Albert looked out the study window and saw a carriage pulling up to the house. William stepped out and leaned inside talking to another passenger inside. The eldest Moriarty brother raised an eyebrow wondering who William was talking to, and why his brother seemed so cheerful. He had not seen William smile like that since Louis went missing. But when he saw the figure step out of the carriage with William's help. His green eyes widened in disbelief.
Quickly he jumped to his feet and ran outside to see if it was true. "Louis?!" He gasped seeing his youngest brother. Louis looked at him and nodded slightly. The man looked pale, and a bit sick. "How, Moran, he said." Albert stuttered. "A doctor had found him and kept him alive. He is in bad shape though and needs allot of rest." William said helping Louis inside.
William helped Louis to his room, and Albert grabbed a spare pair of glasses since Louis' other pair had been broken. "Thank you," Louis said softly putting them on. "Are you alright, do you need anything to eat or drink?" Albert asked, seemingly almost nervous. "No, I am not hungry right now." Louis said. William looked at him curiously, noticing something seemed off about him. But wasn't quite sure what it was.
Louis laid down to sleep after he spoke some with his brothers. He told them what little he could remember, which is to say. Almost nothing. Perhaps whatever drugs they had used on him damaged his mind some. And that was why he seemed not quite himself. But he seemed almost, scared. Which was unusual for Louis. He basically never seemed to be scared of anything. Especially to be scared of his own brothers.
"I'll send for the local doctor. Just to make sure he is okay. It seems impossible though. That he is alive, after everything." Albert said as he and William left Louis' room so Louis could rest. "Indeed." William frowned. As he had left the room with Albert, he had noticed something. Louis' scar was gone.
"Maybe I am imagining things. But are we positive that is Louis?" Albert spoke up once far enough from the room. William sighed. "You noticed that too? " He questioned. Albert nodded. "For now, let's just celebrate his, survival. And only act on our suspicions once we have more evidence." He added. Albert nodded.
"After all. I would rather believe a miracle has happened, then accept the idea that Louis is truly gone." Albert nodded once more in agreement as they went to the study. "If it isn't him though, and we uncover the truth?" Albert asked pouring them both some wine. "Then he better have one hell of a good reason for lying." William smiled drinking the wine. Albert smirked, understanding what his brother would do if this wasn't Louis. If by some horrific chance this was not Louis. And if somehow this person had anything to do with what happened to Louis. It was clear William and Albert would make what happened to Louis look like mercy compared to what they would do with the imposter.
