It was a date. A simple one at that, and the first one he had ever been on his entire life. This girl was quite the catch, but that was never his priority. He only cared about her personality, not her looks, which certainly shocked the girl who walked beside him.
"You know shino, you haven't tried to catch a look at anything you might like about me." The girl asked as she teasingly put her hand on her breasts, which only made the boy sneer at her feeble attempt.
"Come on yuma, I told you already. I don't care about your size or bust. Now naturally I will say that you are one hell of a woman, but that's not exactly what I see." He turned to her level and smugly rested his hand under her chin, causing a slight blush to appear on her cheeks. "I only see a girl who's bright personality and mysterious background has made Me all the more in awe of you."
She stepped back trying to regain her composure. "I-I can see that quite well actually." "Come on raynere maintain composure. This is for the greater good of the fallen angels!"
As the two continued on around some food stands and a shop where he bought her a necklace, they found themselves taking a nice stroll around the park. It was a quiet and peaceful stroll. It was something Shino had not experienced for quite some time. His troubles at school, his parents dead in a car accident. It wasn't exactly an easy life, but with the help of a certain individual, everything went back to normal.
Yuma stopped in her tracks in front of Shino, who stopped himself from bumping her into the ground. "You know shino I've had loads of fun. And as your best friend, I'm finally glad you took the initiative and asked me out." She said with a smile, which certainly caused an embarrassed look from our protagonist.
"Well I will admit, I was completely nervous because I didn't want to screw up." He scratched the back of his head with uncertainty.
"There is just one thing I would like to ask you before we go on." She then came towards him and whispered something in his ear that made his body quiver with confusion. "Do I have to kill you?"
The boy bounced back with a defensive stance, showing a little uncertainty but remained steadfast. "I don't see why. Would you be a serial killer? Or maybe a…." As he struggled to finish his sentence, the innocent yuma then turned into a cunning, sexy
woman with luscious curved, wearing nothing but black and wings that stretched far and wide.
"Fallen angel, yes. Shino, I don't want to do this, but I've been ordered to kill you for the sake of the fallen angel race." She then formed a light spear and hurled it at him. However, instead of it puncturing him, it bounced off him like a dart gun, like a foam ball. "W-What?!"
Shino then felt very cautious about what to do next, as he really didn't want to murder his best friend over some possible false informational leak about his existence. "Look. Let's talk. I'm sure you don't have to kill me or murder me. As you can already tell I'm sure these light spears won't work." His true form then appeared as well, showing Grey wings instead of black, almost visible and mighty like a high class ranking Devil, and a powerful one at that.
Raynere (Yuma), now frightened by what she now sees, drops down hopelessly as she begins to cry, thinking he will show no mercy towards her. "S-Shino please I'm sorry! I was ordered to do something I didn't want to do!" Shino walked up to her, almost hurt and shaken by her sudden change. "I never wanted to hurt you! You gave me a reason to like you! Please don't do this!"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" he roared as she jumped back in fear. He stepped down to her level. "If that's what you honestly think of me then you're mistaken. I have no reason to kill you. You might have tried to do that but you wouldn't be able to." He then stood up and started to walk away before stopping in his tracks. "Just go. Get out of here." He then continued to walk away while she quickly flew off in terror, with tears running off her face.
As he was about to exit the park, a girl approached him, to his dismay. "Great. Are you here to kill me too?"
"Not exactly. Although I would hope not." She said with a slight chuckle. "I actually have a proposal for you."
"Well Rias, let's go to my house. I'm kind of tired from all this." This certainly took her aback considering he just survived an encounter with an fallen angel.
"O-Of course. It would be rude of me not to do so." She then ran to him and walked with him on the sidewalk.
He held out his hand for her to hold, and even though she found his openness confusing, she felt safe by his presence, and gently held it.
"Are you a devil yourself?" This caused a stare from Shino, who slightly chuckled at that.
"Not necessarily. I'm Death. The Archangel of death. Ever since I was given the power of death, I've known much about the world of devils and angels thanks to Azrael." As they reached his home and entered it, Rias noticed the rifle in his living room and went to inspect it.
"Look I don't want to make it harder for you so please hear me out. I want you to join my peerage." Rias put the rifle down and sat next to him on the couch, letting herself get comfortable. Shino laughed and laid back down.
"So. It's finally time huh?" She looked puzzled by this. "I've been waiting for you to ask me this for a long time. I accept with flying colors."
Rias, overcome with joy, encases him with a hug, with her arms wrapped around him as tight as could be. "Oh this is wonderful! I was completely unsure if you'd even accept my offer considering your loner reputation in class!" Shino sighed and smacked the back of her head, which caught her off guard even though she let it slide this time.
"I'll have you know that you and akeno have never talked to me before in class. It's not my fault I sometimes keep to myself." He remarked with a sigh of dismay. "I assume you're going to see what piece I am?"
Rias summoned her pieces and examined each of them, then began to examine his power level, only to find that she found his power level to be on par with a high ranking Devil. "This is insane. Your power level is incredible. I don't even think you can be anything less than a king!"
"So you want me to be a king alongside you? Sounds like a blast." Rias blushed as Shino gave her a smile that made her heart shine. "Okay so what happens now? Do I just recite like some sort of vow? If I'm a king as well does that mean I have my own opportunity for a peerage as well?"
"That would cover it. But for now you really don't have any experience with such things." Rias said that almost in a pleading tone. "For right now, it would be best to stick with me
so I can teach you the basics!" She then gave him a king piece. "Shino Yukio, will you pledge your loyalty to me, and to forever be in the service of the house of gremory?"
"I accept. The Lord of Death shall give his all for you and do what is necessary for my family." As the vow was finished, a bright light appeared as the piece merged itself with his soul, although instead of red, the piece turned half red and half black, almost like a union. "Well that was certainly unexpected. First yuma tries to kill me, and then I get accepted into the devil society. This must be the new norm for me."
"I don't know exactly why the fallen angels would even attack an Archangel. You don't have anything that would pose a threat." she then came to the realization that it might have not been anything related to a sacred gear, but power. "They were after you because you're the host of the angel of death! That's terrible!" She hugged him once more as he was a bit confused about her sudden worry. "It must be fate for us to become allies. Maybe we were meant to help each other and save one another." Rias didn't let go of the hug, which worried Shino even more, but as he was going to try, the clock rang as 9:30 passed by.
"Rias..it's bedtime. I would understand if you're unable to head home this late, so why don't you stay over? You're welcome to sleep in my room." Shino was too tired to realize the severity of what he had asked of her, but seeing that Rias wasn't budging, he picked her up and carried her to his room, where he gently placed her on the bed, causing her to let go. "Look I'm going to change into some pajamas. I'll get you a t-shirt you can use." He went to the closet and shut the door as he changed, not wanting Rias to be uncomfortable. However, unbeknownst to him, she was beginning to undress herself, and as he opened the door with his clothes on and a shirt for Rias, he fell backwards after catching a glimpse of Rias's naked body.
Covering his eyes, he tried to get back up, only for a pair of hands trying to pry his hands away. "Rias I understand we're servant and master now but we aren't dating!"
"This is fine Shino. We aren't servant and master. Because you're a king, we now share a companionship unlike the rest of my peerage. Think of it as I'm your king and you're my king." As she finally opened his eyes, he was shocked to notice that rias was being super lenient with showing her perfect…..perfect curves to him.
"Damn. I never realized how beautiful she was." He thought to himself as he got onto his bed. "Look Rias. We've known each other for a long time but you barely talk to me, yet here you are revealing yourself to me as if we're lovers. I understand you see me as an equal, but unless you want me as a lover I suggest you save your body for him."
Rias jumped at him and buried her face into his chest. "But that's the point! I am in love with you!" Rias shouted as she looked at him with despair and loneliness. "You've been so kind to everyone around you, never taking advantage of anyone, and worst of all, you made me fall in love. I want you to be my king. That's why I came to invite you into my peerage. To see if my feelings are true to my heart!" With that, she planted her lips onto his, to which he slowly accepted as they passionately found themselves embracing each other before she broke it off. "A-And now it seems I have. I really do love you. The only reason I never talked to you is because I was unsure if I was doing the right thing. Besides…I'm in a forced marriage with someone. You could be my escape to this!"
"Well I am for one, thrilled by this new discovery, because now not only am I hearing the words of glory, I am now saving you from some bastard that might not even love you!" As he tried to speak more, he grew ever more tired and rested his head on his pillow, just as Rias put the shirt on and cuddled against him. "If we are to be lovers, this should be acceptable, but no funny business. I don't think having children is in the budget."
"L-Look i might be ambitious but I'm not stupid!" Her face was all read and she was yelling at him with embarrassment.
