Chapter 14: The Dangerous Situation, the Hijack Ryuu-Shin-Kis
In the base, Dean, Aaron, Alisa and Claire were in the training room. Dean and Alisa were standing on plastic poles that stood about five feet above the floor for their sparring match while Claire and Aaron watched on the ground.
To keep their match interesting, Dean was blind folded while Alisa was armed with a wooden practice sword. The Red Ranger had assumed a calm and controlled martial arts stance and waited patiently for Alisa to make the first move.
Alisa then moves to Dean by jumping on different poles and the Red Ranger follows her movements using his hearing, Alisa notices that she then took quieter steps to approach while making loud ones in an attempt to confuse him.
Dean continues to listen carefully as Alisa manages to sneak up behind him. Alisa then thrusts the wooden sword at him, and Dean skillfully avoids it before she trusts him again and Dean avoids that too.
Alisa then attacks him at side and Dean blocks it before she attacks his legs and he avoids it by jumping over the wooden sword and when he landed on the pole once again, Alisa swung at his head and Dean avoided it by bending forward.
Dean then turns in front of the Yellow Ranger, who continues to attack him with the practice sword and Dean avoids her attacks, the Red Ranger then counterattacks by landing a sweep kick at Alisa's legs knocking off of the pole she was standing on.
While Aaron and Claire had worried looks, Alisa managed to land between two poles using her hands and feet, they sighed in relief.
Dean then heard Alisa standing on a pole once again, and he assumed his calm and controlled stance. Alisa then begins to move around the Red Ranger as he follows her movements with his hearing while waiting for her to make her move.
Alisa then stops behind him, she then had an idea for a different approach for him to lower his guard.
Alisa soon throws her practice sword to the right while jumping to Dean's left.
The practice sword then falls to the ground while colliding against the poles making some noises which get Dean's attention as he turns to it while Alisa stops to his left.
She then kicks Dean to knock him off of his pole, but Dean sees it coming as he blocks it with his arm. Alisa was surprised by this before Dean pushed her leg back and sweep kicks on her other leg which knocked her off of the pole she was standing on.
As Alisa braces herself from hitting the floor, Dean catches her by grabbing onto her shirt. As Alisa looks at him, Dean smiles at the Yellow Ranger before he removes his blindfold.
"Looks like I won again, Alisa." Dean said, and Alisa smiles before he helps stand on the floor and he jumps down to the floor.
"I swear…One of these days I'm going to beat that record of yours." Alisa said and Dean chuckles.
"We'll see about that." Dean said before their friends approached them.
"But still, you put up a good fight. I think that's what really matters." Claire told her.
"Yeah, I'm with Claire on that one." Aaron said in agreement.
"Thanks, I guess." Alisa said before she noticed that someone was missing, and it was the one who wore blue. "Wait, where's Shin?"
"Oh yeah. I don't see him here either." Aaron said.
"I did." Dean said before he rubs the back of his neck. "When I woke up this morning, he was in his lab."
"I see." Alisa said in understanding before she sighed and placed a finger on her temple. "I swear. I know science is his first and only love, but he should train more on his body along with that mind of his."
"Yeah, but that's just who Shin is sometimes." Claire said.
"Well…I guess there's no denying that." Alisa said.
"But I think he only does it to keep his mind off things. Especially after what Embryo did." Dean said and the others had saddened looks on their faces.
"Yeah. That would make sense." Aaron said.
"And you still hadn't told Salamandinay and the others about that?" Claire asked. Dean sighed and shook his head.
"No, I hadn't. Because you know as well as I do it's my place to tell them." Dean told them.
"Okay, I guess I'll agree to that. But don't you think they should at least know the truth?" Claire asked.
"Don't you think I know that? But even if we did, I think Shin wants to do it on his own terms." Dean said and Aaron nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. Not to mention, he'll probably want to take responsibility for what happened." Aaron said.
"But still, it wasn't his fault that it happened. Embryo was just using him." Claire said.
"But in Shin's mind, he'll always think otherwise." Alisa said.
In his lab, Shin had his head on the table as he had fallen asleep. As he was sleeping, Shin's eyebrows were twitching and had a small amount of sweat on his face as he was having a nightmare right now.
Shin was doing final systems check after building seven machines but that's when he noticed something was off.
"Wait this can't be right." Shin said, which got the attention of a man with long blonde hair and wearing a green suit.
"Is something wrong, Shinya?" He asked.
"But we agreed that only the Hysterica should have those. Doctor, what are you planning?"
"You always have been too smart for your own good." He said before he snapped his fingers which activated the seven machines.
Shin soon morphs to fight them, but the machines eventually win, and Shin has fallen to the ground. The Blue Ranger raised his head as the man looked down at him with a smile on his face.
"Please…Don't do this…" Shin pleaded.
But he just chuckles and leaves the Blue Ranger behind.
"Farewell, Shinya. I'll always remember the work we did together."
"No…Dr. Embryo…" Shin mutters as debris from the ceiling falls on top of him and all he could see was darkness.
Shin woke up as his eyes shot open before he stood up while screaming.
"Aaaaahhhh!"
Shin took a moment to pant before he placed a hand on his face in frustration.
"Damn it…Damn it!" Shin said before he slams his fist on the table then tears begin to fall on it as he begins to shed those same tears. "Just why…why did you do it?"

(Instrumental) (As the song starts, two Earths appear one at a time before they collide against each other creating a flash of light which blinded the screen.)
(Sono te nobashi te mabayui ashita o tsukamitore! Mugen no sora hamatake Believe in Nexus!) (Five of the Nexus Zords had appeared as the Racer, Wolf, and Dozer Zords were racing on a large road while the Chopper and Falcon Zords were flying above them before they turned into a flash of light and flew into the vast open sky before the story's title appeared on screen.)
(Araburu kono shoudo daremino tomiranai!) (The Nexus Rangers were standing on a hill as they looked at the town where the Children of Aura resides as some of them in DRAGON form flew above them as they watched them in awe.)
(Hiri asa mi kirikou o taka maru kono Heart Beat!) (Then it changes to a split screen with Salamandinay looking at her Enryugo as it was still incomplete, and Ange who was in her room in Arzenal as she was seated on her bed while looking at her ring, before it changes to Embryo and behind him was a man hidden in darkness holding a Morpher in his hand.)
(Bi chinai sou o natato sekawaerai!) (Then it changes showing an army of Xedroids and behind them were Prince Crimson, General Swartz, and Cyber.)
(Koko de oarasatakunai Go For It!) (Next the screen changes to the Rangers commencing their Morphin Sequence as they Morph into their suits before their helmets appeared.)
(Tachiagare kodoku ni obiekuru e naide!) (The screen changes showing a fleet of Xe-Fighters and an army of Xe-Bots charging forward to attack, then changes to the Nexus Rangers loading their Zord Cards into their Morphers as they soon appear, and the Rangers jump into them.)
(Nakama ma batte irukoto mou ichido omoidase!) (In his cockpit, the Nexus Red Ranger inserts his Battle Mode Card into his Morpher and his Racer Zord changes into the said mode.)
(Kowaku wa naisa akirame wa shinai donna tsugoi yatsu ni mo make wa shinai itsudatte o kino yuuki de Believe In Nexus!) (Then each of the Nexus Zord launch respective attacks on their enemies before the Kaiser Sphere in the sky. Then the Zords combine forming the Nexus Prime Megazord, and then energy appears around the Megazord before it flies at the Kaiser Sphere to attack and when it collides against the Sphere a large flash of light appears blinding the screen. Then it changes to both Earths before the Nexus Rangers along with the villain leaders appeared as they faced each other.)
In a hangar and manufacturing wing, several members of the Children of Aura were building parts of large machines. These young women were members of Salamandinay's personal engineering and science department.
Each of them was wearing specialized gear for protection along with the tools to build specialized machine parts and weapons.
Some were working on arms with weapons attached to them, including a type of beam rifle.
There was one who stuck out as she was wearing modified clothes that were designed from the past world and was standing in front of three certain machines.
Along with wearing a brown tunic, she was wearing a modified bomber jacket that exposed her wings along with boots and fingerless gloves. She had shoulder-length brown hair with a braid tied to the side and had brown eyes.
This is Chiaki, Salamandinay's chief engineer.
Chiaki was typing on a tablet to check the systems of the three machines.
Each machine was in a different color and was missing some parts, one was colored blue and was missing a left arm and had a golden blade attachment on its right forearm.
One was colored green and was missing its right arm and has a blaster attachment on its left forearm.
The one in the center looks very important though. It was colored red and was missing both arms, but it still had shoulder guards that were opened which showed hidden weapons and had several cables attached to them.
These three machines were the Children of Aura's secret weapons, ones that will finally bring this war with Embryo to an end and help them save Aura.
"Soryugo's power core is stable. The Hekiryugo's targeting system is still at 62%, but it wouldn't take too long to correct. Now for the Enryugo…" Chiaki said before she brings out the schematic of the red machine and checks the connection between its power core and shoulder weapons, but an error appears on the screen. "Blast it. Not again. What could we be doing wrong?"
That's when she was receiving a call from Salamandinay, she soon answered it as the Princess of the Freyja had appeared on the screen.
"Lady Salamandinay." Chiaki said.
"Hello, Chiaki. How is the progress for the Ryuu-Shin-Kis?" Salamandinay asked.
"Slow and steady, my lady. But both the Soryugo and Hekiryugo are showing promising results. But as for the Enryugo…the connection between its Quantum-Spatial Drive and the cannons still can't be stabilized." Chiaki told her.
"I fear as much. But I'll be arriving soon, hopefully we'll be able to figure out the cause of it soon." Salamandinay said and Chiaki smiled to hear that.
"That is good to hear. But you'll be bringing those Ranger friends with you?" Chiaki asked.
Even from here, Chiaki and her team had heard about the Nexus Rangers appearance and how they defended their home and their people from the Kaiser Empire. She wanted to meet them for some time.
Salamandinay shook her head.
"No. I'm afraid they won't be arriving with me."
"So, you hadn't told them yet?" Chiaki asked.
"I hadn't. They may not approve of it, and I don't want to re-open their old wounds. In any case, we can discuss this later once I arrive." Salamandinay told her before she ended the transmission.
Despite understanding Salamandinay's reasoning, Chiaki still feels a bit disappointed about this. Like most of the women here, she was looking forward to meeting the men of the Nexus Rangers, especially the red one known as Dean Reilly since Salamandinay always speaks so highly of him.
"Oh well, no use dwelling on it. I should just focus on the task in hand." She said to herself as she went back to checking the systems of the Ryuu-Shin-Kis.
But then Chiaki and her team heard a loud banging on the hangar doors. They look before an explosion appears, and the doors fall to the ground.
As everyone coughed and waved the smoke away, they saw a large number of people entering the hangar/manufacturing wing, except they weren't people.
Entering the hangar as a legion of Xedroids and leading them was the Kaiser Empire's very own chief-scientist, Cyber.
"Wait…Are you…?" Chiaki said.
Cyber then looks at the machinery in the room before he looks up at the three machines they were working on for years and did a scan on them with his cybernetic eyes to get a good look of their inner parts and power cores.
While the blue and green ones were impressive, what really got his attention was the red machine as it had an even more powerful energy core and had two weapons installed into its very shoulders.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Cyber said.
In the Nexus Rangers' base, Shin was still in his lab as he was watching the recording on how Embryo had destroyed the world using the seven Ragna-mails.
He had watched this recording several times after waking up from his 500-year slumber and hadn't stopped. After the recording stopped, Shin placed his hands over his eyes. He then remembers a certain someone's words.
"Always remember Shinya. A man's intelligence is a gift. A gift that should serve mankind and bring us to a better tomorrow."
Shin grits his teeth and slams his fist on the table.
"Damn it…Why can't I get his voice out of my head?" Shin questions himself.
Then the alarms suddenly went off which got Shin's attention before he heard Pixel's voice in the PA systems.
"Emergency! Emergency! All Rangers are to assemble in the command room immediately!"
Shin sighed before he stood up and left the lab to head to the command room.
"So help me if this is another false alarm from Dean…" Shin said.
Shin arrived at the command room where the others were waiting for him, and Pixel was typing on her keyboard.
"This is another one of your field trips, Dean?" Shin questions the Red Ranger but Dean shakes his head.
"No, I'm afraid it's not this time. What's the situation Pix?" Dean asked.
"It's nothing new, just another attack from the Kaiser Empire." Pixel told them.
"You're right. That isn't new at all." Claire said.
"Yes. But it's where they're attacking that really concerns me." Pixel said before she brings out a map and it begins to zoom in to the location where the Kaiser Empire are attacking.
As Shin looks at the longitude and latitude of the location, and he recognizes those numbers anywhere, in fact it was something he will never forget.
"Wait…The location…It can't be…" Shin mutters before the exact location appeared on the screen and it was an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
The island had a jungle covered mountain with some beaches around it, but strangely the center front and coast of the island was missing and in its place was a near-perfect circle that had been cut out of the rock.
Shin's eyes widened in horror as he knew that island quite well and the others recognized that location as well.
"Wait…Isn't that?" Alisa said.
They soon see Shin rushes to the transporter as he morphs.
"Wait, Shin!" Dean calls out.
But Shin ignores him as he quickly uses the transport where the area of attack was.
"Damn it…Come on everyone, we're going after him." Dean said and the others nodded in agreement.
They then head to the transporter and use their Morphers to transform.
"Access the Morphin Grid!" They said as they morphed and used the transporter to follow Shin.
Cyber's legion of Xedroids were able to take control of the island with minimal ease. Some Xedroids were stationed outside in the forests and beaches while the rest were in the hangar and had captured Salamandinay's engineering team.
They were on their knees with their hands behind their heads while Cyber was standing in front of the Ryuu-Shin-Kis as he was using Chiaki's tablet to look at the blueprints of each machine and so far, he was deeply impressed which is something that never happened.
"I have to say, I'm impressed that you lowly lifeforms were able to create powerful machines such as these. You should feel honored, because that rarely happens." Cyber told them but coming from him Chiaki didn't feel all that flattered.
"Hmph! Coming from a tyrant like you, it doesn't mean anything to me." Chiaki told him.
Cyber then moves in front and slaps the engineer as she falls to the ground before he places his foot on her head.
"Chiaki!" The others said in worry.
"If I was you, I would watch what I say. After all, the lives of you and your compatriots are in my hands." Cyber said despite that, Chiaki refuses to yield to him.
"Just try it! But know this, without me, you'll never be able to unlock the power hidden within those machines." Chiaki told her, but it was actually half of the truth, who they really need is Salamandinay and she was able to send a message to the princess just in time to warn her about the attack. Now all they have to do is to hold out.
"You don't say. Hmmm…" Cyber hummed in thought before he looked at the Ryuu-Shin-Kis.
While he has no doubt, he can figure out what makes these machines tick, this girl would help speed things along.
Cyber then uses his cables to grab onto Chiaki's neck to pick her back up.
"Then maybe I should dissect that brain of yours to take that knowledge for myself. Though I doubt it would be much." Cyber said as he was ready to use his cables to cut her brain open.
Just as Chiaki closes her eyes, everyone in the room hears the alarms going off. Having a good idea on what the alarms are about, Cyber brings out a holographic screen and sees the Rangers had arrived as they fought against the Xedroids that were stationed outside as they move from the beach and head to the forest that leads to the hangar.
"Damn it…The Rangers are here." Cyber said and Chiaki grins at him.
"And it seems like you're in trouble now." Chiaki said but Cyber scoffed before he lets go of her as she fell to the ground and coughed.
"Hardly. I have nothing to fear, not as long as I have these." Cyber said before he turned to the Ryuu-Shin-Kis.
He then extended and impaled his cables into each of them. Cyber then injected a type of digital virus into them as green energy flowed through his cables and into the machines.
Then sparks of electricity appeared around their bodies before they became active as their eyes lit up in a green color and were under Cyber's control.
The Kaiser Empire's chief scientist chuckled while Chiaki had a worried look on her face.
"Oh no…" She mutters.
The Nexus Rangers continue to battle the Xedroids as they continue to move in the island's jungle with Shin leading them.
Shin attacks one Xedroid with his claws before he turns to his friends.
"Come on! This way!" Shin said as he moved to the hangar and the others followed him.
"Man…Shin's really going at it." Aaron said and Dean nodded.
"Well, what do you expect? This island holds nothing but bad memories for him. I'm just worried about him doing something crazy." Dean said.
That's when the Rangers arrived at the hangar entrance as the doors had fallen.
"Hey, isn't this the hangar entrance?" Claire asked and Shin nodded.
"Yes, along with the manufacturing wing." The Blue Ranger told them.
"I still don't understand. Why would the Kaiser Empire come here of all places?" Dean said.
"Does that even matter right now?!" Shin exclaimed. "There's no telling what was left behind after the D-War! We need to stop them before…"
Shin stops when they hear someone approaching them from the hangar, and it was Cyber.
"It's you again?" Claire said as she remembers Cyber when he unintentionally woke her and Shin from their 500-year slumber.
"Greetings, Power Rangers. I don't believe we were probably introduced. I am Cyber, chief-scientist of the Kaiser Empire." Cyber introduced himself.
"Spare us the self introduction. Just what are you doing here?" Dean questions him.
"Well…I just happened to stumble upon something that was interesting and will no doubt be useful to the Kaiser Empire." Cyber told them.
"And that would be?" Shin asked.
"Instead of answering, how about I show you?" Cyber said before he snaps his fingers.
They then heard loud footsteps and it was coming from the hangar. They then noticed that the footsteps were getting closer and were heading towards them.
Underneath his helmet, the Blue Ranger's eyes were shaking in horror as those footsteps sounded familiar to him.
"No…It can't be…" Shin mutters as the three machines stand in front of him and his team and their shadows loom over them.
The three machines' bodies were human shaped, and they stood about 9 meters tall. They lack some armor plating which exposed most of their inner frames along with missing some parts like the wings and visors which exposed four pairs of robotic eyes.
To the Nexus Rangers, their appearance almost resembles the machines that once destroyed their world.
"Oh my god…Are those Ragna-mail?" Aaron said.
"It can't be. How is this possible?" Alisa said.
"It doesn't matter how!" Shin exclaimed which surprised his friends. "We have to destroy them before they can leave this island!"
Shin loads his Weapons Card to bring out his Wolf Lance before he charges at the three machines as he roars.
"Shin, wait!" Dean calls out but the Blue Ranger ignores him. "Damn it! I'll follow Shin! The rest of you, take down the other two!"
"Right!" They nodded.
Dean and Alisa pulled out their Nexus Daggers with Aaron and Claire pulling out their Blasters before they charged at the three machines.
Shin was charging at the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki with Dean following him. The red Ryuu-Shin-Ki kicks at the Blue Ranger, he avoids it by jumping up and landing on top of its leg.
Shin then jumps and thrusts his Lance at its head, but it avoids his attack, the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki then attacks the Blue Ranger with the tail attachment on the back of its head, sending Shin to the ground.
The red Ryuu-Shin-Ki raises its foot above the Blue Ranger and slams it straight towards him to crash him, just as Shin braces himself, Dean comes to his rescue as he catches the Ryuu-Shin-Ki's foot and manages to push it back.
The Red Ranger then throws his Nexus Dagger at its face and hits on its right two eyes. The red Ryuu-Shin-Ki stumbles back and Dean helps Shin stand back up.
"You okay Shin?" Dean asked.
"I'm fine!" Shin shouted before he threw his hand back. "We need to focus on destroying these machines!"
Shin picks up his Wolf Lance and charges at the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki once again.
"Wait, Shin!" Dean calls out but the Blue Ranger ignores him as he attacks the Ryuu-Shin-Ki. "Dang it. At least wait for me."
Dean charges at the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki to help Shin fight it.
The green Ryuu-Shin-Ki fires its blaster at the Pink and Black Rangers, they avoid its blaster fire, and they soon counter by firing with their own blasters, but the Ryuu-Shin-Ki manage to block their energy shots by using the armor on its left arm and it was able to withstand their attacks.
"Damn it. We're not making a dent on that armor." Aaron said.
"Then maybe we need more heavy artillery?" Claire said before she holsters her Nexus Blaster and pulls out her Weapons Card. "Load Weapons Card!"
Claire loads the Card into her Morpher to bring out her Chopper Bowgun.
"Nexus Chopper Bowgun!" Claire said before she fires at the green Ryuu-Shin-Ki with her weapon.
The Ryuu-Shin-Ki blocked her attack once again, but this time her Chopper Bowgun dealt it more damage than her Nexus Blaster.
"How do you like that?" Claire said, but the green Ryuu-Shin-Ki's eyes only lit up and kicked at her, the Pink Ranger dodged by back flipping and landed on her feet. "So, you hated it. Good to know."
Alisa used her flying abilities to reach the blue Ryuu-Shin-Ki's height as she clashed blades with it with her Nexus Dagger.
The Ryuu-Shin-Ki then throws a kick at her, and the Yellow Ranger avoids it by spinning over it and slashes at its head, but the Blue Ryuu-Shin-Ki avoids and punches on her sending Alisa to the ground.
Alisa groans before she sees the blue Ryuu-Shin-Ki foot above her as it was ready to crash the Yellow Ranger with it, Alisa avoids it in time along with an incoming slash from its arm blade.
Dean avoids an incoming kick from the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki as he and Alisa stop next to each other.
"Man, these things are tough." Alisa said.
"Yeah. Especially since they still look incomplete." Dean said.
"But I'm mostly concerned about Shin." Alisa said as she and Dean turned to the Blue Ranger.
Shin continues to fight the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki with his Lance, but instead of fighting it with his usual wolf-like or tactical fighting style, Shin was fighting it with savage and rageful attacks almost like he was an animal bent on revenge.
"He's not himself right now." Alisa said and Dean nodded.
"I notice it too. No doubt those things are responsible for that." Dean said.
"Then it's all the more reason we need to turn them into scrap metal!" Alisa said before they charge to battle the Ryuu-Shin-Kis once again.
The red Ryuu-Shin-Ki swings its leg at the Blue Ranger, and he avoids it and manages to land a slash on the ankle joints which disable its leg as it falls to its knee.
Using this chance, Shin turns back to the Ryuu-Shin-Ki as he jumps and slash through the joints on its other leg to disable it as well.
Shin turns back to the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki and remembers that nightmare he had and how Embryo had destroyed the world using the seven Ragna-mail.
"I should've done this a long time ago." Shin said as he was about to move in and destroy the Ryuu-Shin-Ki.
But Dean stops him as he places his hand in front of his chest.
"What are you doing?" Shin asked.
"Shin, stop. Even if they're machines, you're going too far." Dean told him.
"But like you said, they're only machines! Besides, they were nothing but a mistake! They should've never existed!" Shin exclaimed.
"Do you even hear yourself?! You're starting to sound like Embryo." Dean told him.
Taking offense to that, Shin punches Dean on the helmet and grabs the Red Ranger by the collar.
"Don't you dare compare me to him!" Shin exclaimed.
"Shin…" Dean said in worry for his friend.
As he was watching the Red and Blue Ranger arguing, Cyber was deeply interested in the reasons for it before he realized seeing these three machines must've been the cause for it.
"Most interesting. Let's see if I can't expand the wedge between them." Cyber said as his eyes lit up a few times to give mental commands to the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki.
The red Ryuu-Shin-Ki's eyes lit up which got Dean and Shin's attention as it looked at them. That's when sparks appeared from its torso and shoulder units as it began to power up its ultimate weapon to destroy the Rangers.
"What's going on now?" Dean said, but Shin had a theory but for once, he was hoping that he was wrong.
"It…It can't be…" Shin mutters.
The red Ryuu-Shin-Ki was now ready to fire its weapons as its shoulders slowly began to open…
But then something went wrong with it as sparks appeared between its shoulders and torso unit.
"Hmmm…What is this?" Cyber said.
Then the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki suddenly shut down as it fell on its knees and its eyes died out.
"What the…What's going on?" Dean said.
"I don't know." Shin said.
Cyber then scans the Ryuu-Shin-Ki and sees that there was a power connection between its shoulder mounted weapons and power core.
"An unstable power connection. Typical work from inferior lifeforms." Cyber said before he turned at the Rangers. "We'll have to settle this another time, Rangers."
Cyber then teleported to the Kaiser Sphere while bringing the three Ryuu-Shin-Kis with him.
"Wait!" Shin calls out.
The Blue Ranger was about to chase after him, but Dean stops him by bringing his arm in front of him.
"Shin, calm down! There's no point in following him now." Dean said before Alisa moved beside Shin and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Dean's right. Even if we wanted to, we're not ready to fight in their home base yet." Alisa said.
Shin grits his teeth and clenches his hand as he knows they were right before he calms down.
"I know that…But still…" Shin said.
"Oh, Shin…" Claire said before she and the others heard someone's footsteps from the hangar door. "Someone else is coming!"
Thinking it was an enemy, the Rangers were on guard as they waited for them to come out, but to their surprise it wasn't an enemy but Chiaki along with two others.
"What the?" Aaron said.
"People? Here?" Alisa said.
"Where did they go?" Chiaki said as she and the others looked for the stolen Ryuu-Shin-Kis and spotted the Rangers. "Wait…Aren't you the Power Rangers?"
"That's right. We are." Claire nodded.
"But more importantly, what are you doing here?" Shin questions them.
Chiaki and her team flinch. They wondered how they were going to tell them now that they're here. That's when both groups heard a familiar voice.
"Chiaki!"
Everyone looked and saw Salamandinay along with Naga and Kaname had arrived as she flew above before they descended to the ground.
"Salamandinay?/Lady Salamandinay!" Both Dean and Chiaki said before Salamandinay rushed to Chiaki.
"Are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?" Salamandinay asked in concern.
"I'm fine…" Chiaki said before she lowered her head in shame. "Forgive me, my lady…the Ryuu-Shin-Kis…They were stolen."
Salamandinay, Naga and Kaname were shocked.
"What?" Naga said.
"Are you certain of this?" Salamandinay asked, and Chiaki nodded. "Oh, no…"
"Ahem." Dean calls out getting their attention. "I know this isn't the best time right now. But Salamandinay, I think we're long due for an explanation. Like why is there people here and most importantly, what were those machines?"
Salamandinay was hesitant at first before she hardened her resolve and looked Dean straight in the eye.
"Alright. I suppose it's too late to hide it now. But tell me this, do you know what this island is?" Salamandinay asked, and Dean nodded.
"Yeah, of course we do." Dean said before he looked at the area they were currently standing on. "This island was Embryo's personal laboratory. The birthplace of the Ragna-mail."
After taking the Ryuu-Shin-Kis back with him, Cyber had them placed in the hangar in the Kaiser Sphere as he gave them repairs after the battle with the Rangers.
With Cyber was Prince Crimson and General Swartz as they looked at the three machines.
"I have to say, Cyber, for once you found something that isn't a hindrance to us." General Swartz told him and Cyber only scoffed.
"I thought you should know better than to doubt my skills." Cyber told him.
"Well, you should know that's not the only thing I doubt about you." Swartz told him and Cyber angrily glared at the general.
"How dare you…!" Cyber said as he and Swartz were ready to fight each other, but Prince Crimson stopped them by yelling at them.
"Enough!"
Both General Swartz and Cyber flinch before they bow their heads to the prince.
"Apologies, Your Highness." They both said and Prince Crimson scoffed before he looked at the three Ryuu-Shin-Kis.
"In any case, what do you make of these machines, Cyber?" Prince Crimson questions him.
"Well despite that they were built by inferior lifeforms, even I am impressed by their technology." Cyber said as he brought a holographic screen of the Ryuu-Shin-Kis blueprints. "From what I can tell, all three of them are equipped with a power core that is able to manipulate space thus giving them a nearly unlimited energy source. But there is something else that I notice with this red one."
"And that would be?" Prince Crimson questions him.
Cyber then zooms in to the red Ryuu-Shin-Ki's shoulder units to show the hidden weapons built beneath them.
"It appears to be a type of dimensional wave weapon. One of which I've never seen before." Cyber told him.
"Truly?" General Swartz said and Cyber nodded.
"Can you recreate this weapon?" Prince Crimson questions him.
"In time, yes. But without full understanding of these machines, a process like that will take years. Perhaps even decades." Cyber answered.
"I see. But is there a way we can speed up that process?" Prince Crimson asked and Cyber nodded.
"There is. And these machines will be the key to that." Cyber said.
(Meanwhile)
After meeting up with Salamandinay, she along with Kaname, Naga, and Chiaki, the Rangers had returned to their base while bringing them along.
Shortly after they had arrived, Salamandinay had told the Rangers what the three machines that Cyber had stolen were called.
"Ryuu-Shin-Ki?" Dean said and Salamandinay nodded.
"Yes, that's what they're called. After I discovered Embryo's laboratory, I was able to find old prototype parts and data schematics for the Ragna-mails. I've been reverse engineering and modifying them for years." Salamandinay said.
"And let me guess, they're your secret weapons to counter Embryo's Ragna-mails and to free Aura, right?" Dean asked, and Salamandinay nodded.
"That is indeed so." Salamandinay said.
"Then why didn't you tell us about this before?" Dean asked.
"Dean…I wanted to. But I had my orders, and even if that weren't the case I didn't want to reopen old wounds." Salamandinay told him and the others.
Dean sighed.
"I could understand that but still. We shouldn't keep secrets like this to each other. Especially after what just happened." Dean told her.
"I know that. And I deeply apologize for that." Salamandinay said.
"Well, it's too late for that now. But how worried should we be since Cyber now has control over them?" Shin asked.
"Very. Like the Ragna-mail, each of them has a Quantum Spatial Drive." Salamandinay said.
"So, meaning that they'll go on virtually forever without losing any power. Fantastic." Shin said.
"Yes…But I'm afraid that's not even the worst of it." Salamandinay said and the Rangers and Pixel were concerned to hear that.
"What do you mean by that?" Pixel asked.
Salamandinay was hesitant at first but hardened her resolve and told them the truth.
"The Enryugo, my personal machine, is equipped with its own Discord Phasers." Salamandinay told them which shocked and horrified the Rangers and Pixel, but Shin was deeply and physically shaken by that as he remembers his nightmare before he sat down on the chair.
"It has what?" Claire asked, hoping that she was only hearing things.
"Please tell me you're kidding?" Alisa asked.
"I'm afraid I'm not." Salamandinay said. "The Enryugo also has its own Space Time Cannons."
"Great. So now they have another weapon that can virtually kill us all." Dean said as he shook his head.
"Yes. But no." Salamandinay said.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked and Salamandinay smiled at him.
"You didn't think I put a weapon like that without putting any safety measures to it, would you?" Salamandinay said before she pointed at the jewel accessory on her forehead. "This gem happens to be the key to activating Enryugo and its Discord Phasers. And like the Ragna-mail it would only activate via song by my voice."
"Huh. That is very clever." Pixel said.
"Okay. We don't have to worry about Cyber using the Discord Phasers for now. That gives us some time to find them before that even happens." Dean said.
"And then we destroy them, right?" Aaron asked and that shocked Salamandinay and her subordinates.
"Destroy them?" Salamandinay said, and Aaron nodded.
"Yeah. They may have been built by your hands, but it doesn't change the fact they're a part of Embryo's work. So we need to destroy them, so that way no one could ever misuse them." Aaron told them but Salamandinay had a determined look and refused to let that happen.
"I'm sorry. But I can't allow that. Even if the situation calls for it, we can't let the Ryuu-Shin-Ki be destroyed. They're vital for us in reclaiming Aura." Salamandinay said.
"We can understand that. But those machines are still dangerous, including the Discord Phasers. Besides, even after you free Aura, what's to say you won't be tempted to misuse its power the same way that Embryo did before?" Alisa questions her and Salamandinay flinches but then Naga and Kaname move in and come to her defense.
"Lady Salamandinay will never allow that to happen!" Kaname told them.
"That's right! And we could say the same about you. How are we supposed to believe that you won't turn on us, the same way Kurt had betrayed you?" Naga asked and Alisa flinched as she lowered her head.
"Okay, now that is a low blow." Aaron said as he moved in front of Alisa before he and Naga began to argue.
But as they were arguing, Shin was still processing that the Enryugo are equipped with its own Discord Phasers, the very weapons that Embryo had used to destroy their world over 500 years ago.
He then remembers watching that very record in his lab along with that dream, and how he met a man with long blond hair along with wearing a lab coat and glasses.
"You've got to be kidding…" Shin said, which got everyone's attention as they turned to the Blue Ranger.
"Shin?" Dean said and now that he thinks about it, he's been quite a for a while, and he knows why.
Shin then stood up and approached Salamandinay.
"So let me get this straight…You've kept three machines as powerful as a Ragna-mail and one of them is even armed with its own Discord Phasers?!" Shin asked before he grabbed Salamandinay by the collar.
"Princess!" Kaname said in worry before Naga glares at him.
"Bastard! Unhand her this instant!" Naga exclaimed as she pulled her swords ready to strike at Shin but Aaron stops her as he grabs onto her. "Let me go! He deserves to be executed by lying his hands on her!"
"Calm down! And Shin let her go!" Aaron told the Blue Ranger.
"Shin, stop! You're not acting yourself!" Alisa said but Shin glares at her.
"Stay out of this!" Shin exclaimed before he turned back to Salamandinay. "Why?! Why would you build those machines?! Why did you have to find that island?! That place was the birthplace of the devil incarnate!"
"Shin…Please…You have to calm down." Salamandinay told him.
"Don't ask to be calm!" Shin exclaimed as he tightened his hold on her. "You have no idea what I'm going through right now! You may have 500 years to you! But I can still remember that day clearly…It's the one thing I would never forget! Because you didn't have to live with the…"
That's when Dean grabs onto Shin's wrist, the Blue Ranger turns to him as Dean has a stern look on his face.
"Shin, you need to calm down." Dean told him. "I understand how you're feeling, but what's done is done. We need to focus on finding those machines before Cyber causes any more damage with them. Besides, take a moment and look at what you're doing right now. Aren't you doing the same thing that Embryo would do?"
Shin then looks for a moment to calm down, he then turns back to Salamandinay and could see that he was clearly hurting her. Distraught by this, Shin lets her go as she falls on her and mended her neck.
Shin then looks at his hands in horror and guilt. He then quickly leaves the room with his friends watching him in worry.
"Poor Shin…" Claire said.
Dean knelt down to Salamandinay to check on her.
"Are you okay?" Dean asked and she nodded.
"Yes. I'm fine." Salamandinay said before Dean helped her stand up and looked at the door that Shin just used to leave. "I knew that he was upset about this. But I didn't think this would affect him that much."
"Well…It's complicated right now. But we can worry about Shin later. He just needs some time." Dean said before he turned to Pixel. "But before that, Pixel, I need you to be on constant surveillance duty. If any sign of Cyber has appeared, then we need to know about it immediately."
"I could do that." Pixel nodded. "But do you want me to keep an eye on Shin, just in case?"
Dean was about to answer, but Claire stepped in and spoke out.
"You don't have to do that. I got that covered."
"Are you sure?" Dean asked, and Claire nodded.
"Yeah. Besides, what Shin needs right now is a friend beside him." Claire said.
"Okay. Just be ready when we call for you." Dean told her, and Claire gave him a thumbs up.
"You got it." Claire said before she left the room to follow Shin.
"Well…Might as well get to work." Pixel said before she brings out her holographic keyboard and screen to use the base's satellite uplink to keep a vigilant eye out for Cyber and the Ryuu-Shin-Ki.
"Okay. I guess the only question now is, what are we supposed to do?" Alisa asked.
"Well…" Salamandinay spoke out, getting their attention. "If tensions had begun to drop, we could meet with Chiaki. She's been wanting to meet you for some time. In fact, she also mentioned that she has something that might belong to you."
Dean, Alisa and Aaron thought about it before the Red Ranger shrugged and spoke.
"Okay. Might as well see what it is." Dean said.
After Shin had returned to his lab, he let out his frustration, rage and most importantly his guilt by screaming and wrecking it by throwing all of his equipment to the floor along with his notes.
In his rampage, Shin remembers certain words from someone who was once important to him who was now his enemy.
"I have great plans in changing this world. And I want your help to do just that."
Shin punches one of his computer screens which makes a large crack.
"You're still a young man with a bright future ahead of you. Best to let the adults handle the risks."
Shin then slams his fists on the table before he takes a moment to pant.
"I'm not the same man that I once was, Shinya."
"Hey, that doesn't matter right now. Because to me, you'll always be the Dr. Embryo that I respect and admire."
Shin grits his teeth to remember before he turns his back on the table and falls on his fear and places a hand on his forehead and slams his other hand on the floor a few times and stops.
Shin heard someone knocking on the door, he turned to it and heard Claire's voice.
"Shin? Are you in there?" She asked.
Shin sighed before he lowered his head forward.
"Just go away, Claire. I need to be alone right now." Shin told her.
"No. I'm not going anywhere, because you need your friends now more than ever and we also need you." Claire told him and Shin scoffed to hear that.
"For what? For me to cause another D-War? To do a repeat of what happened that day?" Shin questions her.
"Shin, stop it. That was Embryo. You did nothing wrong." Claire said.
"Easy for you to say. You weren't the one who gave him the keys to destroy our world along with another. I did that by placing my trust in him, so I'm still responsible for that." Shin said.
"Okay…So you made a mistake. It's not like that you were the first one to do that. I mean, remember Dr. K? Don't forget she created Venjix because she wanted to go outside. And there's also Andrew Hartford. He unintentionally freed Flurious and Molter by finding the Corona Aurora." Claire told him.
"Yeah. But they more than made up for their mistakes. But for me…I can never do that." Shin said.
"Shin…" Claire said in worry but she refused to give up and spoke to Shin again. "Remember what Grandpa Max used to say? Power is a responsibility. Not a choice."
Shin chuckles.
"Yeah. He told us that constantly even after we became Rangers." Shin said.
"That's right. And he also told us that power doesn't make us who we are. It's how we use it. In the end, it was Embryo who used the Ragna-mail for evil. But it is also you who decide to use your power for good. I say that makes you better than Embryo, because you wanted to make the right choices." Claire said.
"But I just don't know what I should do." Shin said.
"I guess that's true. But you're one of the best people that I know. And I know you can stand back up from this. Also just so we're clear, I'm not leaving this spot until you're ready to come out." Claire told him.
After that, Shin was left in deep thought and wondered what to do.
Back on the island that was once Embryo's laboratory, Chiaki and her team were gathering and cleaning the damages in the hangar.
Then to her surprise, the Rangers along with Salamandinay and her subordinates had arrived in the hangar by teleporting.
"Oh, Lady Salamandinay." Chiaki said before they approached her.
"Hello, Chiaki." Salamandinay said before she took a moment to look at the damages. "How are the damages?"
"Most of the equipment and prototype parts are severely damaged but nothing we can't recover from." Chiaki told her before she looked at the three Nexus Rangers. "You three are the Power Rangers, correct?"
"Yeah. That's right." Dean nodded before she had an excited look on her face as she eyed him and Aaron.
"Incredible! So that's what you look like behind those suits! I never thought I could meet actual mature male humans like this! Have you ever thought of taking in any…" Chiaki said, but then Salamandinay moved in front of her to give her a stern look.
"Chiaki, please, now's not the time." Salamandinay said and Chiaki flinched before she bowed her head.
"Of course. My apologies, my lady." Chiaki said.
Dean then coughs in his hand to get her attention once again.
"Anyway, Salamandinay told us you have something to show us?" Dean asked, and Chiaki nodded.
"Yes. Here it is." Chiaki said before she brought it out and showed it to the Rangers.
It was a purple charm but it was big enough to contain a card. It had a yellow string tied on the top and had the letter 'N' on it.
The three Nexus Rangers were deeply curious to see that 'N' symbol on it which was similar to their own symbol.
"This charm has been in my family for many generations. Ever since the great cataclysm. I don't know how or why, but I think we were meant to give this to you." Chiaki said before she handed the charm to Dean.
"Are you sure?" Dean asked before he accepted the charm and Chiaki nodded. "Alright. Let's see what we got."
Dean removes the string on top of it and opens the charm to pull out one of their missing Zord Cards.
The Card had an image of a purple cobra snake.
Dean, Aaron and Alisa smile to see this Card.
"It's the card to the Nexus Cobra Zord!" Dean said.
"Truly?" Salamandinay asked and Dean nodded.
"Yeah. Like our Zords most of these cards were lost to us. To think this was found by someone from over 500 years ago." Dean said.
"Then it's a sign that the people of that time didn't lose faith in you and the others." Salamandinay said.
"I guess it does." Dean said before he gave Chiaki a grateful look. "Thank you for this."
"Please. It was no trouble for me. I was just happy to be of some assistance." She told them.
"But still, finding the card is one thing, we need to find the Zord first before it could be of use to us." Alisa said. Chiaki hummed in thought.
"Actually, I may have an idea where you can find it." She said.
"Really?" Alisa said and Chiaki nodded.
"Then what is it?" Aaron asked.
"Deep within the forest close to my village, there's a shrine that was built after the great cataclysm. In fact, both my mother and my grandmother would often take me there to pray to it everyday." Chiaki told them.
The Rangers were left in deep thought about that.
"Well, I suppose it's better than nothing. And again, thank you for this." Dean told her.
"You are most welcome. But tell me this…are you planning on destroying the Ryuu-Shin-Ki now that they're stolen?" Chiaki asked.
Dean, Aaron, and Alisa flinch before Dean answers.
"That…remains to be certain." Dean said, and Chiaki was able to tell that they have thought about it but she can understand.
"I see. But I would understand. If I was in your position and if I lived through the day when Embryo had destroyed our world once, then I would do the same as you would. But…I hope you can consider taking them back instead." Chiaki requested, which surprised them.
"What?" Aaron said.
"You can't be serious?" Alisa asked and Chiaki nodded.
"I am. Well it's true that this island harbors a dark legacy, I believe it should be up to us on how we use it. And the same applies to the Ryuu-Shin-Ki, because those machines are our responsibility and we decide on how to use them." Chiaki told them.
Dean was left in deep thought about that before he remembered his grandfather's words.
"Never forget. Power is only a responsibility, not a choice. You only own the power, so it's your choice on how to use it."
Dean smiles to hear that.
'Honestly…Even when he's not here, he always knows what to say.' Dean thought to himself.
After the Rangers had returned to the base, Claire had arrived in the command room where her friends were discussing things with Salamandinay's group.
Dean then notices his cousin approaching him and the others.
"Hey, Claire. How's Shin?" Dean asked.
"Only time could tell." Claire said before she asked the questions this time. "But is it true, you found a lead to the Cobra Zord?"
"Possible." Dean said before he brought out and showed the Cobra Zord Card to her. "According to what Chiaki had told us, we might be able to find the Cobra Zord in a shrine."
"And fortunately for us, it's not far from Chiaki's village." Salamandinay told them.
"Alright! Then let's go and get it." Claire said.
"And after that, we destroy the Ryuu-Shin-Kis." Aaron said.
Salamandinay was deeply worried, even if she understood why, but…
"No. We can't destroy them." Dean said which surprised his friends.
"What?" Aaron asked in shock.
"Dean, you can't be serious?" Alisa asked.
"I am. They were built by Salamandinay and her people, so it's up to them on how to use them. I'm willing to trust them with that responsibility. Besides, we might need them when we rescue Aura." Dean told them.
Salamandinay smiles in gratitude.
"Dean…thank you." Salamandinay said, and Dean smiles back before he notices his friends smiling at him.
"What?" Dean asked.
"Nothing." They said at the same time before Claire coughed in her hand.
"But how are we doing to stop three incomplete but still nearly unstoppable machines?" Claire asked before they heard a familiar voice.
"I might be able to help with that."
Everyone looks and sees Shin entering the room, Naga and Kaname are on guard but Salamandinay signals them to stand him.
"Naga, Kaname, stand down." Salamandinay told them but they were worried to hear that.
"What?" Naga said.
"But, Milady…" Kaname said.
"No, she's right." Dean said as he noticed that Shin was acting more like himself now from seeing the look on his eyes. "I'm sure he won't lose his composure this time, right?"
"Yeah. And I'm sorry for how I acted lately." Shin said before he turned to Salamandinay to bow his head. "I especially owe you an apology, princess. I never should've acted like that."
"It's fine. I understand. I should've told you and the others about the Ryuu-Shin-Ki sooner, so I'm partially responsible." Salamandinay assured her.
"So all is forgiven?" Shin asked and Salamandinay nodded. "Okay. Now then…I need to know how similar the Ryuu-Shin-Ki are to the Ragna-mail?"
After heeding Shin's request, Salamandinay had bought and downloaded the Ryuu-Shin-Ki's blueprints.
When he saw the designs, Shin was deeply impressed that the princess was able to create this.
"Incredible. I know you managed to recreate numerous equipment from the old world, but I can't believe you made a complex system with old data and parts." Shin said.
"Like I told you before, I know my way around machines. But I have yet to stabilize the quantum connection between the Enryugo's power core and Discord Phasers." Salamandinay told him and the Blue Ranger how something went wrong with the Enryugo after Cyber attempted to use its ultimate weapon.
"So that's what happened. It must have been an overload malfunction between the relay circuits of its torso and shoulder units." Shin said.
"That is also my assumption as well." Salamandinay said.
The others watched them go on in their own little world and had trouble understanding what they were saying.
"Do you understand any of that?" Claire asked.
"Nope…I'm just as clueless as you are." Alisa answered.
"But that might also lead to another problem. If Cyber overloads the power core it will result in a massive explosion." Shin said before he uses the computer to create a scenario of that possibility.
Showing the Enryugo in a large town.
"Yes. It won't be the same conclusion from the first one, but it will still result in the deaths of many people." Salamandinay said before the computer showed how the Enryugo exploded that it was big enough to wipe out the town and reach over thousands of miles.
"So we need to prevent that before it even happens. Any ideas on how we can do that?" Shin asked.
"Only one. I've installed the master control circuits into the Enryugo's cockpit. If we can disconnect those…" Salamandinay said but Shin was able to finish for her.
"So if we disconnect the circuits from the torso unit and the shoulders, it would disable the Enryugo along with its power core and Discord Phasers." Shin said and Salamandinay looked at him as she was stunned.
"That's right…How would you know that?" Salamandinay asked and Shin flinched before he lowered his head.
"It…It doesn't matter right now. We need to focus on the task in hand." Shin said.
"Right…" Salamandinay nodded.
That's when the alarms were going off, and Pixel soon found the cause as she types on her keyboard.
"And look who arrived on time." Pixel said before she brings out footage of Cyber appearing in the town where Salamandinay and her subordinates live before he summons the now hi-jack Ryuu-Shin-Kis and uses them to attack whatever they see.
"Okay. Then let's not keep him waiting." Dean said.
"But what about the Cobra Zord?" Pixel asked, and Dean thought about it before Claire spoke out as she raised her hand.
"How about we split up? I'll go get the Cobra Zord while you handle Cyber." Claire told them.
"Are you sure?" Dean asked, and Claire nodded.
"Of course. Who do you think you're talking to?" Claire asked and Dean smiled to hear that.
"Yeah. I guess that was stupid of me to ask. Either way, I wish you the best of luck." Dean said.
"You too." Claire said.
The Rangers then moved on top of the transporter to head to different locations with Dean and the others heading to where Cyber is attacking and Claire heading to the location to find the Cobra Zord.
The people in the town either run on their feet or by flying as Cyber attacks them with the stolen Ryuu-Shin-Kis as they continue to destroy everything in their path.
"Hahaha! That's right! Ran like the pathetic life forms that you are!" Cyber said.
"Stop right there!" Someone calls out.
Cyber looks and sees that Dean, Shin, Aaron and Alisa had arrived as they stop and faced the evil scientist together.
"It's good to see you again, Rangers…?" Cyber said before he notices that the Pink Ranger was missing. "Where's the pink one?"
"She had to do her makeup along with her hair. You know how girls are these days." Dean said before he received a punch on the arm from Alisa.
"Don't be sexist." The Yellow Ranger told him.
"Sorry. Didn't mean to." Dean said and Alisa turned away from him.
"Hmph!"
"Hmm…" Cyber hummed to himself.
'I was hoping to draw out the creator of these machines. But I suppose they'll do for now.' He thought to himself before he spoke to the Rangers.
"Well either way, I suppose it doesn't matter. You Rangers had been a throne on the prince's side for long enough. It's time to finally put you in your place. Xedroids!"
Then a legion of Xedroids had appeared and faced the Rangers.
"Keep telling yourself that." Dean said as he and the others assumed their combat stance and charge at the Xedroids and they did the same as they engaged in battle.
Dean punches one Xedroid on the chest before he dodges one's attack before he slams his knee on its stomach and strikes on its back with his elbow.
Dean then sees incoming blade attacks from several Xedroids, he dodges their attacks before he stops and looks at a large boulder that was close to him. Dean smiles to see that.
The Red Ranger then uses his superhuman strength to lift the boulder up and throws it at the Xedroids and it strikes them like they were bowling pins as they spun around and fall to the ground.
"Strike! You're out!" Dean commented.
Shin calmly avoids several Xedroids' attacks before he kicks two of them, sending them to the ground.
Just as the others were about to fire laser blasts at him, Shin uses his technopathic powers on them which causes them to short circuit as sparks appear on their bodies and they fall to the ground.
"They may be biomechanical but in the end they're still machines." Shin commented.
Aaron lands several punches on multiple Xedroids before one swings its blade at him and the Black Ranger catches it with his bare hand. He then uses his matter absorption to coat his body with metal.
Aaron then smiles at the Xedroid.
"Thanks for the armor." Aaron said before he punched the droid on the face and punched many others with his steel hardened fists.
Alisa is using her martial arts prowess to punch and kick at the Xedroids around her while avoiding their attacks.
Alisa then saw another group of Xedroids had surrounded her and were to attack, but she smiled at them.
"Now you see me…" Then a yellow aura appeared around her body before she disappeared. "Now you don't."
The Xedroids are surprised by this as they look for the Yellow Ranger, before she attacks while still invisible, knocking each of them to the ground. After that Alisa becomes visible again.
"I'll never get tired of doing that." Alisa said.
After the Rangers had defeated the Xedroids, all that was left was Cyber and the Ryuu-Shin-Ki he had stolen as they faced him together.
"It's just you and us now." Dean said and Cyber scoffed at them.
"Hardly. I don't need them as long as I have these machines." Cyber told them before he mentally commended the Ryuu-Shin-Ki to charge at them.
"It's Morphin' Time!" Dean said before he and the others pressed the button on their Morphers to change their modes.
"Load Card!" The Rangers said as they quickly loaded their Cards into their Morphers. "Access the Morphin Grid!"
The Rangers avoid incoming attacks from all three Ryuu-Shin-Ki as they morph into their Rangers before they charge to attack them.
(Meanwhile)
Claire is seen walking in a forest as she uses her GPS device to guide her way to the shrine to find the Nexus Cobra Zord.
"Alright. If I'm reading this right, the shrine should be around…" Claire said before he stopped and found it. "There.
The shrine looks big enough to be a building and had two doors in the front and it was locked.
Claire soon brings out the key for that, it was given to her by the village's chief after she told her about why she was here.
Claire then uses the key to open the lock and walks inside, but sees nothing before she hears a creak on the floor. She looked down and saw a trapdoor on the floor.
The Pink Ranger knelt down and opened it, and saw that it leads to a stairway beneath that leads to an underground tunnel.
"Hmmm…Well, I already made it this far." Claire said before he walks down and moves into the tunnel to see where it will lead her.
Claire was walking inside the tunnel for a while using her flashlight to illuminate her way. She then stops as she hears something hissing deep inside and she could tell it was close.
Claire continues to move forward and sees an exit, but she ends up slipping and rolling on a slope before she falls to the ground but thankfully she didn't receive any serious injuries.
The Pink Ranger groans as she sits up and rubs her back and the back of her head.
"Oww…I really hope I didn't get a mark from that." Claire mutters.
She then heard the hissing in front of him and saw something really big in front of her.
"Oh…There you are." Claire said.
Dean jumps at the blue Ryuu-Shin-Ki to attack it with his sword, but it blocks his attack with its blade and pushes his sword back and uses this chance to kick the Red Ranger to the ground as he rolled on it.
Alisa and Aaron fire their Nexus Blasters at the green Ryuu-Shin-Ki but it manages to avoid their blaster fire and fires back at them and they avoid it in time with Alisa jumping out of the way while Aaron rolls on the ground.
Shin was armed with his Nexus Dagger as he used to attack the Enryugo's leg joints but it was able to avoid his attacks before it attacked the Blue Ranger by landing a kick on him which sent him rolling on the ground before Dean stops him as he catches.
"You okay?" Dean asked as he helped him stand back up.
"Yeah. Thanks for that." Shin said before Alisa and Aaron moved to their side with the three Ryuu-Shin-Kis staring at them.
"Man…I know these things were supposed to be tough, but this is ridiculous." Alisa said.
"Then maybe we're doing this all wrong." Shin said, getting their attention as they turned to the Blue Ranger.
"What do you mean?" Aaron asked before Shin took off his helmet.
"I have an idea. But I need you to pay me some time." Shin told his friends.
They thought about it before Dean shrugged.
"What the hell? It's not like we have any other option." The Red Ranger said before he, Aaron and Alisa charge at the Ryuu-Shin-Kis to battle them once again while Shin closes his eyes as his blue aura appears around his body as he concentrates.
Dean was clashing his sword against the Enryugo's kicks. Aaron was firing his blaster at the blue one while avoiding its blade attacks while Alisa is flying around the green Ryuu-Shin-Ki as it fires at her but misses.
Cyber couldn't help but chuckle to see their futile struggle but notices that the Blue Ranger was standing still with his eyes closed and saw the aura around him.
"Just what is he up to?" Cyber questions.
After a short moment of building up his power, Shin opens his eyes as his blues glows brighter than before, he then calls out to his friends.
"Everyone! Get clear!"
"You heard the man!" Dean said before he and the others moved on the way.
"I don't know what you're doing, but I'm stopping it!" Cyber said as he made the three Ryuu-Shin-Kis charge at him.
Shin roared as he created a massive blue data wave in front of him as it headed towards the Ryuu-Shin-Kis as it entered their bodies. The hijacked Ryuu-Shin-Kis stopped as sparks of blue and green energy appeared around their bodies.
"What is this?!" Cyber said as he could feel his hold over them was weakening.
Shin roared even louder as he used his technopathic powers to purge Cyber's virus out of each Ryuu-Shin-Ki and eventually he was able to completely eradicate the virus from their systems.
Then sparks appear around Cyber's head as he screams in pain before he places his hands on his head and falls on his knees.
Then the Ryuu-Shin-Kis systems went offline before they fell to the ground.
Shin took a moment to pant as his eyes turned back to normal before he placed hand on his head and was about to fall to the ground but Dean was able to catch him in time.
"Good job, Shin. That's why you're our boy genius." Dean told him and Shin chuckled before he managed to stand on his feet.
"Yeah. What can you do without me?" Shin said before they saw Cyber standing up.
"H-How? Just what did you do?!" Cyber said.
"I was able to build up my power to a point where it's able to purge your virus from those machines. For someone who claims to be a smart guy, you sure didn't think of everything." Shin said.
"Damn you…!" Cyber growled at them before he looked at the Enryugo and soon had an idea. "Fine. I suppose I can let you have this victory…But not without cost!"
Cyber extended his cables and attach them to the Enryugo's torso and shoulder units, Shin figured out what he was up to,
"No! Don't!" Shin shouted but it was too late.
Cyber uses his cables to bring the Enryugo online, but he also made its Quantum-Special Drive and Discord Phasers to build up its power without stopping as large sparks appeared around its torso and shoulders.
"Oh, no! It's going critical!" Shin said.
"That's right!" Cyber said as he retracted his cables. "I wanted to keep these machines for further study, but you left me no choice. And I can least live knowing that you'll die with the very people you have sworn to protect!"
Cyber laughs before he teleports back to the Kaiser Sphere.
"Wait!" Dean calls out.
"Forget him, Dean! He's not worth it! And we have another worry to handle." Shin said before he put on his helmet.
The Rangers then approach the Enryugo as both its Special Drive and Discord Phasers continue to build up power.
"Shin, what should we do?" Alisa asked.
"Just give me a moment." Shin said before he searches for something on the Enryugo's torso unit. "According to the blueprints, the switch to open its cockpit should be around…here!"
Shin soon found the switch and pulled on it to open its cockpit. Shin went inside and took a moment to study the machinery and controls, so far, he was deeply impressed.
"Impressive. She wasn't joking about the modifications." Shin commented.
"Now's not the time!" They told him.
"Right! Sorry!" Shin said.
The Blue Ranger soon pulls out his screwdriver and flathead. Using both tools, he began taking part and removed the parts that covered the master control circuits, and found them.
"Alright. Here goes." Shin said before he began disconnecting the wires. "Start with the blue. Then green…along with the yellow and black stripe one. Now all I have to do is disconnect the red…wire."
The only problem is that there are two red wires.
"Shin! What's the hold up?!" Dean calls out as the Enryugo was now on the verge of exploding.
Seeing that they were running out of time, Shin soon made his choice.
"Oh screw it!" Shin said as he grabbed onto the bottom red wire.
Shin tightly closed his eyes and disconnected it…
…

…
Shin opened his eyes and saw he was still here, his friends and the town were still as the Enryugo was now offline thanks to his courage and resolve. Shin sighs in relief that he pulled it off.
"If I ever do something like this again, it will be too soon…" Shin mutters as he shakes his head.
After returning to the Kaiser Sphere, Cyber along with Prince Crimson and General Swartz had watched as the Enryugo was about to go critical and was about to explode, but the Blue Ranger was able to put a stop to that.
Once again displeased by Cyber's failure, Prince Crimson angrily grabs him by his metal collar.
"Once again Cyber, your plans have proven to be a failure!" He exclaimed.
"I deeply apologize, Your Highness! I promise you, I will do better next time!" Cyber promised him.
Prince Crimson scoffs and lets him go,
"For your sake, you better keep that oath. For now…Swartz deployed the Xe-Bots!" Prince Crimson ordered.
"Of course, Your Highness." Swartz said as he types on his keyboard to deploy the Xe-Bots.
Then the Xe-Bots appeared and jumped down to the Earth as they landed on the ground. After seeing, Dean contacts Pixel with his Morpher.
"Pixel, deploy and operate the Chopper Zord now!" Dean told her.
"You got it! You know I love to do that!" Pixel said.
The four Nexus Rangers then bring out their Zord Card and load them to their Morphers.
"Load Card! Deploy Zords!" The Nexus Rangers said.
The Zords soon appeared before Dean loads the Megazord Card.
"Zords Combine!" Dean said.
The five Zords combined to form the Nexus Prime Megazord.
"Nexus Prime Megazord! Formation Complete!"
After the Rangers had appeared on their respective platforms, they soon brought out the Mega Nexus Blaster, ready to fight the Xe-Bots.
The ones with blaster arms fire at the Megazord.
"Chopper Shield!" The Rangers said as they used the Chopper Shield to deflect their blaster fire.
Then the Megazord counterattacks by firing its own Blaster at them, destroying them.
Then the ones with drill arms charge at the Megazord to attack.
The Mega Nexus Blaster changes into its Saber Mode and the Megazord charge at the Xe-Bots.
The Megazord then uses its Mega Nexus Saber to deflect some of the Xe-Bots' attacks and slashes through them to destroy them.
But just as the Megazord blocks an incoming attack from one Xe-Bot, another group with blaster arms fires upon the Nexus Prime Megazord which forces it to stumble back and its Saber falls to the ground.
"Oh, no! The Saber!" Dean said.
The Xe-Bots continued to fire at the Megazord as it was forced to stumble some more.
"Dang it! We won't last long at this rate!" Aaron said.
"But we can't give up now!" Dean said before they all heard someone speaking through their Morphers.
"Then how about I join in?!" Said Claire.
"Claire?" Dean said.
That's when they heard a familiar hiss. They soon saw appearing from the ground and Zord slithering towards them.
The Zord is a purple king cobra with a red visor with silver fangs with yellow blades around its head.
This is the Nexus Cobra Zord.
The Cobra Zord stops before it raises its head as it hisses at the Xe-Bots and the blades on its head spun around.
"The Nexus Cobra Zord!" Alisa said.
"Then that would mean…" Shin said.
Then appearing on the screen of their Morphers was Claire, in Ranger form, she then waved at her friends as she was seated inside the Cobra Zord's cockpit.
Similar to the other Zords, the cockpit was colored purple with controls similar to the Wolf Zord.
"Hey, guys! I didn't keep you waiting did I?" Claire said.
"You're just on time. So I guess the tip paid off?" Dean asked and Claire nodded.
"Pretty much.
(Flashback)
"Oh…There you are." Claire said.
The Nexus Cobra Zord was right in front of it as it hisses at the Pink Ranger.
Claire stood up which made the Cobra Zord even more on guard against her.
"Hey. It's okay. It's me, Claire, remember? I'm a friend." Claire said as she approached the Cobra Zord.
The Cobra Zord continued to hiss at her but that didn't stop her as the Pink Ranger continued to approach and spoke to it.
"It's okay. I know you were alone for a long time. But I'm here now, I'm here to bring you back. So please…trust me." Claire told the Zord.
The Cobra Zord then lowered its head to her and Claire gently placed her hand in front of its nose before it gently used its tongue to lick at her affectionately causing her to chuckle.
"There. That wasn't so hard was it?" Claired said.
(End of flashback)
"In anycase, how about we bring the hurt to these guys?!" Claire said.
"Did you even have to ask?!" Dean said before he brought out a Megazord Card that was a combination between the Nexus Prime Megazord and the Cobra Zord. "Load Megazord Card!"
Dean loads the Card into his Morpher.
"Initiate Megazord Prime, Cobra Formation!"
Then the words 'Initiate Cobra Formation' appeared on the screen.
(Megazord Sequence)
In a desert landscape, the Nexus Cobra Zord emerges from the sands as it hisses and heads towards the Megazord as it was waiting for him.
The Chopper Zord then detaches itself from the Megazord. Then the Cobra Zord jumps before its tail folds in half revealing connector both itself and the Megazord as they link together and the Cobra Zord forms the left arm.
Then the Megazord's helmet changes form. It was now in the form of a purple cobra's head with red eyes and a purple mouthpiece with a snake skin pattern.
"Nexus Prime Megazord - Cobra Formation!" The Rangers declared as the Megazord showed off the Cobra Zord as it was standing in a desert.
(End of sequence)
Claire soon appeared in the Megazord's cockpit to join her team and the newly formed Megazord stood in front of the Xe-Bots ready for battle.
The Nexus Rangers then swung their left arm downward.
The Megazord then throws its right arm downward which detaches the Cobra Zord's which creates a purple energy line between it and its main body, almost like a yo-yo while its blade spins rapidly.
The Rangers roared before they raised and swung their left arm around.
The Megazord then swung its weapon at the Xe-Bots, slashing through several of them with the blades around its head.
The Megazord retracted the Cobra Zord's head, it then saw a group of Xe-Bots with armed drills charging at it.
The Rangers then swung their left arm forward, and the Megazord swung and launched the Cobra Zord's head before it roared and tied its energy rope around to crush the Xe-Bots to destroy them as they exploded.
The Megazord soon retracted the Cobra Zord's head and saw the remaining Xe-Bots in front of it.
"Super Nexus Blaster!" Dean calls out to summon the Blaster before he catches.
Dean readies and aims the Blaster while the others swing their left arms around.
In return the Megazord raised and swung the Cobra Zord's head as energy around its blades as they spun rapidly.
"Nexus Prime Megazord! Cobra Yo-Yo Strike!" The Rangers said as Dean fired his blaster while the others thrust their right arms forward.
The Nexus Prime Megazord swung the Cobra Zord's head forward as it headed towards the Xe-Bots with energy enhanced blades and fangs around its head and teeth.
The attack hits and the Xe-Bots explode. The Megazord retracted the Cobra Zord's head before it spun around and swung its left arm to the right and left and swung it forward.
"Never underestimate humans!" The Nexus Rangers said.
(Later)
After the battle, the Rangers had brought the Cobra Zord back to its hangar. They soon arrived at the command room where Salamandinay, Kaname, Naga and Pixel were waiting for them.
They then begin to speak about the status of the Ryuu-Shin-Ki after Chiaki and her team had brought them back to Embryo's former laboratory.
"Well how are the Ryuu-Shin-Ki?" Dean asked.
"According to Chiaki, most of their parts were severely damaged but fortunately, it will only set us back for a few weeks." Salamandinay told him and the others.
"That's a relief." Dean said.
"Yes. And once again, thank you. I know this was a difficult decision you had to make." Salamandinay told the Red Ranger.
"Hey, like I said, it's fine. Afterall, you were willing to put your trust in me. So I'm going to put my trust in you." Dean said.
"Then you have my word. I will never betray that trust." Salamandinay said before turning to Shin. "And you also have my thanks as well. Without you, we would've lost everything."
"It's fine. I only did what I thought was right." Shin told her.
"But I'm still curious about how you know so much about Ragna-mail technology." Salamandinay said.
Shin lowered his head while his friends flinched before Dean coughed in his hand to get their attention and spoke for him.
"Do you really have to ask? I mean, Shin is a really smart guy. Something like that would be simple for him." Dean said but Salamandinay wasn't convinced by that.
"Even so, despite how different they are to a Ragna-mail, they're structures and systems are nearly identical." Salamandinay said. "I doubt even someone with Shin's great intelligence will be able to figure out how they operate."
"Well…Huh…After we woke up, Shin would often study the Ragna-mail from old footage and…" Dean said as he tried to come up with anything.
As Dean was speaking on his behalf, Shin remembers that dream he had, that's when he made his decision and told them the truth.
"I know…because I helped create the Ragna-mail." Shin said.
Everyone soon turns to the Blue Ranger and the other Rangers had stunned expressions that he just told Salamandinay and her subordinates.
"Pardon?" Salamandinay said.
"You did what?" Naga said.
Dean then comes to Shin's defense and tries to defuse the situation.
"No! You just misheard him. Shin's just a really smart guy and he's one of the best…" But Shin stops him by placing his hand on the Red Ranger's shoulder.
"Dean, stop. There's no point in hiding it anymore. Besides, they have a right to know." Shin told him.
"But Shin…" Dean said.
Shin then moves past the Red Ranger and stops in front of Salamandinay and her subordinates, he then confesses to them something he's been hiding for months and it was the one thing that will forever haunt him.
"I said I helped design and build the Ragna-mail. I'd help Embryo destroy our entire world." Shin told them.
Salamandinay along with Kaname and Naga were shocked to learn this while the other Rangers and Pixel grew worried about their friend.
