Opening my eyes, I found it hard to breathe. Looking around, I saw I was in a metal box. Not a coffin, but a room. Looking down at myself, I found my body was wrapped in bandages. Grabbing my face, I found that it too was wrapped.

My face felt slimmer, most likely due to the fire. My cheeks were gone, my teeth, think what I felt. It didn't hurt, so I have been out of it for sometime. Getting out of bed, I walked over to one of the four walls, a lip with each step.

Placing my hand on the wall, I watched it crack. Pulling it back, I looked at my hand, then the cracks that formed. Hearing metal move on the other side, I lookedI looked through the cracks to see a group of men in white moving a girl with poles connected to her neck.

"Hold her still!" One of them ordered as she fight against them. "Don't let her move her hands!" They said, where I watched her lean forward, showing me that she was in a straight jacket.

Backing up, I placed my hands against the wall, watching, as the cracks covered the entire wall. Watching it shatter, everyone turn to face me, where some of them backed up.

When I yelled, only Gargling noises came out. I had tried telling them to leave her alone. Grabbing my neck, I found that the fire and most likely the smoke had destroyed that part of my body worse than any other part.

Hearing pops and clicks, I looked over at the men. There were eight of them, four holding the poles that held the girl, four with extendable batons, but with prongs at the ends of them. The prongs were most likely a sign that they were also tasers.

One of them charged me and made a jabbing motion with his weapon. Grabbing it, I moved it aside and pulled him closer, getting in his face, watching the color drain from his eyes. Grabbing his face, I screamed in his face to die, with him screaming as well before falling over, dead.

Looking over at another one, this one screaming as if it was a battle cry. I moved the body in his path, watching as he hit it instead, breaking the body in half. This shocked him as he looked down at the legs that had been pushed to the side. Grabbing his face, I made him look at me, where he screamed before passing.

"Call a code blue!?" I heard, where I looked over at the guards who were holding the poles, watching as they all ran. The other two came at me together. I ducked under the first ones swing and moved to the side of the other one. Jumping at them, I grabbed both of their throats, squeezing them to prevent any screaming as they died.

Looking over at the girl, she looked back at me with wide eyes. Breaking the necks of the men as I stood up, I walked over to her, with me feeling a difference in my steps. Stopping, I looked down, I saw that I had healed my wounds when I took their lives. Placing a hand on my face, I felt that I was healed somewhat, meaning that I needed more in order to heal completely.

Looking back at the girl, I took notice of her face, the dark rings around her eyes, that almost looked like eyeshadow, her scarred blue eyes, her messed up shoulder length black hair, and how red her lips were. Walking over to her, I grabbed one of the wooden poles and moved closer to her, with me seeing that she was scared stiff.

Now inches from her, I moved my hand over to the collar around her neck, with her flinching once I reached for her. "Hold still." I told her with a rasp in my voice. "I don't want to hurt you." I said as I placed a finger around the leather, watching as it turned to dust. The poles fall, with me still holding onto the one I had grabbed earlier.

Bringing it over to my knee, I slammed it against it, breaking it into two. One small, and the other a really long piece. Taking the smaller piece, I walked behind her and cut the strap restricting her arms. She brought her hands in front of her, looking at then, then back at me. "Is this a dream?" She asked, with me looking at the way the guards ran.

"If it is, then it's their nightmare." I said as I held the stick out to her. "I can't touch you, now with skin contact. So, if you wish to escape with me, then take the stick and follow me!" I said, with her looking at it, thinking on what she must do before.

"There is one person we must meet before we try escaping, he can stop us." She said, narrowing her eyes at me. "Charles Xavier, a telepath. He will know I'm coming for him, but not you. We stop him, we are home free." She said, with me looking down at my hands.

"So he also has powers?" I asked, then looking at her. "And you?" I asked, where she raised an eyebrow at me. "Do you have powers? They said something about your hands... are you cursed like me?" I asked, where she looked at her hands.

"Cursed with the memories of this place." She said, looking back at me. "I am a sort of witch to these people, they call me the Scarlet Witch." She informed, with me nodding as her lips were scarlet in color. "My name is Wanda, and yours?" She asked, making me smile.

"Dakota, and I guess I take the life, or decay anything I touch. A monster." I said, holding the stick up towards her, with her taking it, where we both shook it, smiling at the other. "Let's find this Charles so that we can get out of here." I said, where she took off, with me following her down the halls.

The run didn't take long, some turns here and there and we finally reached a room at the end of a hall, a metal door. Pushing it open, I jumped at the man in the wheelchair, but stopped as it felt like millions of needles were prying away from the inside of my head. Grabbing it, I yelled as I leaned forward, where I felt Wanda use my back as a spring board to get to the man.

Once the pain stopped, I got up to help her as they were rolling on the ground. "No!" She yelled, where I watched her hand get coated in blue energy, and Charles stopped moving, looking as if he had been in a trance. "He doesn't die!" She said as she wiggled her fingers. "I'm going to use him to send a message to my father, to let him know that I'm coming for him"! She said, where I crossed my arms as I watched her do her thing. "I will also make it to where he won't be able to remember either of us, making our escape all but assured." She said, with me grabbing a guard who had ran in, killing them.

"How long will that take?" I asked, with her backing away from him.

"It should be done. I've never actually done this before." She said as she stood up. "Let's go!" She said as she grabbed the stick in my hand and dragged me away. I couldn't help but smile at her as it was like saving a princess of all things.

The witch and her monster, it seemed fitting.
