Prompt: "I had a thought."

"Oh no."

"I swear it's a good one this time!"

"Hey, Ms. Kooper."

Jacoba sighed before looking over at Thorn, who was standing next to her desk in the hanger. He had a look on his face like he wasn't sure if he should even be talking to her. Rolling her eyes, she put down her pencil and turned so that she faced him more. "Thorn, I've told you, please don't call me that. Either Amazon, Jacoba, or J.D. would do. And you only call me that when you need something. So, what's up?"

"Umm, okay." Thorn still looked a bit unsure, but he took a breath and seemed to gain some courage. "Hey, Amazon."

Jacoba smirked and suppressed her laughter. "Much better, Thorn. How can I help you?"

Thorn's face lit up brightly and he practically bounced around the desk to stand right next to her. "So, I saw that there is a room off to the side of the hanger that looks like it's full of junk and what not. And I had a thought."

It was Jacoba's turn to have an uncertain look cross her face. "Oh, no, that sounds ominous."

"Hey now. I swear that it's a good one this time."

Jacoba pinched the bridge of her nose and took a long-suffering sigh. "Thorn, I've had to hide you from multiple members of the team on different occasions because of your previous thoughts."

"This is different! If the team worked together to clear out the room, we could put a bench or two in there and it could be a hub for us to fix things. Ooo, and we can call it the Hub!"

Jacoba shook her head and inhaled deeply. She looked up at the man she'd started to view as her brother. "Thorn, buddy, did you come to me or to Barney first?"

"You."

"Of course, you did." Jacoba looked up at the ceiling for a moment before sighing yet again and looking back at Thorn. "I tell you what. You go ask Barney about the room and I will back you no matter what. Ok?"

"Awesome! Thank you!" As Thorn bounced away to ask Barney, Jacoba sighed and put her head down on her desk. She was already second-guessing her decision. Oh, well, she'll just tell Barney her doubts later.
