It's Thursday.
Early in the morning, Mymy receives a bunch of text messages. They're from Vera. They say:
"Hello, Mymy. Your next batch is ready. I faked sick leave so I have time to bottle it all up. Whenever you can, come over to my place. Ah, and don't forget to get Cleo to come by as well."
"No probs, teacher!", Mymy replied.
Mymy then began to think about a good time to get over there. This wasn't going to be a very busy day, so she decided that 3 PM was an appropriate enough time. She then pulled her phone back up and began to text Cleo.
"Hey, Cleo!", She said. "My next batch is ready. I'll come pick you up in the afternoon."
"Alrighty!", Cleo replied.
Then, at 2:20 PM, Mymy cycled to Cleo's place and gave her a call.
"Hello?", Cleo said after picking up the call.
"Hey, it's me!", Mymy replied. "I'm in front of your house right now!"
"Alrighty, I'm coming!"
She then went up to Mymy and sat on the backseat of her bicycle.
"Ayo, Mymy!", Cleo said. "Let's do this!"
Then, they went over to Vera's house, jumped off the bicycle, and rang her doorbell.
"Oh, hello, girls.", Vera said as she opened her door. "You've arrived just in time. Come in."
They then went in and followed Vera to the basement. She opened the door, revealing Mymy's new batch. Cleo counted all the bottles.
"Wow, sixty bottles!", Cleo said, impressed. "Double your usual, and, like, three times more than our other manufacturers!"
"Yeah, I've definitely surpassed myself this time!", Mymy proudly said. "And, think about it, you'll be selling all of THIS in little to no time! Demand is through the roof right now!"
"And to think just half an year ago I almost bankrupted myself buying that guitar for Maya... we're about to become the Medellín Cartel of the Netherlands real soon!"
"Indeed, Cleo! Anyway, I'm selling those for €10 each."
"Deal!"
Cleo then gave Mymy €600.
"Thank you!", Mymy said. "But, wait, how are you going to transport all of this? I'm pretty sure your parents' car doesn't have room for this many bottles."
"I can help with that.", Vera said.
"Oh, thanks!", Cleo said. "Anyway, I'll get my parents here, so excuse me for a sec..."
She then gave a call to her father. Mymy observed as Cleo talked in her native language. She has never heard it before, and it intrigued her.
"Alright, they're coming in about ten minutes.", Cleo said after hanging up the phone.
"Excellent.", Mymy replied. "By the way, what language were you speaking during the call? I never heard it before."
"Ah, it's Papiamento, the native language of the ABC Islands.", Cleo replied.
Mymy wheezed.
"What's funny?", Cleo asked.
"Wait...", Mymy said while laughing. "You people really speak a language called PAPA-MENTOS?"
Mymy then broke down in laughter.
"Haha, very funny!", Cleo said, very annoyed. "At least I'm not in denial about my roots!"
Mymy quickly went from laughing to being angry.
"You better not start with this crap again!", Mymy shouted.
"Mymy, it doesn't matter how many times you deny it, you're Japanese!", Cleo shouted back.
"For the last time, Cleo, I have no relation with that land full of degenerate cartoons and you know it!"
"ENOUGH FROM YOU TWO!", Vera yelled. "None of your stupid arguments in my house!"
"Whatever, just...", Mymy was about to say before being interrupted by honking noises.
"Oh, I think they're here.", Cleo said.
They all then went to the front door, and, sure enough, Cleo's parents were standing right there.
"Good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Venetiaan.", Vera said while shaking their hands.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Persijn.", Mr. Venetiaan replied. "May you show us the products?"
"It'll be my pleasure, come in.", Vera said as she guided everyone to the shed.
"Holy Jesus!", Mr. Venetiaan said when she saw the amount of bottles in there. "How many bottles do we have here?"
"Sixty.", Vera replied.
"In one batch?", He asked in shock. "Do we have another manufacturer that I don't know about?"
"Nope, it's all my work!", Mymy proudly replied.
"That's insanely impressive, Mymy!", He said. "You're a very efficient manufacturer!"
"Well, thank you!", Mymy replied.
"Also, do you mind if I help you transport all the products?", Vera asked to Mr. Venetiaan.
"Not at all, thanks!", He replied.
"Alright, let's get going, then."
The five of them then transported all the bottles to Vera's and Cleo's parents' cars. It was hard work, but it definitely paid off.
"Well, it's time for me to go now!", Mymy said to everyone else as she got on her bike.
"Bye, Mymy!", Cleo said. "Don't forget to tell us when you come back from your vacation!"
"Alrighty, bye!", Mymy said as she rode off.
At home, Mymy looked at the cash that she had just earned. €600... not long ago, this amount of money would've been unimaginable to her. And now, she just earned it after selling a single batch of her products. It felt so good to her. She imagined how much richer she could get. It'll put everyone else she knows to shame! She's definitely looking forward to making an even bigger batch when she's back from her trip!
