Lots of things have changed this year.
Maya's grades increased and her social circle has grown significantly, and even though her tolerance to alcohol has gone up and her withdrawals are becoming worse by the day, she still feels happy about life and has not seen any downsides to her lifestyle so far, not even another blackout. On order to afford more booze, she has taken the job of delivering bottles that both Vera and Mymy tell her to deliver all over town, and she uses the money that she earns to keep up her habit.
Mymy, meanwhile, has benefited immensely from her business. She ramped up production so much that she's had to transfer her production equipment to Vera's house, which is not far from her school, and she has amassed a wealth of over €9000. Her gang has expanded their operations to not only the entire Netherlands, but also Belgium, Germany, France, Britain, the ABC Islands, and Venezuela. She has developed a very close bond with Cleo, who, in turn, together with her parents, have managed to secure their finances and live comfortably. All in all, the gang has only gone up this year.
As for Maya's parents and Coco, however, neither of them have no clue of what is going on. They have no idea about Maya's drinking, nor about Mymy's wealth, nor that she's an alcohol producer and international trafficker. They still see her as a relatively normal yet a bit kooky teenage girl, and their biggest worry at the moment are the sisters' final grades, which are due to come out three days later, on Friday.
Today, the sisters have returned home like normal, when, as they were having lunch, their mother suddenly said:
"Hey, kids, we have some good news!"
"Good news?", Coco asked. "What could it be?"
"Me and your father have agreed on a vacation plan for this year, and this one is definitely special!", Mrs. Schoppenboer replied.
"Special?", Mymy asked. "In what way?"
"We're going on a road trip to another country!", Mr. Schoppenboer replied.
"Oh, wow!", Coco said. "But, what country will we go to?"
"Well...", Mrs. Schoppenboer began. "We'll drive South in an RV, crossing Belgium, France and Spain, arriving at...?"
"Portugal!", Coco replied.
"Exactly, my dear!", Mrs. Schoppenboer said. "We're going all the way down to Portimão for a nice beach vacation!"
"Woah, that sounds awesome!", Maya said in excitement. "I cannot wait!"
"You won't have to wait for long! We've already decided to get our road trip started on the 15th. I suggest already getting ready!"
"Oh, we will definitely get ready in no time!", Mymy said. "This will be a blast!"
Then, after lunch, the sisters were given each their own luggage. While the other sisters were settled on what to put in their bags, Maya still didn't know how to properly organize it. More specifically: she had to plan a way to sneak her bottles of alcohol in there in a way that didn't make the bottles collide with each other and make noise. It was a hard task to do, as she had lots of bottles and had to sneak a good portion of them so she didn't risk running out and potentially dying of withdrawal. So she pulled up her phone and began listing all the things she could do.
"Well, since I'm obviously bringing clothes with me, I should probably use them to isolate the bottles...", Maya thought as she typed her options out. "And I could also use water bottles to sneak vodka in the RV, so there's that... and what else...? Ah! I could definitely use some paper too! Oh, and I also have those Stanley bottles somewhere! Good thing those can also keep my beverages cold!"
And that was enough options for Maya. With all of these, she could sneak more than enough booze to her trip and not worry for a second about getting sick!
Mymy, meanwhile, suddenly remembered that she had another batch being made at Vera's place, so she pulled up her phone and texted:
"Hey, teacher! I'll go on a vacation next week and I probably won't return for the whole summer. I suggest buying empty bottles already so I can store my next batch."
Later, Vera responded, saying:
"Alright, just later tell me when you're about to return."
"No worries!", Mymy replied.
She then opened up her chat with Cleo and said:
"Hey, Cleo, I'll be going on a vacation next week, so if you need to get my next batch, you gotta do it quick."
"No worries!", Cleo replied shortly later. "Have fun on your trip!"
Mymy then packed some of her stuff up and began researching random history facts about Portugal. She became very salty when she found out about their war against the Netherlands, and how they "stole" their colony in the Northeast of Brazil from them.
"You know what, Portugal?", Mymy thought. "You better get ready for what I have prepared for you!"
She then got her biggest Dutch flag as well as a full military uniform and put it in her bag. She was ready to show the Portuguese that the Dutch are alive and kicking, and will make sure that they know it!
