Mig stretched out, his legs shaking and his lips smacking. He ran his hand along his right side. Immediately he was alert and worried, searching for Mayday.
"You didn't roll over on her," Lyla assured him, "MJ got her before going home last night."
A sigh of relief passed his lips, "What time is it?"
"About six am."
Mig nodded. He checked his stitches and other injuries. Everything healed. Good.

"Aren't you supposed to use the diaper? You did that yesterday too." The sprite tsked, "Can't even keep your word on something simple?"
"There was a party going on, did you really expect me to do that and hope no one walked in on that?" He scoffed, "And Jess is asleep right now and I'm awake. Am I supposed to saturate myself in waste until she wakes up?"
"Just because you have a point, doesn't mean you're still not keeping your word~!"
He just rolled his eyes at her, flushing the toilet and cleaning his hands.

Miguel panted as he jogged around town. It was a really nice, quiet town. Had to admit, it was a pretty prime place to raise a kid. At least for now.
Fresh air was surely something he missed. Fresh air minus the whole fighting bad guys and stuff of that nature. He wouldn't admit it, though it was something all spider people had in common, but there were times he loathed this life.
He got a good ten mile jog in one way, taking a little breather before he prepared to head back to Jess'. Just as he thought he would relax and make his way back he could hear the tell tell signs of trouble. Looks like things were about to get a little lively.

A group of three had a woman pinned against a tree in fear. She had been out to start her morning commute when they had chased her into the park.
"Come on, we're not gonna hurt you," one smirked, "We just want to have a little fun."
"Don't you want to have some fun, baby?" another licked his lips.
"It's like seven am, is this really prime assault time?" Miguel asked from behind them.
"The h3ll are you?" the leader demanded, pulling a knife out.
"I'd ask if it's obvious, but I forgot where I am," Mig crossed his arms.
"How about you just mind your business. We're just having a conversation with our lady friend," one smirked at him.
"Right," he webbed two of them, dragging them forward into the ground, and webbed the other one to a tree.
The woman was in shock, not sure how to react at first.
"Do you feel safe leaving the park or do you need an escort out?"

"Lyla, do you know if Jess is still asleep?" Miguel jogged back.
"Not since I'm here with you, buddy. But it seems like she tends to wake up about 8 or 8:30, so she's probably about to get up if she isn't already."
He hurried into the house. No Jess in the kitchen, so she was probably still asleep or just in her room. That worked out well for him.
Jessica had actually been in the bathroom dealing with her hair. The afro was glorious, but it required a lot of maintaining and she just was not going to have the strength to deal with all this.
"Good morning! Ohhhhh! How pretty!"
"Good morning Lyla, how was the jog?"
"It was eventful. We stopped an assault."
"Who wakes up with the sun and decides to start their day like that," she rolled her eyes, "Losers and degenerates."
With her hair done she was ready to start her day.
"Good morning Miguel. My house smells delightful and I hope it's from you and not a pest having let herself in again."
Mig turned, setting a plate for her at the table, "I was feeling better today so I made you a meal."
"How very thoughtful," she smiled, taking a seat, "Mmm, quesadilla, nice."
He sat at the seat opposite her, giving a small smile, taking a bite, "I haven't seen you with knots in a while. It looks nice."
"Thank you," She returned his little smile with one of her own, "Yummy."
"Jeeeess, Miggy didn't use his nappies yesterday."
"Do you have something against me having nice things?" Miguel watched the sprite float across the table.
"We won't count yesterday as one of your three days," she said simply, "But, I have to give you a bath and your shot."

Miguel leaned into his caretaker's capable hands. It felt like he was melting into a puddle of ecstasy.
"Feel good?" She massaged the shampoo into his scalp.
"Mmmm."
"Good. I told you it was nice to have someone do these things for you," she took the hose, blocking the water from spraying in his face as she rinsed, "Alright, bath time is over, time to get dressed."
"It just started," he sulked, pulling the plug so she didn't have to lean over.
"That's why you're a prune."
He looked at his hands, climbing from the tub, "I need this tub. Nonegotiable."
X
"How's that feel?"
Mig looked at himself in the mirror, "it feels…uhm…snug."
"Too tight?"
"No, not tight, just snug. You're sure it's not noticeable?"
"Nope."
"Really sure?"
"Yep."
He checked again, "It feels noticeable."
"That's you imagining things."
"I promise you can't notice it," Jess walked off, carrying his things to be tossed in the wash basket.

Day three was far calmer for the duo. It mainly consisted of Miguel laying his head on Jessica's lap as they read or watched TV. At least it was far easier for Miguel to go without a crowd. It still wasn't easy and took coaxing, but easier.
Halfway through their current movie, the door opened.
"Hey babe!" Jess gently climbed from under Miguel, "Welcome home."
"Hey Sweetie," Virgil met her lips with his own, "Did you behave while I was gone?"
"Never. How was the trip?" She rubbed his head as he leaned down and gave her stomach a kiss.
"More me holding people's hands as they tell me what they want, me nodding and agreeing that it's possible, then telling them what will actually happen. The usual," he pglanced behind her, "So that's the Miguel you and my sister spoke of?"
"Yep, that's him," she nodded off to 2099, as he awkwardly waved from the couch, "Miguel, this is my husband, Virgil."
Mig quickly stood up and walked over, "Nice to meet you. Jess has told me a lot about you."
"I'm sure she didn't exaggerate on how dashing I am," he rubbed his beard.
There was no denying, the man was well groomed. His rich complexion and brown eyes made him very alluring to Jess. The long locks were probably a bonus.
"And you are bigger than she described, but just as cute," he cupped Miguel's chin, causing him to blush in surprise, "Welcome to the family," he pat his arm.
"I…uhmm…thank you," he averted his gaze, blushing harder as he heard Jess snicker, "What's so funny!?"
"You," she smirked, "You hungry, babe?"
"Please tell me there are leftovers from yesterday," Virgil removed his tie and rushed to the kitchen, "Thank the lord! Is that carrot cake!?"
"It took a lot of willpower, but we saved you a piece."
The man mock sobbed, "This is so beautiful."
Miguel was still standing by the door. It was all so strangely…normal.
