Here's a story for the holidays celebrated in Spring! Enjoy :)!
Of bread, daffodils, and Bunnies
March 30,
Spring had arrived at last. The weather was slowly warming up, as nature awoken from it's winter's sleep. The time of memory and rebirth was in full swing for those who celebrate this time of year-
Rabi: Not to be rude, but are you sure this is a good idea? I understand your curiosity but um-this?
-Two of which was being researched as Chief adjusted the staff in the Rabi's hand, the same one as well as the priest Alto had met recently.
Chief: Of course. I want to see this in action!
Priest: Pardon Chief but-I DO believe the parting of the entire sea was done when there was great NEED for it.
Arrow-head had a notebook in hand, writing down information.
Arrow-Head: You don't need to part it entirely, just a little bi-
Stampede: What are you doing?
The four turned to see the confused Stampede starring at the scene before him.
Chief: We're researching how humans used some powers just like in the history and religion books. Turns out a guy named Moses parted the sea to escaped this pharaoh called-well his name varies.
Stampede: Yeah I'm pretty sure Moses had help from the big guy as well as the environment.
The Rabi and priest blinked at that.
Stampede: Hey even miracles need a hand, gotta be a team effort.
He walked over and looked over the staff.
Stampede: Still amazing how wood can do that.
Arrow-Head went over rubbing his head.
Arrow-Head: Sorry about, possible making you two look silly.
Priest: Nonsense, it is understandable you all are curious about us.
Chief: Yeah. If we may ask, but DO you have powers?
Rabi: IN a way. We as humans are still figuring out the mysteries of the world. There are those who can communicate with animals, can do amazing feets with their body, and there are those who work and talk with the spirits.
Stampede: But as for powers like we Rusher have, it is not available to humans.
Rabi: The ability to fly or the fact one of you can shot lighting, no we do not. It is astounding how you were gifted with abilities only told in the myths of old. One of your Rusherz is even named after one, Thor i beleive.
Chief: Yeah, his full name is Thoren though. We just call him Thor as a nickname.
With that the group began to walk away from the water front.
Stampede: If i may ask you two, given your path, what is with all the suffering the good souls had to go through. Reading the book you have given us, as well as the history books, we noticed so much suffering. From using your fellow humans as labor without pay mind you, lust for power and DON'T get me started on how much bloodstains you have on your hands.
Both went silent upon the question.
Priest: I take it you have read upon the Book of Exodus, as well as the passion.
Arrow-Head: Not really Passion to be honest. Why is it you humans do all this?
Silence once again.
Rabi: There, is not a concrete answer to your question. Man moral compass has been a strained and confusion concept. What has happened to us, is what some called 'causes'.
All three: Causes?
Priest: Yes. Some are bad, true. But, there are those which are good causes as well. Yes, it does mean those good causes might result in the spillage of blood.
Rabi: But, sometimes for humanity, it is the only options left. Such as the plagues with Moses to free his people, the civil war to end slavery.
Priest: The passion, to us in our religion, to destroy sin, or the fight for freedom from persecution. Sometimes, the greatest sacrifice is the sacrifice of moral.
All three Rusherz nodded as they continued to walk. Soon, the three Rusherz gave small smiled.
Stampede: Dispite all that, you have to admit this time of year really comes to life.
Chief: Not to mention alot of activity is happening here, not just with your holiday.
Both smiled at their outlook upon the season.
Both: Tis Spring my friends.
White house...
Beast took in the scent of the kitchen he was walking by. He loved the smells that was coming from there. He decided today he was going to visit as he turned to the kitchen. He opened the door as his noses was greeted with the smells of the food cooking. He gave a warm smiled closing his eyes in content as he smiled.
?: Excuse me?
Beast opened his eyes seeing the chef look at him curiously.
Beast: Sorry about that, it smells so good in here.
Chef: *smiles* Nothing to apologies for, tis a perk working with food. What brings you here?
Beast fully came in with a nod.
Beast: Well, i-I want to thank you for the food since we got here. I know the others have told you but i wish t do it again.
The chef smiled as Beast looked in awe.
Beast: Man, wish we had this back on Cordalion. I could have alot more space and utensils to work with.
Now this caught his attention.
Chef: You cook?
Beast: Yep, was the one who cooked for all of us. Had the skills and it is very enjoying. Been awhile since though.
The chef then had a great idea.
Chef: Beast, would you like to try to cook with earth's food and utilities.
Beast eyes widen as he made a grin nodded walking over as the Chef went to a rack, placing a chef hat on him as he tucked the mane in.
Chef: There we go. Now, a good start up food is bread. I was just starting to kneed this dough before making another batch. Mind doing that.
Beast: Sure thing.
Beast looked at the dough, starting slow as the chef started to make more dough. He smiled seeing the Lion Rusher kneed and smiling.
.
.
Swoop looked at the daffodil blooming around the courtyard. He smiled in awe seeing the yellow flower almost glow in the sunlight. He had to admit even though he was still new to the planets wildlife, he definitely loved the nature.
Swoop: These are really pretty.
Swoop opened the book on flowers turning to the page where the flower was.
Swoop: Daffodils are known to be the symbols of spring, often being associated with festivities or religious holidays. The symbols of daffodils varies between cultures from being symbols of death/misfortunes to symbols of good fortunes-*noticed something* Hm?
Swoop saw something in the flowers twitching. He slowly crept over, gently moving the daffodils away as to not break them-he silently gasped seeing a small creature shaking. It had long ears, it's nose twitching as it's button like eyes turned to him with a coat of brown and white. Swoop heart melted upon seeing the small creature.
Swoop: *gently* Hi there little fella.
His voice became gently and almost fairy like as to not scare the small critter. He gentle picked the creature up, giving small strokes and pets as the creature calmed down.
Swoop: *gently* Wonder what you are, your really cute though.
Swoop carefully got up as he walked inside with the new creature in his arms.
.
.
Stampede: Thank you very much, you gentlemen have a good day.
The two men nodded as they walked out. Stampede smiled as Chief and Arrow-Head nodded heading off. It was there Stampede saw Swoop walk in with a strange creature in his arms.
Stampede: Swoop, what you got there?
Swoop: Cute right, I found them outside shaking. I was worried about them in this condition so i took them with me.
Stampede nodded, betting the creature from behind the ear.
Stampede: Sure there's a book on this little guy. K-9's there today so he might find something.
.
.
K-9 smiled reading a book when Stampede and Swoop came in.
K-9: Hey guys, *sees the Creature* hey that's one of the native creatures on earth right?
Swoop: Y-Yeah, how did you-
K-9: I was just reading about them. *Eyes the book* Apparently this little guy is a Rabbit of the domesticated kind. There are wild rabbits but this one is more of, from what i read, a pet used for companionship.
Stampede: Then why was it left outside?
K-9:-Abandon..by the looks of it.
Swoop looked sadly at the small rabbit, giving some pets.
Swoop: It's so small, it won't survive being indoors for most of it's life.
K-9 closed the book as he went over looking the rabbit over.
K-9: He looks to be one year old. Most rabbits domesticated live for, about five-eight-sometimes twelve years.
Swoop looked at the rabbit, who looked at him back.
Swoop: Hey, Stampede...
Stampede: Yeah?
Swoop:-Can i keep him?

Fang was walking around the halls talking to Chief and Arrow-head on what they learn.
Fang: I mean-it's good to know how things work here, but was it necessary to make the two try and reenact those moments.
Chief: Well, I didn't know these events had to be for all or nothing moments. And I KINDA wanted to see that happen in actions.
Fang: I know you wanted the Rabi to part the sea, but what did you need the priest for?
Arrow-head: Well, we read that this one major figure from his religion was able to raise the dead. So we were about to see if he could do it.
Chief: But thinking about it it might be more of a doctor and priest combo.
All three stopped smelling something good.
Fang: Hold on a moment, you smell that.
Chief: Yeah it smells good.
The three walked down to where the kitchen was opening the door. They blinked seeing a floured dotted Beast happily taking out a tray of bread.
Arrow-head: Beast?
Beast: *sets tray down* Hey guys! Take a look at this!
The three went over seeing the rows upon rows of fresh bread as the chef smiled.
Chef: Hello boys. Beast here was helping me in the kitchen, needless to say he is a fast learner and a excellent student.
Fang: *awe* You made all this?
Beast: I may have gotten overselvous.
Fang took a loaf, breaking a piece off and biting it. A warm smile formed on his face.
Fang: *licks* This is really good! *To Chief and Arrow-head* You guys have to try this!
Chief and Arrow-head followed suit, smiles also forming on their faces.
Arrow-head: This taste great!
Chief: Yeah, how did you-
Beast: Got alot more stuff to use when cooking...*idea forms* Hey, I have a idea.
April 5...
Liberty: *takes a bit* Mmmh..*shallows* I gotta say this was a good idea!
The Rusherz were outside the white house having a Picnic, Beast having made the food. They were seated around the flowers with daffodils being at the forefront. Swoop grabbed a piece of lettuce bring it over to the rabbit in his arms as it began to nibble on it.
Swoop: Here you go.
Scavenger: I can't believe folks would abandon such a small creature like that.
Toro: I guess they feel it wouldn't fit the other holidays coming up, but there has to be a better way than just throwing it out.
Stampede petted the rabbits ear.
Stampede: I'm sure we'll think of something. Seems you taken quite a liking to the wildlife here Swoop.
Swoop nodded with a smile.
Swoop: Yeah, I do. Both plant and animal. I really am looking forward to seeing more.
Chief: We'll probably see more with the weather warming up more.
Arrow-Head: I'm looking forward to seeing this planet when the leaves come out.
They all agreed as they ate and conversed.
.
.
Woodrow Wilson and his wife smiled in a embrace seeing the Rusherz enjoying the outdoors.
Edith Wilson: I'm so glad their adjusting to our world.
Woodrow Wilson: Bit by bit my dear, though I Do think it would be a good idea to make sure the other religious pastors know. I heard they had the Priest and Rabi try to reenact the scenes from the book.
Edith chuckled a bit. Four months of the Rusherz being in the community, and both hoped that despite what bumps and holes would come, the future would look bright as the sun for the Rusherz.
Happy Spring Celebrations everyone :)!
