"W-What??!!" Rias exclaimed.
"Oh my~ how bold of you Shino~" Akeno said as she looked at him with envy.
"What did we say about keeping things secret darling?! We can't show our affection in public!" Rias said, shaking her head in embarrassment. Shino, on the other hand, was laughing profusely at his lover's sudden shyness.
"Oh please love, there's no way all of us in this room are considered a danger to our relationship." Shino replied as he walked towards Rias. "Besides, this means you actually get a chance to know me better than you already do."
"Not now, Shino. We have a mission from the higher ups to hunt down a stray devil that's been causing havoc across town." Rias explained as everyone began to prepare for the night mission. "You'll have to show us your powers then, so we can see what I'm working with."
Shino sighed as he then held his hand only for a black void to appear, dumping a gun case for a rifle and a pistol, a street uniform for combat, headphones with protection, and a crate with supposed bullets for all types of enemies. Rias and the others looked at this with disbelief. Akeno on the other hand, look at him with so much vigor you could tell she enjoyed every second of this.
"Y-You can just grab stuff from a void?" Rias exclaimed as Shino began putting on his gear, which included a black chest rig (no need for plates when you're immortal), a black hoodie, a black beanie, and gloves. Then as he was about to get out his guns, Koneko rushed over to him, with Kiba close towards her. "What are these?" She asked curiously, as if she'd never seen a gun case before. Kiba on the other hand, knew exactly what those were.
"It seems our friend here is a child soldier in disguise." Kiba said with a hint of admiration, causing Shino to sigh as he opened the gun case, revealing a chrome black Colt M16A4, complete with reflex sight, vertical grip, laser, and suppressor. This caused Rias to exclaim an emotion of fear and confusion, but Akeno rushed towards the gun, picking it up in admiration. "Oh my! This is a FN Herstal M16A4! Only the United States military has these! How did you get this??!!"
"With the power of Azrael, he gave me the ability to convert my power into solid form, giving me unlimited choices of firearms and weapons." Shino explained as Azrael then spoke in his head.
"YES AND YOU PERSITED THAT YOU USE GUNS INSTEAD OF SWORDS. IT'S VERY CONFUSING THAT YOU OF ALL PEOPLE CONSIDERED THIS AN OPTION."
Shino then grabbed the gun from Akeno and slinged it to his side, thus opening the second case, revealing a suppressed USP Compact chambered in 9mm. Instead of Akeno grabbing it, Koneko grabbed it in awe and curiosity. "Senpai it's as big as my hands!" Then she pulled the
trigger by accident, with the hammer striking the firing pin. However, no sound occurred and no bullet was discharged, as there was no magazine in the weapon.
This spooked the club members, including Koneko, who dropped the gun only for Shino to catch it. "Senpai, I'm so sorry! I had no idea that would happen!" Koneko seemed scared, which was a first for most of the members present.
"Don't worry Koneko, you have nothing to fear. Obviously it would be very stupid of me to leave a loaded magazine in the gun." He then proceeded to comfort her, thus reducing her stress. "You will all have to be careful with these things around. They carry anti devil bullets and all sorts of ammunition. It can kill you if mistreated." Everyone nodded in agreement. "Now…about that mission..?"
Later that day…
Rias and her team finally arrived at an abandoned building where the supposed devil had been located. Shino, with all gear on, did look like a child soldier, but only because he was taking advantage of his abilities. Rias stood next to Shino for most of the journey, while Koneko trailed close behind him. He had given Rias an ear piece to use when communicating with him due to his earphones dampening most of the sounds. "So in short, this devil had apparently killed it's own master, and is now killing others for it's own sick twisted desires." Rias explained as they approached the entrance. "Now in this battle I'll be able to show you just how the chess pieces work, so I would advise you to just stay this one out."
As they walked inside the building, Shino used his ability to see in the dark to locate the said devil, and the strange eye expression he was giving while scanning the room startled her.
"What are you doing?! You're creeping me out!" Rias exclaimed as she obviously had no idea what Shino was planning. Suddenly, Shino pointed his weapon quickly towards an empty space engulfed with darkness, and opened fire, spraying several rounds into said space, causing an unknown figure to spring out from the hiding place. The others covered their ears as soon as the first 2 shots occurred, not even realizing it would be that loud, and Shino continued firing at the monster that then retreated towards cover. Rias quickly went to his side as Shino stopped firing, releasing his magazine to check how much was left.
"SHINO WHAT THE HELL?! WARN US THE NEXT TIME YOU FIRE THAT THING. YOU COULD'VE DAMAGED OUR HEARING!" She exclaimed as Shino then turned to Rias, battle focused and unfazed by the scream as he loaded the magazine back into the receiver.
"Keep your voice down, love. I spotted our little cretin. If you want me to stop then go ahead and show me what you can do. If anything happens I'll take care of it." He said as the devil then showed itself once more.
"What is that thing?!" She asked as her body was shown to be half human, half beast. It looked hungry, as if her lustful eyes hadn't given it away.
"Vizer! You killed your master, and forfeited your right to live! By the power of the gremory family, we will incinerate you whole!" Rias proclaimed as Shino was rather taken aback by her proud choice of words.
"It's not my fault my master held me back! I wished to gain even more power! And if it had to be through consuming humans blood then so be it!" She declared as she rushed forward towards the team, with everyone moving out of the way except for Shino, who used the buttstock of his rifle to smash her head in, sending her back a foot.
As the woman hybrid tried to recover, Shino walked over to Rias, who was preparing her pieces to attack. "If you want to show me how this stuff works please do. I'd love to see this thing destroyed." He then unloaded his magazine and pulled the bolt catch back twice. Once to remove a bullet, and another time to make sure it was completely empty. Rias, now completely in shock of Shinos fearlessness towards the battlefield, gave the order to attack.
"Alright Akeno. Lead the way!" Rias ordered as Akeno, Kiba, and Koneko charged at Vizer, while Shino slinged his rifle and merely observed the battle.
Akeno first led the attack, sending a lightning strike down upon her, causing excruciating damage, and for Akeno to become more aroused by the second.
"Jesus she's really into punishment. Must be a masochist or something." Shino thought to himself. "Better not let Akeno get anywhere near my guns Azrael."
"AGREED PARTNER." Azrael responded with a more unsure tone.
Koneko was next, as she let out a barrage of punches that sent the creature flying, much to Shinos surprise. Who knew the girl had that much strength. Then, there was Kiba. Shino had known Kiba had some sort of experience with swords like Kendo, but he had no idea his power was the ability to create demon swords. It was kind of like his own power, except it was limited to swords. Kiba unleashed a flurry of attacks with his specially created swords, finally bringing Vizer to her knees. Rias and the others followed towards the immobilized devil, with Shino following silently behind, loading his rifle once more just to be safe.
Vizer looked furiously at the group. "HOW DARE YOU?! ISN'T IT WITHIN OUR RIGHTS AS DEVILS TO CAUSE CHAOS AMONG THE HUMANS?! THOSE WRETCHED CREATURES DESERVED EVERYTHING! THOSE BRATS AT THE PARK DESERVED THEIR BLOOD TO BE SUCKED OUT OF THEIR VEINS!" Rias and the others flinched at the sight of their enemy screaming nonsense, while Shino's eyes suddenly turned black, unbeknownst to them.
"Any last words?" Rias asked as she headed her magic spell of destruction. The devil only screamed in rage and frustration.
"Then in the name of the House of Gremory, Be-" As Rias would launch her spell, they all turned to their sides as a familiar sound came from Shino, causing a look of curiosity to change into fear.
"RATATATATATATATA!" The Rifle Let out a spray of bullets as Vizers now lifeless body (which had been killed after the first 3 bullets), continued to shake and move violently as Shino unloaded an entire magazine into her now soulless body. Rias and the others covered their ears in terror, not even anticipating such an act. As the smoke cleared and the sounds of gunfire slowly floating away into the air, the stray devils' once evil and vibrant body now desecrated into a bullet filled sandbag. Blood oozed from the woman's body as her ashes and remaining flesh slowly incinerated away as the anti devil bullets did their job. Shino then turned to his allies, who were filled with shock and horror. Akeno, one turned on by people's suffering, was the most frightened, as she wasn't even sure she was looking at the right person. Koneko hid behind Kiba, who tried to avoid the sight in front of him. Rias, who finally tried to speak, stared into his eyes, which were as black as the nights sky.
"SHINO HOW COULD YOU?! YOU PRACTICALLY MUTILATED HER!" Rias shouted as she looked incredibly unsure of her surroundings. Was he even really there? That wasn't the Shino she knew. He wouldn't do something so….vile.
"IT WAS ME CHILD." Azraels voice echoed through the lips of his host's body. "I TOOK OVER BECAUSE THIS VILE WHORE DESERVES EVERY OUNCE OF PAIN SHE FELT. WHAT KIND OF PERSON GOATS ABOUT KILLING CHILDREN? ME AND MY HOST MIGHT BE REBORN DEVILS, BUT EVEN WE KNOW THAT OUR TRUE MORALS RELY WITHIN THE SCRIPTURE OF MY FATHER." Azrael was quoting his father, and his tone shook Rias, as she stepped back a little, unsure of what to do next.
As Azrael gave control back to Shino, his eyes turned back to the normal brown. Shino, seeing the blood on his uniform, sighed as he unloaded the magazine and snapped his fingers, causing all the armor and weapons to disappear. "Looks like we'll have to discuss this huh?" He said, unsure of how to ease her fright. However by now they had all calmed down, with Kiba doing his best to sooth the young girl behind him. Akeno however, sighed and stared at the second king.
"Rias. Maybe I should walk the others home and you two try to get some rest. You look like you need it." Akeno recommended as Rias nodded and ran to the blood stained warrior, who gave her an apologetic look.
"It's okay, we'll talk about it later." Rias said assuringly as a teleportation circle opened up beneath them. "Besides, that means I need to scrub you down~" This comment gave a blush to the child soldier, and the two disappeared from sight. The rest of the club went home safe and
sound. However, they still had thoughts of how the brutality of Azrael's methods enveloped in their minds. Just how far would he go?
