Eddie was nervous as she looked at herself in the long mirror inside Saint Michael's church. Her hands were shaking. Linda put a hand on Eddie's shoulder.

"Relax Eddie. Everything is going to be just fine. You look absolutely beautiful. Your dress is going to take Jamie's breath away."

Eddie nodded and watched in the mirror as Erin fixed her veil on her head.

"You look absolutely stunning Eddie. My baby brother is so lucky to be marrying such a beautiful and strong woman."

Eddie tried to hide a small blush.

"You really think he's going to like my dress?"

Erin nodded her head and pulled the veil down over Eddie's face, covering it.

"He's going to love you in the dress."

Eddie took another breathe and let it out slowly.

"I hope so."

Meanwhile in the next room, Jamie was fixing his tie for the fourth time when Danny looked at him with slight annoyance.

"Kid, quit fiddling with your tie. It's fine. So, is she pregnant?"

Jamie looked at Danny in the reflection of the mirror in front of him.

"What? No. Eddie is not pregnant."

Danny gave him an unimpressed look.

"Ok. But it seems like the two of you are rushing into this marriage. The two of you only hooked up 8 months ago."

Jamie turned on his heel towards Danny and fixed the cuff links on his tux over coat. His phone began to buzz in his pocket, making him sigh. He knew with certainty who it was. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he answered.

"Mara. I'm not on the service for two weeks. It's my wedding day. Have the Anesthesiologist come down at give her the epidural. Yes. Doctor Lancaster is filling in on all my patients until I come back. You know that. 10 centimeters. Ok, no time for an epidural. Is the baby's head engaged? Ok. Put her in McRobert's then tell her to push. Anything else Mara? Ok, I'll see you in two weeks."

Jamie hung up and gave frustrated sigh. Shaking his head, he looked at Danny.

"Mara is my work wife."

Danny smirked.

"You mean the hot brunette with green eyes?"

Jamie narrowed his eyes at Danny.

"You're married."

Danny nodded.

"I know that Golden Boy. Doesn't mean I can't look."

Sighing, Jame turned his phone off and put it back in his pocket.

"My phone is off. I don't want anyone bothering me for two weeks."

Jamie fixed his tie one last time and nodded, taking a deep breath and nodding. Danny clapped a hand on his little brother's back.

"Come on kid. Enjoy this moment. This'll be the last time you are a single man. In about 5 more minutes, you'll walk up to the altar, about to be married."

Nodding, Jamie exited the room with Danny, finding Frank and Henry in the hallway. Frank smiled at Jamie.

"I'm proud of you son. I really am. I'm going to get your lovely wife-to-be so I can walk her down the aisle."

Jamie nodded and made his way out into the main church and up to the front. Frank knocked on the door to the room Eddie used for a dressing room. He waited for his response. He heard a muffled answer.

"Come in."

Smiling, Frank opened up the door.

"You look beautiful sweetheart. That dress looks as beautiful on you as it did the day my wife Mary and I were married. She would be proud to know that such a brave, strong and sure woman was wearing it."

Eddie sniffled and held her tears back.

"Thanks dad. I don't want my mascara to run. You know for the last week I've been having this recurring nightmare where I'm walking down the aisle and I trip and face plant in the middle and everyone is just laughing at me."

Frank gave Eddie a sympathetic look.

"I've got your six Eddie. We'll go out there together."

Eddie took a deep breath and nodded.

"I'm ready."

Frank took her by the arm and led her out to the main part of the church and the wedding march began to play. She locked eyes with Jamie behind her veil and she saw that he was trying to breathe because he looked as if her were about to pass out. Everyone in the pews were smiling at Eddie and nodding. She smiled nervously as her and Frank got closer to the front of the church where Jamie, Danny, Henry and the priest were at.

Taking another deep breath, she let it out slowly. Frank held her hand up and Jamie took it in his. Both were now facing each other and Jamie pushed Eddie's veil back as the priest began to speak.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Jameson Henry Reagan and Edit Marie Janko. Jameson do you take Edit to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold in sickness and in health til death do you part?"

Jamie nodded and answered.

"I do."

Eddie smiled. She really just wanted to kiss Jamie already. But she waited with almost bated breath. The priest turned to Eddie and repeated what he'd just told Jamie.

"...and do you Edit Marie Janko take Jameson Henry Reagan to be lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health for as long as you shall live till death do you part?"

Eddie nodded holding back tears.

"I do."

The priest nodded and added one more thing.

"Do the two of you have vows?"

The couple nodded and Eddie went first.

"I will always have your back."

Jamie went next and gave a proud smile.

"If you fall behind I'll wait up."

Eddie grinned and squeezed his hand.

"And pay you respect every day we have."

Jamie's smile grew more.

"I'll be your scout, your night watchman, your cavalry."

Eddie felt tears coming to her eyes as she recited her next vow.

"Your medic, your chaplain in our army of two."

Jamie kissed Eddie's knuckles and beamed.

"No retreat, no surrender."

Holding back her tears she repeated Jamie's words.

"No retreat, no surrender."

Jamie squeezed her hand one more time.

"You can count on me."

Eddie smiled through her tears.

"And you can count on me."

The priest smiled at the couple and ended his speech.

"Then by the power vested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Jamie pulled Eddie in for a kiss and let it linger. Pulling apart, they touched foreheads and smiled at one another, speaking at the same time.

"I love you."

The reception lasted long into the night filled with lots of good food and everyone enjoying themselves. Jamie and Eddie had let the world around them melt away. It felt like they were the only two in the world right now. As Jamie held Eddie in his arms and danced slowly, he whispered in her ear.

"This is the beginning of a long journey full of love, life, adventure and hopefully many kids down the road… I love you Mrs. Reagan."

Eddie buried her face in Jamie's neck and whispered to him.

"Today has been wonderful. I hope we have many more days like this. I love you, Jamie."
