The sun was shining, there was no cloud in the sky, today was a perfect day to rest. The girls and I had done a great job protecting the city, there weren't any monsters nearby or any villains attacking. Barbara had suggested going to a Renaissance fair which we all thought was a great idea. Except Kara.

The Kryptonian girl was now standing in front of the entrance to the fair with a bored expression on her face.

"Kara!!" The Kryptonian girl turned around only to see Barbara, the redhead was wearing clothes that made her look like a bard from the middle ages.

"Barbara, what are you wearing?" Kara asked confused.

"I am a Bard. In the Middle Ages, bards were people who dedicated themselves to telling stories and poetry with some music." Barbara said with a big smile but then she noticed that the Kryptonian girl was wearing her normal clothes.

"Kara, and your costume?" The redhead asked curiously.

"Ugh, Babs. I'll never wear those costumes, I'm not a princess. I'm only here for two things. Laughing at nerds and turkey legs." The Kryptonian girl said with a smile.

"Kara, Barbara. I'm glad you came." The girls turned around only to see Karen and Jessica approaching in their costumes.

"Wow, girls. You look amazing." Barbara said with a huge smile.

"Thanks babs, I'm a ranger elf." Jessica said with a smile as she pretended to have a bow and arrow.

"Kara and your costume?" Karen asked curiously.

"Sorry Karen, but this nerdy stuff is not my thing." Kara said bored. She secretly read manga to play pranks on me, but she would never wear a costume.

"Come on Kara, the fair is only fun if you dress up." Barbara said as she pouted.

"Why don't we just go have some fun? Zatanna, Diana and Benja will be here later." Jessica proposed with a smile.

"Well, I'm already hungry anyway." Kara said with a smile as she could smell the turkey legs very well.

"Then let's not delay. We will enter the fair!" Barbara yelled with a huge smile as she and the others entered.

Everything around was almost similar to medieval times. Children played in the mud, people played instruments of the time and many people were seen in costumes.

Barbara had a big smile on her face as she watched with excitement, Kara kept her bored expression, and Jessica seemed to be thinking what would be the first thing she would do. However, Karen seemed very concerned.

"Umm, is this the renaissance fair the news talks about, where people go in but never come out?" Karen asked fearfully.

"Yes. Because it's amazing!!" Barbara yelled excitedly. But that only scared Karen.

"Please, Karen, don't listen to Babs. They're just silly rumors to scare people so they don't run out of turkey legs." Kara said with a smile. The Kryptonian girl's smile widened as a scent reached her nose.

"And speaking of which." Kara looked at a food stall where there was a girl. The girl was wearing renaissance clothes, her hair was red but in a somewhat dark tone.

"Go have fun, I'll go with Kara to get some food." Jessica said as she and the Krypton girl went to get something to eat while Karen and Barbara browsed the stalls to find something to do.

"I want a turkey leg to go, Amber." Kara said as she read the name of the girl who was at the booth.

"It's Ember." The girl said somewhat annoyed.

"I understand. A paw, Amber." The Kryptonian girl said with a smile.

"And I want corn on a stick." Jessica said with a smile. The girl just sighed before going to make the food.

"Thanks, Amber. I'm surprised that even though you don't like fairs you came." Jessica said with a smile looking at Kara.

"Are you kidding me? I love them." Kara said as Ember brings the food.

"Ha, crazy." The Kryptonian girl said as she went eating her turkey leg.

"Hehehe, excuse my friend, Amber." Jessica said sheepishly as she and Kara left the concession stand.

"My name is Ember." the girl said with a throbbing vein before sighing due to her anger. Ember looked at the people with boredom until he stopped at a girl who was wearing princess clothes.

"I think it wouldn't hurt, if my lunch hour starts now." Ember said with a smile as she watched the girl leave.

The girl was looking at her cell phone as she walked but she never noticed that Ember was following her from the shadows. The redhead stopped in an alley while the girl dressed as a princess was unaware of Ember's presence.

Ember's shadow could be seen changing shape, horns coming out of the girl's hair, her hands turning into claws and her teeth now huge, sharp fangs ready to devour the teenager.

"Hey, crazy. I'm ready for round two!" Kara yelled as she had a bone in her hand. Ember turned around only to see the Kryptonian girl.

Ember went back to her concession stand, the girl was serving almost all the turkey legs to the Kryptonian girl. Kara, on the other hand, was smiling as buckets full of turkey legs were in her arms.

"And one for the teeth." Kara said as she opened her mouth. Seeing this, Ember just sighed angrily before putting the turkey leg in the Kryptonian girl's mouth.

"Thanks crazy." Kara said before leaving.

"Ugh. Do you think you're the only one hungry here? I haven't eaten a decent meal in ages, all these princesses are always the same. Bland, disgusting, no flavor at all." Ember said as she held her head.

"I'd give anything for a simple, old-fashioned, delicious, authentic." Ember stopped talking when she smelled something. It was a scent she thought she would never find again.

"Impossible. I can't believe it, after all these years. A real princess!!" Ember said as she looked at Zatanna in the distance. The magical girl wore a costume that made her look like a real princess.

"Hello, my dear subjects. You can take photos if you want, remember. Tag, Princess Zee. Of course, it would be better if two pretty princesses were in that photo." Zatanna said annoyed looking at Diana. The Amazon warrior wore clothes very similar to Queen Hippolyta.

"What's wrong with my costume? I'm dressed like a princess as they told me." Diana said somewhat confused.

"That's not a princess dress. This is a real princess dress." Zatanna said with a smile as she posed.

"Not really. Princess is a title that we Amazons uphold on the battlefield, you are born with that title and it is passed from generation to generation. The dress doesn't matter." Diana said seriously. But that only annoyed Zatanna.

"Excuse me? The dress is what matters, how can you be a princess if you can't be beautiful?" Zatanna asked with annoyance.

"A princess must demonstrate leadership and diplomacy." Diana said seriously.

"And what about the fun?" Zatanna asked as she looked closely at Diana.

"Who said ruling is fun?" Diana asked seriously. The two girls looked into each other's eyes, lightning could be seen coming out of the girls' eyes.

"Zee, Diana. Good to see you've arrived, um. Where's Benja?" Barbara asked when she noticed I wasn't there but that would only make the girls nervous.

"It's complicated. Umm, I'd better show you guys." Zatanna said as she texted me.

The girls saw a shadow standing in the doorway. The shadow slowly walked towards the girls revealing a samurai armor, the armor was black with golden details, on the helmet two black horns were seen while the tips ended in a blood tone, on the waist a sword was seen inside a white cover, the mask was red and the design was intimidating.

"Hey nerd, you got the wrong fair." Kara said in a mocking tone but only received an elbow hit from Zatanna.

"Kara, this is Benja." Said the magical girl causing everyone to be surprised except Diana.

"Benja? Why are you dressed as a samurai? We thought you were going to dress up as a knight." Barbara said in surprise.

"Believe me. At first I wanted to dress up as a knight, so I went looking for a costume but I didn't find any. I only found this samurai outfit, so I asked zatanna to come to my house and she will use her magic to transform the costume into a knight armor. But, something happened." I said nervously as I tell what happened.

Flashback

"Well, maybe it's not my gentleman suit. But I have to admit I like it." I said while now wearing the samurai costume.

"Well, Zatanna will be a while. I think I can do some reading." I said smiling while taking a elemental magic book.

I started looking through the pages to find something interesting however at that moment I saw a page that caught my attention.

"Resistance and toughness. In the name of nature, I ask you to protect me." When I finished reading, my eyes glowed a shade of amber and ice blue, I felt the suit suddenly feel heavier and as I looked, I saw a magical aura covering the suit. It was no longer a simple costume, now it was a real armor.

"But, how is it possible!?" I yelled in surprise as he touched the armor. It was solid metal. Wasting no time, I quickly grabbed the book and began to review.

"For years. Mages who could control earth were well known for having formidable leadership as well as great power, it was said that if an earth mage could control fire they would have the ability to transform the most brittle material into a very resistant steel, it was said that the steel was so resistant that no spell could destroy the armor." When I finished reading I couldn't help but be surprised before continuing.

End of Flashback.

"At the end the book says that the spell will last until sunset. I tried to send a message but the gloves won't let me, besides. I can't take off this armor." I said embarrassed while the girls were very surprised.

"Yes, zatanna and I tried to take off Benja's armor but no matter what we did there was nothing we could do, I tried to call Tatsu to help us but she is busy with her studies." Diana said as she looked at the rest of the team.

"I'm so sorry girls, I think I should go home." I said looking at my team. Maybe if I called Giovanni he could help me.

"Oh my sweet and pretty assistant, you don't have to be embarrassed about that armor. Let's have some fun." Zatanna said with a smile as she hugged my arm making me blush a little.

"Zatanna's right, Benja. Don't let that armor keep you from having fun, come on." Diana said with a smile as we all walked but Zatanna had a smile as she looked back at me.

"Today is going to be a great day. I know, this is my day." Zatanna thought as her imagination began to appear in her mind a moment that she expected.

Zatanna's Imagination.

Zatanna and I were now looking at the sunset as we were both holding hands, the magical girl had her head on my shoulder as she had a huge smile on her face.

"It's a beautiful sunset, isn't it, darling?" I asked looking at Zatanna with a smile.

"That's right Benja, and it's more beautiful knowing that you're by my side now." Zatanna said with a smile as she looked at me.

"Oh zatanna, that's so cute. Although, this sunset doesn't compare to those beautiful eyes of yours." I said smiling.

We both looked at each other with a smile as we both leaned in for a kiss.

Zatanna had a goofy grin as well as a huge blush on her cheeks.

"Yes, today will be my day. Benja will be mine alone." Zatanna thought with a smile.

"Benja. I didn't have time to ask you this, but do you like my princess outfit?" Diana asked with embarrassment.

"Yes, it's very cute and amazing." I said smiling making Diana blush more.

"And me?." Karen asked nervously however she quickly covered her mouth. She didn't expect to say it out loud.

"To be honest. I think you look very adorable." I said something blushing. Karen hearing that felt her heart beat rapidly as her face turned red.

"And what do you think of me and Jessica?" Barbara asked curiously.

"Well Barbara, you look a lot like the bards from medieval times, you even have their instrument. And Jessica, I must admit you look great." I said smiling making both girls smile. Zatanna, on the other hand, watched this with a throbbing vein and a somewhat forced smile.

"I'm so sorry girls, I love you so much and you are my best friends. But today I have a lot of plans for Benja and no one will ruin it." Zatanna said with determination but no one noticed that Ember was looking at everything from afar with a smile.

As we walked, I could see that Diana was very disappointed. Although everything looked like the middle ages, there were things that made everything different. A WiFi access point, ATMs, coffee shops. Everything could have the appearance of medieval times, but it was not the same as that time.

"Ugh, never in my 300 years have I seen a prisoner eat French fries. Everything here is fake except the turkey legs which look delicious." Diana said with some annoyance as the Amazon warrior watched Kara eat the turkey legs.

"Come on Diana, maybe we can find something fun." I said smiling as I looked for what we could do.

"Don't bother, Benja. You're talking to the princess of boredom." Zatanna said as she looked at Diana.

The girls and I arrived at a blacksmith shop, Diana and I saw the swords and multiple weapons that were there. Spears, swords, crossbows, medieval mallets. However, the Amazon warrior seemed very serious looking at the weapons.

"Hey Diana, look. Doesn't this look authentic to you?" Barbara asked with a smile as she picked up one of the medieval mallets. However the weight would make the redhead fall to the ground.

"This is unprofessional work. The edge is very thin, doesn't appear to be solidly made, and the hilt is loose." Diana said seriously as she picked up a sword.

"Well miss, if you don't like these weapons. Why don't you make your own?" The blacksmith asked as he moved to let Diana in.

"Alright. Come on Benja, I'll show you how it's done." Diana said as she took my hand and the two of us entered the blacksmith shop while the blacksmith looked at everything seriously.

"First you have to heat the steel so it can take shape." Diana said as she put some steel into a forge.

"Benja, look for parts to make our hilt." The Amazon warrior said while I was looking for the pieces.

"Once the steel is at the correct temperature, you have to start hammering as quickly as possible or the steel will harden again." Diana said as she pulled the steel out of the forge. I quickly grabbed a hammer and when the Amazon warrior placed the steel on the anvil I began to hammer.

Everyone saw how Diana and I were working in sync, it was like watching a teacher and his apprentice creating their first weapon. The blacksmith looked somewhat surprised as the Amazon warrior and I finished the sword.

"Benja, what can you tell me about the sword?" Diana asked with a smile.

"It has a good weight to it, it's not too heavy. The edge is very good, and the grip is solid." I said as he looked at the gun. At that moment Diana and I heard laughter and turned to see the blacksmith.

"Very good job guys. I must admit, you two have blacksmiths' wood in your blood." The man said with a smile.

"Thank you very much sir, but I couldn't have done this alone without Diana." I said something embarrassed while the Amazon warrior smiled with some embarrassment.

"Let me try that sword." The blacksmith said as he took our sword and started swinging it. Ember was looking at Zatanna with a smile but before she could do anything, the blacksmith mistakenly cut a rope causing part of the tent to fall on Ember.

"Great job. No doubt you two are very good at working as a team." Said the man while Diana and I smiled before continuing to explore the fair but Zatanna was a little upset.

We were all now in a show at the suggestion of zatanna, a man was seen while on his arm there was a falcon but the animal was covered by a small blanket.

"And now, I'll remove his hood to signal that the hunt is on." Said the man but when he removed the hood we all saw that the falcon was sound asleep making everyone laugh.

"How outrageous. This is unacceptable." Diana said seriously.

"Diana, who had not taught Benja as the Amazons can give them orders to poultry?" Karen asked curiously.

"It's true, I remember that Benja and I talk about this as well as our training plans every night." Diana said while she looked at me.

"Why do not you try Benja?" Kara asked as she was still eating.

At that time I thought if it would be a good idea or not. However, it was very curious after all, Diana had told me how I should do it.

"Well, I can try." I said with a shy smile.

"That's the attitude Benja, come on." Diana said as she led me to the stage however we both didn't see that Zatanna looked upset.

"Remember Benja. If you want the falcon to obey you, you must show leadership. I know it may not be your thing, but I know you can do it." Diana said with a smile. while I just nodded with some nerves.

When we arrived I looked at Diana, the Amazon warrior showed a smile and nodded in approval. I just take a deep breath before getting serious and firm.

"Hawk. Here, now!" I yelled seriously. The falcon upon hearing that opened his eyes and flew to my arm surprised everyone.

"Majestic hunting bird, spread your wings and look for a worthy prey. The hunt has begun!" I yelled before letting the falcon go on my orders.

"That's the spirit, Benja. I'm proud of you." Diana said with a smile making me blush as everyone clapped.

Ember was under the stands, she was ready to catch Zatanna but suddenly she heard the sound of a hawk and when looking up she only paled when she saw the hawk in the sky, when the bird looked at Ember she quickly attacked making the girl ran away.

"My falcon." Was all the boy said before he started crying making me nervous.

"I'm so sorry, don't worry. I'll call her right now." I said nervously before whistling loudly. The hawk was pecking at Ember but when it heard my hiss it quickly left the girl and quickly returned to my arm.

"Sorry, I just wanted to help." I said embarrassed as I hand the falcon back.

"Congratulations Diana, thanks to your teachings you ruined the show and made Benja embarrassed." Zatanna said with annoyance as I walked back to where the rest of the team was.

"I wasn't embarrassing Benja. I was just showing him how to be a leader and demonstrate leadership by giving an order." Diana said looking at the magical girl.

Upon hearing that, Zatanna got very angry but relaxed as she thought that everything would be fine, although she was surprised to see how the falcon obeyed me. She would have to be patient, after all. The day did not end.

The girls and I were now in the main event. Everyone was excited to see two knights jousting.

"Finally, the main event." Zatanna said with a smile but then she saw a mud stain on her dress. Before arriving here, we had to cross a mud puddle where some people were playing. But unfortunately some of that mud fell on the girl's dress.

"Ugh, not on my special day." Zatanna said with a smile before looking around. The magical girl would unthinkingly use her magic to make the stain disappear. However, Karen noted this with surprise.

"Zee, you know you can't use your magic in public." Karen whispered nervously hoping no one had seen it.

"I'm sorry Karen, but I can't let something this gross ruin my day." Zatanna said with some seriousness.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for. Our best knights are about to choose the hand of a princess to fight for." The host said with a smile.

They all saw how the knights approached and offered their flowers to Zatanna, the magical girl was surprised but she just laughed before taking my arm.

"I'm so sorry guys, but I already belong to a prince." Zatanna said making me turn red. However Diana looked at this with a raised eyebrow as did Kara. But then we hear the laughter of the two boys.

"Please my princess. No need to hide your charming beauty behind that idiot in strange clothes, please accept my flower." Said one of the gentlemen but that annoyed my team a lot.

"This had better not be a challenge. For your information, he alone can easily defeat the two of you in a duel." Diana said seriously.

"Hahaha, that's so funny beautiful lady." Said the knight but he and his companion saw that I got up and would take the hilt of my sword.

"If it's a challenge you're looking for. Then you found it, me. I challenge you to a duel!!" I yelled while pointing my sword at the two causing everyone to start clapping.

"What do I see? Ladies and gentlemen, it seems that a samurai is about to challenge our best knights in a duel for the hand of that princess." The host said as everyone watched as the gentlemen and I walked until we were in front of everyone.

"Ready to lose, samurai?" One of the knights asked as the two took their swords.

"Arrogance and your pride will be what you two will lose. Don't take this as a game and take this seriously." I said seriously as I took my sword before drawing a line on the ground. That made Diana show a smile.

"It seems that Benja is going to take this game very seriously. I would recognize that way of marking that line, when Benja, Tatsu and I train we always see how she draws a line to mark her territory, I think Benja copied the same form of combat from Tatsu." Diana said with a smile causing everyone to be surprised.

'Shit, I must remember that this sword is capable of cutting through his steel. I need another weapon.' I said in my mind with concern before seeing a spear nearby.

One of the knights would start with a direct attack but I quickly dodged it with ease before grabbing the nearby spear. I quickly turned around to intercept his partner's attack before spinning around and hitting the knight knocking him down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it seems our knights face a formidable opponent. Who will take the glory? Who will take the victory? But above all, who will win the hand of the princess they are fighting for?" The host asked as everyone got excited.

The two knights would try to attack together but I would simply dodge the attacks before giving them a leg sweep using the spear, one of them would throw mud in my face and try to take advantage of my carelessness but I quickly parried his sword with a clap.

The other knight would quickly try to attack but I slipped on the ground causing him to fall to the ground. I quickly got up before giving a direct hit with the spear to his partner, the other knight was going to get up but he saw the edge of my weapon in front of him.

"It's over. I win." I said seriously causing everyone to start clapping.

"Dear people, I never thought I would see this. Now, our champion will take a flower and give it to the princess he fought for his hand." said the amphitheater while I searched everywhere until I found a rose, seeing the flower I would take it before cutting the thorns with my sword.

Zatanna's eyes were like stars as she blushed, her heart racing as she watched as I approached with the flower before tossing it to her. Everything was in slow motion. The magical girl was ready to receive the flower but suddenly. Someone else won it.

"Oops, I'm so sorry. The reflections." Diana said a little shyly but she noticed that Zatanna was clenching her fists in anger.

"Could you. For once in all this fucking day, not ruin everything with your stupid ways!?" Zatanna yelled furiously.

"Sister, relax. It was just an accident." Diana said very surprised. None of us had seen Zatanna so furious.

"Relax!? I'll tell you what Diana Prince, during this whole day you didn't do anything right. First it was the blacksmith, then the show, and now that my cute assistant gives me a present. You take it away from me!!" Zatanna yelled in anger.

"Maybe you don't know it. But today, I was hoping that Benja and I would have fun but there you are ruining everything!!" The magical girl yelled causing Diana to get upset.

"I'm not ruining anything, besides. I'm just teaching Benja things, teaching him things that could help him a lot. It's what every warrior must learn to survive." Diana said firmly but that caused Zatanna's fury to grow.

"Benja is not a warrior!! He is a normal boy, he is my assistant and today he is supposed to be my boyfriend!!" Zatanna yelled causing everyone to be surprised.

"It was all planned. Benja and I were supposed to be walking around holding hands, enjoying a show together and ending our day in a romantic way. But now it won't come to pass knowing that the nosy princess is here." Zatanna said angrily looking at Diana.

"Now. If you'll excuse me, I need to be alone. Do you want to know more? I give up, no matter how hard I tried to get close to loving Benja you always keep me from doing it." Zatanna said with tears before looking at me.

"I'm so sorry my pretty assistant, but I need to be alone for a moment. You are not to blame for anything." Said the magical girl before leaving leaving us all worried.

"Sister. Wait, I didn't mean to!!" Diana tried to follow Zatanna but the Amazon warrior only saw that the magical girl had already left.

I was completely petrified and shocked at the same time. I couldn't believe any of this, my legs were shaking as I felt my heart crack. They all saw me drop my spear before running off. I needed to find zatanna.

"By Chronos. What will I do now?" Was all Diana wondered with concern. She just wanted to have fun and show what she was capable of. She never imagined that everything would end like this.

Zatanna was crying as she looked for a place to hide. The magical girl would sit on a box while her tears fell on her dress.

"Today. It was supposed to be my day. Today my cute Benja was supposed to know how I feel." Zatanna said before continuing to cry. However, she never noticed a small detail.

Behind her. A human shadow was slowly approaching her, however something began to happen. Slowly that shadow began to change shape. Claws grew, her teeth changed into gigantic fangs, scales appeared on her back, and a pair of horns appeared on her head.

"Benja? Is that you?" Zatanna asked hearing some steps behind but she was very surprised to see someone hiding in the shadows before slowly approaching showing a dragon.

"Hello Princess." The dragon said with a smile making Zatanna freak out.
