Despite being slightly tired and irritated, the party went well. It was nice to see MJ and Mayday. They were also both very happy to see and visit with Miguel.

Seemed he was really popular, as everyone wanted him to try a dish they brought. Multiple times. Unfortunately he was ultimately too polite to decline them all.

The sound of him retching caught a few ears.

One set was Gwen.

"Hey, are you ok?" She knocked at the bathroom door. The water ran for a moment before the door opened, "Oh, Miguel. Are you ok?"

"Uh…yes, I'm fine. I didn't know you would be here," he looked to the wall.

"Jess told me to come after school," she rubbed her arm, "Said she wanted to talk."

"Oh," he nodded, "I…want to apologize…"

She put her hand up, "No, it's OK. Me and my dad are on better terms now. So a few good things came out of it."

"That's good. I'm happy for you. As it stands, I'm still sorry."

Gwen smiled at the genuine nature of his apology, "Thanks. So where's the party?"

"Outside. But I was told I can't come, for fear of scaring people." Lyla crossed her arms.

"Who would be scared of you?"

"I know right!"

"I think they're about to do presents. It's been going on for like an hour already. You should make a plate," he led her out.

"I bet she's gotten a ton of stuff. Remember how much stuff she got at her HQ shower?"

"She probably doesn't have to buy anything baby related for a solid year," he scoffed. He knows he bought her a convertible stroller and baby laundry detergent.

Jess was laughing with some of the attendees when she saw her protégé.

"There she is," she hurried over, giving her a little hug, "let's take a walk."

"It's ok, honest. I understand that the fundamentals of being a spider person is still going to be difficult," Gwen brushed her platinum blonde away to give a little smile.

Jess gently rubbed her temple, "Ok, remember, we are still here to support each other, ok?"

"Yes mom," she teased.

"Whatever. Come on and grab some food. I need to make sure my guests aren't trying to make Miguel sick again," she pat her hand and stood up.

Just as Jess said, Miguel hadn't gone back out there. He was hiding in the front room with Mayday.

"Are the ladies scaring you?" Spiderwoman teased.

"You can't leave me alone with them," he shook his head, tossing the baby, "They're all crazy."

"True. Well you can chill in here with May for a while," her and Gwen continued on.

2099 sighed in relief, "Thank you."

"Social battery drained?"

"I don't want to be force fed again. I'll go back out in a minute. I just need a break," Miguel tossed Mayday a few more times, smiling as she giggled, "I think someone needs a change."

"Is it you?"

"Shock you."

Mig did manage to join the party as it was drawing to its end and Jess was opening all her gifts. Mainly gift cards and money. Something she had suggested, considering how many products she got from the spider society.

Though she did get quite a few nursing bras and a nice set of pumps. Some comedian got her lingerie. Because that was going to be the first thing in her mind when dealing with the baby.

She shook her head in amusement and decided to help Gwen make a to-go plate, "Take some food to your dad too."

"Will do," she stacked them in the bag, "Don't think I would be able to eat all this on my own if I tried."

"This just means I won't have to cook for the next couple days," MJ packed her couple of bags, "This was a fun break."

"You guys need to come and visit more often. Maybe we can have a movie night soon," Spidermom suggested.

"We can always have a slumber party," Gwen pointed out.

"That would be the most fun," MJ agreed.

"We'll plan it out," she walked inside to find Miguel, she would have him help them take things back to their worlds.

He had, of course, made his way to his room and fallen asleep holding Mayday.

"Miguelito?" Jess rubbed his head, getting a quiet grunt in reply, "You sleepy?"

"Mmm."

"OK, You get some sleep," she kissed his forehead. She would help MJ, Gwen could probably do it on her own.

"You think it's going to work?" Mj passed Jess a pair of pj pants.

"All things considered, he's been reluctant but hasn't fought about much more than the nappies. That will probably take him some time," she slid the pants up Mig's legs.

"He listens to you, so that's good," the redhead commented, investigating the room, "Oh, I always loved cloth. We really only get to use them at night for Maybug."

"I did some research. Cheaper, prettier and supposedly less rashes."

"And I'm surprised," Mj rubbed Miguel's bottom, "I always believed they were bulky."

"Not these days. Just depends how you layer them. But these are super absorbent while being on the thin side."

"Bamboo?"

"The one he's wearing right now is cotton. He had a blend yesterday. I don't see a major difference. But I really liked the flats, they felt so old fashioned and authentic," Jess couldn't help but gush some.

"Let me know how the hybrids work," she gently slid Mayday from his hold, "We better be off. I'll tell Peter you guys said hi."

"Have a good night."
