The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Prompt: "I don't want to look like a princess, I want to look like a formerly evil queen who reluctantly redeemed herself for the side of good."
"You read too much."
"Damn right I do."
"Thanks for training with me today, Yin. It's good for me to change it up every once in a while."
Yin Yang chuckled lightly as he wiped his brow with a towel before looking over at his companion. Jacoba Dixie Kooper was pulling a t-shirt on over the tank top that she had worn while they had been training. The two of them had decided to switch things up for her training, since it had been decided (without her input) that she would usually train with either Gunnar or Lee. It had taken Jacoba yelling and glaring at Barney for almost two weeks to talk him into letting her choose her own training partners. Having Yin and the rest of the team backing her ideas helped her cause as well; she would be joining the team in the field in about a week now and they all agreed that she needed to train against other fighting styles in order for her to do so.
"No problem. Good to have different viewpoints."
Jacoba smirked. "I agree wholeheartedly. At least you're not calling me any pet names like 'princess' or something, like the last time I went to a bar with Lace." She visibly shuttered as she tossed her own towel towards the hamper she had gotten for the hanger.
Yin furrowed his brow as he also tossed his towel towards the hamper and grabbed his gym bag. "Do you not want to be called 'princess'?"
She scoffed as she slammed her locker door hard after grabbing her own gym bag out of it. "Of course not, Yin! I don't want to look like, or be called, a princess. I want to look like a formerly evil queen who reluctantly redeemed herself for the side of good."
He blinked twice before rolling his eyes and motioning for her to follow him and replied, "You read too much."
Jacoba began to laugh as they started out of the locker room, earning a confused look from Gunnar, who was sitting on a couch in the sitting room. "Damn right, I do, Yin." She skipped over to the Viking, who raised an eyebrow at her, but still took her hand as she held it out to help him up. "Come on, you two! Let's go get something to eat. Then maybe we can stop at a bookstore once we're done?"
"Woman, you've got enough books!" Yin held in a chuckle as he watched his partner attempt to be unaffected by the sad look that crossed Jacoba's face when he said that. In fact, he could see the moment when his partner caved in. "Alright, alright. We can stop at that damned bookstore that you use my card at so frequently. Just stop with the face already."
Jacoba perked up. "Well, com on then. So many books to read, so little time!" The three exited the hanger, laughing loudly at the antics of the one that they called the Amazon.
