William glanced at 'Louis', frowning. He then looked at Liza. "Don't worry. We won't kill you, as long as you do what we say." She said as the man with the gun made William sit down. Louis seemed surprised at first. As if he was going to protest what was happening. But Liza snapped her fingers, and to William's surprise, Louis suddenly seemed to be in a trance like state. His eyes were open. But glazed and he looked more like a man asleep than awake.
"Eric Strauss the man who hired you originally is dead. And no, I did not kill him. My husband did kill him. Before his death he mentioned you are a crime consultant?" Liza poured some tea and offered the cup to William. William remained calm and took the cup. "So, what is it you want from me exactly?" He asked, sipping the tea. It was clear she wanted something. He would be dead by now if she didn't. Nor would she have gone out of her way to use this 'Louis' to lure him here if she merely wanted to kill him. "To be honest? For you to finish what Eric hired you to do." She replied. William raised an eyebrow.
"What about him?" William looked at 'Louis'. "He is not complicit, at least not willingly. Is he?" During their research into the Morris family, he had learned Liza had spent the last two years abroad, studying methods of mind control. Mainly, drug induced hypnosis. "Haiti has a vast culture of drugs. One of which can make someone almost a mindless slave. With the right dosage and dilution. They can appear normal. But with proper triggers, will do as their master tells them." Liza replied with a smile. "And no. The tea you just drank was not drugged. I need you fully aware and in control of your own actions." She added.
William glared at her slightly. 'So, this man, is just another victim. Perhaps she even tricked him into genuinely thinking he is Louis...' He thought looking at 'Louis'. 'Louis' still looked as if he was sleeping, though his eyes open. "So. You wish for me to go through with destroying your husband? And then what. You will let me, and what is left of my family and friends go unharmed? Why should I trust you?" He asked.
"You and I want the same thing. For different reasons, but in the end. Our goal is the same. Do this, and you get what you want. Don't do it, and that is fine. I won't force you. However. Without your help, I won't release my control over him. Help, and I will give him the antidote to the drug I used on him." Liza stated calmly. William frowned. True, he wanted the destruction of Earl Morris. It was no longer just a normal job for him. But a personal vendetta. And, if this man really is a victim. He should do what he can to help him.
"I will keep in contact with you, you don't have to answer me now. But I hope to know by the end of the week if you will help or not." Liza handed him a card with an address on it. "Meet me here on Sunday evening. After six." She got to her feet and left with the two men, leaving William and 'Louis' behind. As she left, she snapped her fingers once more, causing 'Louis' to awaken from his trance like state.
"Ngh, brother William?" He asked softly as he came too. The room spinning slightly. William sighed and helped him to his feet so he wouldn't fall over. 'For now, I'll let him think he is Louis.' William decided, looking at the man. Just as the two were about to exit the shop, the door burst open.
"William!" Moran had a gun ready, Fred and Albert behind him. William's eyes widened slightly, then he sighed. "It's fine. They already left. Though oddly enough it seems Liza wishes to actually hire us." He said. Moran looked at William then Albert. "She didn't hurt you?" Albert questioned, examining William. "No. However, we need to speak later. In private, about him." William whispered the last part and glanced at 'Louis'. Albert nodded and returned home with them.
