Loki walked down the school hallway in Kuri's form. Kuri was sick, so she had overslept. This gave Loki the chance to mess with her life. Namely, he was going after Deku. He was an easy target, and messing with him was a straight shot to messing with the Titans.

He wrote a note to Deku: "I know your secret. I want the ring you protected last night. Locker 187—I'm sure you don't need the combination."

He turned to Robin, who, of course, thought he was Kuri. "Give this to Deku. Don't tell him who it's from."

Robin raised his eyebrows, but did it. Loki was sure Robin was surprised that "Kuri" was showing such confidence.

Kuri really is a fool. This will cause her unhappiness for some time. Loki smirked.

Deku read the note, but he couldn't believe it. Someone knew his secret…but what secret? Which one? He scanned the room. What am I supposed to do now?

Loki went to locker 187 after school to see what Deku had decided. He opened the locker. Inside it was a note. It said, "Turn around." Loki turned and found himself face to face with Deku.

"Kuri?" Deku said. His tone was part accusing, part hurt. "What are you doing here?"

"Double-crossing you," Loki/Kuri said.

"What do you know?" Deku asked. "Why are you doing this?"

"Because I hate you," Loki/Kuri replied simply, glaring at him.

Deku felt the words pierce his heart. He ran away, and suddenly Robin stepped in front of him.

"Why would you say something like that?" Robin said to "Kuri".

"Hi Robin," he replied. "In case you didn't figure it out, it's me, Loki. Kuri's still asleep. She got sick. Weak human…"

"Why did you do that to Deku?" Robin asked her.

"Because I wanted to annoy you, and infuriate Kuri," Loki said. "It was fun."

He smiled, and then vanished. Kuri lunged and tackled him through the window, just barely missing.

"I HATE LOKI!" exclaimed Kuri, pounding on the locker.

"Calm down," said Robin. He looked concerned.

"I'm…fine," Kuri replied, breathing hard. "But…how dare he hurt Deku like that…he…is not involved…and Loki's clearly trying to involve him."

"Deku is involved," Robin said. "He is a Titan, that makes him involved."

"You…jerk," Kuri said, glaring at him. "What makes you have to do that to him?"

"Like it or not, Titans are connected," Robin said. "We have to deal with One For All. And Deku has to deal with Loki. And Aliens.."

Kuri caught her breath. "Just stop. He's supposed to be resting."

"You don't know heroes very well," Robin replied. "The best thing for Deku right now is to kick villain ass. Even better if it's someone universally powerful. OFA is nothing compared to that."

"Fine…" Hana sighed. "Please…tell Deku that…I'm sorry."

She turned and was about to leave, but Robin caught her by the shoulder.

"You owe it to him…to tell him yourself," Robin said.

"Okay…why am I still talking to you and not him?" Kuri joked.

"You hurt him. Really bad. He can't face you, he can't face anyone." Robin said to Kuri, rather coldly.

"It wasn't me! It was Loki!" Kuri exclaimed, tears pouring from her eyes. She was angry with herself for feeling so remorseful for something that wasn't her fault, and some boy that she barely knew!

"Stop blaming him! You don't really care about what happens to Deku, as long as you're okay, right?" Robin said accusingly.

"N-No…I really do care! I…can't talk to you, Robin…when Deku comes back, let me know, I-I want to see him."

"Fine. For his sake, not yours."

The next day, Kuri went to Deku's room, and rang the doorbell.

"Good morning, Deku," Kuri said, attempting at a cheery tone.

"Good morning, Kuri," Deku said, not meeting her eyes, and not sitting down beside her.

"Deku…I-I'm sorry," Kuri said. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have gotten sick…I could've stayed awake, but I never thought Loki would…and I just…please, Deku, don't hate me forever!"

By this time, she was sobbing into her hands. "I c-can't stand people hating me."

"I don't hate you," Deku said softly. He sat down next to her. "Please don't cry! I forgive you."

Kuri lifted her head and wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry. It's just…please understand…this is the point of no return. I didn't want to involve you. But Robin insists that all Titans—in fact, all heroes—are connected. But I'm also connected to the villains. At some point, you probably will hate me. And I'll deserve it."

"No you won't," Deku said. "And why would I hate you? Does Loki do things like that a lot?"

"He's a Trickster, Deku," Kuri sighed. "And I'm his favorite mark, currently. I refused to be his Asgardian Priestess, so he fucks with my life. I wanted to spare you. I'm sorry. My advice to you is get out while you still can, despite the danger to you in Japan."

"I think…villains will find me, no matter what," Deku said.

"That's what scares me…it puts you in unnecessary danger," Kuri replied.

"But…you're in danger too," Deku said. "Being around me puts you in danger of…One For All."

A shiver went through Kuri. "He's really alive? Well…of course he would be."

Kuri smiled a little bit. "Well then, we're equally in danger. Oh well."
