"Eddie I know you want to come and meet me every day after I get off, but I don't feel good about you driving anymore. At least until after the baby comes."

Eddie pursed her lips and put her hands on her hips.

"Jameson Henry Reagan, I am perfectly capable of driving. I don't need your approval."

Jamie nodded his head but placed a hand on her belly.

"I know that. But she doesn't understand that there are dangerous people out there."

Eddie shot Jamie a look and kept her hands on her hips.

"So, you don't think I'm capable?"

Jamie sighed and tried to reason with her.

"I do. But if you get into an accident because some asshole plows through a red light and hits you?"

Eddie placed one of her hands over Jamie's.

"Daddy didn't mean to use a bad word baby girl. Don't listen."

Jamie sighed and pulled Eddie closer to him leaving his left hand on her belly.

"I don't want to argue. Let's go home babe. I've had a very long day. Good, but long."

The couple giggled when they both felt a thump under both of their hands.

"This baby girl agrees that we should both be happy and not argue."

Jamie pulled her into a kiss for a moment then pulled away when he felt more thumps under his hand.

"Someone is very active in there tonight."

Eddie smiled and took his right hand.

"She's always this active when she's around her daddy."

Jamie walked hand in hand out of the hospital and towards the garage.

"I'm looking forward to spending some time with my girls when we get home. Not long now before she decides to make her appearance into the world. Want a foot massage when we get there?"

Eddie snuggled closer to Jamie as they reached the car.

"You know that sounds wonderf…"

Suddenly she was cut off mid-sentence when something hard struck the back of her head. Trying to regain her bearings and reach for her gun strapped to the inside of her left ankle. But before she could get it out of the holster, she felt a cloth over her mouth and some strange smell hit her nose. She saw nothing after that.

Jamie woke to blurry vision at first. He blinked a few times to clear his vision and found it becoming easier to make out shapes. Looking around, he found that he was in a large warehouse. He tried to move, but found his arms and hands were roughly pulled behind him and tired around a large round support beam. His eyes began to scan the warehouse and he found that Eddie was a few feet away from him lying on her side. Clearing his scratchy throat, he spoke up.

"Eddie… Can you hear me?"

Jamie watched as Eddie began to stir. She became confused and her hand instantly tried to find its way to where her gun was supposed to be on her left ankle.

"Where's… Where's my gun?"

Sighing, Jamie answered her.

"Eddie, I need you to relax honey. I'm right here. We're in a warehouse."

Eddie's eyes grew wide, and she began to fight against her restraints.

"How did we get here? Start looking for exits Jamie."

Jamie was about to respond to her when he saw another unconscious figure about 20 feet from Eddie. His eyes grew wide with fear.

"Erin!"

Why was his sister here with them? Why were they in this warehouse? He suddenly heard voices coming towards them.

"Mack! What did you do!? You kidnap a baby doctor, a police officer and an ADA all named Reagan! You are getting yourself and us into some deep shit. I don't need this. I'm out."

The hair on Jamie's neck began to stand on end as he saw the nameless man pull a gun on the man named 'Mack'. Turning away he heard a loud bang. Looking up at the man as he came towards him, he saw the two other men had now joined him.

"Glad to see your awake. Your father owes me big time."

Jamie furrowed his eyebrows. But before he could answer, he heard Erin's groggy voice next to Eddie.

"Oh my god. Marty Hollinson. I put you away for the next 50 years. How'd you get out?"

The man named Marty gave Erin a toothy smile.

"Now why would I reveal my sources. It would ruin my prison cred I've so carefully built."

Erin gave him an evil glare.

"Mark my words Hollinson, I will put you back behind bars. But this time I will add kidnapping to your list of charges against you."

Meanwhile, Eddie continued to fight against her restraints.

"Marty, bad idea to kidnap a police officer. There are 35,000 out there looking for the three of us. You won't get away with this."

Jamie threw in his two cents.

"Please untie me so I can at least examine my wife and check on my sister. I'm a doctor."

Marty gave a humorless laugh.

"Yeah, I know. You're a baby doctor. I know everything about you Jameson Henry Reagan. You graduated first in your class from medical school at Harvard. You work at Saint Victor's hospital. You work 12 hour shifts sometimes 18 depending on your workload. You usually leave work around 8:15 pm every night. Your wife Eddie arrives to pick you up at 8:10 exactly to wait for you at the admit desk. Every night. Your wife Edit Marie Janko is a police officer with the NYPD. She's been on the job for the last three years. Currently on desk duty because she's pregnant. Loves Thai food. She recently had a scare that resulted in a hospital stay for a couple of hours due to low blood pressure and low blood sugar."

Erin looked at Jamie and tried to move.

"Don't listen to him Jamie. He's trying to get inside your head. It won't work. He could've hacked into the computer system in the hospital to gain access to your files. Dug up Eddie's employment record. I'm sure he has more on me as well. I'm not falling for it."

Jamie's eyes wandered back to Eddie. There was a small trail of blood near her. He then looked back at Marty.

"Marty, what happened to my wife? Did you… Did any of your guys do anything to her?"

Marty gave a humorless laugh and then looked offended.

"What kind of guys do you think we are? Didn't touch her."

The man to the right of Marty came forward with a pocketknife and freed Eddie's hands. She tried to scoot farther from him.

"I'm not going to hurt ya lady. Just going to free ya."

Eddie's hands were now free, and she watched as the man freed Jamie's hands and he made his way over to Eddie whose head was leaning back against the round pillar behind her.

"Stay still babe. I need to examine you."

Jamie continued his conversation and aimed it towards Marty.

"Would you guys mind giving my wife and I some privacy?"

The two men disappeared and came back with some old privacy screens, setting them up around the couple. He heard Marty's voice behind the screens.

"I'm not completely heartless doc. I value privacy like everyone else."

Jamie ignored Marty and looked at Eddie.

"Ok Eddie. I'm going to help you lie back alright? Let me know if anything hurts or is uncomfortable."

Eddie nodded and distracted herself with looked at the cracks in the concrete ceiling above her head.

"Ow. Jamie. That hurts."

Jamie made a face and moved Eddie's shirt over her belly slightly.

"There's some slight bruising on your belly Eddie. Do you feel like anything shifted?"

Eddie shook her head no.

"No. Is the baby ok?"

Jamie sighed.

"There's no way to tell without an internal exam or an ultrasound. Besides, it's not sterile in here. We'll just have to hope everything's ok. Have you felt her kick?"

Eddie could feel her emotions getting the best of her.

"I don't know…"

Jamie nodded and ran a hand lightly on her belly and them pulled her shirt over it.

"It's ok babe. She's probably just sleeping. She's probably fine."

Eddie hoped Jamie was right. She couldn't believe the mess they were in. She hoped they let them go sooner rather than later. She was due in another week.

To Be Continued…

A/N: So, what'd you guys think of this little twist to the story? Don't worry, their baby girl is still ok. I wouldn't do anything drastic to Jamie and Eddie. They deserve their happiness.
