémon.
"That's a Sobble, the Water Starter Pokémon of the Galar Region," James said.
"Since when does the little twerpette have that Pokémon?" Jessie asked.
"No idea," Meowth said. "But look at them."
"What is it?" James asked.
"Our original twerp has a Grookey, that Gym twerp has a Scorbunny and now the twerpette has a Sobble," Meowth pointed out. "All 3 of them now have the starter Pokémon of this region."
"The starter trio," James said.
"A perfect trio, so perfect that we have to steal them and give them to the boss," Meowth said.
"And then what?" James said.
"How do you imagine it Meowth?" Jessie asked.
"Like this," Meowth said.
Team Rocket Fantasy:
Meowth: Imagine that the boss is a little sad, nothing to nobody can cheer him up, not even his Persian and the reason he is so sad because he never really has a starter Pokémon, then give him these three at once and he is then so happy that he says...,
Giovanni: Thanks to Meowth and his friends, I really feel like a happy Pokémon trainer now because I got these Pokémon from them.
"He will be forever grateful to us," James said.
"He will reward us," Jessie said.
"We will become rich and powerful," Meowth said.
"Hooray!" The evil trio cheered.
"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet cried.
After half an hour, Roan and Chloe were still engaged in hu fight, but both trainers noticed then their Pokémon began to tire.
"They all looked tired," Roan said.
"How about we stop the battle and make it a tie?' Chloe suggested.
"Deal," Roan said.
"And that makes to battle to a end," Ash siad.
"Scorbunny and Toxel you both fought very well," Roan said.
"Scor," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Toxel," Toxel hissed.
"Yamper and Sobble I'm so proud of you both," Chloe said.
"Yamp, Yamp, Yamper," Yamper barked.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"You and your Pokémon bought fought very well," Ash said.
"Thank you Ash," Roan said.
"Was interesting to watch," Ash said.
"We all worked hard, I say we deserve a treat now," Chloe said.
"And what have you got Chloe?" Roan said.
"I made macrons," Chloe said.
"Delicious," Ash said.
Chloe walked over to her bag and pulled out a tray of macrons and handed them out to everyone. Everyone began to eat and was again enjoying something Chloe had made. Suddenly, three mechanical hands appeared from the sky and grabbed Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Pika, Pi," Pikachu squeaked.
"Muhaha!"
"Oh no," Ash said.
"It's them," Roan said.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie said.
"And make it double!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said.
"To unite all people within our nation!" James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said.
"Jessie!" Jessie said.
"And James!" James said.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight!" James said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!" Cried Wobbuffet.
"Team Rocket," Roan said.
"Of course it's you guys," Chloe said.
"What are you up to with our Pokémon?" Ash asked.
"This cute trio will make a nice present for our boss," Jessie said.
"That won't happen," Ash said.
"Give our Pokémon back," Chloe said.
"Let me think," Jessie said. "No!"
Meowth pulled out a remote and pressed a button, black balls dropped down and surrounded Ash, Roan and Chloe. Meowth pressed a button and smoke came out of the balls and filled the field with smoke.
"Goodbye twerps," James said.
"Come back!" Roan said.
"You won't get away with this," Ash said.
"We gotta do something!" Roan said.
"I can't see anything through the smoke," Chloe said.
"Rookidee, help us get rid of the smoke!" Ash commanded.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
Rookidee flapped his wings as hard as he could and the smoke began to dissipate.
"The smoke is gone," Ash said. "Thank you Rookidee."
"But so is Team Rocket, I don't see them anywhere," Roan said. said
"I think they must have flown towards the woods," Chloe said.
"What makes you think that?" Roan asked.
"That's the only place they can hide, nothing else is here," Chloe said.
"It could be," Ash said.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"Rookidee, see if you can find Team Rocket somewhere in the woods," Ash commanded.
Rookidee nodded his head. Rookidee," he chirped.
"Okay then, thank you Rookidee," Ash said.
Rookidee took off and flew towards the woods
"Let's head in that direction too," Ash said.
Yes, come on," Chloe said.
Roan took Toxel's pokéball from his pocket. "Toxel return."
Toxel went back into his Pokéball and Roan put it back in his pocket and together with Ash and Chloe he ran toward the forest.
Chloe was correct, as Team Rocket had landed somewhere in the forest and Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble were trapped in a cage with the three of them. And Team Rocket was celebrating their victory with a glass of lemonade.
"We did it," Jessie said.
"About time, too," James siad.
"We finally beat those little twerps," Meowth said.
"And tomorrow we'll send starter trio to the boss," James said.
"Hurray!"
Team Rocket toasted and sipped their lemonade while the three starter Pokémon watched.
"Groo, Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Scorbunny, bunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
Scorbunny stroked Sobble's back and tried to reassure him. "Scorbunny," he squeaked.
"Grookey," Grookey, Grookey chattered.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
Grookey turned and pointed to the edge of the hill where their cage was close by.
"Groo, Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Sobb, Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
And while Team Rocket along with their Pokémon began their feast, Ash, Roan and Chloe were in the woods looking for their Pokémon.
"Scorbunny!" Roan shouted.
"Sobble!" Chloe shouted.
"Grookey!" Ash shouted.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu squeaked.
"They aren't here," Roan siad.
"We must find them, Sobble must be so afraid," Chloe said.
"It'll be okay, Chloe and we're talking Team Rocket, I'm sure they'll mess up somehow and we'll have our Pokémon back, Roan said.
"Maybe Rookidee has already found them," Ash said.
"Speaking of the little bird, there you have him," Roan said as he pointed to the sky.
Ash and Chloe turned to see Rookidee flying in. Rookidee landed exhausted on the ground.
"Rookidee," Ash said as he picked up Rookidee from the ground.
"Rookidee," Rookidee chirped.
"Did you find anything?" Ash asked.
Rookidee shook his head. "Rookidee," he chirped.
"We've to look further," Chloe said
"Rooki, Rookidee," Rookidee chirped as he was making himself ready to fly again.
"No, Rookidee, you're too exhausted," Ash said.
"Rooki," Rookidee chirped.
Ash grabbed Rookidee's Pokéball. You've earned your rest, "Rookidee return," Ash said, calling Rookidee back to his Pokéball
"Let's go," Chloe said.
"Grookey!" Ash shouted.
"Sobble!" Chloe shouted.
"Scorbunny!" Roan shouted.
"Pika!" Pikachu squeaked.
"Yamper!" Yamper barked.
The three trainers walked further into the woods to find their Pokémon.
A few moments later, Team Rocket and their Pokémon had fallen asleep after eating their banquet and this was for Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble to attempt an escape.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Bunny, Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Sobble?" Sobble clicked.
"Grookey?" Grookey shattered.
Sobble nodded his head. "Sobble," he clicked.
Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble walked toward the side of the cage closest to the edge. Grookey counted down and the three Pokémon pushed against the cage and it began to move a little bit.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
Again the three Pokémon pushed against the cage and they kept doing this until at one point they got the cage over the edge and the cage went down the hill, the cage bumped into a rock and the cage jumped open and the three Pokémon climbed out, but the sound had awakened Team Rocket.
"What was that?" James asked.
"No idea," Meowth said.
"They were gone," Jessie said.
"Who?" James asked.
"Those Pokémon, they're gone, Jessie said.
"What!" Meowth asked.
Team Rocket ran toward the edge and saw that Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble were running away.
"Quick Hatenna stop those Pokémon," Jessie commanded.
"You too, Cramorant," James commanded.
But Hatenna and Cramorant did nothing, Jessie and James turned and saw that their Pokémon were sleeping.
"Get up you guys and go after those Pokémon!" Jessie yelled.
But Hatenna and Cramorant kept on sleeping, much to Jessie's irritation.
"Fine then we'll have to do it ourselves again," Jessie said as she grabbed Hatena's Pokéball. "Hatenna return."
Cramorant you too," James said as he called Cramorant back to it's ball.
"And now as fast as possible chase after those pokémon," Jessie said.
"The boss won't be happy if he doesn't get his Pokémon," Meowth said.
"Let's hope we can catch them!" James said.
Team Rocket left their hiding place and went after the three starter Pokémon.
Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble had no idea which way they were running, all they had in mind was to get as far away from Team Rocket as possible and find their trainers. It was slowly starting to get dark and the three Pokémon had no idea where they were.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
Grookey walked up to Sobble and put his hand on his shoulder. "Groo, Grookey," he chattered.
"Sobble, Sobble," Sobble clicked, pointing towards the sky as the sun was going down.
"Bunny, Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked as he pointed to Grookey's stick.
"Grookey?" Grookey chattered.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
Grookey gave his stick to Scorbunny, who held it right in front of his mouth and Grookey now knew what Scorbunny was up to. Before Scorbunny could do anything, Grookey grabbed his stick
"Grookey, Grookey," Grookey chattered angerly
Scorbunny pointed at the sun that was almost gone. "Scorbunny, Scorbunny," he squeaked.
"Grookey," Grookey clicked as he put his stick away.
Grookey walked towards a bush and grabbing a branch from the ground, he carried the branch to Scorbunny. Scorbunny held the branch in front of his mouth and used EMBER on the top of the branch, making a torch. The three Pokémon began walking again, with Scorbunny leading the way.
Ash, Roan and Chloe were also still in the forest looking for their Pokémon.
'I'm hungry," Roan said.
"We won't eat until we find our Pokémon," Chloe said.
"Chloe, I'm exhausted and I'm also very hungry," Ash said.
Chloe took off her bag and took out some sandwiches and gave them to Ash and Roan, she herself also took a sandwich. She also grabbed some Pokémon food and gave it to Pikachu and Yamper.
"Sorry, I'm just worried and I want Sobble back," Chloe said.
"We all want our Pokémon back," Roan said.
"And we'll get them back, we won't let Team Rocket get away with this," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Yeah, I know, let's just eat and then sleep, we need some rest," Chloe said.
The three friends ate their sandwiches, they grabbed their sleeping bags and went to sleep.
Somewhere else, Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble were still walking in the forest. Sobble stopped walking and felt to the ground feeling exhausted.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Scor, Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
Sobble pointed to his feet. "Sobb, Sobble," he clicked.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Scorbunny?" Scorbunny squeaked.
Grookey looked around and then saw a hollow tree. The three Pokémon walked toward the tree, Scorbunny put out the torch, Grookey gathered some leaves and put them in the hollow tree. The three Pokémon went into the hollow tree and lay down on the leaves.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Sobble, Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Grookey, Grookey," Grookey chattered.
Scorbunny nodded his head. "Bunny," he squeaked.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
The three Pokémon closed their eyes and tried to get some sleep and hoped they would soon be reunited with their trainers.
The next morning, the three Pokémon woke up and all three were hungry.
"Bunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered
"Sobb, Sobble," Sobble clicked.
Grookey and Scorbunny looked in the direction that Sobble was looking up and in the tree across from them were hanging apples. Grookey went to the tree, climbed it and took three apples from it, he carried the apples to Scorbunny and Sobble and they began to eat from the apples.
After they finished eating the apples, the three Pokémon resumed their mission to find their trainers. But after walking again for a while, they stopped walking.
"Sobb, Sobble," Sobble clicked.
"Grookey?" Grookey chattered.
"Scorbunny?" Scorbunny squeaked.
The three Pokémon still had no idea which direction to walk in. But even before they could take another step, they heard sounds coming from the bushes.
"Sobble," Sobble clicked.
Grookey picked up his stick and stood ready. "Grookey," he chattered.
Out of the bushes jumped Hatenna and Cramorant and landed in front of the three Pokémon.
"Hatenna," Hatenna cried.
"Cram," Cramorant quacked.
Team Rocket arrived and saw that their Pokémon, had surrounded the three starter Pokémon.
"Good, you found them," Jessie said.
"You three, ake it easier and surrender," James said.
"Or else," Meowth said.
"Scor, Scorbunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Meowth what's he saying?" James aid.
"He says, they won't surrender," Meowth said.
"Okay you asked for it," Jessie said. "Hatenna use DISARMING VOICE."
"But before Hatenna could even use her attack, Grookey ran at her and knocked her down with his stick.
"Oh no, Hatenna," Jessie said.
"Cramorant use your PECK on Grookey!" James commanded.
"Cramorant!" Cramorant quacked.
Cramorant ran at Grookey, ready to attack him. Scorbunny ran towards Cramorant and used Quick Attack to block his attack
"Scorbunny?" Scorbunny squeaked as he turned around to Grookey to see if he was okay.
Grookey gave Scorbunny thumbs up. "Grookey," he chattered.
"Don't give up, keep fighting until those three Pokémon are in our hands again," Jessie said.
"Yes, go for it Cramorant!" James said.
The battle between the three starter Pokémon and Team Rocket's Pokémon continued.
Ash, Roan and Chloe were also already up, walking through the forest when they suddenly heard the battle sounds.
"What was that?" Chloe asked.
"That sounds like Pokémon having a battle," Ash said.
"Think that are our Pokémon?" Roan asked.
"There's only one way to find out," Ash said.
The three trainers ran towards the sounds, when they arrived they saw that their Pokémon had defeated Team Rocket's Pokémon.
"Oh no," Jessie said.
"We lost," James said.
"Hatenna return, Jessie said.
"Cramorant return," James said.
"Scorbunny," Roan said.
"Grookey," Ash said.
"Sobble," Chloe said.
The three Pokémon turned to their trainers and were happy to see them.
"Oh no the twerps!" The evil trio said.
"Yes, it's us and now we are here to make you pay," Roan said.
"For stealing our Pokémon," Chloe said.
"It's payback time," Ash said.
"Oh no."
"What do you say we leave this honor to Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble," Chloe suggested.
"Good idea," Ash said.
"Totally agree with that," Roan said.
"All right," Chloe said.
"Scorbunny use EMBER", Roan commanded.
"Grookey use RAZOR LEAF," Ash commanded.
"Sobble use BUBBLE," Chloe commanded.
The three Pokémon used their attacks on Team Rocket. There was a bang and Team Rocket shoot into the air.
"And that's yet another plan that fails," Meowth said.
"It was predictable," Jessie said.
"Just like this," James said.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket yelled.
"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet cried.
Team Rocket shot further into the air, until they could no longer be seen. The three Pokémon ran toward their trainers and jumped into their arms.
"I'm so happy to see you again Scorbunny," Roan said.
"Bunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Grookey I missed you," Ash said.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Sobble are you all right?" Chloe asked.
Sobble nodded his head. "Sobb," he clicked.
"I'm so glad to have you back," Chloe said.
"We're together again," Ash cheered.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked cheering along.
"What do you say we have lunch?" Chloe suggested.
"Good idea," the others said.
