Filled with anger and despair, I ran through the woods of the Boiling Isles. My heart was pounding with each step, the deeper I went the more dense the woods got. My footsteps echoing through the quiet serenity.

As I ran, I came to a stop as a Giant fire based hand grabbed one of the trees. Watching get get pushed to the side, I watched as a thick molten demon walked towards him. I expected his flames to burn the woods, but it didn't. Seeing it's bright white eyes look down at me, I watched as a flame sword formed in its hands.

Seeing it being it's arms back, it swung its sword at me. Bringing my arms up, I expected to be incinerated. However, that was not the case. I felt intense heat, my skin burning away, my screams filling the air around us, but at the same time, I was healing like before. I felt the fire being absorbed into me, but the heat would no doubt kill me.

Once the heat stopped, I looked up and saw that the inferno lord was now a giant statue. Talking a few steps forward, I reached out to it, placing my hands against it. The stone statue fell backwards, with me falling with it. The Stone Statue shattered, and I was gasping for air.

He defeated the Inferno Lord with such ease!? I heard, where I opened my right eye to look at the person who spoke. It was a group of people in white robes, all of them wearing bird masks. It reminded me of the Court of Owls from Batman, but that couldn't be right.

One of them grabbed my hair, what remained of it anyways and pulled it off with some of my skin. Wow, gross!? He yelled as he tossed it aside. Trying to speak, he looked back at me. You're still alive? He asked, with me blinking twice as I spoke. Well, sucks to be you. He said as he stood up and stomped down of my face.

later

Opening my eyes, I looked up at the muffled voices. Seeing a king like figure, I also saw darkness coming off of them. Lock him away. He said, with the others kneeling to him.

Of course, Emperor Belos!? They all said as one, wheee I was dragged away once more. Seeing that I was awake, I was hit in the back of the head, taking me out once more.

Later

In a cold and desolate cell, I was hung by my arms, my body facing the entrance, a haunting reminder of my defeat and the burns that marked my flesh. Time would became an endless cycle of pain and isolation.

Earlier, Wanda's POV

"Eda, I can't shake this feeling of worry for Dakota." I said as I looked up at Eda as she stood next to the window, looking outside. "He's out there, all alone, he doesn't have the ability to fight with magic like we do." I said, as he could touch anything to kill it, but that put him at a heavy disadvantage against anyone with range.

Eda game me reassuring smile. "Wanda, my dear, I understand your concerns, but Dakota should be resourceful and strong with his powers. I'm sure he's fine..." she said as she looked out the window with her own worry. "However, I must admit, with darkness settling in, even I have a flicker of worry as well." Eda said as she crossed her arms.

The weight of the approaching nightfall seemed to hang heavily in the air, casting a shadow over our hopes. I was determined and had made my decision.

"I can't just sit here and wait, Eda. I'm going to search for him. Is there a town? If there is then I'll start by looking through the town. If he's in danger, I need to find him before it's too late." I said as I walked over to the door.

"Yes, it shouldn't be very far. Go, Wanda. Trust your instincts. I'll be here, hoping for his safety. Take care, and find him soon." Eda said, with me nodding as I took off out the door.

later

Finally, I had found him. But my heart sank as I witnessed the horrifying scene. Dakota, half-dead and burned, was forcefully dragged into a castle that loomed in the distance. I was determined to help him, and I knew I had to act swiftly and discreetly.

Avoiding the prying eyes of the guards, I slinked through the shadows, my steps light and cautious. I scoured the castle's exterior, seeking an entry point that would grant me access to Dakota's imprisonment.

Eventually, I discovered a hidden passage, concealed from view. My heart was racing, I slipped through, navigating the labyrinthine corridors until I reached Dakota's cell.

My heart broke at the sight before me. Dakota hung from his arms, his body limp and unresponsive. I realized that the cell was infused with a repellent against magic, with me guessing that my powers were useless in freeing him.

Gently, I approached Dakota's cell, holding onto the bars as I looked at him, my voice filled with determination and tenderness. "Dakota, I'm here. I promise I won't leave you. I'll find a way to free you, no matter what." I whispered in a low tone. He was my friend, and I hoped he heard me.

With a heavy heart, I knew that drastic measures were necessary. I decided to seek out Eda for help.

Later

when I arrived at Eda's home, I was met with an empty space. Eda was nowhere to be found. Thinking on my feet, I made a bold decision once I saw the suitcase. Opening the door to the human realm, determined to find my father and secure Dakota's freedom.

I would free him, even if I had to ask help from the devil himself.
