"This is my first time in Harrods before," Daisy said as they walked inside. "This is amazing!"

"Isn't it, though?" Mrs. Patmore smiled, hurrying into the crowd. "Come along, we need to go upstairs."

Daisy did her best to keep up, soon reaching the center of the store.

She froze, looking at the moving staircase.

"We're not going on that, are we?" she asked.

"Of course we are, we need to get upstairs, don't we?"

"I think I'd rather take regular stairs," Daisy replied.

"I'm not walking upstairs shopping at Harrods, I do enough of that every day."

"Is there an elevator, then? I really don't like the looks of this thing."

Mrs. Patmore sighed. "Yes, over this way."

They walked over to a corner and got in the elevator.

"Cozy, isn't it?" Mrs. Patmore laughed as they squeezed in between some other women and the elevator operator.

The elevator had almost reached their floor when there was a strange noise, and it stopped.

"What was that?" Daisy asked.

"Nothing to worry about," the operator assured her. "It happens all the time."

"Never happened to me here before," Mrs. Patmore grumbled.

"We're stuck here, then?" Daisy asked.

"Until it gets moving again," the operator said. "Some days it's temperamental."

"See, Daisy, if we'd just taken the moving stairs, we could walk the rest of the way."

"How long will it take?" Daisy asked.

As if answering her question, the elevator jerked, and began moving again.

"Here's our floor," Mrs. Patmore said. "Ready, Daisy?"

"Yes," she replied, hurrying out as quickly as she could.
