I was on the Hunt for my Father, and Brother. If I was to find my Father, I first had to find my Brother. Humans knew of Mutants, as some time had gone by sense I was last here. My father destroyed the Sentinel, but many others were caught. He declared war on the Humans for making such a weapon. The X-Men were on good terms, as they were students and wanted peace. Having tracked one of them down, I interrogated them.
He told me of a mutant that lives in the sewers, and knows if someone is looking for them. Caliban. He could find any mutant, if you have a name. I had two. Eric and Pietro. The chances of finding Magneto were next to none, but Pietro was a different story.
"Toss us some coin and we'll let you pass." Someone said, with me looking at who had spoken as I continued to walk past them. "Dis us, like you're doing, and you got problems." He said, with the other two getting up and joining him.
With a wave of my hand, I sent the cars as well as street lights after them, scaring them to the point that they ran. I walked over to the ally where Caliban was, with me looking around for him, only he wasn't here.
A cat jumped off the trashcan, with me looking at it. "Word is, you are looking for me." Someone said, with me looking back at them, with me seeing a man who had clearly not seen the sun in years, he even had no hair.
"I was told that you have the power to find other mutants, with just your mind." I said, pointing at my head.
"Who are you searching for?" Caliban asked, his voice sounding like a talking snake.
"My father, Magneto." I said, with Caliban's eyes widening as he didn't expect that.
He shook his head, where he then turned around. "No, I can not help you." He said, turning his back on me.
"Then you should be able to find Pietro." I said, with him stopping. "Pietro has a direct link to Magneto, so he should come to me if I get him." I said, with Caliban thinking about it.
"You will find him three cities over, there he is laying low." Caliban said, looking at me.
The next day
Getting off the bus, I walked with a dinner to grab something to eat. Once I reached the dinner, I stopped once we saw Pietro sitting down inside. My first instinct was telling me to throw death threats, but I couldn't do that, I needed his help. Walking over to the seat next to him, I sat down, with a waitress coming over. "What will it be hun?" She asked, where I looked at the menu.
"What's the BEP?" I asked, where Pietro spitting up his coffee. "What's your deal, bro?" I asked as he coughed.
"It's our version of the McGrittle, Beacon, Eggs, your choice on cheese on mini pancakes." She said as she looked at Pietro. "You ok hun? You look like you've seen a ghost?" She asked as Pietro shook in fear.
"He's fine, just shocked to see his Twin Sister is all." I said as I looked Pietro. "That will be my order. Orange juice for my drink." I said, not breaking the eye contact that I had formed with my brother.
"Ok, if you say so." She said as she walked off.
Pietro got up and ran, but he didn't get far as I used my powers to catch him, make him walk back over and sit down. "That was rude." I said, looking forward.
"How else am I supposed to react to you, you killed five people when you escaped!?" Pietro whispered yelled, making me sigh as I had forgotten about that. "For all I know, you'll give me the same death!" He said, where I shook my head.
"That wasn't me." I said as I looked back at him. "That was Dakota, a mutant who kills anything he touches." I said, shocking him. "He only transferred that day from a hospital down south, I watched as they brought him in saying that he was in a coma. No one expected him to wake up." I informed as I looked forward. "He wanted to help me, and he did. We escaped after making Charles forget about us, made our way to the Demon Realm, and he was captured. My spells won't work on his restraints, but Fathers powers will." I said as I looked back at him. "That's why I'm here, I need fathers help, to save my friend." I said, where Pietro let out a groan of annoyance.
"You expect me to believe that you went to the Demon Realm?" Pieter said as he made finger remarks when he said Demon Realm. "There are a lot of things in this world, but not demons." He said, where I turned to face him.
"I met the Owl Lady." I said, where he shut his mouth all together. "Mother's story about a giant fallen titan and a whole new world, and how she met her best friend the Owl Lady. She is from that world, and the giant fallen titan is the land, also there is acid for rain, mother left that out. Anyways, her name is Eda, and she was teaching me how to control my powers... up until I upset Dakota and made him run off." I said, looking down at the counter.
"It was just a story, Wanda. It's not real." Pierrot said as he did the same.
"I don't care if you believe me or not but I need fathers help. Where is he?" I asked as my drink arrived.
"Wanda, I have no idea where he is!" He said, looking at me.
"Then tell me, how was it that you communicate with him?" I asked, with him looking at down.
"Listen, I don't go to him, he comes to me!" He said, with me getting an idea.
"Then I guess I have to make him come get you." I said, looking over to him. "Care to trust your dear sister?" I asked, where he let out a groan of annoyance.
The next day
"He should be making his move." I said, flying above the cargo truck that held my brother. The entire mountain started shaking, with me grabbing on for stability. Looking down, I saw mutants had started to fight the military. "He sent his lackeys." I said as I got ready to fight. Seeing the army shooting new guns, I raised an eyebrow as I didn't expect them get a form of blaster. Sliding down the side, I jumped off and kicked a Toad mutant, with him hitting the van holding Pietro.
The van was moved as the a Blob of a man came through, pushing a car towards. I ducked under it by bending backwards, with me spinning around and slamming my hand into the ground, causing the earth to rise up and hit him between the legs. "Wow, where have you been all my life, baby cakes?" The Toad said, standing on the van, looking at me.
"Gross." I said, where the road started shaking again. Looking at the master of the earth, I got ready to toss rocks at him, when I took notice to a car heading my way. I narrowed my eyes as I got ready to move, only to get tackled to the side. Rolling on the ground, I turned to face a girl with white and brown hair, her hand reaching out for my face. "What are you doing?" I asked as she grabbed my face, where I was met with extreme pain.
later
Opening my eyes, I saw nothing but darkness. Walking forward, I heard water under my feet with each step I took. "Hello?" I called out, not sure where I was. Hearing a snapping sound behind me, I quickly turned around where I encountered Dakota.
Dakota stood before me, his lively features distorting and withering before my eyes. His eyes, once green, now stared at me with a sickening bright blue color. With each passing moment, his body continued to deteriorate, a physical manifestation of the pain and betrayal he felt. I could feel the weight of his anguish, it was a heavy burden.
Opening my mouth, I found that no sound came out of me. Grabbing my throat, I looked on in shock as he got worse and worse, becoming a mud like creature. He let out his anguished cries. "It's all your fault!? / You did this!? / I'm dead because of you!? / You promised to come back?! / Help me!! / Liar!? / Deceiver!?"
His voice echoed through the darkness, with me covering my ears, but it wasn't sound, it was going straight to my head! I watched as Dakota's form decayed further, his body crumbling away like dried leaves. The sight tore at my soul, my heart breaking with each passing second. I wanted to plead with him, but my voice filled nothing, I wanted to keep promising that I would have returned, that I hadn't forsaken him.
But Dakota's accusations continued, echoing through the desolate void. He refused to understand, trapped in his own pain. My heart ached as I realized that no words could bring him solace, no apologies could mend the wounds I unknowingly inflicted. I felt the weight of my actions bearing down on me, a heavy burden that I carried. I yearned for his forgiveness, for the chance to make amends.
I found myself gasping for breath, my body drenched in a cold sweat. The vividness of the dream lingered, etching itself into my consciousness.
"Hello, Wanda." A familiar voice spoke, where I turned to my right and saw Charles. "It's been quite some time since I've last saw you." He said, here I grabbed my head as it felt like someone ripped it open.
"Charles, I take it that you're going to send me back to the asylum." I said as I looked back at him with a glare. "I won't go back without a fight." I warned as I got ready to take him down if needed.
"Of course not, Wanda. I'm here to help. Nightmares can be distressing, especially when they involve people we care about." Charles said, with me remembering that he could read minds. "Please, tell me what happened in your dream."
"Why should I, you clearly already seen it." I said as I looked away from him.
"Seen it, no, you kept screaming their name. Dakota." He said, making me flinch. "Rogue told me about them, and how you went to the demon realm." He said, with me looking back at him. "Rogue has a similar power to Dakota, but instead of death she gains their powers and memories. She feels for the boy, and his fate." He said, with me looking down, now knowing the name of the girl who touched me.
"In my nightmare, I was with Dakota... trapped in the depths of the demon realm, surrounded by darkness. I could feel his fear and desperation, and it haunted me. I... I need to find my father and bring him to the demon realm. With the help of my father, I believe that I can free him." I explained as I looked back at Charles.
"I understand your determination, Wanda." Charles said as he folded his hands. "It's natural to want to rescue someone you care about. However, getting to Dakota in the demon realm won't be an easy task." He said, with me nodding as I already knew that.
"I know... But I can't just abandon him there. He's my friend, and he needs me." I said, clinching my fists as it hurt to think of leaving him there, half dead.
"You don't have to hunt down your father." Charles said, with me looking at him in confusion. "The X-Men will help. We have a capable team here at the X-Mansion. If you're willing, we can join you in your mission to save Dakota." He said, where I looked at him with hopeful eyes.
"I can't express how grateful I am for your support. The sooner we can go and find Dakota, the better. We need to bring him back to safety." I said with a smile on my face.
"We'll do everything in our power to assist you. Together, we'll face the challenges ahead and bring Dakota back home. Remember, you're not alone in this. We're here for you every step of the way." He said, where he turned the chair around and started to leave. "As soon as you are ready, we will leave. I have a team picked out already." He said, with me nodding and getting up to get ready for the mission.
