Starro. Possibly one of our most powerful enemies, he was destroying the city of Metropolis with enormous ease. The townspeople ran for their lives as the huge villain effortlessly destroyed buildings, but suddenly Starro's limbs were trapped thanks to Diana's Lasso of Truth, huge chains thanks to Jessica, A paralyzing spell from Zatanna, the huge Kara's strength and thanks to roots that I would use to retain the villain.
"It's over Starro, your plans of conquest came to an end. After a relentless and very dangerous search, Bumblebee and Batgirl finally managed to find the Hatorei crystals." Diana said as Karen and Barbara approached with the crystals.
"Once these crystals come together, we will have the ability to send you where you came from." Diana said but the moment was interrupted when we all heard that a cell phone was receiving a call.
"Oops, I'm so sorry guys." Barbara said as she went through her pockets until she found her cell phone and would answer it.
"Hello? Yes, of course I can talk." The redhead would go somewhere to talk but she would be taking the fragment we needed to defeat Starro which made everyone look at each other with concern.
"Harleen, how are you? Guess where you are? Are you at the zoo? At the comic book store? Not at the Gotham Zoo." while Barbara was talking behind her the girls and I were running comically as Starro chased us.
"You're in Metropolis!?, Tomorrow at school!?. Oh God, this is the best news I've ever heard in my life !!." Barbara screamed, but the redhead didn't realize that Kara had been crushed to the ground and would be crushed over and over again by one of Starro's arms.
"I'm sure Benja will be very happy when she finds out that you'll be here. I can't wait to tell her this, we'll see you tomorrow !!." Barbara said as explosions could be heard behind her due to magic spheres, Kara's thermal vision, Karen's projectiles and my fireballs that I had launched.
When the redhead turned around she saw how we were all clearly weakened on the ground while Starro was nowhere to be found.
"Hooray !!. They defeated Starro !!." Barbara yelled with a smile as she approached where we were.
"No, he beat us." Karen said as she stepped out of some rubble.
"Over and over again." Jessica said clearly exhausted and somewhat sore.
"We only managed to send her to another dimension." Diana said as the Amazon warrior rose with some difficulty.
"Please tell me what was not sent to my dimension." I said with concern and fear at the same time.
"Don't worry honey, Starro was sent to a dimension where he will be fine and can't hurt anyone. Don't worry." Zatanna said with a smile. Diana and Kara were annoyed to hear what the magical girl called me, but they were too sore to be jealous.
"In short. We lost." Kara said as she climbed out of a hole in the ground.
"Well, we may have lost this fight. But we won something better, my best friend is moving to Metropolis !!." Barbara yelled as the girl started to dance as a building fell behind us making us all sigh a little tired.
Monday arrived. We were all in the cafeteria while we talked, we all saw how Garth walked calmly with his lunch but suddenly he would be knocked down since Doris had put her foot in the boy's path causing him to fall. Doris was with Selina, Leslie, Pam, and Carol, when the girls saw Garth fall they all started laughing making Diana look at this with annoyance.
"Looks like Selina Kyle has new friends." the Amazon warrior said seriously.
"Did someone say, new friend?" We all turned around to see Harleen in front of us as the girl ate some gum.
"No, I said new friends. In the plural." Diana said but at that moment Barbara and I would stand up due to excitement.
"Harleen / Leeny-beani !!." Barbara and I yelled at the same time.
"Babsie-Wabsie, Benja !!." Harleen yelled as the girl waited for a hug.
Barbara and I didn't think twice and we both went to welcome Harleen. While I got up and ran to where the girl was, Barbara had climbed on the table and would start running causing the food of the rest of the team to fall to the floor while later she and I owe Harleen a hug.
"Harleen. What are you doing here, I thought you'd be in Gotham." I said surprised but happy at the same time.
"Hehehe, I'm glad you asked. I had one more surprise for you, I just needed to wait for the perfect moment." Harleen said with a smile.
"Girls, this is Harleen. My BFGC." Barbara said with a smile as she introduced her best friend.
"Best friend from Gotham City." Zatanna said as she looked at Kara and it was because the Kryptonian girl seemed confused by the abbreviations Barbara had said.
"It is an honor to meet Barbara's best friend." Diana could not introduce herself and it was because when she wanted to shake hands with Harleen the Amazon warrior would be electrocuted due to the joke of Barbara's best friend.
"Hahahaha the classic electric squeeze joke, good that Harleen." Barbara said as she giggled ignoring the fact that Diana's hand had swelled a bit from the electric shock.
"Oh that's nothing, I also have this new flower." Harleen said as she showed a flower, Barbara's best friend pressed a small button that had the flower causing a strong blast of water to hit Jessica causing the green lantern girl to fall to the ground while she was completely soaked.
"A new fart cushion." Harleen said as she hit the cushion in the middle of Kara and Karen causing a strong blast of air that hit both girls and made them disheveled due to the force of the blow.
"And this new pen with invisible ink." Harleen said as she held up her pen, but she would accidentally squirt a jet of ink at Zatanna's sweater causing the magical girl to petrify as she stared at her stain in horror.
"Whoops, I think I got confused. This is my permanent industrial ink pen. Sorry." Barbara's best friend said as she walked away from Zatanna without noticing the magical girl's angry expression.
"Hahahaha, she's very funny. I've been thinking and I have plans so that we can spend time with Harleen so she can get to know metropolis." Barbara said with a smile making the girls feel a chill run down her back due to fear.
"That's wonderful, I hope you like being here with us in Metropolis, Harleen." I said with a smile.
"Hahahaha, I sure do. And you girls, what do you think?" Barbara asked as she looked at the rest of the team.
"It would be an honor." Diana said as she tried to stay calm, that statement surprised the rest of the team.
"Great !!. Come on Harleen, let's show you around the school." Barbara said as she, Harleen and I left the cafeteria.
"Diana, what are you doing?" Jessica asked as she looked at the girl.
"This cannot be removed with magic." Zatanna said very annoyed as she looked at the ink stain.
"It was the most horrible seconds that happened, and I was in the ghost zone once." Kara said very annoyed.
"She is crazy." Karen said but at that moment the girls saw that I had entered the room to look for my backpack.
"Girls, it makes me very happy to know that you agree to help Harleen stay in Metropolis. You are the best, I am sure you will get along very well with her." I said with a smile as I walked out of the cafeteria to catch up with Harleen and Barbara.
"We have to do our best. Harleen is our guest and as hosts we have to help her, after all. She is a friend of Barbara's, hear some reason." Diana said as she looked at the rest of the team.
The girls and I were on the subway train, we were going to take a little shortcut to go downtown faster so as not to waste time. The girls and I had paid to come in but Harleen would jump the bar making Diana pay for Barbara's best friend.
The first thing we did was go to an arcade, we were all playing while Harleen walked to see what to find until she saw Kara playing a video game, the Kryptonian girl was very focused and it was because she was about to break a record.
"Hey, what are you doing? Why do you press so many buttons? What character are you? What are you doing?" Harleen started bombarding Kara with many questions which caused her to lose the game.
"From what I see, you are not good at video games." Harleen said, that made Kara rip the lever off the machine and smash it to pieces due to the force of it.
Now we were all in the park enjoying the fresh air and the tranquility, Jessica was feeding the pigeons when suddenly Harleen started running in front of her causing the birds to fly away which annoyed the green lantern girl.
We were all in sweet justice to have a quiet moment while we chatted. Zatanna was about to eat a cupcake but she was interrupted when she heard someone chew with her mouth open and she could see that it was Harleen, Barbara's best friend was chewing in a very loud and unpleasant way which caused the magical girl ran to the bathroom due to nausea while Harleen ate her cupcake.
At Karen's request, we are all now in the cinema watching a movie while the girl was eating her popcorn, at that moment Harleen would sit next to Karen and it was because that was her seat.
"Emm, do you like the movie?" Karen asked sheepishly.
"I love her. That's why I read the spoiler." Harleen said before whispering to Karen how the movie ends and what happens which causes the girl to drop the bucket of popcorn due to her shock while Harleen giggled.
Diana was still paying for the times Harleen went over the railing, the Amazon warrior lost count of how many coins she had been using while Barbara's best friend was doing stunts back and forth until Diana realized that she no longer had any coins.
"You should be better off with your finances, honey." Harleen said as she left, but Barbara's best friend didn't notice that Diana was completely red due to anger.
Zatanna, Jessica, Karen, Diana, and Kara were now at the base. Some girls were sitting on the couches while others were on the floor completely tired after their day with Harleen.
"Good thing I don't feel pain." Kara said as the Kryptonian girl was staring at the ceiling.
"We have to tell Barbara the truth about Harleen." Zatanna said as she had her face on the floor.
By this time Barbara and I had entered the slide that we had placed at the base.
"Hahahaha, and. Did you enjoy the best day of your life?" Barbara asked with a huge smile.
The rest of the team looked at each other due to nervousness as they did not know how Barbara would react to the truth.
"I'm glad to hear that you love Harleen, just like she loves you. That's why I've been organizing activities that we can do together throughout the year." Barbara said as the redhead sent a message to all of our cell phones.
"I know what you're thinking. Why only one year? How about five years? No, fifty years. Or how about we coincide on a day when we're dead so we can share a tombstone." Barbara said as she sent all the activities to our cell phones.
"Hahahaha, you know something. I've been thinking about it and I think, it would be a nice time to show Harleen our secret base." said the redhead. That statement surprised everyone including me.
"Barbara, don't you think it's crazy to show Harleen our secret base?" I ask curiously.
"It is not prudent." Diana added.
"Super not prudent." Zatanna said as he looked at the rest of the team.
"But why?." asked Barbara somewhat confused and it was because of the strange behavior of the girls.
"We don't have enough chairs." Kara said and quickly the Kryptonian girl began to disintegrate each seat of hers using her thermal vision something that surprised Barbara and me.
"Kara, why did you do that?" I asked very surprised. My Question made the girls keep quiet which piqued Barbara's curiosity and mine.
"Girls, are you hiding something from us?" Barbara asked as she looked at the rest of the team.
"No, guys. Please, we are not hiding anything." Zatanna said with a nervous smile.
Barbara and I looked at each other before nodding, at which point the girls would be caught by a couple of vines and Barbara would quickly take Diana's Lasso of Truth and throw it to where the girls were catching everyone.
"What about now?." Barbara asked seriously.
"Harleen, she's the worst." Jessica said confessing the truth.
"Worst of the worst." Karen added.
"When I thought she wouldn't be worse, she only got worse." Zatanna admitted.
"I didn't enjoy her company." Diana confessed.
"It's like a mad scientist creates the most disgusting and annoying person in the world, he can't even compete against her." Kara said. Which left me and Barbara very surprised that the Kryptonian girl had not been caught by the lasso of truth.
"Girls, I can't believe it. Harleen went out of her way to please you and is that how you all pay her?" Barbara asked very surprised but sad at the same time.
"Barbara please let me explain." Jessica tried to speak but the green lantern girl saw how the redhead was shedding tears.
"No. Girls, they are mean, very evil. And I'm sorry, but this is how they treat my best friend, so maybe we don't have to be friends either." Barbara said as she tried to climb the slide, but at that point I used some vines to help the redhead climb.
A very deep silence was present and the girls watched as I took the Lasso of truth and put it around my waist.
"Harleen is the craziest girl I have ever met in my life, when I met her I could see that she was a girl who loves to make jokes and I respect that. After that I realized that Harleen is a very nice and friendly person when you already know her with her. "I said as she took off the Lasso of Truth and looked at the girls sadly.
"Girls, I can't believe it. I always thought you guys were good people who would never dare to judge people for the way they are, and listen to what all of you said about Harleen. It saddens me." I said as he walked to where the slide was.
"Benja." Diana tried to talk to me but she saw how I used the air element to leave the place to avoid listening to them.
The girls were completely silent as they felt their hearts break but the people most affected were Diana and Kara. The Amazon warrior shed a few tears as she watched me go without letting her explain.
"Come on Diana, maybe some ice cream will cheer you up a bit." Zatanna said as the girls went out to eat some ice cream.
Barbara and Harleen were in a comic book store to see what they could find, at which point Barbara's best friend found a comic that made her scream with excitement.
"Babs look. A special edition comic of a space Joker versus a caveman Batman." Harleen said with a big smile. But She would notice that Barbara was sad instead of being excited.
"What's wrong? It's not in perfect shape? Hey, son of a bitch. What kind of shit do you have here !?." Harleen yelled as she tossed the comic to the poor shop owner.
"It's not that Harleen, it's just that. My friends from Metropolis are cretins less Benja, but don't worry. We can always be together, with Benja it will only be the three of us against the world. Like in Gotham City." Barbara said with a smile.
"Oh Babs, we can always be together or we can be with some girls I met, I'm sure you will like them." Harleen said with a smile, drawing Barbara's attention.
Dusk was coming, in the street you could see a car going at full speed while the mailboxes were sent flying thanks to Doris. Selina had a car that could go very high speeds while the redhead was with a bat to break the mailboxes. Barbara was completely terrified while Harleen, Carol, Leslie, Pam, Selina, and Doris were laughing.
"Are you okay Babs ?." Asked Barbara's best friend since she noticed the fear in the redhead.
"Emm yes, just one question. We are destroying the mailboxes to put new ones right?" Barbara asked sheepishly.
"No. We destroyed them because they are poor trees that were carved and filled with the blood of other dead trees." Pam said with annoyance.
"Oh Barbara honey, don't listen to Pam. We're destroying because it's fun." Selina said with a smile as she took a quick turn causing Doris to end up hitting a bush. That made everyone laugh out loud except Barbara.
"Selina, stop here please." Carol said. The girl heeded her friend's request and they would see how Carol took out her cell phone and looked out the window.
"Isn't this Benja's house?" Barbara asked as she looked at Carol.
"Exactly, and this time he comes out after bathing." Carol said with a wicked smile. At that moment Pam, Harleen and Barbara looked only to see that I was with a towel around my waist while I was drying my hair.
Pam, Harleen, and Barbara would all turn red when they saw me nearly naked. Pam quickly pinched her nose due to a nosebleed, Harleen just whistled while Barbara was completely red as tomato as she backed away from the window while Carol took pictures.
"My love, pose for me !!" Carol screamed. When I heard that, I quickly closed the curtains only to get Carol's laugh when Selina drove out of place.
"Hahahaha, don't you think he's very sexy? Not for nothing will he be my future husband." Carol said with hearts floating around her, Pam hearing that would get very angry as she looked at Carol with annoyance.
"Selina, could you please leave me here." Barbara said as she looked at the girl. Selina would listen and stop somewhere so the redhead could get down.
"Babs, is everything okay?" Harleen asked as she looked at her friend.
"If I'm okay, I was just thinking that it might be fun to go to the movies together. I heard there is a movie that maybe we could enjoy together." The redhead said with a smile.
"Oh babe. I'd love that, but I'd like to spend some time with the girls. Don't worry, I promise we'll have a day just for the two of us tomorrow. Yes?" Harleen asked with a smile but for Barbara it was like a stab to the heart of her.
"Oh yeah okay. It's okay, see you tomorrow. I guess." Barbara said with a nervous smile as Selina drove again while the laughter of Harleen's new friends was heard from afar.
Loneliness. It was all that Barbara was feeling as she watched as she was now completely alone, the redhead's eyes filled with tears as she watched everything sadly before walking back to the city with her eyes downcast.
"Alright Harleen, your turn." Selina said as she handed the bat to Barbara's best friend.
"You know girls, destroying mailboxes is fun. But do you really want to have fun?" Harleen asked with a mad smile.
Not only had Harleen come to Metropolis with her things, she had brought a lot of fireworks and now she had put the rockets in the post office. After a few minutes Harleen had set off the pyrotechnics just for her and the girls to see the rockets explode at the post office.
Harleen started laughing like never before as her friends watched everything with a smile.
"And so girls, it's like a mailbox is destroyed." Barbara's best friend said with a smile.
"Not bad, Harleen. But what if we really have fun now?" Selina asked with a smile making the rest of the girls show a big smile. Harleen looked at this curiously and she would see something that surprised her.
Leslie rubs her fingers to generate electricity, after that she would accumulate the electricity in her hands before launching it into the sky. A strong lightning bolt would strike Leslie, the girl effortlessly absorbed the electricity and would show a big smile as she now wore her villain clothes.
The ground began to shake and a couple of stems and roots began to cover Pam's body, the girl's hair turned a more intense red while her skin was now a mint green color, the vines slowly lowered just to reveal her villain outfit.
Carol's ring began to shine brightly, the girl brought her ring close to her bow on her head so that it became a princess tiara. Carol began to fly and her clothes would transform into her Violet Lantern outfit and then a giant heart aura will completely surround her.
Harleen watched as Doris's eyes glowed a strong shade of orange as the veins on her head glowed the same color, she could see Doris's arms fill with muscles and her size increase as her clothes ripped revealing caveman clothes before hit the ground with force generating a slight earthquake.
Selina looked at her nails for a few moments before making a cut in the air, taking advantage of the darkness the girl would change into her villain outfit revealing her identity as Catwoman while she took her tail and used it as a whip.
"Girls, you are villains!?." Harleen asked incredulously before smiling.
"Why didn't they say it before?" Harleen asked before pulling a bomb out of her pocket and placing it on her head.
Harleen smiled as she made a huge gum from her mouth, at which point the bomb exploded and Harleen covered herself in gum. She only limited herself to giggling as she started spinning to fling the gum she had on her to reveal her villain outfit from hers, Harleen would take the hammer away from her and hit the ground hard before starting to giggle.
All the girls start laughing madly while the fireworks were still exploding. This was just the beginning of an unforgettable night.
